(00:38):
impactful data.
Now let's jump into this week'spodcast.
Let's jump into this week'spodcast.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
Today's episode is
for the men and women who keep
health care moving, no matterthe hour, no matter the
conditions.
You're the invisible force, theones ensuring every beep, every
(01:08):
pulse and every machine isready to do its job when it
matters most.
Today, we're talking about whyyou do what you do, why it
matters and how, together, we'rebuilding a future that's
stronger than ever.
So let's start with thisquestion why did you choose
(01:31):
healthcare technology management?
What brought you to thisindustry?
Maybe it was the technology, maybe it was a desire to make an
impact in healthcare, or maybeit was simply that feeling that
this was a place where you couldmake a real difference.
But let me tell you somethingYou're here because you have a
purpose.
(01:51):
You're a part of a mission thatgoes beyond a paycheck, beyond
a job description, and whatyou're doing right now, every
single day, has the power tosave lives.
Now let's get real for a minute.
(02:12):
Somewhere right now, there is apatient lying in a hospital bed.
Maybe they're someone's parent,someone's child, someone's best
friend, and they're connectedto machines.
They don't understand Systemsthey've never seen, but they're
relying on them.
(02:33):
They're depending on thosemachines to do their job,
because those machines mean life.
And beyond those machines, standing in the background is
you.
They may never know your name, they may never see your face,
but right now they are trustingyou with their lives.
(02:56):
This is why, in HTM, we don'tget to clock out mentally this
work we do.
It isn't just a nine to five,it's not something we can leave
at the door.
This is a commitment, aresponsibility, a duty that we
(03:18):
carry with us.
Every time we fix a piece ofequipment, every time we run a
diagnostic, every time we checka system, we are ensuring that
someone, somewhere, has afighting chance.
And that's not something wetake lightly.
We wear that responsibilitylike a badge of honor, because
(03:43):
every machine we touch issomeone's lifeline.
Now, I know as well as you dothat what we do isn't glamorous,
it's not flashy, it's not thework that gets thanked every day
.
In fact, it can feel prettyinvisible sometimes.
(04:05):
But let me tell you, justbecause people don't see it
doesn't mean it's any lessimportant.
In fact, what you do, what weall do, is the backbone of
healthcare.
If we weren't here doing whatwe do, healthcare as we know it
(04:27):
will come to a halt.
So, yes, you may be invisibleto some, but to those of us in
HGM and to those whose livesdepend on your work.
You are absolutely necessary.
You are absolutely necessary.
Let's take a step forward andlook at the future.
(04:48):
The truth is, the future of HTMisn't something we inherit.
It's not something that'shanded down to us ready-made.
No, the future is created bythose who dare to be great, by
(05:10):
those who push beyond limits, bythose who refuse to settle for
good enough.
The path ahead isn't going tobe easy.
There are new technologiescoming up every day.
Patient expectations aregrowing, the demands on
healthcare systems are higherthan ever, and we're the ones
(05:30):
who are going to make sure thatall of these needs are met
safely, reliably and efficiently.
There will be days that test us, moments that challenge
everything we thought we knew, but I've got faith in each one
of you, because I know that HTMprofessionals don't back down.
(05:52):
We don't just settle for goodenough.
We innovate, we adapt, weovercome, and in doing that we
set a new standard.
We build a legacy that goesbeyond us, beyond today and into
the lives of those who comeafter us.
(06:13):
Imagine for a moment the futureof this industry.
Imagine a world where HTM isn'tjust a support role but a
central part of healthcare, fully recognized by the
life-saving work it does.
A world where every technician, every manager, every HTM
(06:34):
professional is equipped withthe tools, the resources and the
respect to do their jobs to thefullest.
A world where the work we do isrecognized not just as valuable
but as absolutely essential.
That vision doesn't happen ifwe settle.
It doesn't happen if we acceptgood enough.
(06:57):
If we settle, it doesn't happenif we accept good enough.
If we want to create a futurewe're proud of, a future we're
inspired by, we need a fire, apassion that drives us to bring
our best, day after day.
I'm talking about a fire thatpushes us to go beyond the
basics, to see every challengeas an opportunity to improve, to
(07:21):
innovate, to make things better.
So here's what I'm asking of youtoday Don't settle.
Don't settle for just doing thejob.
Don't settle for the status quo.
Step up, don't settle for thestatus quo.
(07:42):
Step up, embrace your role witha drive, a dedication, a hunger
that others can't ignore.
Be the leader in the space.
Be the innovator who findssolutions where others see
problems.
Be the change maker whotransforms the way we deliver
care.
Believe in your mission, believe in the purpose that
brought you here Because inevery operating room, every
(08:05):
emergency department, everyhospital floor across this world
, htm professionals like you aremaking an impact every single
day.
The work we do is transformative, it's powerful and it's
absolutely essential.
So, as we move forward, let'scarry this purpose with us.
(08:28):
Let's remember that we'rebuilding something bigger than
ourselves.
We are creating a future forthis industry, a legacy for
those who will come after us,and that legacy, it starts with
us right here.
Right now, let's make itextraordinary.
Let's be the heartbeat behindhealth care.
