blank here enough.

drugs.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
She was singing that
song.

It's like I'm so
Saved by the Bell, with Jessie
Spano, where she was likeaddicted to speed.
Oh my God, remember, and it'slike she was singing that song,
it's like I'm so excited.

Bless her, yeah,

She taught me the dangers ofexercise pills.
Well, we're going in a slightlydifferent direction, but it is a
very special episode because Ihad the honor and pleasure on

pleasure, about power, aboutascension, and I was like this
is what I want everybody to hear.
Can?

She resides in Portland, oregon, with Lissette and their
adorable pups, building a liferooted in love, pleasure and
purpose, and our topic issomething I adore talking about
(04:25):
Pleasure is the portal to yourpower.
So my first question to you istell me why you focus on
pleasure in your work withclients.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
Yes, absolutely.
I just want to say thank youfor the beautiful introduction.
That was wonderful, like, yes,I do do those things.
Yeah, and pleasure is a portalto your power and why I focus on
pleasure.
So, like you shared, I'm apleasure priestess and I have
learned from pleasure aspleasure being my teacher, and
(05:00):
that wasn't always my experienceand that wasn't always my
experience.
For a lot of life I felt reallydisconnected from my body.
I was a people pleaser, I liketo say.
I used to exist from like hereup, just from the eye bias up,
because that's where it feltsafe being smart, you know,
logical, all of these differentthings and I had myriad
experiences throughout mychildhood that led me to believe
(05:25):
that it was unsafe to be in mybody, that my pleasure was
dangerous, that it would attractpredators, and the list goes on
and on.
And so I was operating fromthat space for most of my life,
feeling disconnected, doing whateverybody else thought I should
do, feeling I was battlinganxiety and depression and
(05:46):
disordered eating and just somuch suffering, like literally
point blank suffering.
And it wasn't until I had quitethe energetic shaking from the
universe, with a series ofevents that really opened me up
to like.
This is my life, this is my oneprecious life.
(06:08):
Like I get the opportunity tochoose what I want my life to be
, and I decided I want to choosejoy.
Joy is what I wish to follow.
Joy is what I wish to embody tobe, and the way I found that
journey to joy was by followingmy pleasure.
And pleasure has stripped mebare of everything that I wasn't
(06:31):
and allowed me to lovingly andcompassionately explore and
discover all that I am, and so Ifeel so honored to be able to
shepherd and steward and holdthe space for others to find
this access point as well, wow.
Speaker 3 (06:49):
Yes, it is so
delicious and I think when we
step into that reality of lifebeing pleasurable, we get so
much feedback from the universethat it's like it's expanding
upon that right.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
Yes, absolutely,
absolutely.
It's so expansive and it's youknow what you seek, is seeking
you and where your attentiongoes.
Energy flows and like.
I know some of these thingssound cliche, but they're cliche
because they're true.
They're true, they're true.
And pleasure, in my experienceit's something that is so primal
(07:24):
.
It's in our lizard but it's inthe amygdala.
It's very primal and if we didnot have it, we would have
evolved past it.
If it wasn't necessary in orderfor us to survive, we would
have evolved past it.
And now we live in a world thatreally relegates pleasure to
either it's like it's only inthe bedroom, or this is
(07:44):
something you've got to earn,like it's a reward after you've,
like, worked hard enough orsuffered enough or insert blank
here enough.
And what I've experienced isthat pleasure is essential.
It is a nutrient, like water, and without it we will wither
and die.
And when you allow yourself, like if anyone's ever been
(08:05):
dehydrated and maybe you didn'teven notice you were running
around, you had a slightheadache, you're busy, blah,
blah, but then someone gives youwater and it's just like, oh,
it like quenches your thirst andyou just feel it and you're
just like, oh my gosh.
And you realize, oh my gosh,I've been so thirsty I can chug
this entire bottle.
It's that.
(08:25):
It opens that portal ofexpansion.
It opens that portal ofpossibility.
It opens that portal.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
That's perfect.
Yes, I feel like when we stepforward into that portal, it's
like the universe wants todeliver everything we expect,
and that is when we expectpleasure.
We get more of it that way, youknow.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
Couldn't agree more.
Couldn't agree yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
Well, you know, you
talk about power.
So what is the connectionbetween pleasure and power?
Speaker 1 (08:58):
Yeah, so,
specifically, a lot of my work
centers on the divine, feminineand a lot of these concepts we
both hold masculine and femininein part, so this is for
everyone and I'm going to usesome female-centric language.
So when we tap into ourpleasure, it allows us to tap
(09:21):
into a space of limitlesspossibilities, a space of
infinite creation.
If you look at the female form,we literally are a portal for
bringing life through from thebeyond into this frequency, into
this dimension.
Our wombs literally have thecodes, have the vortex,
(09:47):
literally have the codes, havethe vortex, have the toroidal
field of that limitlessness, ofthat transformation energy.
And so a lot of times we havebeen experiencing where it's
like oh, you know, you got totone down your sexuality, you
got to tone down your muchness, you got to turn down your, your
joie de vivre, you know of, ofyour life force, for energy of
women, and a lot of it rests inour sexual energy, that energy
(10:12):
of infinite creation.
It is a creation energy andwhen you remember that you have
the power to create, that iseverything.
That is everything.
Nothing can stop you.
When you remember I have thepower to create, please forgive
me, so excited of just, but whenwe tap into that energy of
(10:36):
creation.
That is our power.
That is our power.
And so sometimes we think of sexas, or have been taught that
sex is only for procreation, orsex is a gift for your partner,
or sex only belongs in this area.
And what I have learned is whenwe tap into that energy of
(10:57):
creation, that energy ofsexuality, it is not just about
giving birth to new humans.
That is a fantastic little win, great souvenir from the gift
shop, and we can create anything.
And when you know that you cancreate anything, that is power.
That is a power that isunshakable.
(11:20):
That is a power that climbs amountain.
That is a power that isunshakable.
That is a power that climbs amountain.
That is a power that changesthe world.
And so when, when I look at ourworlds and I think about, like,
even how I was raised, I grew upin like the nineties, and there
was just so many messages forwomen about make yourself
smaller, as small as possible, don't take up any space, we have
(11:40):
to fight each other becausethere can only be one.
All of these differentnarratives that really were
separating us from our power, telling us, hey, it's not okay
to be in your sexuality.
It's not okay to be in yoursensuality.
It's not okay for this to beout for the world.
Unless it's for the consumptionY, z people, then it's okay,
(12:03):
but it's not okay for you.
And so I have just felt thisdeep calling in my soul for all
of us to reclaim what is ours, because pleasure is our
birthright, and to reclaim ourpower and understanding.
Oh, my gosh, when I am tappedinto that frequency, into that,
I call it sacral chakra energy.
(12:24):
It holds sexuality, creativity.
It's no accident these thingsare together, because it is just
the energy of creation.
When we remember we create, weremember where our power is yeah
, oh my gosh, that's absolutelythe case.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
I get so like
exhausted by the or.
I feel like you know it's likethe world is entitled to our
energy.
It's like a sense of like andwe can get to that place where
we own our energy fully, fromthat sacral space especially,
and and also and I think youknow our knowing to like, being
(13:08):
able to own our knowing.
But that sense of like, aligning with what feels good,
is such a revolutionary idea.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
Yes, and it's.
It feels so simple, like if youtold a small child they're all
just doing what feels good.
They're like I want to lickthis ice cream.
This seems good.
I want to lay in these leaves.
That feels good.
Oh, it's a puddle, let's splash.
I liked it.
This was exciting.
I'm going to splash some more.
They are constantly living inthat vibration of this feels
(13:37):
good, this feels good, thisfeels good.
And following that, I mean it'sin our nature to seek pleasure
and avoid pain.
But somewhere along the way weget the messages, we get the
training, we get theconditioning of no, we should
actually do it the opposite way.
And it's really the opposite ofmother nature.
She is to me my OG teacher oflike how can I understand how
(13:58):
this universe works?
How can I understand how thisdimension works and this
frequency?
She is always finding the waythat brings her the most
pleasure.
I mean when I even think aboutsex, like if bringing new life
into this world was arduous anddifficult and not fun, and like
(14:19):
all of these other things, likewe just wouldn't do it.
But mother nature was like whydon't we make it very fun?
Why don't we make it almostaddictively fun, hedonistically
fun, like let's get into it,like that is, it's like wow,
that's how we tap into ourultimate creativity by having
the most fun, the most fun thatyou think you can possibly have,
(14:41):
and then let's add some more.
Speaker 3 (14:45):
I love it.
Yeah, yeah, you've got it.
I want to say you're likeyou're preaching from the pulpit
.
It's so amazing because Icouldn't agree more with you.
I get into this all the time.
I feel like, um, what mamaearth wants is for us to have
(15:06):
joy and pleasure.
That is like one of the in mywork when I channel from Gaia
like one of the five tenets ofearth her earth is one of them
is pleasure, yes.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
You know, yes.
And I, I, I, I so appreciate theacknowledgement and the
recognition and like for thosewho are in the conversation and
like they're like, yes, I feelit, and there was a time before
where, like this couldn't havebeen further from where my mind
and how I showed up was like wasworking corporate jobs with
(15:41):
uniforms and name tags and harshfluorescent lighting, and I was
constantly seeking from otherspermission to be myself.
Am I allowed to take up space?
Am I allowed to talk?
Am I allowed to be in thisspace?
Am I allowed to do this and amI allowed to do that?
And it was so dysregulating.
But it was also all that I knewand I wasn't seeing outside of
(16:04):
myself examples of other womenwho were owning their power,
owning their pleasure, owningtheir joy in this way that I
didn't see for male consumption.
I felt like the only place Isaw it was in the space where,
yes, you can have it if it's forthe service of the male gaze,
and it felt really, you know, just confusing, confusing and
(16:28):
stifling.
And you know I just foundmyself in a cycle of like
numbing and it was like food anddrinks and all the different
things, and so, if you'relistening to this conversation.
You're like this soundsexciting, but I just don't know
if I'm where they are.
Just know this is here for youtoo, because it was my if I can
(16:48):
just go a little bit into myawakening process, it was yeah,
it was.
I will give a trigger warningbecause that is part of it, but
I experienced a big T trauma, asexual assault that really shook
me, and it was in thatexperience.
I remember floating outside ofmy body because our unconscious
(17:11):
mind we're always trying to keepourselves safe and so if your
unconscious mind is like, hey, this is too traumatic, we're
just going to pop you outside.
And I just remember floatingoutside my body being like, well
, this is not good.
And I remember feeling moistureon my face and I was like why
is it wet?
And I remember just having thislike really like.
(17:31):
I'm like why is there water onmy face?
What is happening?
How could it be raining inside?
And then I realized, oh, I'mcrying.
I'm crying and my body istrying to tell me something is
wrong and get me back online andget me into a space where I can
get out of this situation.
And so in that situation I feltthis presence with me.
(17:54):
That was just like.
You can continue to live yourlife the way you are, and these
are the kinds of situationsyou're finding yourselves in,
and it's leading towards a paththat may not result with you
still being here, or you canchoose to live.
What do you choose?
Within a month, my mom gotdiagnosed with stage four cancer
(18:16):
and it was a rare form of lungcancer and in that experience
and I remember it was just sosudden she looked completely
healthy and I had never had anypsychedelic, really experiences.
But here I was, sober, as ajudge, sitting next to my mom,
and her lungs started to talk tome and they were beat and they
were like you have to chooselife, you have to choose joy.
(18:40):
What do you choose?
And those two events so closeto each other, with the exact
same message of it is yourchoice, it is your choice, you
get to choose.
What do you choose?
How do you want to be supportedwith that?
And I started making changes inmy life.
I started choosing joy.
Making changes in my life, Istarted choosing joy.
(19:04):
I found spaces and places andpeople where I felt safe enough
to explore what is my joy, whatis my pleasure, what does it
feel like to touch myself justfor my own pleasure, not for
someone else.
What does it feel like tochoose what kind of spaces I
want to spend my time in?
And you know, and it allowed meto have this huge metamorphosis
and spiritual awakening.
And all these gifts started toshow up when I decided pleasure
(19:30):
is part of my path and I get tochoose this and I'm going to
choose to follow my pleasure andsee where it takes me.
And I was so surprised anddelighted and tickled and all
the things where it's just likeoh, by the way, did you know
you're queer?
Like, let's just stop sleepingwith men right now.
Oh, by the night.
(19:52):
Did you know that you're awitchy and you have all these
intuitive gifts, like all ofthese huge things that are very
true and central to who I am andwhat I do.
And all these things all camefrom me choosing to listen to my
pleasure and choosing to followwhere the wind blew as far as
what lit me up and what turnedme on.
Speaker 3 (20:14):
Wow, what a story.
And I just have to always say, when people go through stuff
like that, my heart goes out toyou.
That is such a terribleexperience to have, so thank you
for being willing to bevulnerable and share that with
everyone.
And I, you know, I can'texpress how like that revelation
(20:36):
that you had is so profound, and it's lovely that you had
that spirit kind of coming inand lifting you into a new place
from such a dark place.
You know, and you are such a,you meet life with such power
(20:56):
already, so I'm sure that youwere just just expanding into,
like, even more of you in such ayou know, it's, it's
interesting how guided you were.
I love how you are so in touchwith yourself through that whole
thing, that whole, you know, you let it light you up and I
(21:17):
want to honor you for thatBecause it's just because it's
just a beautiful share.
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
Thank you, thank you.
Thank you for the reference andthe space to share and I share
because it's it can be easy tosee other people who seem
further on the path and it'slike, well, maybe they were born
like this, you know, maybethey've always had this, maybe
they always trusted themselvesor trusted their guides and all
(21:43):
these different things.
And I feel like, you know, Ilearned from a Hawaiian school
of ancient teachings, shamanism.
I guess you would call itenergy work, but they have this
saying and it's about a hulaplatform.
It's like we're all on the same, papa, we're all on the same
level, we're all in the sameplace, we're all having these
(22:04):
different experiences, but we'reall here together.
And so I share to remind us allthat, hey, we're all here
together.
Whatever your experience, whatever your path is, wherever
you are on, your path is perfectfor you in this moment, and
like to even see like we're allso supported.
Speaker 2 (22:22):
You know what?
Speaker 1 (22:22):
I mean, like I didn't
know, I had guides, I didn't
know, I didn't, I didn't know.
All of a sudden, it was justlike I felt it and it showed up,
you know.
And so just to let others of usknow, like, hey, what all the
goodness is here for all of us?
There's an infinite amount ofgoodness here for all of us and
no matter whatever you've beenthrough, whatever has been the
(22:43):
trial, the tribulation, theactivation, the opening for you,
like it's all been happeningfor you, and there's always more
goodness on the other side.
Speaker 3 (22:53):
Yeah, absolutely
there's.
Just like you say, there's aninfinite amount of goodness
available to us and we just haveto own it and and share it to.
You know, as part of thejourney is actually sharing.
Well, tell me a bit about howyou see pleasure expanding one's
consciousness.
I know that we've talked aboutthis, but I think that there's a
(23:15):
profound amount available to uswhen we step on this road, as
you've demonstrated in yourstory.
Speaker 1 (23:22):
Yes, pleasure
expanding our consciousness.
For me it's like being in aspace, in a space of infinite
possibilities, and pleasure isone of those frequencies that
(23:43):
allows us to journey past thelimits of what we thought was
possible, what we thought wewere capable of.
Um, I remember havingexperiences in sex that were
like these are fine, these are,it's fine, it's regular, it's
fine.
And then having experiencesthat were dripping in ecstasy,
(24:04):
where it was just like I feltmyself and I felt my
consciousness expand to receive,I felt myself let go of things
that were keeping me small inorder to experience even more
pleasure.
And it feels like one of thosethings like if you drop a stone
(24:25):
into a still lake and you seethe ripple effects and it just
keeps going on and on and on.
I feel like pleasure does thatto our consciousness.
You had the drop in and it justcontinues to let the ripple to
expand and it pushes you.
And it's one of those spaceswhere, when you allow yourself
(24:46):
to really just luxuriate, suckthe marrow out of every ounce of
pleasure available to you, youfind, oh, my gosh, there's a
little nook and cranny here.
Oh, and I want to linger here.
Oh, and this is possible thereand so, like our consciousness,
(25:08):
it goes on forever.
And to be in spaces where youcan be, in that vibration of oh,
this can go on forever.
It rewires our brain, itcreates new neural pathways, it
allows us to go well, if this ispossible, what else is possible
?
If I'm experiencing this here, what else could be true?
(25:31):
And I do sex as a very primalexample that I feel like a lot
of people can relate to.
But I've experienced this withmoney.
It's like oh, when I'm inpleasure with money and
abundance, oh, like the fruitthat shows up at my house, the
gardens.
I get to experience it, likethe things that happen in my
life, and I'm just like wow, wow, if this is where pleasure is
(25:56):
leading me, like I mean, and itjust keeps getting better and
better and better and pleasurehas been an expander for me in a
way where it has surprised anddelighted me.
From the universe, where theuniverse is like let me show you
how good this can get.
Like I know you said you wantedthis.
(26:16):
How about I upgrade you to that?
How does that feel?
And so when I think about thatexpandingness and consciousness,
it's that same thing.
The universe will be like hey, have you thought about this in
this way?
Let's go over there.
What about that way?
What if we break the soundbarrier?
What if we're not the onlypeople in this galaxy?
(26:36):
What if we're all one?
What if you remembered thatwe're all one?
What if you remembered youcould see energy?
What if you remembered you arein control of your own reality?
What if you remembered this isall an illusion and designed for
you to have the most fun with.
So why don't you play Like yousee?
Speaker 3 (27:03):
Yes, oh, oh my gosh.
Yes, that is exactly right.
I think that when we are inthat um play place, uh, which is
another tenant of earth, that aguy is channeled, so it's I
channel it from gaia.
Um, when we're in that playzone and and we're tree life,
light, a playground, it's, it'sgonna create the.
(27:25):
It'll help us manifest moreenjoyment all the time, you know
, and we have to kind of invitethat in and lean into it and
gracefully if my guys are sayinggracefully, except you get to
have fun, you know, you kind ofresist.
Speaker 1 (27:43):
You get to have fun
and it's like, oh, if, if
everything's a game, likesometimes.
You know we're all adults andit's so serious, you know.
Speaker 2 (27:53):
I'm healing, you know
we're, we're all adults and
it's so serious.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
you know I'm healing.
It's serious, you know.
Or what if we blow some bubbles?
You know I've had just as manypowerful healings through
something that quote unquote washard as I had through a
laughing fit.
I I sat in medicine.
Um, I had to sit withgrandmother ayahuasca and it was
my very first sit and I wasexperiencing.
My intention was to understandwhy I was special and I was like
(28:20):
you know, and I had beenwrestling with something,
something had showed up in myrelationship.
I was feeling jealous, allthese things and really the
wound that was coming up was whyam I special?
Why do I matter?
And everyone is sitting ontheir little mats.
The ceremony starts.
You know, people are startingto release, they're starting to
purge through vomit.
Speaker 2 (28:39):
And.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
I'm, my stuff is all
kicked up and I'm like I'm not
purging, like am I going to getmy money's worth?
You know, story, story, story.
And I come back to my intention.
I was like, wait, you wanted toknow why you're special.
You wanted to know why you'respecial.
I'm like everybody else isdoing something.
I was like how do you choose torelease?
Sitting up for eight hours Ijust had spontaneous orgasms and
(29:04):
laughter fits for hours, likehours in a master plant ceremony
.
Other people are over a bucketand I am rolling on a sheepskin
floor like no hands in myunderwear, just literally
feeling the ecstasy of the wavescome through me and I let go of
so much trauma and so muchsadness and so much fear.
(29:26):
I let go of really dense, heavythings through pleasure,
through fun, through laughing, through being in the beauty.
I got to witness my own soulbeing born.
It was so profound and so itwas just like, what if it
doesn't have to be hard?
What if pleasure is yourbirthright and you get to have
as much fun as possible?
I am a firm believer the morefun I'm having, the more money
(29:48):
I'm making, the more life I'mdoing Like it's just.
We get to choose.
That it's just.
Do you want to play Like theuniverse is, like we're here?
Jump in anytime.
Water's great.
Speaker 3 (30:01):

I would normally ask you for aclosing statement, but I want to
say that was the perfectclosing.

your domain of pleasure and play.

I feel the earth, I feel thevibration and I feel so many of
our souls just wanting to belike are we sure it's okay?
And the more of us that we see,the more permission that we
give to each other, that weremind ourselves lives within us
, the more we're just out thereplaying yes, so true, and I I
know that you have opened aportal for everyone to step into
(31:15):
that from here.
Speaker 3 (31:16):

power.

meditation for you to tune intopleasure, because pleasure is
happening in all moments, it'salways available.
(31:46):

.
