Garet would begin running with the wrong crowd, experimenting with different substances and eventually dropping out of School. He would become a full blown meth and heroin addict. Sometimes taking his young daughter with him to score or deal. After stints in jail and prison as well as a couple treatment facilities. Garet transformed his life, had a spiritual awakening that has led him to long term sobriety, a thriving member of society, grounded in the program of AA. A single father who is present with his children while serving others. Garet and I discuss the following: What was the moment of clarity that led to long term sobriety? What kind of work have you had to do with your daughter to repair your relationship and how do you help her with understanding addiction? Why is moving your mind, body and spirit as well as being of service to others vital to your recovery?
