Lyn Ulbricht is the mother of Ross Ulbricht, who created the marketplace website Silk Road in 2011. In 2015, Ross—a first-time, nonviolent offender— was sentenced to a double life sentence plus 40 years without the possibility of parole for offenses related to his operation of Silk Road. Since Ross’ arrest, Lyn has worked to bring to light the corruption and injustice surrounding Ross’ trial and conviction.
