episode.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
So what I do is I guide people through what I call
strategic repentance either adhoc like what you and I did,
okay, or a much more completeversion that clears up a lot of
stuff.
And I'd like to read just onemessage.
I teach in an addictionrecovery center here in Alabama.
If you know anything aboutpeople with addictions, it's not
just a singular issue.

(01:45):
There's all kinds of mentalillness and chronic pain and
addictions and relationshipstruggles and trauma, and I mean
it's just like a cesspool ofjunk.
So when I got through andtested it, I had the people
write a story of what happenedto them.
This is one of those ladies.

(02:06):
Her name is Catherine.
She said I want to thank youfor the prayer of freedom.
It has changed my life.
Growing up, my relationship withmy mom was really tough.
She was abusive and she and mystepdad would drink and get into
lots of fights.
By the time I was in seventhgrade, she said she didn't want
anything to do with me and left.
Can you imagine that as aseventh grade girl?
That's when life beganspiraling downward.

(02:30):
By 16 years old I was havingsex with lots of boys and
started getting into drugs.
That was just over 10 years ago.
Before doing this prayer, I wasaddicted to heroin and fentanyl
and meth.
I had a lot of worry and stressand anxiety.
On a scale of 1 to 10, theywere probably an 8.
I've had constant allergies andsinus headaches for years,

(02:50):
migraines five out of seven daysa week and a super heavy
feeling like I was carryingaround an overweight backpack
every day.
Life has really been difficult, but the prayer of freedom and
repenting changed everything.
Literally everything is gone.
No more sinus issues All gone.
No more headaches and migrainesAll gone.
No more heaviness it's all gone.

(03:12):
No more anxiety or stress orworries.
Literally, on a scale of 1 to10, they're all gone to zero.
I don't want drugs anymore.
I have no urges for themanymore and even the thought of
any drug disgusts me.
It's all gone and it can happen.
I've had people go through thisprocess in one day and it can

(03:34):
happen quickly, just like withyou.
We pray for 10 minutes at most, maybe it's only seven.
But significant changes, changes that medical science is
impossible the doctors say isincurable.
I've seen glaucoma disappear.
I've seen arthritis leave.
I've seen busted hips andbusted knees mend.

(03:54):
I've seen torn ligaments thatthe guy couldn't even stand now
be instantly healed and he'sdoing deep knee bends.
I've seen all kinds of things, everything that you read about
in the book of Acts, other thanraising the dead, I've seen
through the prayer of freedom.
It's really that amazing.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
This reminds me of a verse that I've been learning.
I've never said it out loud, soI'm hoping I can get it right,

(04:33):
but I read it, I want to say.
A couple days after we had ourfirst call and I was still
mulling over what exactly Ithought about everything.
And then this verse came whileI was reading chapter 28 of
Proverbs, verse 13.
Seals his sin will not prosper, but the one who confesses and
repents of them will find mercy.
I can't remember whattranslation that was, but I want

(04:55):
to say it was NLT.
But as soon as I read that, that just hit me with what we
had been through days beforethat, I felt that verse in a
different way.
Because I read Proverbs almostevery day.
Because there's 31 of them.
I try to do one a day.

(05:16):
I've been doing that fairlyconsistently for years.
That verse never really stuckout to me before, but it stuck
out to me then and I understoodit in a different way because of
what we went through with, whatyou helped me with.
It was a powerful life-changingmoment and that verse just kind

(05:36):
of solidified that repentanceis so much more than what we
think it is.
It's not just saying a blanketI'm sorry for my sins.
Yes, god knows all your sins.
Maybe you don't want toactually explain to him every
single one because it's awkwardfor you or uncomfortable or it

(05:57):
makes you feel bad, but perhapssometimes we need to do that
because some of the things weare inflicting on ourselves or
some of the things we're feelingcould potentially go away if we
were to just let go of thoseburdens that we're holding on,
like the woman said, like aheavy backpack.
I mean, I do still feel so muchlighter and I remember that I

(06:20):
don't need to feel accused ofanything that I had done in my
past, because I had spoke it allout and I apologized to God
specifically for things.
So Satan can't touch me anymorein that subject matter.
There's no accusing me.
God already knows.
I already told him I'm sorryand I've turned away from that.
I'm free.

(06:41):
I don't need to worry aboutwhatever he might try to come at
me with.
So it's repentance.
I'm seeing it in a whole newlight and I'm seeing that it
goes deeper than what we're told.
Just repent of your sins is sucha vague statement that you
would think that you know I did.
I repented of my sins 20 yearsago, but I still have wicked

(07:04):
headaches all the time and youjust think maybe it's the season
and maybe it is.
I mean, in New England we'rehaving the craziest weather you
could possibly have One minuteit's warm, one minute it's
snowing.
That could potentially be ittoo.
But why not give fullrepentance a try?
Why not realize maybe you'reharboring something against

(07:25):
somebody?
Just let it go Go to the footof the cross, tell God you're
sorry, ask him to forgive youfor that unforgiveness and see
what happens.
Maybe the headache goes away, maybe it doesn't, but you're
going to feel lighter.
When we were done and I wascrying, you looked at me and
you're like, you feel lighter, don't you?

(07:51):
I said, yeah, I do, I feltlighter the whole day.
I felt like I was on a cloud, Ifelt relaxed, I felt at peace,
I was happier.
I still feel that way, not 100%like I did that first time, but
I'm more aware of ifsomething's going on with me, if
I'm feeling a negative emotion.
I need to check myself and seeis there something that I need
to let go of, is there somethingI need to repent for?
And it reminds me of what yousaid about Job when we were

(08:13):
talking, that he couldn't beaccused by Satan because he had
a constant posture of I need torepent or I should repent on
someone else's behalf.
He was constantly feeling thatthere's nothing wrong with that.
It's not like you're goingaround groveling on the floor on
your knees in sackcloth orwhatever.
You're not doing that, butyou're constantly aware of the

(08:36):
fact that you are a sinner inneed of a Savior and you may
have sins that you have notasked God for forgiveness of,
and there's nothing wrong withasking him for forgiveness.
And once you do and once it'ssincere, you don't have to keep
asking him for forgiveness forthat specifically if it was

(08:57):
sincere.
I mean, if you're still doingit and you have to keep asking
there's another problem therehave to keep asking, there's
another problem there.
But I don't need to constantlyask God to forgive me for what
you and I did over that firstphone call, because I have
already been freed from it.
I have already repentedspecifically for that.
So if it comes back to my brainand I remember that I did that,

(09:19):
it should just be a memory.
It should not be a feelingguilt, it should not be feeling
the same shame and everything, because I've been free from it
and I feel what.
I feel what she said in hertestimony.
That's awesome and, yeah, youfeel so much lighter when you
just let it go to God and Idon't understand why more people

(09:43):
don't get more specific withrepentance.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
So people don't get more specific with repentance
because they don't understandthe consequence.
Let me connect some dots foreveryone.
Sin creates consequence.
That consequence is torment inthe form of sickness, pain and
loss of physical capabilities, like lameness or glaucoma,

(10:07):
things of that sort.
I want to show you.
I'm going to read from Psalm 32.
This is in LT, because it does areally good job.
This is David.
He says when I refuse toconfess my sin Now, by the way,
confess is the same thing asrepent Okay, when I refuse to
confess my sin, my body wastedaway and I groaned all day long.

(10:28):
This is not figurative, this isface value.
His body was wasting away andhe was in pain.
He was groaning.
This is a physical ailment andit's very painful.
Day and night.
Your hand of discipline washeavy on me.
So what we find is that thesickness that we go through is
discipline due to unrepentantsin, and the way that we get rid

(10:50):
of the discipline is we do whatGod said to do, which is repent
.
Jesus came preaching onemessage, that's it.
Everything else falls underthis one message Repent, for the
kingdom of heaven is at hand.
When he sent his disciples out,two by two, into the villages
and towns.
He told them to preach onemessage repent.
And if you don't repent, thereis discipline.

(11:14):
And what I'm found and you seeit throughout the Bible once you
start looking in this way isthat the discipline is through
physical ailments and sicknesses, everything that medical
science says, oh, that'sincurable.
No, all you have to do isrepent of the root, the sin root
, and it goes instantly.
So, day and night.

(11:38):
Your hand of discipline washeavy on me.
David says my strengthevaporated like water in the
summer heat.
Reminds me of 1 Corinthians 15.
Paul is talking to theChristians who are taking
communion in a sinful attitude,by not caring for the less
fortunate, the poor.
He said because you're doingthat.
This is why some of you areweak.
Right here, my strengthevaporated, they're weak.
Paul continues some of you aresick and others of you have

(12:02):
already died.
These are acts of disciplinedue to sin.
Then back on Psalm 32, verse 5.
Finally, I confessed all mysins to you.
I repented and stopped tryingto hide my guilt.
I said to myself I will confessmy rebellion to the Lord and

(12:22):
you forgave me.
All my guilt is gone.
So what we start to see is sincreates consequence, and that
consequence is all theseproblems that we live with.
I'm not saying 100% of everyproblem in our life is a sin
root, but it's at least 90%, ifnot more.
And can I blow your mind and becontroversial real quick?

Speaker 1 (12:46):
You already have, keep going.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
The reason you felt lighter and the reason that
issue, that chronic issue, hasn't returned because the
demon or demons that werecausing it left.
When you feel lighter, it'sactually a demon spirit.
I want to read to you becausenow this goes well can
Christians have demons?
Different question from canChristians be demon-possessed?

(13:12):
We'll touch on that if you wantto.
I want to read just a list.
This is in the back of my bookand this is a list of spirits
mostly evil spirits that adeliverance ministry has
compiled over the last 20 or 25years.
And keep in mind the way theycompile it is they go through a
repentance process and commandit out and it leaves, so they

(13:34):
can document that that thingactually left and they now have
a pattern, just like medicalscience.
In fact, let me share howscience works.
Okay, so no one can see mebecause this is an audio, but
I've got a pen in my hand rightand the way physical science
works is if I have a pen in myhand and I let go of it, the pen
drops, and if I do it again, the pen drops.

(13:56):
And if you pick up your pen, ana, and you were to hold it and
let go of it, the pen's goingto drop.
And so now we can concludethrough empirical data, data
that we observe when you do thesame activity, the same result
happens.
Therefore, there must be somesort of a law that governs both
the result and the activity.
And now we call that lawgravity.

(14:16):
Well, you can do the same thingin the spiritual laws.
That's how this whole thingcame about figuring out that if
you repent of something, you getfreed of something, and then
figuring out what type of thingsto repent of.
And how do you get there?
Things like stubbornness that'sa demon spirit.
Sleepiness, stupidity not justbeing sleepy because you're worn
out, but a constant state ofsleepiness, fatigue, worry,

(14:38):
anxiety all these are demonspirits.
You have panic attacks, depression, you have sarcasm,
you have anger, you have fear.
Here's what I've learned aboutdemon spirits.
I find there's generally twotypes of spirits that attack
people.
One is simply a spirit ofinfirmity of some sort.
That's not necessarily a demonspirit, it's just a disciplined

(15:00):
spirit.
Best way I can describe it.
Because they just a disciplinedspirit is the best way I can
describe it, because they won'tspeak back.
Typically, when I would do adeliverance, I would interrogate
these things and I could neverinterrogate.
Am I blowing your mind?
Yet I could never interrogate aspirit of infirmity, but I
could interrogate the otherspirits.
So I started to see that thereare different types of spirits

(15:22):
that God uses, and some of themare actually sent from God.
They're all ultimately governedby him because he created the
spiritual laws that these thingsoperate in.
I show you in Scripture wherethis comes out and show you in
my book when you engage with ademon spirit, the way the demon
spirit works is it's nothing butan amplifier.

(15:43):
So every sin that we have, think about the sins we have a
sin of anger, sin of lust, sinof pride, sin of fear, sin of
depression, anytime.
These are things that we can doand if we do it strong enough.
Let's say anger, because I havea sin nature in my body, I'm
going to get angry at times.

(16:04):
You do something against me.
I'm going to be a little upset.
But if I get really upset, thenit opens up the door of what's
called a legal right for aspirit of anger to come in a
demon spirit of anger.
And what it is is a spirit oflike kind.
It says you opened up a door ofanger and I'm a spirit of anger
.
So I'm going to come in and I'mgoing to amplify your anger.

(16:26):
That's all.
These things are Demon spirits, are nothing but sin spirits.
They simply amplify sin.
They don't make me do anything, but they urge me to do
something.

Speaker 1 (16:35):
And that's why it's not possession right, Because
they don't make us do it.
Our sin nature makes us.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
Almost.
So hold that thought.
I'm going to come back topossession, because it's really
important to understand whatwe're talking about.
Okay, because most people usethe English version of
possession without going to theGreek word translated possession
, and what the Greek wordactually means.
So we have a different, a wrongdefinition, and then wrong

(17:02):
definition creates wronginterpretation, which creates
lots of chaos.
So here's how.
Here's how a demon spiritoperates.
It's an amplifier, so I have mymobile phone out and if I were
to put my earbuds plug into mymobile phone, it has what's
called a preamp.
It's a very low-wattageamplifier and that preamp I'm

(17:26):
going to be able to hear mymusic really clear if I put my
earbuds in my ear.
But if I take them out of theear and stick them three feet
away on my desk, I'm not goingto hear them very well at all.
So I could have this turned upall the way and I can totally
ignore it and focus on somethingelse.
It's just not much noise.
But imagine now I take mymobile phone and I plug it into

(17:49):
my home stereo that has ahundred watts output, and even
if those speakers are 10 feetaway or long further, if I crank
up my stereo to a hundred watts.
There's no way I can ignore itand there's no way I can
concentrate because it'll be soloud all the time that
eventually it drives me berserk.
So you have, you can see thisin addicts.

(18:10):
All the time they take anotherdrink but they don't want to,
but something urges them to andit's impossible to always resist
, usually when we're strong, just like even in Christian.
Possible to always resistUsually when we're strong, just
like even in Christian.
I'm going to fight thattendency to blow up at my spouse
and get angry and nitpick allthe time.
And while I'm strong and I justcome from a quiet time, I can

(18:31):
resist, but by the end of theday I'm wiped out.
I haven't eaten anything, thekids are fussy man, I'm just
going to lose it and blow up.
Why?
Because there's an amplifierand now I don't have the
strength to resist.
Once you get that spirit out, then everything calms down, even
in marriage relationships.
I have been helping people withmarriage relationships just

(18:54):
getting out spirit of anger, spirit of bitterness, spirit of
bickering, forgive the person, all these things, and now all
the bickering just calms downand they can actually engage
each other personally withouthaving these spirits that are
trying to divide them anddestroy.
You know, still kill anddestroy.
Jesus says it's what thethieves are trying to do.

(19:15):
So what happened with you andeveryone else is when you feel
that lightness, that's actuallythese spirits leaving you and in
almost all cases it's a evilspirit that we would call a
demon, just as a colloquial term.
And sometimes people will feelit coming out of their arm,
tingling, if they have pain, like I've got this pain in my
back, and they start to pray.

(19:37):
Anytime that pain shiftsposition, it's always a demon
spirit and usually that painwill shift position and then
come out.
And because Christians sin, then sin that's unrepented, is
the legal right and that's whyyou even said once I repented,
so now Satan can't attack meanymore.

(19:58):
So we already know that Satan ademon type of spirit, fallen
angel, but we use it all underthe name of demons generally.
We know that Satan attacks me.
Okay, we know that we're beingattacked, but now we start to
argue over how does that work?
But the reality is most of ushave demons and we can get out,
get rid of them throughrepentance, because it's the

(20:21):
demon that creates this chronicsickness, especially some of the
more difficult type of things, and it's always anger, addiction
, fear, anxiety, depression.
All these are demon spirits.
That that's their role.
Their role is to amplify thosethings.
So back to your comment aboutpossession, unless you have a
question.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
No, go ahead comment about possession.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
unless you have a question, no, go ahead.
Okay, so using the wordpossession the way we typically
use it in America, let's say Iown a home and I possess the
deed to that home, and that homeis my possession right.
And then I'm going to write alease contract to you and you're
going to pay me money, and nowyou're leasing my home.
So do you possess the home ordo you only dwell in the home?

Speaker 1 (21:05):
I dwell because I don't own it, I don't have the
deed.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
That's right.
So demons never own any humanbeing.
They can dwell in a human being, but they never own it.
Okay, Mm-hmm.

(21:32):
Okay Now, if so, then you lookat.
If you look at the Greek andthe English translations I use
ESV primarily, but sometimesthey'll say that someone is
demon possessed.
So the Greek word should morelikely be translated as
demonized rather than demonpossessed, because we have a
wrong understanding of whatpossessed means.
But Vine's Dictionary, which isone of the standards in Bible
translation dictionaries, goesback over 100 years, I believe,
and it's what all translatorsuse.

(21:53):
It's like the Webster'sDictionary of Greek and Hebrew
for the Bible and when it usesthe word demon-possessed, when
it uses the word demon-possessed, vine's dictionary defines it
as to indwell in a demon, dwellswithin or to control the body
of.
Okay, so he controls the body.
He doesn't possess the body, hecontrols it.

(22:14):
I've seen my first deliveranceChristian woman was a full-on.
You don't like to use the word, but I'll use it because it's
all I can explain Full-onmanifestation.
The demons took full controlover her body.
She's still saved, she still iscleansed by the blood of Jesus,
but she's under extremediscipline because of choices

(22:35):
she made in her life and thethings that were going on within
that house.
It was kind of a spooky house, probably witchcraft and seances
before they moved in.
So there's just a lot of stuffthere.
So that's possession, right.
The Catholic Church uses a term.
They have exorcism anddeliverance, and exorcism they
only do for what they callpossession, but what their

(22:58):
possession term is means simplya manifestation that a demon
spirit will actually take overthat person's body and control
it, either with or without theperson recognizing Sometimes the
person like the firstdeliverance I did, the person
was in a trance after we dideverything and I mean I got it
on video.
It's like you know, you can'tmake this stuff up and then I

(23:19):
would ask her about this and sayI don't remember any of it, she
went into a trance.
And then I would ask her aboutthis and say I don't remember
any of it, she went into atrance.
Other times, if a demon willtake over the body or just the
vocal cords of someone, usuallya lot of times that person is
still cognitive but they justhave no function over anything
and it's really freaky but it'svery real.
I think that's the point I wantto share is this is real and I

(23:43):
remember one of the missionariesI was doing a deliverance with.
He grew up in Brazil, which is asyncretism in the Catholic
Church, so kind of demon worshipwithin the Catholic Church.
But he has all these issues inhis life, this chronic pain the

(24:08):
doctors can't figure anythingout, what's going on and some
other issues.
So I come along and start doingthe deliverance with this and
interrogating these demons.
And they all came in before hewas a Christian.
One thing was in that Catholicchurch down there they worship
some, they pray to some saintthat happened to be a demon
spirit.
So now that's praying to ademon.
That's really bad.
It opens up the door for reallybad things.

(24:28):
Another thing is he listened tosatanic music and simply singing
along with the lyrics was a sin, because those lyrics gave
glory to Satan.
One of the spirits said whatgave you the legal rights?
It's giving praise to Satanthrough song.
I said, gio, what is he talkingabout?
He said I used to sing along tothese satanic songs.

(24:49):
Okay, well, let's repent ofthat, lord.
I repent of singing along tothe satanic songs.
All right, now go back to thespirit and cast him out.
So it's really different.
And I think I made the commentat the beginning of this call.
And I think I made the commentat the beginning of this call
once you experience, empiricaldata that conflicts with your
understanding of what the Biblesays.
Then you start to shift yourunderstanding of what the Bible

(25:12):
actually says me, as I startedto pray for people and they were
instantly healed and then Istarted getting to deliverance.
Then I started to do this Everylevel of increased revelation.
As the Lord keeps showing memore things in the spiritual
world and how he operates, thenit changes my understanding of a

(25:35):
lot of these things that I heldvery dogmatically to many years
back.
And as I go back to thescriptures I see all the
evidence there that I missed, because now I know what to be
looking for.
So that's possession and otherstuff.

Speaker 1 (25:50):
That's definitely very clarifying and I'm sure
that's going to help a lot ofpeople who are confused about
the topic.
It's definitely opened my eyesto a lot.
This whole conversation hasopened up my eyes to a whole lot
that I need to.
I still need to focus more and,you know, put God first in the

(26:13):
Bible and stop trying to forcemy human nature onto what is
written in the book, because asyou're reading, as you're saying
things, as you're reading theBible right now, during this
conversation, I'm hearing theverses in ways that I've never
heard them before.
Like I mentioned with thatverse that I quoted, I don't

(26:35):
know how many times I had readthat verse before.
I've read Proverbs so manytimes.
I've read that verse so manytimes.
Never once did it ever stickout to me at all.
And I'm sitting here going, wow, lord, what Beatty and I did.
Was that a thing from you?
Is that a real thing?

(26:56):
Did it really happen?
What should I think?
I don't know what to think ofthis.
And then I read that verse andit just hit me like I just ran
into a brick wall.
And it makes sense.
When you allow yourself tobelieve that God is more than
what you think or what you'vebelieved your whole life, he

(27:18):
will show you new things.
You have to be open to the ideaof letting Him speak to you,
and once he speaks to you, he'sgoing to blow your socks off.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
I like to make a suggestion on that.
This is what I did.
I mentioned it.
Now we're on this topic onemore time.
Take everything that you'vebeen taught.
Don't throw it away, butquestion it.

Speaker 1 (27:52):
Who doesn't love free ?
I know I do.
That's why I created a freeseven-day devotional for those
who want to go deeper with God.
It's a short devotional full ofencouragement, guidance and
impactful Bible verses relatedto everyday struggles we all go
through.
I know you will love thisdevotional as much as I enjoyed
writing it and since it'sdigital, you can do it anywhere,
anytime, Perfect for the personalways on the go.

(28:13):
Get the free devotional whenyou sign up for my mailing list.
The link is in the show notes.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
So when my church was so adamant that supernatural
gifts had ceased that theyattributed the healing of these
people, as I was sharing thegospel, to Satan, I was saying
that's not Satan, I'm sharingthe gospel with him.
He wouldn't do that.
Then what I realized is if theymissed that and that's a pretty
big miss, because the Bible isvery clear about supernatural
gifts then what else do theymiss?
So that's when I said I'm goingto reject the authenticity and

(28:51):
the authority of everythingthey've taught me.
I'm going to use it as aworking premise, but I'm not
going to be convinced of ituntil I actually see it in my
own eyes in God's word, and letGod reveal it.
And so what happens then is youstart to read the scriptures
with no predetermination of whatit should be saying, but you
read the scriptures at facevalue and say Lord, show me and

(29:14):
I'll show you a book I did.
Your readers won't see it, butI started taking notes that the
Lord would give me.
And he spoke to me and said hespoke to me through the
scripture and said open yourmouth wide and I will fill your
mouth.
And I understood that to bethat, as I would speak out my
thoughts on my.
I use OneNote, so that's speechto text on my phone.
As I would speak out mythoughts, he would actually fill

(29:36):
my thoughts with his words andI called them nuggets and after
five and a half years he told meto publish them.
And this is my study book, called Nuggets of Faith, and
it's the Lord taking me intothis deep dive where I had no
preconceived idea of what God'sWord should have said, and

(29:58):
actually reading it as if it wasthe brand new time, first time
I've ever read it and what doesit say?
And allowing God to show mewhat it says and the level of
revelation, of understandingGod's Word at a deeper, deeper
level, was just off the chart.
So I would encourage everyonedon't take my word for this
Check it out.

(30:18):
I would encourage you to buy mybook, theprayerfreedombookcom,
because it's full of Scripture.
I show you in Scripture what iswritten and explain it in the
light of sickness and pain andissues with our family and
patterns and everything elsewhere it comes from Scripture,

(30:40):
and then go back to your Bible, pull up those same Scriptures
and read it in context.
That's how you're going tolearn and how you're going to
verify if my interpretation ofScripture is accurate.
Just before I started prayingfor people for healing, I
started buying some books fromfaith healers.
Pray for people for healing.

(31:01):
I started buying some booksfrom faith healers and with the
intention.
I had no interest in what theiropinion was.
I just wanted to know what arethe scriptures you're reading
that brings you to theconclusion that healing is for
today.
And then I would go to theBible and study it myself and go
, wow, that's exactly what itsaid.
And that started to open myeyes because now someone was

(31:23):
guiding me into God's word.
And then God would open hisword up and say that's just
exactly what it says and that'show you study his word.

Speaker 1 (31:33):
Well, I'm definitely getting your book.
I know my husband and I willdefinitely appreciate it,
because we've had many aconversation about this topic
and gotten into some argumentsabout it, because I have my
strong opinions and he has his,and they rarely matched up and

(31:56):
I'm gonna have to probablyapologize to him at one point
because he may have been moreright about this subject than I
was.
So, if he's listening, youeither got your apology already
or I will, and you'll have toremind me when you hear this.
I love you.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
Yeah, spoiler alert, spoiler alert.
My book does not mention demonsanywhere because it scares most
people.
I call them, I use a term Icoined it call spirits of
discipline, because it putseverything into a simple
category and we can understandit.
But here's what happens.
God wants us to conform to hisimage right Romans 8, for we've

(32:37):
been predestined to be conformedto the image of his son, and
his son is the exact image ofGod.
We're not in God's image, we'rein Adam's image.
Fallen Adam.
Adam was made in God's image.
Then he fell, then he hadchildren.
It says that his children werein his likeness, not God's.
So the whole pattern is to beconformed back into the image of

(32:59):
God.
So if we use Jesus as our model, what's the big thing that
separates Jesus from us?

Speaker 1 (33:05):
He's holy and we aren't.
He's without sin.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
Bingo.
He's without sin, we're withsin.
So, to be conformed to theimage of God, the more we repent
of sin, which removes sin awayfrom us, and learn the
consequences of sin.
So we don't do it.
That's what discipline is,little Johnny, don't touch the
stove, it's going to be hot.
He touches it, burns his finger.
He's not going to do it again.

(33:30):
Yeah, right, once he learnedthat these issues sometimes he's
stupid and he's going to take afew more days, right, stubborn,
not stupid.
Once we learn there's real lifeconsequence to sin, we will sin
a lot less and we will repent alot quicker.
Did I tell you the story?
Because I'd like to share ithere but I forget?
Did I tell you the story of myson going into heaven?

Speaker 1 (33:52):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (33:53):
Okay, let me share it here because this is so
appropriate.
One of the times he was sharingwith me.
So my son, when he was probably19 or 20 years old, the Lord
was teaching him a lot of thingsas he was preparing him for his
work.
And he brought my son his nameis Beatty Jr into the heavenly
courtroom.
So imagine, you're in thiscourtroom.
There's no one there except youknow, no one you can see except

(34:16):
up on the dais.
You see God, the Father, is thejudge, and to his left he sees a
demon spirit.
And that demon spirit isaccusing my son of sin.
Because, keep in mind, satan iscalled the accuser of the
brethren.
The only thing he can accuse usof is sin and his only

(34:36):
authority over us is sin.
That's the only way he canattack us.
So my son was being accused bythis junior spirit, this junior
attorney, if you want to call itthat prosecuting attorney with
these sins.
And then the Lord told my sonplead the blood of Jesus.
So, keep in mind, in acourtroom here in the US, here

(34:57):
on earth, you have a prosecutorwho accuses you and then you
make a plea to the judge.
So my son made a plea to thejudge to God, the Father, and he
said I plead the blood of Jesus.
And instantly the demon spiritdisappeared, because once the
blood of Jesus was pled forthose sins, the sins were gone.

(35:19):
So watch this as it relates toRomans 8.
I think it's 828, 29, or 819,or some 8 and a 9 somewhere in
there.
But it says we've beenpredestined to be conformed to
the image of his son.
The more we repent of sin, themore that sin leaves us
disappears.
We're no longer under judgmentfor that sin.

(35:40):
The more that sin leaves usdisappears.
We're no longer under judgmentfor that sin, not eternal
judgment, but earthly judgmentin terms of discipline.
And now, the more we conform tothe image of Christ, we
eventually can become more andmore sinless Not perfectly
sinless, like Jesus was, but wecan become so sinless that we're

(36:00):
blameless.
This is what happened with Job.
God told Satan what do youthink about my servant Job?
He is blameless and upright.
It was blameless because he'sconstantly repented through
sacrifice.
And Satan said he only lovesyou because you put a hedge
around him.
You won't let me attack him.
He couldn't attack because hewas without sin, not that he

(36:22):
never sinned, but that every sinwas already sacrificed and
repented for.
As we start to live a life ofconstant repentance of every sin
, we become blameless.
When we're blameless, there's ahedge of protection around us
that we cannot have attacksbecause there's no legal right
to be attacked.
Then and you'll get into thisunder my book, it's also in my

(36:44):
app there's an understanding ofauthority and covering, where
the husband has authority overthe wife and mom and dad have
authority over the children.
And as a covering is strong, then those underneath the
covering are protected.
We see this, I'm going to pullthis up.
This is Genesis 3.

(37:04):
Let me show you covering in theBible.
This will blow your mind onceyou understand the deeper
ramifications of this.
And this is on the man rightnow, but you'll see the idea.
So this is Genesis 3, startingin verse 1.
The serpent was more craftythan anyone else.
He said to Eve you know, didGod really say you shouldn't eat

(37:24):
?
And we keep on going.
And then we come down to verse6.
So when the woman saw that thetree was good for food and that
it was a delight to the eyes andthat the tree was to be desired
to make one wise, she took ofits fruit and ate it.
Okay.
So imagine now.

(37:45):
Keep in mind Adam is right herebecause she's about to give the
fruit to Adam, which meansAdam's been listening to the
whole conversation with theserpent as well.
He just wasn't wise enough tounderstand the implication of
what was happening.
So Adam had been told by Godthe day you eat of this, you
shall die, don't eat of it.
So now he sees Eve eat of itand has she died?

(38:06):
No, because she's still alive.
And it says and she also gavesome to her husband who was with
her, and he ate, and watch thisverse 7.
Then the eyes of both wereopened.
In other words, as long as Adamwas without sin, he had a

(38:27):
protective covering over thewife and while she sinned there
was no implication because shewas protected by her covering.
But once the covering broke, they both fell.
And you see this understanding,oh, that's amazing.

Speaker 1 (38:43):
I said words matter.
How many times have we readthat verse?
Then you said then Instantlyscales off my eyes.
I understood where you weregoing with that.
Yes, wow.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
Words matter.
Keep in mind when Jesus wastalking to the Sadducees.
You know they were sad.
You see right, because they didnot believe in the resurrection
.

Speaker 1 (39:10):
Dad joke.

Speaker 2 (39:11):
I know that's an old pastor's joke, that too, going
around all the while, he saidyou're probably, you know.
They said well, this man had awife and he died and he had
seven brothers and each had awife.
And then, in the resurrection, whose wife will she be?
For all seven had her.
Watch what Jesus says.

(39:32):
You know neither the scripturesnor God, because did you not
read in the passage of Moseswith the burning bush, god says
I am the God of Abraham, isaacand Jacob, the simply the fact
that he said I am and not I was.
That one word is what Jesushinged everything of his

(39:56):
interpretation on A single word, and it wasn't spoken
figuratively or metaphorically,at face value.
Once you understand, to startto read the scripture at face
value, you'll reject nothing.
Because even if you don'tunderstand it, you'll know how.
About John 20, 23?
Jesus blew on them after he wasresurrected.

(40:18):
He blew on them and he saidwhatever sins you forgive shall
be forgiven in heaven, andwhatever sins you withhold
forgiveness from shall bewithheld in heaven.
And everyone says is Jesusreally giving us permission to
forgive sins?
No way.
That must mean somethingdifferent, because only God can
forgive sins.

(40:38):
Yet the Bible never says onlyGod can forgive sins the only
places in the Bible is thePharisees, whom Jesus rebuked
all the time for havingunderstood the scriptures wrong
consistently.
So the question then is didJesus say we can forgive sins?
Yes?
What does it mean?
I don't know, but I'm not goingto reject that.
That's exactly what it means.

(40:59):
Now my job is to pursuescripture more and understand
what it means or how you applyit or what he's really saying in
that.
But it can be.
It is at face value, just likethat word.
Then the eyes of both of themwere open.
Words matter and God placedeach word there specifically
because it matters.

Speaker 1 (41:21):
Yeah, beatty, you are .
Wow, everything has beenmind-blowing.
My heart is hearing all this.
My mind is a sponge.
I am ready to see the Bible ina whole new light, to see God in
a whole new light.
Thank you so much for coming onand having this really deep

(41:44):
conversation with me and withthe listeners.
I know that they're on the edgeof their seats as well, and we
want your book, we want yourwebsite, we want all the stuff
that you have your app to soshare with us again where we can
get your book.
Tell us about your app and yourwebsite if anyone wants to get

(42:09):
in touch with you.

Speaker 2 (42:10):
So the book is the most important thing because it
teaches you how to get free andwhy you should repent.
God said if my people who arecalled by my name will simply
repent and turn back to me,he'll heal their land.
We can set nations free throughrepentance.
So the book's name no only youcan see it, I'm holding it up.
The book's name is called thePrayer of Freedom.

(42:33):
Add the word book at the endand go to the website
prayeroffreedombookcom.
Okay, it'll take you straightto Amazon.
There's a button goes straightthere.
There's a short video you canlearn about it.
But, most important, you'll seesome amazing testimonials and
they're all almost all of themare absolutely true miracles.
It's just unbelievable.

(42:54):
Like one guy talks aboutdiabetes is healed, his sleep
blackness is healed, he givesaway his CPAP machine.
No more manic depression.
I mean just all this stuff justgone.
The other book if you reallywant to grow in understanding
God's truths at a deeper levelthat's not the preachy level,
but if what I've been sharingresonates, then you'll find that

(43:16):
stuff in this bigger book.
It's called Nuggets of Faithand there's not a link to go to.
Just go to Amazon.
Nuggets of Faith by BeattyCarmichael and it's a great big
on Nuggets of Faith by BeattyCarmichael.
Okay, and it's a great big, it'sa blue book and it has a plumb
line on it so that 407 nuggetscan be used as a devotional book

(43:39):
.
Each nugget is roughly aboutone page, so it's bite-sized
pieces and in the back there'san index with all the scripture
references.
So if you want to go straightto the scripture and look it up
and you'll go on the samejourney that the Lord sent me on
in understanding his word.
So my app you'll see it in thebook, the Prayer of Freedom,

(44:01):
because I integrate the app withthe teaching once you get into
the prayer portion, becausethere's a lot of follow-up
teaching.
How do you maintain this?
How do you help other peopleget free?
But if you just want my appdirectly, because there's a lot
of teaching, the app is on anyof the mobile phone, the app
store, the Play Store, and it'sthe name Get Radical Faith and

(44:23):
I'll give you a little plugabout it.
By passion, I'm a Bible teacherand I teach really deep stuff on
how to walk by faith, with thegoal of taking believers who
want to go to the next level andmove them up that level to be
fully trained so they can belike the teacher.

(44:45):
I really encourage you to getit.
There's one section that istied into the prayer of freedom
and that's why you'll see itreferenced in the book.
But you can download it.
They're all videos.
You can watch them on the app,you can listen to it as a
podcast and just listen to theaudio, but it'll blow your mind
what God's Word has in store foryou.
And that's the app name GetRadical Faith.

Speaker 1 (45:08):
All right, and do you have a website, just in case
anyone wants to message you, tell you how amazing this
episode was?

Speaker 2 (45:17):
I hate to say it.
As a really thorough teacher, Iget overwhelmed with too much
incoming stuff so I put up allkinds of barriers so no one can
get to me.
I apologize for that.

Speaker 1 (45:29):
No, that's fine.
Make your spiritual barrierssomewhere.
Everyone has to draw the line, that way they can stay close.
I mean, even Jesus retreatedfrom the people and went
somewhere quietly to be with theLord.
So I get it.

Speaker 2 (45:45):
I will make a quick promotion of what we're going to
do, because there may besomeone out there that can help.
All right.
We're going to start, once Ifind someone to help me with
this, a Facebook community pageso that people can join the
Prayer Freedom Facebook page andfrom there I'll be able to
communicate, as long as I havesomeone to manage the page.

Speaker 1 (46:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (46:04):
It's like okay, betty , we got some good questions
here.
Can you give a response?
And I can, you know.
So if someone is in the socialmedia world I'm not, I choose
just not to.
I don't even access it, but wewant to create that page and if
someone can, is passionate aboutthis, is a raving fan of
repentance and all of this, Iwould love for you to contact me
and there is a place in the app, if you want to help out, where

(46:28):
you can contact me.
But you'll see that once you gothrough the book.

Speaker 1 (46:31):
All right, yeah, if that sounds like something you
want to get involved in, you canalways message me on my website
,honestchristianconversationscom.
Leave me a message and I canalways pass it on to Beatty as
well.
So, yeah, thank you again.
So much, beatty, for coming on.
This has been an awesome andvery edifying conversation.

(46:53):
I know everyone's going to beedified.
They're going to be encouragedand hopefully study their Bible
in a whole new way.

Speaker 2 (47:01):
Well, thank you for having me on and I hope all you
guys that are listening aregreatly blessed, and please
share this episode with othersthat it can benefit.
