ATR2100x-USB Microph (00:00):
Yesterday, I was driving my littlest, who's

(00:02):
not so little anymore, he'snine, to soccer practice and he
was telling me about practicingfor their upcoming standardized
testing.
And he was so upset about thewriting portion of the test.
He said it was the only partthat he wasn't going to do good
on because he didn't know whatto write.
When I asked him more about it,he was telling me that they had
to read a couple of passages andthen give a summary or compare

(00:23):
and contrast.
I wasn't quite sure on exactlywhat they were supposed to do
because neither was he.
But he said by the end of thepractice test, he hadn't written
a single thing.
Today's pep talk.
This is what I told him, whatI've told my clients lately, and
what I'm telling myself.
Done is better than perfect.
I looked in the rear view mirrorand I said, Hey buddy, can I
tell you a little secret?

(00:44):
He's like, yeah.
And I said, you get more pointsfor writing something than for
writing nothing.
The same goes for your businessas well.
And mine too.
I'm in the middle of Spotlightfor the website Launch
Accelerator right now.
And while I know there is somuch more that I could be doing
and could have done to preparefor it, I knew that if I waited
until I had everything perfect, would not be spotlighting my

(01:04):
offer again until probably June, maybe later, because I am not
great at getting all of thoselittle parts and pieces into
place and I can overthink it andover perfect things to where
they just don't get done.
I have clients that are in thesame boat.
They've got a website that'sbeautiful.
We've built it.
It's ready to go, but there'sone little thing that they're
like still tweaking and tweakingand tweaking.

(01:26):
And I'll tell them.
Publish it.
Publish it now.
It's good.
It's ready.
And you can continue to tweak asyou go.
But having it out in the worldand having other people be able
to see it and connect with it isbetter than not.
And the same goes with mylaunch.
Being able to share with youabout it, tell you about my
program, and tell you that thedoors are open, come on in, is

(01:48):
better than me sitting herequietly hoping people come into
the program.
So what is it in your business?
What are you trying to getperfect and not getting done?
What needs to change there?
How can you get past thatperfectionism and understand
that having it out in the worldand having it done is better
than not?
I hope this little pep talk washelpful and I'll talk to you
soon.
