Welcome Angela Adkins to theshow.
I am excited to have her heretoday.

(01:00):
We actually got connectedthrough our mutual friend, cindy
Nicholson, and when we chattedfor the first time I knew I
wanted to have her on here toshare more about what she does.
As you guys know, this is thesecond season of Launching
Pioneers and I definitely seeher as a pioneer in the work

(01:21):
that she's doing to help set thecaptives free.
So, angela, would you be opento telling us a little bit more
about yourself before we getstarted?

Speaker 3 (01:30):
Absolutely.
Thank you so much for having me, kristen, and I feel the same
way about you.
The minute I met you, I justloved the way that you flowed
with this Holy Spirit and madeeveryone feel welcome and I just
, I really enjoy who you are.
Yes, you too.
So a little about me.

(01:52):
I am married.
I've been married for 22 years.
I have six wonderful from theages of 8 to 21.
And so that keeps me busy.
I'm also I've been in ministryfor over 20 years as well.

(02:13):
All kinds of ministry churchplanting, youth ministry.
The thing that really caught me,though, and just caught my
passion and, I guess, reallytransformed my personal life as
well, was when I got intohealing the heart, and so right

(02:40):
now what I do is heart healing, coaching, and it's a little hard
sometimes to define everythingthat I do.
I'm an equipper.
I love to train people, andsometimes that can be a good
thing or a bad thing.
My family can get a littletired of the training side of my
personality, but the Lord hasdone a work in me, in embracing

(03:05):
that.
He has made me a teacher.
I actually really resisted thetraining side of things for a
long time, mainly because I'veseen sometimes where teachers
just kind of take the life outof a room, if that makes sense,
and I didn't want to be thatperson.
And finally the Lord just spoketo me and said you know, you

(03:32):
are you, you have a gift ofteaching and you're despising
the gift I've given you.
And, um, I just I repented andI just remember being in tears
because my husband kept tellingme, like you, you are a good
teacher.
And when I tell you that, likeyou look at it as a negative,
but I'm not speaking it as anegative and it made me realize
I needed to ask God what was upwith that.
So, anyway, what was up withthat?

(03:53):
Well, so what was up with itwas I just had some poor
experiences as a, I guess as achild, as a teenager, where I
saw a lot of people who wouldconsider themselves to be good
teachers and we're talkingmostly in the church here like

(04:15):
good teachers of the word, but Iwouldn't see any movement of
the Holy Spirit and in fact, Iwould see a quenching of the
Holy Spirit.
And when I was about 15, I guessthis is do you want me to jump
into my testimony a little?
I can share a little, yeah,would you?
Yeah, so when I I had a prettypivotal moment in my life when I

(04:39):
was around 14, I had I have asister, 14.
I have a sister, but she is nowwith the Lord, and she was 11
years old when I believe I was15 when she passed away and she
had bone cancer and we reallyprayed for her healing.

(05:00):
Even back then I was a believer, we were a believing family.
Even back then I was a believer, we were a believing family.
So I had an interestingexperience with the Lord right
before we found out that she wassick.
The summer before we found outthat she was sick, and I really
had not given my life to theLord.
I was resisting the idea of Himbeing in control of my life.

(05:23):
I believed in God, I believedin Jesus, but I really did not
want to surrender and so I wentaway to a youth camp and they
had us, of all things, go spendtime with the.

(05:46):
I still remember it to this dayand I just was like Lord, you
know, this is pretty stupid,because I don't have a
relationship with you and Idon't really want to waste your
time and I'm not sure you wantto waste mine.
So like do you?
want anything from me.

(06:07):
I'm 14, you know, and I'm justkind of like I know I'm not
surrendered, I know I don'treally have like.
This is kind of a dumb activity.
You know why am I sitting herepretending to talk to God, right
, and then all of a sudden?
I guess because I gave thiswindow of opportunity to the
Lord, and also sometimes we justdon't understand the timing of

(06:27):
the word.
But he understands it Right.
So he had me, I believe he setme up for such a time as that,
right On that moment, on thatHill, and he spoke to my heart
and it was, I think, the secondtime in my life that I had heard
.
It was a whisper in my heart,it wasn't audible, but it was

(06:52):
very, very clear that it was theLord speaking to me.
He said to me if you turn awayfrom me today, you will turn
away from me the rest of yourlife.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
Yeah, that sobered me like big time because I knew
that I was, I was beingresistant to the Lord, but it
wasn't that I didn't believe inhim.
You know what I mean.
And so that day, when I heardthat, it was like the fear of
the Lord came over my life and Ijust I said, lord, I surrender,

(07:19):
I surrender, I surrender to you, I don't want to walk away from
you the rest of my life.
And you know he knows our heartright and he knew that my heart
didn't want to walk away fromhim.
And looking back, like themoment I have to say this the
moment I accepted Christ likethat and I surrendered to his

(07:39):
Lordship, I was filled with joy.
I was filled with joy.
It was nothing like the religionthat I had grown up in.
It was nothing like justbecause I had spent my whole
life doing the right things.
In fact, when I went back to myyouth group and said I gave my
life to Christ and I want to getbaptized, they all looked at me

(07:59):
and said you're the bestChristian out of all of us.
Like why would you want to?
Like haven't you baptizedalready?
And I'm like no, you don'tunderstand.
Like I met God for real.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Like this my life changed.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
And I never wanted to be baptized before then and I
immediately wanted to bebaptized afterwards.
And so there was just a hugeshift in my life, in receiving
Christ and making him Lord.
And I think sometimes we missthat aspect where it says
confess with your mouth thatJesus is Lord and believe, you

(08:32):
know, believe with your heartthat he was raised from the dead
.
And it's like we're, we're likewell, just pray the prayer, and
really it's.
It's more than a prayer, it's ayou're the, I want you to be
the Lord of my life.
You came, you rescued me, yousaved me, you delivered me.
The word salvation is actuallysozo and it means saved, healed

(08:54):
and delivered, and that's,that's everything he did for us.
But there is this element of usmaking him Lord, and so I've
had a huge shift at that momentelement of us making him Lord,
and so I've had a huge shift atthat moment.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
Well, and that's incredible to be 14.
I mean, I have a completelydifferent story of being, you
know, saved from addiction at 25, not growing up in the church.
So I can imagine being 14, like.
What did it look like in?
Like at school?
Were you going to school?
Were you homeschooled?
What did that look like to be ateenager who was like I am
following the Lord, like let'sgo.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
So I was homeschooled actually at that point, and
fairly protected in a lot ofways.
A lot of ways, I think.
For me it became a joy in mylife.
And then back to back, to likewhat I was saying about my
sister.
And what happened?
That happened, you know, thenext year, and I looked back and

(09:58):
realized like the Lord wasn'tjoking.
If I did not have that personalrelationship with Jesus and all
I had was religion, I wouldhave walked away from God for
the rest of my life after thepain I went through of losing my
sister.
But because I knew Christ, Iwas able to experience joy.
Through the whole process, Iwas able to see that she had a

(10:22):
personal relationship with theLord and the Lord prepared her
heart for everything that washappening.
And here we prayed for herhealing.
And I work now in healingministry.
I work in freedom anddeliverance, I work in helping
people to experience all thereis with God, and I expect
miracles all the time.
But we did not see a miracleand so I had to, you know, walk

(10:48):
through that experience of loss.
And in that I just know thatGod's timing is perfect, because
I had the Lord with me and Iwasn't alone you know, walking
through that pain and that loss.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
I can't even imagine.
I mean, I haven't walkedthrough that with a sibling.
I've walked through with youknow my father passed away about
eight years ago and to be young, like a teenager, I can't
imagine not having you knowChrist in my life at that time.
You know I was, I walkedthrough it being a believer when

(11:28):
my dad passed away but I can'timagine not having the Lord with
you through that pain, rightFor sure.
And you know, just in our worldin general, like I can't
imagine walking through thislife, like how I used to live,
right To not have to.
Just, you know, there's just somany things that we can

(11:49):
encounter in this life that canhave you to question, and even
as believers too.
One of the things I wanted tokind of dig into, if you're able
to do this with me and go here,I think for some people and
I've even experienced this attimes too is just kind of
questioning like, okay, you saywe can be healed and you know,

(12:11):
like with your sister, thatreally challenging walking
through seeing somebody nothealed.
And I'm thinking of somebodymaybe listening today that you
know they were really believingfor somebody to be healed and
they were like, well, why didn'tGod save my family member?

(12:33):
Why didn't he heal this person?
Is that something that you'd beopen to kind of going deeper on
?

Speaker 3 (12:45):
I mean, it's a big topic and definitely something
that I've had to come to like aconnecting point in where my
experience doesn't necessarilythe Bible isn't defined by my
experience, and so I havelearned to take my experience

(13:13):
and filter it through what theword of God says, versus
filtering the word of Godthrough my experience if that
makes sense.
And so for me, a lot of timesI've walked through some of
these places of pain and, umquestion god, question why, why
is this happening?
But then I'll also processthrough with the lord.

(13:34):
You know what the root causeswere in some of these situations
, and sometimes there's not aroot cause, sometimes the lord
just knows what's not a rootcause, sometimes the Lord just
knows what's best and we don'tsee the big picture and we can't
fully understand it.
And with my sister, you knowI'm sure there were a lot of
other elements involved.

(13:55):
But he did assure me 10 yearslater, actually spoke to me and
and just had me have my husband.
He asked me to have my husbandwatch my children and said I'm
going to answer a questionthat's been on your heart for a
long time.
And he told me that it was inhis mercy that he took my sister
, and I don't understand all ofthe pieces behind it.

(14:18):
You know.
I do know that she had her armamputated in the process and she
had lost her hair and therewere a lot of things that
happened, but he reassured methat it was his mercy, and so
what I have learned is that, nomatter what, god is good and his
mercy always triumphs over justjudgment, and so even in the

(14:41):
places where we don't understandand we don't comprehend, we can
know that he is good.
And that's something that Ihave seen over and over and over
again in my life, even whenthings have not gone my way, and
sometimes even when I feel thatthe Lord has given me a word
for someone to be healed, andthen I didn't experience what I

(15:04):
thought I would see.
And in that, even knowing thatGod is good and sometimes
bringing he brings me a deeperrevelation that I'm then able to
use for freedom for people, forhealing for people.
I have seen a lot of people getphysical healing.
I've seen a lot of peoplereceive emotional healing.
I've seen a lot of peoplereceive emotional healing that

(15:25):
then brings physical healing.
I've seen some people get freefrom demons that were actually
causing infirmity and affliction, and there's some scenarios
where, younger in my Christianwalk, I didn't even understand
that we can be afflicted bydemons, and I believe some of
the situations that I saw thatwere not necessarily where

(15:46):
healing didn't actually happenthe way I had hoped it would and
believed that it would.
I believe some of thosesituations actually had demonic
afflictions that I at that pointwas not equipped to take you
know, to take through, and sosometimes we lose a family
member before it's time I feellike you know.
I mean, I know the Lord issovereign and, like I said, it's

(16:08):
a huge topic.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
It is.

Speaker 3 (16:11):
But even in the sovereignty of the Lord, knowing
his character is so importantbecause one of the things I
teach in my mentorship so I havea mentorship that's from trauma
to triumph.
I feel like I'm going rabbittrailing all over because we
never went beautiful either.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
Yes, it's good.

Speaker 3 (16:31):
But, but it's.
It's the whole trauma totriumph, mentorship that I run.
It's like one of the thingsthat I want to equip people in
is feel like I'm losing my trackhere.
What was?
What?
Were we talking about?
The healing?

Speaker 2 (16:49):
Yeah, like kind of questioning maybe, why somebody
didn't receive healing right.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
Oh yeah, and so, with the character of God, one of
the first things that I train onis that, you know, in the
beginning, when there was thatGarden of Eden that God created,
I mean God created thisbeautiful place for us to
flourish, for Adam and Eve tocome in flourish and walk with
God hand in hand and be inrelationship, and there was no

(17:17):
pain.
And so I think sometimes welike we, end up blaming God for
pain, when he never wanted us tobe in a place where we were
experiencing pain to start withRight.
And so I think that's a hugepart of the revelation of who
God is for us to understand, like it's the enemy that wants

(17:39):
to kill.
Yes.
The enemy wants to destroy.
The enemy, you know, wants tobring sickness into our life.
And yes, can God use sicknessand bring glory out of any
situation, trials, you know.
It says he turns all things forgood to those that love him.
But I would never say like it'sGod's desire for us in a place

(18:03):
of sickness or, you know, toexperience cancer, which is what
my sister had.
So it's it's like elevatingthat, um, what I believe, to
what the word says.
And it says in the Bible thatJesus healed all kinds of
sicknesses and diseases.
So I'll often go to the fatherand say, father um, why?

(18:25):
Why, you know, how do I get tothe place where I see all
sicknesses and all diseasesvanish in front of me?
You know, because I believethat's possible, I believe in
miracles, I've seen a lot ofthem, but sometimes we walk
through hard things and reallythat is a test of our faith.

(18:49):
You know, are we going to loseour faith in who God is and the
character of God in the middleof the difficult situation, or
are we going to triumph?
And the Bible says that wealways triumph through Christ.
And one of the things he's beenspeaking to me recently is you

(19:10):
cannot overcome if there'snothing to overcome.
Yes, right, you can't triumphif there's not something to
triumph over, right.
And so, because we have painthat entered in through sin, and
this world is full of sin andSatan is the ruler of this world
for a season, there's a lot ofthings that don't make sense.

(19:31):
There's a lot of pain, there'sa lot of heartache, there's a
lot of things, but God, in hisgrace and his mercy, is rescuing
us from those things throughChrist, and that's the good news
, and you know how many peopleneed to hear that.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
Yes, well, and that's part of why you know I often
will be, you know, as I'mlistening to guests that come on
kind of, you know, thinkinglike what might somebody be
thinking and wondering about inthis area?
Right, and healing is a bigtopic, like that could be a
whole podcast.
I could have you back anothertime and we could go deeper on
that if you're led to.
But I would love to hear ofmaybe a testimonial that you've

(20:11):
seen a miracle happen in healing.
I don't know if you don't haveto share names or anything, but
to give people like that hope, because maybe they've never seen
a miracle before, maybe they'venever seen, you know, something
like that happen.
Right, would you be open tosharing maybe something that
you've seen in your time inministry?

Speaker 3 (20:32):
Yeah, yes, for sure.
Now it's interesting because, yes, for sure.
Now it's interesting becauseimmediately I'm like going
through the Rolodex in my mindof like stories you know, like
Lord, what story.
And it's so interesting becauseimmediately the stories that
come to my mind typically when Isee physical healing happen,
it's because deliverance happens.

(20:53):
Now my husband-.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
Deliverance first.
Deliverance comes first.
Happens Now my husband-.

Speaker 3 (20:57):
Deliverance comes first, deliverance happens and
then I see healing.
I do a lot of emotional healing.
My husband works in physicalhealing a lot more.
So I do believe there's likethe gifts of the Holy Spirit.
They we all can walk in them atany time the Lord wants us to.
But there are certain giftsthat I've seen like they're very

(21:19):
active in my life and otherones that are active in other
people's life, and so I've seena lot more physical healing with
my husband's ministry, becausehe'll like pray over people and
just see physical happen, justby praying or speaking healing
over the person.
But in my ministry typically theLord will begin to heal the

(21:42):
heart and then we will end uptaking authority over something
or someone will forgive, becauseforgiveness opens a door for
torment from the enemy.
So here's a couple of storiesEarlier in ministry, and I've
seen this all along.
But I will never forget thisone time when a lady came up and

(22:04):
she wanted prayer for healingover her arthritis and I began
to ask the Lord as we talkedabout earlier Kristen, the
importance of being able to hearGod's voice and knowing the
Holy Spirit.
That's a whole nother story, probably for a whole nother time
, of how they received the HolySpirit as well.

(22:26):
But that radically changed me,realizing I could have a
personal relationship with Godand he would speak with me and
want me to know things and notjust what the word of God says.
I mean obviously in agreementwith the word of.
God, but that he can speak intoour individual situations.

(22:47):
So I had learned to lean on him.
To kind of tune into the flowof the Holy Spirit would be the
best way I could explain it.
And it just popped into my my,my heart, my mind, that little
whisper again ask her if there'sanyone she needs to forgive.
And so that's what I did.

(23:08):
I said, you know, before I prayfor your healing, I just feel
like the Holy Spirit wants me toask you is there anyone that
you need to forgive?
And before it even popped outof my mouth, she was like yes,
she knew immediately who sheneeded to forgive.
I didn't have to like make hermentally do acrobats to think

(23:28):
about it, she just knew therewas somebody there.
So I said, let's, can we justpray a prayer and I'll lead you
through it of forgiveness.
And I had her choose to forgivethis person and release the
person.
And as I was opening my eyes tojust kind of check to see you
know like where's she at in theprocess, and I was preparing to

(23:49):
pray for healing, Then her eyespopped out of her head and she
goes my pain is gone, and herhands like the arthritis kind of
left as she spoke forgiveness, and that was a really amazing
miracle to me, as she reallyclosed the door to some of the

(24:11):
bitterness.
And we don't realize how muchbitterness and unforgiveness
play a role in health issues.

Speaker 2 (24:19):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 3 (24:20):
It's, you know, rheumatoid arthritis.
I'm not saying all rheumatoidarthritis is from bitterness and
unforgiveness, but I am saying,if you have it, do a check with
the Lord and see if there's anyunforgiveness or bitter roots
in your life, because they cancontaminate and cause that kind
of thing to be worse in ourbodies Heart issues.

(24:42):
We just recently here's anotherstory we just recently had a 12
week mentorship called Unboundthat eight women came in and
were a part of, and I did thiswith some other coaches.
But there was one session whereI don't even think I realized
that I had a word from the Lord, because I just kind of start

(25:05):
flowing and sharing what's, youknow, like I was, I was teaching
and I was training and I wassharing the word the Lord had
given me and then, just out ofleft field I guess, I I heard
something about a heart and Isaid I believe I was talking
about trauma and uh, we were, you know, taking authority over

(25:26):
any spirit of trauma, but thenall of a sudden it just hit my
heart.
I think somebody's heart isbeing healed.
Now I don't even know if I knewwhether that was emotional or
physical.
I was just being obedient andsaying like somebody's heart is
being healed in this moment.
Later, one of the ladies cameup to us and let us know that
her heart physical heartactually got healed.

(25:48):
Oh amen.
That was amazing, like it was myexpectation.
I don't even think I wasthinking of a physical said it,
I was just being obedient.
And then God, god, did it right.
It's not my business is calledthe light and the glory.
And yes, say it again, say itagain what's the light and?

Speaker 2 (26:06):
the glory, isn't that beautiful.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
And it's a reminder that I'm shining the light of
Christ, but he gets the glory.

Speaker 2 (26:14):
Amen, yes, and I'm.
I'm guessing he gave you thatname.

Speaker 3 (26:19):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
Yeah, that's.
I want to just throw in, like,if you guys have a business and
you're wanting to know what thename of your business should be,
ask him, basically ask him foranything.
But I just wanted to put throwthat in there.
It's always the best to havehim name your things.

Speaker 3 (26:35):
I mean, I can't imagine life without him your
things.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
I mean, I can't imagine life without him.
Yeah, Well, I love how you, youknow, shared these testimonies,
but I want to kind of go back alittle bit, because a big part
of you know who you are and whatyou're called to help people
with is hearing God.
I know I've had, you know, I'verun across people in my walk
like, well, how do you hear God?
And like, how do you hear himso much?

(27:03):
And like, what do you?
I would love for you to kind ofgo deeper on that, because I
know my ears and my eyes opened.
You know, I've been a believersince I was 25 and I wouldn't
say it was till about 2017,which was eight years ago that I
heard that still small voice.
Like my whole world opened up,Um, and I hear him, I see him
differently than others do it,and I I would love for you to go

(27:24):
deeper on that, because, um,yeah, Would you go deeper on
that?
I'll stop talking about mystory.

Speaker 3 (27:30):
I love your story too , yeah, and I love that you.
You know that you saw a shiftwhen you that you could hear his
voice and that you learned howto connect, which is probably a
story all on its own of how youlive.
I think for me it happenedincrementally.

(27:51):
I received the Holy Spirit soonafter my sister passed away.
Received the Holy Spirit soonafter my sister passed away.
Now, when I say that, languagecan get a little sticky, because
we do have the Holy.
Spirit as salvation but therewas a level of of being filled
with the Holy Spirit and andbeing connected that I did not

(28:12):
have through salvation, that Istill needed to experience.
There's a.
There's a more that.
God wants us to give to us, andit and it's not like it, it's a
one-time thing, it happens once.
But then in the Bible says bebeing continually filled with
the Holy spirit, and I thinkthat's a huge key factor in
being able to hear his voice isis being able to have a

(28:35):
relationship with the Holyspirit, also having relationship
with Jesus, with the HeavenlyFather.
We're supposed to be able to beconnected to the Godhead
through what Jesus did on thecross.
And then he said I'm not goingto leave you lonely when I go to
be with the Father to prepare aplace.

(28:55):
I'm not going to leave youalone, I'm going to send you the
Holy Spirit.
And so understanding andreceiving the Holy Spirit was,
um.
The Holy Spirit's help andcomfort and voice and guidance
was a huge part of that.
But then, a little older, umlater in life, when I was a
little bit older, in my 20s, myhusband and I we went through

(29:21):
some ministry training and oneof the courses that we took was
about hearing God's voice, andthat really changed our lives.
And I think what shifted therefor me was realizing I could
listen to God anytime I wantedand he would speak to me.
Now he doesn't always speak onour timetable about everything,

(29:42):
but he never turns us away Likehe's a river that is always
flowing and realizing that, likethe river that's flowing from
the, you know the spirit of God.
It talks about that inscriptures.
I don't have those scripturesright in front of me, but the
rivers of living water that flowout of our bellies.
There's just a lot of differentrelevant places where it talks

(30:03):
about the Holy Spirit flowinglike water or like wind.
And so we learned this wholeprocess and I would say, the key
factor, this is something thatI coach in, I train in in almost
everything I do.
I was just even telling youearlier like I feel, like I

(30:24):
can't train on anything elsewithout this foundation, like I
just think hearing God's voiceis a foundation to being free,
to being healed, to beingreleased into your purpose, to
figuring out your business nameto training up and raising your
children.
I wouldn't want, I wouldn't wantany of that without being able

(30:45):
to connect with the voice of theLord.
And so what shifted for me andthis is what I'll I'll leave
with you, because beyond that, you know, I obviously I can
train on that.
I don't want to do that, butfor me it was knowing I could
listen and I would spend a lotof time journaling, telling the
Lord about my day and sometimeshe would speak to me.

(31:07):
I mean, I had experienced thathere and there, right, but I
didn't make a habit of Lord.
What do you want to say to metoday?
of Lord what do you want to sayto me today?
What do you want to show me?
Who do you say I am?
And I begin to make a habit ofwriting a question in my journal

(31:29):
and then waiting till I heardan answer or saw a vision.
And he loves to speak invisions and dreams.
There's so many.
I mean, this topic is isamazing in the Bible, how many
ways that he speaks to us nature.
You know all of it.
Um, so I don't know.
I don't know if that fullyanswered your question, but for
me that's where the shift camein was realizing I could listen

(31:52):
and his sheep know his voice, and it's really learning.
What does that voice sound like?
You know?

Speaker 2 (32:00):
yes, and especially in this time too, like we have
to be, we have to really hearhis voice above all the other
voices in this world, because itis noisy out there, wouldn't
you say?

Speaker 3 (32:12):
sure, sure, it's so easy to get distracted, derailed
, discouraged, yeah.
And knowing him is really thewhole thing that keeps us
stabilized.

Speaker 2 (32:26):
Yes, absolutely.
So you said that you have a um,a training coming up.

Speaker 3 (32:33):
So I do.
I have a couple of thingscoming up Um, one will be in
July.
I'll be doing my Trauma toTriumph mentorship, and that is
a six month.
That's my largest mentorshipthat I do.
It's a six month intensive thattakes you through heart healing
.
It takes you through freedom.
Actually, I equip everyone onhearing God's voice and

(32:56):
connecting to God, being seatedin heavenly places.
So many different topics, butthe whole goal is intimacy with
Christ and that we become whole, and not just that we become
whole, but that we are able tolearn these tools that are all
throughout scripture and be ableto utilize them in bringing

(33:17):
wholeness to others as well.
And so that's that's themission of um, that mentorship,
and it starts in July and goesfor six months.
It's a group coaching alongsideof equipping and training track
Um I I love doing that and ifanybody is interested they can
definitely reach out to me.
Angelaadkinscom is my websiteand I'll be having more things

(33:40):
posted up there as it getscloser.
The second thing that I knowthat I'm going to be releasing
probably mid-August I don't havean exact date for it yet but
I'm going to be doing a trainingon casting out demons.
And this is a first-time thingfor me.
I've been working in bringingfreedom to people for a very

(34:01):
long time and I've been gettingmy own training from a lot of
different ministries and peoplethat I respect because I've been
wanting to grow in that, butthe Lord has really released me
to begin to train on that.
I want to have some Q and A'salongside of that.
And.
I know it's going to bring morefreedom to people, but also just

(34:22):
equipping people in being moreconfident in their authority to
bring freedom when it's neededand to know how, like how and
when that is and what it lookslike.

Speaker 2 (34:33):
Yes, oh, that's so.
It's so needed.
I mean, there's so many.
Um, yeah, I know that in ourtime there's going to be more
opportunities where, likepersonally, I feel like I do a
measure of deliverance, but it'snot like casting out demons.

(34:54):
I don't know enough to know howto cast out demons per se, like
I wouldn't say I'm trained upin it, but I am trained through
Holy Spirit how to bringdeliverance and unlock people.
So I think we all have adifferent measure of bringing,
like freedom to people.
And I remember and this might Idon't know if this is going to

(35:16):
make sense, but I live in a veryinteresting place and I thought
, like I wanted to just teardown everything here and I'm
like the Lord is showing me likethis is not your lane right now
, like this is not you don'tknow enough to be able to try to
, like you know, tear down theterritorial spirits here, and

(35:38):
you know what I'm saying Like soI think it's really pivotal and
like we need something.

Speaker 3 (35:44):
That's a different topic.
I think it's really pivotal andlike we need something we do.
We do need to be very carefulthat we're walking in the
authority that God has given tous and the realm that God's
given to us as well, and Ihighly recommend you know
working on our own personalhearts and our spheres before we
try to do anything regional.

Speaker 2 (36:06):
There's.
There's a big key Right and Ithink and the beauty is that,
like you know, I have stuff thatI'm still working on too Right,
I went through a ton of traumagrowing up and there's no shame
like any listeners out there, like if you're still walking
through things, that doesn'tdisqualify you from you know

(36:26):
stepping out and doing what Godcalled you to do.
I mean, would you say thatyourself, Like you're still
walking out?
You know your own freedom.

Speaker 3 (36:35):
It's a continuum right, a level of bloodline
freedom, like like through mybloodline deliverance, that I
didn't even realize I needed,but it was.
It was causing some unnecessarywarfare in my life that I
didn't realize where it wasrooted in.
So it's always growing and Iwill say this.

(36:59):
So I, my heart, feels whole andI don't.
I didn't used to feel that way.
I used to feel very wounded andyou know the it doesn't stop.
Like we still have to takecaptive thoughts that come our
way and the enemy will prey onweaknesses.
You know, like one of mine is,uh, that God's healed me from is

(37:22):
I'm not good enough, andthere's still days when you know
that will just come in and I'lllet it stay a little bit.
Do you know what I mean?
Like all I know, let's hang out.
It's like I'm like why, why amI doing this?
I know who I am Like this isnot okay.
But there is a difference in in, just my heart feels whole and

(37:44):
it didn't used to feel full.
I don't know how to explain it,but it's like I know that there
has been a level of wholenessthat he's brought to me, but
we're always growing.

Speaker 2 (37:56):
Yes, and how like, how fresh is this for you?

Speaker 3 (37:59):
With the bloodline.
Yeah, well, that was actuallyin the last a couple of months
deadline.
Well, that was actually in thelast couple of months, yeah, and
it wasn't like a huge shift forme.
It was just that I wasexperiencing a few oppressions
when I would work with peopleand no matter who I would talk
to about it, like you know, Iwould get prayer, but it was

(38:19):
like it wasn't necessarily goingaway and especially when I was
in worship it would happen andI'm like what is going on?
It was like a depression on myshoulder here just a little bit
sometimes, and I know thatsounds a little bit weird, but
that was what was happening andI'm like I just really don't
think this is the way that Godwants it to be.
It doesn't feel like it's himshowing me something and I

(38:44):
finally we had a speaker comeout to minister to families and
she has learned a lot aboutbloodline deliverance, and so I
asked her, I said, could this be?
So?
She did a little bit of youknow, a question with me, a
prayer with me, and thenliterally it was five minutes
and it was gone.
And then literally it was fiveminutes and it was gone.

(39:06):
And I think for me it was just akind of a final thing and I'm
not saying it's the only finalthing when I say that, but it
was a final thing a long processof my intercession.
Like God set us free.
I want my children free, I wantmy bloodline free.
I want you know, I wantgenerations free.

(39:27):
I don't just want us free, Iwant my children free, I want my
bloodline free.
I want you know, I wantgenerations free.
I don't just want myself free,I want generations free.
And what was really really neatabout that situation was, right
before I went up to her to askher about that, my daughter had
gotten ministry from her andshe's 21.
And she was in the other roomgetting ministry and I didn't

(39:48):
even realize that they weredoing bloodline freedom over her
, and so I literally came upwith the same thing that she had
.
I mean, it ended up beingconnected and we, my daughter
and I, got to pray together andit was just so precious.
God wants to restore, he wantsto restore families.
He wants to restore entirecommunities.

Speaker 2 (40:13):
So could you just share a little bit.
For somebody who's wonderingwhat is bloodline deliverance,
Could you just share a littlebit of what that means.

Speaker 3 (40:23):
Yeah, that's even a word I don't often use for
myself, just because it justshare a little bit of what that
means.
Yeah, that's even a word Idon't often use myself, just
because it can be a little bitlike scary or something.
But really it's simple.
It's that in Deuteronomy ittalks about that the blessings
of God flow for a thousandgenerations and it also talks

(40:44):
about that.
You know, our sin can cause acurse that flows for three to
four generations, and one of thethings that I've learned along
the way is that three to fourgenerations is where God cuts
that off, but then if the thirdor fourth generation continues
in the sin, that's what it does.
It goes three or four moregenerations right, so we can

(41:07):
have sin in our.
that's what I'm referring towhen I say bloodline in our
generations might be a betterterm than using bloodline really
means the same thing In ourgenerations Generational, yeah,
generational.
But it's more than justbreaking a generational curse
it's actually a deliverance.

Speaker 2 (41:26):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (41:28):
And the something I mean.
This is a again.
Every one of these is such abig topic, but they're.
Jesus paid the price at thecross for our deliverance and
for our sickness, and the bestway that I can explain this is
that I'm sure that almosteveryone listening at some point

(41:50):
has had the flu or a cold, andyet we are healed through Christ
, jesus, right?
So at some point, sometimes, what we have in Christ isn't
necessarily what we areexperiencing in our reality, and

(42:13):
so, in the same way withdeliverance, we have full
deliverance and freedom throughthe cross.
But sometimes there's placeswhere the enemy either has a
legal entry and that's whathappens with the generations is
there's been a door opened andit never got shut so to speak,
and so that's it's.
It's a pretty simple thing, butit's like we have to.

(42:34):
We have to take away.
We have to take our authoritythrough Christ and take away the
legal right that the enemy isholding onto and place that in
the Lord's hands, and then weget that freedom.
And so it's a lot about legalrights, illegal rights, and the
enemy doesn't play fair andsometimes we are way too nice to

(42:55):
him because we should hate whathe does.
He's a destroyer, he kills, hesteals, he destroys.
Nothing he does is good and heloves to squat.
And if you don't tell him toleave, he's not going to leave.
Even though we have authoritythrough Christ and we are free,
he's still going to put us inbondage if we let him.

Speaker 2 (43:17):
Yeah, I like to say the enemy's a punk and he's
under my feet, like that's justtry to come at, come at me
something.
Nope, you're a punk.
Like that's just my ownterminology.
That's what I use a lot toleratehim with that sometimes we
tolerate him yeah, well, andthose thoughts that come, like
you said earlier, likeentertaining the thoughts that

(43:39):
come that aren't like from fromthe like that's not something he
would say to us.
And like, how would yourecommend somebody like, when
they're hearing these thoughts, like, rather than entertaining
them?
You know we hear like, you know, take your thoughts captive,
like what does that look likefor you, like tangibly, for

(44:00):
somebody who's like, well, Ican't stop thinking these things
.

Speaker 3 (44:08):
So I think the first step, if they're intrusive
thoughts typically they'redemonic, sometimes they can be
our thoughts too but if they'reintrusive thoughts, then we have
the authority to bind them upin the name of Jesus.
And the Bible says to set up,to take every thought captive to

(44:31):
the obedience of Christ.
And I like to think about thatas an act of war, because when
we take something captive, it'snot you know, it's not easy to
take something captive.
They don't want to be takencaptive typically, captive
typically because they'relooking for their freedom.
And so if we're looking atthese thoughts as they are not

(44:52):
obedient to Christ and we needto take them captive, then there
is a level of wrestling themdown, and the best way to do
that is through an exercise, andmaybe this is a good way.
I can actually just leave thisexercise with anyone listening
here on this podcast to practiceyourself, because I believe

(45:12):
every human being has some levelof a lie being spoken to them
or a core belief system that ismaybe not in alignment with
heaven, that needs to be healedand needs to be adjusted into
his truth, and so my favoritething to do is to just have have
you close your eyes and askJesus to come and be with you

(45:36):
and go to a place that bringsyou peace, like some people love
to go to the ocean, some peoplelike to walk through the forest
, some people like their ownbedrooms, be on their bed or on
a couch that's comfortable andsafe.
And I just encourage people touse their imagination and
picture that place of peace andthen invite Jesus to come, be

(45:59):
with them and ask him about thelie that you were hearing.
And if you're not sure if it'sa lie or if it's truth, ask him
and just say Jesus, you knowwhat do you want to say about
this?
And I think it's reallyimportant, when we do recognize

(46:23):
it's a lie, to renounce it.
To say and renounce is anotherbig word it's really saying I
don't agree.
So you can say I don't agree oryou can say I renounce it, but
I don't agree with the thoughtthat I'm not good enough.
And I received the truth andthen asked Jesus what is the
truth?
Well, the truth for me is Imean I'm not good enough, but

(46:45):
through Christ and what he didfor me, I am enough and because
he is enough for me.
And so sometimes it can be likea twisted truth.
Right Like we are, none of usare good enough.
We've all sinned, we've allfallen short, but I'm also.
God doesn't look at me as afailure.
That's not who he.

(47:06):
He he sees me as successthrough the eyes of Christ.
And so it's asking the Lordwhat is the truth, and then
maybe even finding a scripturethat goes along with that truth,
that you can implant thosethose things on your mirror, on
your, you know, wherever you'redriving.
If you spend a lot of time inthe car, put it on your car, put

(47:28):
it on your wall, put it whereyou do the dishes at your
workplace.
Put the truths around, surroundyourself with the truth that
God speaks over your life, andthat's a really good way to
start overcoming the lies.

Speaker 2 (47:43):
Okay, is there a verse that really helped you to
overcome in that area of the notenough?
Because I've found that there's.
It's kind of a flip.
It's like too much, not enough.
Have you heard those a lot LikeI'm too much and I'm not enough
?
Yes, those are big ones, right, and they try to stop you from

(48:03):
going forward.

Speaker 1 (48:12):
I think the key to the not good enough side is
relationship with.

Speaker 3 (48:14):
God instead of religion.
I'm not sure I have aparticular scripture, except
that it's not about our works,so I think it might be more that

(48:49):
type of scripture where it's byfaith, it's not by works, that
no man can boast.
And so the truth is, is thatwe're where we?
Just we need to let down thatwall of protection and let Jesus
in to fill the need, whateverthat need is.
That's making us not enough and, to speak, the value that we
need into our lives into ourlives so good.

Speaker 2 (49:11):
Angela, you're amazing, like he has the
teaching, absolutely Like I seeit full, it's, it's beautiful
and I would love to have youcome back another time.
And in the meantime, as youguys heard, angela, could you
share your website again?

Speaker 3 (49:22):
Sure it's AngelaAdkinscom.
And.
I'm also on Facebook, AngelaAdkins.
I'm not sure.

Speaker 2 (49:31):
Yeah Well, if anything you know, if anything
popped out, like, are you opento, you know, touching base with
people, helping them understandmore, maybe some of these
topics that maybe are new tothem, Because it was new to me
in 2017.
A lot of these things I've,like I said, my ears, my eyes,
everything's kind of opened upand I was like, wow, this is not
a lot of stuff that's beingtaught in church.

Speaker 3 (49:53):
Absolutely.
I have a free consult.
So if you reach out to me onthe website, just put a.
You know there's a contact mebutton.
Okay send an email my way whereI can send you a link.
I'm not sure if my calendar isup on my website yet, cause I
have a couple of differentwebsites going up.

(50:15):
For those of you who don't knowme, I started my business just
recently.
It was less than six months ago.
I've been doing the ministry ofthis for like 20 years, but did
not have a business to go withit until just pretty recently,
so I'm still getting all of myducks in a row, yeah.

Speaker 2 (50:35):
Yes, I love that you are out there.
You may not have it alltogether yet, but you're out
here and you're helping to setthe captives free, which is
beautiful.

Speaker 3 (50:44):
Absolutely.
I'm happy to have aconsultation and just see what I
might have available to helppeople.
I also have a course.
It's called Heart Sessions withJesus Basic Tools to Healing
and Freedom, and it actuallydoes talk about hearing God's
voice, connection, forgiveness, all of these topics that we've

(51:05):
been talking about, and core, core memories, core lies out of
how God rewrites our story.
That's all in that workbook andthere's like a a course.
You can even do it with a smallgroup.
I did it with small groups inmind, hoping that people would
take the workbook and just workthrough it with a small group.

(51:26):
I did it with small groups inmind, hoping that people would
take the workbook and just workthrough it with a small group
and pray with each other and seehealing and freedom.

Speaker 2 (51:32):
Awesome, and that's available on your website,
correct?

Speaker 3 (51:34):
Yes, that's also on Amazon as well.

Speaker 2 (51:36):
Okay, awesome.
Well, as we close today, Iwould love for you to just think
of the one who's listening intoday, because that's my heart
is to do this for the one.
Is there anything that youwould like to speak over the one
, any additional encouragement, any wisdom you'd like to share?
And then would you be open topraying us out today?

Speaker 3 (51:57):
Absolutely.
I think what's on my heart atthe moment and it kind of
correlates to what we justtalked about in overcoming lies
is that every one of you that'slistening, you are valuable and
you have a plan.
God has a plan and a purposefor you that is beyond measure,

(52:20):
and it says, you know, inJeremiah 29, 11, which a lot of
us are familiar with, it saysthat he has a future and a hope
and it will not be cut off.
And I believe that one of theenemy's main tactics is to try
to stop us from accomplishingthe amazing things that we are

(52:42):
created to accomplish.
The amazing things that we arecreated to accomplish and I'm
trying to find the right wordsfor this but it's not just that
we're supposed to accomplish, but that we are powerful.
We're powerful people, and whatwe believe literally changes
the world around us.
And what you believe aboutyourself, what you believe about

(53:03):
God, what you step out in faithin, is literally what will
change the world around you andchange your world.
And so I just want to encourageyou to realize that it's not by
our might and it's not by ourpower, but it's by the Holy

(53:24):
Spirit that we are able to seeany of these things happen, and
whether God is calling you intoa deeper place of healing
personally, maybe saying like hewants to speak to you in the
secret place and to open up moretime for intimacy, or whether

(53:45):
you yourself feel a call to goforward and make a change in
your world and you're trying tonavigate that change.
I just want to encourage you tobring all of that before the
Lord, because he cares about you, he sees your value and
anything telling you anythingelse than that is not his voice,
and so that's probably the mostimportant thing I feel like I

(54:12):
can say.
The Lord put on my heart thestory of Samson this week, and I
just think it's so interestingbecause if you look at Samson's
life in the Old Testament, ifyou've read about him, he was a
judge of Israel and he hadincredible strength, but that

(54:32):
strength came from the power ofthe spirit that was upon him,
and you know it was the HolySpirit that rested upon him.
Even though he was in the OldTestament, it was still the Holy
Spirit that rested upon him,and now we have access to the
power of the Holy Spirit.
As believers, we all haveaccess.
It's not just like a judge inIsrael.

(54:52):
That happens to have that uponhim his life.
But we get access to God anytime, all the time Jesus Christ
lives in us.
We always triumph throughChrist.
We're seated in heavenly placeswith Christ it's all over the
scripture and we have this powerof the Holy Spirit accessible
to us, and so I just want totell you that no one listening,

(55:15):
you are not little, you are notless than you may look different
than me, you may not have thesame gifting sets that I do or
Kristen does, but you have avalue and you have something
beautiful to offer to this world, and anything telling you

(55:37):
otherwise is a lie.
Yes, amen.
Amen.

Speaker 2 (55:43):
I just sense like a healing balm over so many
listening right now.

Speaker 3 (55:51):
Do you want me to pray?

Speaker 2 (55:53):
Yeah, would you pray us out?

Speaker 3 (55:56):
So, lord, I thank you for every person listening to
this podcast and Holy Spirit, Ipray right now that you would
settle upon them to this podcastand Holy Spirit, I pray right
now that you would settle uponthem that your presence, your
love, your comfort would justset upon their hearts, god, that
you would tear down any wallsthat have been keeping them from

(56:19):
connecting to you, connectingto your presence, lord, and I
pray, father, that you wouldheal pain and that you would
speak into places where the justthe, I don't understand places,
the places where it doesn't allmake sense.

(56:44):
Oh, lord, that there would be alevel of trust that every
person who's listening to thispodcast could step into and
saying God, I trust you, eventhough I don't understand
everything, I trust you.
I trust you that you, you aremy, and I feel like it's even
fill in the blank.
What is it that you need God tobe?

(57:05):
For me, it was.
I needed God to be my protector.
I needed God to be my love.
I needed filled with love sothat I didn't walk in fear.
Fear was a huge place that Godovercame in my life.

(57:25):
I used to be afraid of demons, actually, which is hilarious,
because now I'm also like I'mnot afraid anymore.
I know who God is.
And so, lord, wherever thatplace is, whether it's you know,
um, that God you are, I'm notalone.
You are with me into that placeof abandonment.

(57:46):
God, I pray that you would justremove any core lies where
somebody I just feel likethere's somebody who's listening
, who does feel alone, who maybeeven feels on scene, but
especially feels alone, and Ijust want to speak to you, that
God is with you, he loves you,he sees you.

(58:08):
You're not alone.
And, lord, I pray for anyoneelse that needs to just hear
your voice, that you would speakthe truth to their heart, god,

would feel your presence andyour healing and that you would
help them, god, to step out infreedom, to take authority over

the lives of the enemy and tobind them up and remove them
through the authority of Christthat they have.
Father, I thank you that theyare beloved and that they are
yours.
