Welcome Back to Powerful Homes Housing Literacy  with Matt Guarino- the Mindset and Tactics to empower your dreams through Real Estate. In this episode Matt goes over Lessons from the Cave- 10 Real Life Stories about Home Ownership that can change YOUR life. Joseph Campbell said "The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure that you seek."

In the United States, approximately 65% own homes and 35% rent.   Why do so many continue to rent and why is the United States 42nd out of 195 countries with home ownership rates?  How can it be that 100 million Americans are renting with that number growing every single year?

Matt believes the basics of understanding what is means to own a home vs the myths about it can create fear that is simply not real, that becomes a cave certain people simply will not enter for generations.  Housing Literacy: the mindset and ethics-based tactics can help anyone break through.

Most people get stuck on HOW can I do it?  Where do I start?  What’s the first step and what if something goes wrong?  Today’s topic addresses all of those things with real life cases of what happens when you enter the “cave” of homeownership.  The real answer to how is YES which means you have to engage and jump in.  There is no substitute for what being an owner feels like.

As always, if you have any questions please tell Matt directly at 303-885-1644.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
