On our next episode of HED TV, we speak with Todd Jackson Jr, born in Jacksonville, Florida, to Tornardo Jackson and Kecia Mungin (Brown). He was raised by his grandmother, Bettye, who introduced him to the richness of Black cinema. Growing up, Todd was inspired by legendary figures like Denzel Washington, Danny Glover, and the late Tupac Shakur—icons who helped spark his passion for storytelling and performance.
From working with local filmmakers in Duval to landing a role on Tyler Perry’s hit show Sistas, Todd has never stopped chasing purpose through performance. Whether he’s on screen, behind the mic, or in front of a live audience, he brings authenticity, experience, and heart to every moment.
He is the sibling of his late brother, Christopher Jackson, along with Greg, DJ, Damien, Wykeisha, Tameca, and Latoya. Todd graduated from Terry Parker High School in 2004 and earned his degree from Jacksonville University in 2009.
