can't get out of bed, and I mean I was pretty high
functioning, so it's like Ican't get out of bed, then force
myself to go to work, put on aperformance at work, wear a mask
, like then disordered eating, then scrolling, taking
incontinent drinking, going tosleep and then just feeling
really paralyzed by like is thisall there is?

Welcome back to Honest Feedback.
We are so excited about today'stopic.
It's something we know verywell.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Anybody feel like you know you're just in a rut, or
like all the days are the sameor every day is groundhog day.
You're spinning your wheels.
Yes, yes, who's been there?
These hands?
Yeah, I had a couple of decadesof that.
Oh my gosh, just yeah, stuck inthe loop, hamster wheel Plugged
into the matrix.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Yes, some might say.
Yeah, it's a feeling I knowreally deeply.
I definitely was asleep for agood long time.
My teacher, dr Matt, who we hadrecently, talks about the Iago
trance, and it's this trance ofjust like waking up, going to
work, eating evening activities,go to bed and just being in

(02:28):
that loop and not knowing how tobreak that cycle.
And I was there for a long time.
I worked at Guitar Center Ithink I've talked about this
before Terrible company to workfor, and I was there for nine
years and I just kept findingmyself.
There was like mini promotions, like I went from the door to
this office but like nothingactually changed.
Yeah, things definitely gotworse at the company but yeah

(02:48):
just like over and over.
I'm like how the hell?
And then you feel like you'rejust gonna explode yeah, have
you been there?

Speaker 1 (02:55):
yeah, I mean I felt that way waitressing where it
was just like same shit, different the customers they
come in, blah, blah, blah.
Then we drank at happy hour, then we go home or went out, and
then same thing the next dayand then switch restaurants.
So now we're not quite sure howto get out of it, so I'm really

(03:17):
excited to talk about breakingthat cycle and getting out of
that rut.
But first I would love for youto meet our sponsor, lissette
King.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
Yeah, that's me this week.
I am sponsoring the podcast, and one of the things that is
really poignant about today'stopic is you either have an
action problem or a baggageproblem, and if you are finding
yourself having trouble takingthe action, it's not that you
don't know what to do, it's thatyou're not taking the action.

(03:59):
You have a baggage problem, andso I help people get to the
deepest root of the thing that'sblocking them from having their
truest desires, their deepestwants or deepest needs, and we
get to it.
We get to the thing that hasbeen blocking you so deeply that
when we unlock it, everythingchanges.

(04:19):
And I've have.
My clients are so just kickingass.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Yeah, they are.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
I am.
I first of all.
I kind of fall in love with allmy clients.
I think they're freakingmagnificent and I've got like
three in the pipeline right nowthat are just slaying.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
They're winning.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
They're happy, they're meeting new
relationships, they're killingit at work, they're just doing
all the things that, when theyfirst came to me, they just felt
very stuck in this rut, verysimilar to this caller, and if

It's a texter.
Okay, they texted.
All right, hand you thequestion.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Yes, the question phone.
It's a texter.
Okay, they texted, all right.
What do you do when you feellike life is stuck on repeat and
nothing is changing?
Every day feels like the samecycle Wake up, work, eat, doom
scroll, sleep, repeat.
I have all these dreams andthings I say I want to do, but I

(05:44):
can't seem to break out of thisrut.
How do you actually get unstuckwhen it feels like you're
living in quicksand Signed Stuck, he him Stuck.
Thank you so much for bringingthis to the light and bringing
this to the space, because youare not alone, my friend.
There are many, many people whoare in their house by

(06:07):
themselves, also stuck in thiscycle of I wake up, I go to work
, I eat one thing and then I'mdoom scrolling and then we go to
sleep yeah, I, you know the thedoom scrolling is a very
serious addiction yeah all allthe way, like I know this
feeling and I mentioned it alittle bit before but there's
definitely a calling inside, like the fact that you have

(06:30):
dreams placed inside of you.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Those are not put there in vain, like they are
meant for you, and my invitationis what happens when you start
to listen to those dreams inside?
I remember when I felt like Iwas stuck in the rat race and it
was the blessing of thepandemic, and I was sitting in

(06:53):
meditation.
I'm like fuck, I just knowthere's so much more to this and
the pandemic was such a giftbecause it was a disruption that
came from the outside that Idon't think I could have
disrupted from the inside.
And I was sitting in meditationand I got the clear message to
quit the rat race and go on ahoneymoon, yeah, and I could not

(07:17):
be more just blessed that Ifollowed that intuition because
I knew something had to give andif it truly did feel like death
, like that cycle of just going, and I just knew I did not love
what I was doing.
And can you sit with yourdreams?

(07:38):
you know, not just let them bewhat they are, but like write
them all out, like, like, whatwould I create if I didn't have
blockages?
What would I create if failurewasn't an option?
What would I do?
And let yourself, if limitsweren't there, what would I do?
Who would I be?

(07:58):
What would I create?
What would I have?
And let yourself just dreamunfiltered for a while, and
you'll see that even the dreamsyou think you have, they go so
much deeper.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
Yeah, it's so powerful when we allow ourselves
to tap into our dreams and itfeels like like Lissette shared,
like there was the outsidestimulus for her with the
pandemic, for us, I us with thepandemic and you, even writing
to us, is a light inside, beinglike hello, hello, hello, hello,
hello.

(08:31):
Like maybe like a little kid inyour house in your mind flipping
on the light switch, being like, hey, something needs to be
different.
And I believe our dreams aresacred, our desires are sacred
and they are put into our heartfrom a most divine letting us
know what is in store for us andletting us know what's on our
path and what's connected to ourpurpose.

(08:52):
So I would love to invite youto just start to even think
about your connection to yourpurpose.
What do you actually want to do?
What makes you happy?
What would light you up?
What would be just, what wouldtickle you to play with, to
create, to be, to enjoy, andallow yourself to start to allow

(09:17):
those dreams to get even biggerand maybe take an action step
towards those dreams, towardswhat you want to create.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Yeah, it's the slightest thing.
I discussed recently how I tooksome control over my physical
health.
And to circle back on the doomscrolling, tiktok was coming to
an end and I was going, goinggoing.
I was like ah must consume, tiktok was coming to an end and
I was going going go.

(09:46):
I was like ah must consume, andBrittany and I ordered a little
walking pad and the rule was nodoom scrolling unless you're on
the walking pad.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
I know, Although I think TikTok for me is more joy
scrolling but yeah, you're right, you're right, it was.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
And.
But the opportunity to tie theperson you're becoming to this
little habit that you don't love, you know, my invitation is
also what if you, instead ofdoom scrolling, like, take 30
minutes of that time that youwould just be doing nothing, go
like from seven to 730.
I'm going to journal, oh yes,I'm going to reflect on my day.

(10:22):
I'm going to write gratitude,I'm going to start setting my
sights not on what is, but theblessings that I have throughout
my day, the things that I'mcreating, just to get yourself
out of that rut, because, beingconstantly doom scrolling,
you're just taking in otherpeople's opinions.
Like I know, sometimes I'm in agreat mood and I'll just look

(10:43):
at something I'm like.
Well, I'm in a bad mood now youknow, or like I wasn't scared
about that before this.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
Yes, yes, yes yes, I feel like the root is a symptom,
and sometimes we think of it aslike oh, this is the problem,
but it's actually a symptom.
And I feel like the symptom, but it's actually a symptom.
And I feel like the symptom, like the root of it, is like not
being in alignment withyourself, with what you actually
desire, what you want.

(11:10):
And I know for myselfpersonally, when I was
experiencing like deep andchronic depression and like
depressive episodes, like it wasjust like, and your dreams are
letting you know what actuallyis an alignment.
And so it's this invitation, yet again, like what would light
you up, and I know you're he,him, but this is how I talk to

(11:32):
my clients in the pleasure pod.
It's like what would make yourpussy wet.
You know what gets you excited, what makes the juices flow
where you're like.
I must get out of this bed.
I must show up to this thing.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
I must, you know, and start to reflect and allow
yourself to play with that yeah,it's wild being on a fitness
journey and showing up every dayand I'm just like I remember
when I first started, I'm likegotta show up another day, gotta
show up another day.
And then all of a sudden, I waslike instantly in a better mood
.
Yeah, and I'm like whoa, likeyour got to show up another day,
got to show up another day.
And then all of a sudden I waslike instantly in a better mood
and I'm like whoa, like my bodycan create its own endorphins.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
I know.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
You know, and if you're feeling upset, like if
there's a conflict inside,something is needing your
attention.
Your dreams are like I'm dyingin this reality.
Please pay attention to me andstart to just bring a curiosity
to.
What is it?
What is it that your soul iscalling?

Speaker 1 (12:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
And lean into that, like even the tiniest step of
you know, I don't know why.
I'm just like what, if you wantto do woodworking, yeah, like
that lights you up and you'relike, okay, well, I want to do
woodworking, but uh, it takesaction, any action.
Just go to home depot, you knowlike, create something, buy
yourself some tools, anythingthat that is a tiny action, a

(12:58):
vote toward the person you'rebecoming, is is a break in the
pattern and we really need tointerrupt the pattern, the, the
trance that you're in, the, theyago trance that you're just
like you know, eat, walk, sleep,do them scroll, like.
Interrupt that pattern withanything and your soul will
start to light up I love to alsointerrupt the pattern with why.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
Ask yourself why?
Why do I work where I work?
Why do I do what I do?
Why am I going to these places?
Why am I hanging out with thesepeople?
If none of this is bringing mejoy, why am I doing it?
And it can be really easy to belike, well, I'm going to work
because I need money, yeah, butis that the only place you can
make money?
Is that the only way you canmake money?
There's so much in there.

(13:42):
So start even asking yourselfwhy am I making the choices that
I'm currently making?
If they don't feel good andthey're not in alignment, why am
I doing them?
When we start asking ourselveslike, why am I doing this?
I ask myself this in mybusiness.
Sometimes it's like, well, whyare you doing this?
Oh, someone else told me Ishould.
Does it bring me joy?
No, are the metrics hidden?

(14:03):
No, why am I doing it?
And then it's like it's so.
Then you're like, don't needthat, don't need this.
Maybe, like you should say,woodworking.
You know, people get paid toplay video games on the internet
.
It's a wild time to be alive.
It's a beautiful time to bealive.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
Anything, anything, anything.
You'd be surprised what you getpaid to do.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
Yes, and it's.
You get surprised by what youtuning into, what actually is
lighting you up and what yourdreams are.
I'll never forget.
I met a dear woman on set.
Her name is tabitha brown.
If you, uh, know the internetand food and vegan, you might
know her.
She's a fucking sensation, um,but she talked about how she was
just driving for uber and, likeyou know, she was feeling down.

(14:49):
She heard like a spirit tellher like hey, go vegan.
And all of her health problemsstarted to go away when she
switched to being vegan.
Now, this is her journey.
And she happened to be at WholeFoods and there was some kind of
like little vegan sandwich andshe ate half in her car in
between Uber shifts.
And she was like I'm going tojust go on live and talk about
this.
She went on live, did the restof her shift, woke up the next
morning and she was a viralsensation.

(15:10):
Whole Foods called her, got thesandwich, stocked nationwide it
is still one of their numberone sold out things and it
completely changed her life.
Now she's nominated for awards, she has TV shows, she has a line
at Target, it's all thesethings, but it's like all she
did was follow her dream of likeI want to be healthy.
And what she heard was like govegan, turn on your camera.

(15:31):
Like it can be as simple asjust that to be the switch that
completely transforms your life.
And we both have experiencedthat of like putting down what
doesn't serve, what other peoplesay you should do, or just
feeling like, oh, this is whatit means to be an adult, to be a
human, to play in the matrix, and it's like boo, leave it.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
Boo, we don't live by that.
The quitting the rat racedownload was so divine for me
and all the doors that it opened.
You know I'm an emotional ninja.
That is a title I've createdfor myself and it fucking works.
People come to me, people payme.
Wonderful, I am so blessed thatI get to help people let go of

(16:16):
the thing that's keeping themsmall, and they pay me
generously for it.
Because I fucking decidedthat's what I wanted to do,
because there was a light insideof me that said you can do
better.
And that's what you're tellingus right here.
You're telling us that there'ssomething, you have a dream and
you're stuck in a rut.
Great way to identify where youare you have to know where you

(16:39):
are, to know where you're going.
Good, you're stuck.
Let's go fucking put that carin a drive.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
And it could be with the tiniest thing.
Yeah, as they say, the best timeto plant a tree was 25 years
ago.
The next best time is today.
So we ask you, what issomething that you can do today?
Maybe it's scheduling a callwith Lisette and determining,
like, am I having a baggageproblem or am I having an action
problem, and how can I getsupport with that?
Maybe it's, you know, going topaint your mailbox or do

(17:07):
woodworking or something.
Maybe starting a new group, driving to a different
neighborhood after work andwandering around and hugging the
trees in a differentneighborhood.
Try it, it's very you.
It's very you, but allowingyourself to start to make the
shift.
You are the only one who canchange your life.
For you, we are here as guidesand lights on the path, and only

(17:30):
you can take the sacred actiontowards creating a better life
and, like I know, you can dothis.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
Yeah, Most people don't even know they're asleep.
I know it's a beautiful daywhen you wake up and like the
sim was on standby and you'relike wait a second.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
Wait a second.
Wait un minuto.
Yes, a beautiful day, mywake-up day, and you're just
like oh it's such a beautifulday when you go fuck.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
It doesn't have to be this way and it's beautiful
there is a really like this issuch a poignant question right
now because there is a massawakening happening oh yeah if
you, if you were on the tiktoks, like fuck man, people are
waking up, they're going.
It doesn't need to be like thismass awakening happening.
Oh yeah, if you, if you were onthe tick tocks, like fuck man,

(18:14):
people are waking up, they'regoing.
It doesn't need to be like this.
Uh huh.
There are people out there thatare not living like this.
Like holy shit, you can makemoney literally doing anything.
There are people like you.
There are people that are awake.
There are people that want tomake a difference in the world.
You're not alone.
It doesn't look like this foreveryone.
You just got to choose.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
Choose, choose, and we're here supporting you and
cheering you on and standing inthe light of.
We are people who have chosento have a miraculous and
incredible and extraordinarylife, and we're living that, and
you can too.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
Yeah, I love it.
We get so passionate about this.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
I know our favorite stuff.
Well, because it's I mean, I,this is, this is what I live by.
As a pleasure priestess, I, too, created my own title, but,
like, this is what I live by andit's been so powerful in my
life and to hold space forclients and remind them of their
truth, there is no higher honor.
There is no higher honor, andevery time, I'm humbled and just
so grateful to be able to servepeople in this way.

(19:16):
And yeah, it's, I mean, yeah,we're very fucking passionate
about it.
Like, life can be good, life isgood.
Life is good.
Life is good when you allowyourself to see how good it is.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
