Reacting to the Greenville Regional and the end of ECU's season

East Carolina's 2024 baseball season came to an end on Monday in the Greenville Regional with a 6-5 loss to Evansville. The Pirates fell to the Purple Aces on Friday before battling back out of the loser's bracket, eliminating Wake Forest and topping VCU before beating Evansville on Sunday night to force a winner-take-all finale. But on Monday, Evansville found a way to outlast East Carolina, to win the Greenville Regional and advance to the Supers. The Pirates end the season 46-17, and shy of their ultimate goal, the College World Series, once again.
