Speaker 1 (00:01):
Welcome to HTM On the
Line.
I'm your host, bryant HawkinsSr.
Today's episode is aboutsomething deeper than tools,
machines or the systems wemaintain.
It's about you, the personbehind it all.
This episode is a call toaction.
It's about stepping back, realigning and remembering that
(00:25):
the impact you make in thisindustry begins with the energy,
purpose and focus you bring tothe table.
So, wherever you're tuning infrom, take a moment to pause and
really lean into this episode.
Let's explore how you can showup, not just for your job but
(00:46):
for your life.
(01:14):
This message today is for thegrinders, the dreamers, the ones
who refuse to settle formediocrity, the ones who show up
every single day in the HTMindustry doing the work that
keeps everything running.
Let's be honest, this industryisn't easy.
(01:37):
The stakes are high, thepressure never lets up.
There's no room for shortcutsor excuses.
But here's the thing.
That's what makes it special.
That's what makes you special.
You're here because you'rebuilt for this.
(02:01):
You're here because, when thepressure's on you rise and
here's the truth that mostpeople won't tell you the
biggest challenge you'll face inthis industry or in life has
nothing to do with the machinesyou fix or the systems you
(02:21):
repair.
The greatest challenge is you.
It's the project you repair.
The greatest challenge is you.
It's the project of you, it'sthe energy, the mindset and the
purpose you bring to the tableevery single day.
That's the game changer.
That's what separates those whosimply work from those who lead
(02:45):
, inspire and make an impact.
Today we're going to examinejust that, because if you can
master the business of you, everything else will follow.
(03:11):
Let me tell you a story.
There was someone in HTM whostarted at the very bottom doing
basic maintenance work, runningaround fixing anything and
everything, grinding day in andday out, giving everything to
the job but absolutely nothingto themselves.
(03:35):
And, as you might expect, theyburned out.
They hit a wall.
They kept thinking if I justwork harder, things will get
better.
If I just push through, everything will fall into place.
But here's the truth Hard workwithout alignment is wasted
(04:00):
energy.
You can't just grind aimlessly.
You have to get intentional.
You have to focus on what fuelsyou, on what gives you purpose,
because if you don't, you'llwake up one day completely
(04:24):
drained asking yourself why didI even start this in the first
place?
This person made a decision, alife-changing decision.
They started taking care ofthemselves mentally, physically
and emotionally.
They got clear on their why, onwhat truly mattered to them.
They stopped running onautopilot and started living
(04:47):
with purpose, and now they'rerunning their own department,
leading with clarity, inspiringtheir team and thriving in every
area of their life.
That transformation, it didn'tcome from working harder.
(05:07):
It came from aligning theireffort with their purpose.
That's the shift we all need tomake.
(05:27):
Let's pause for a second and askthe real question what about
you?
How are you managing thebusiness of you?
Are you investing in yourselfor are you spending all your
(05:48):
energy on things that don'ttruly matter?
Because here's the truth theHTM industry doesn't just need
skilled workers, it needsleaders.
I need you to understandsomething Energy is your
currency.
It's what allows you to create, inspire and lead.
(06:13):
When you're in alignment, whenyour energy is focused on what
matters, you're unstoppable.
You move differently, you thinkbigger.
You inspire others to step upjust by being you.
But when you're drained, whenyou're scattered, when you're
giving everything to everyonebut yourself, that's when
(06:38):
everything falls apart.
So ask yourself are youspending your energy on things
that truly align with yourpurpose, or are you chasing
distractions, trying to beeverything to everyone?
Because here's the reality youare your greatest assets.
It all starts with you.
(07:00):
So how will you manage thebusiness of you today?
Listen to me, you've got toprotect your energy like your
(07:27):
life depends on it.
Cut out the distractions.
Let go of the excuses.
Stop trying to please everybody.
Some people won't get it.
Some people won't clap when youwin.
(07:48):
So what?
That's not your concern.
Your concern is waking up everyday and asking yourself Am I
better than I was yesterday?
Because here's the thing what'sfor you is already yours, but
it's not going to land in yourlap.
(08:10):
You've got to work for it.
You've got to stay locked in onyour goals.
You've got to outlast thedistractions, outwork the
competition and outgrow thedoubts in your own mind.
And when life tests you and itwill don't run from it Embrace
(08:33):
it.
The adversity, the challenges, the setbacks, they're not there
to stop you.
They're there to sharpen you.
Every obstacle is anopportunity to rise.
Every failure is a lessonthat's preparing you for your
(08:54):
next breakthrough.
You've got to trust the process, even when it hurts, because
pain isn't the end, it's thebeginning of growth.
So here's my challenge for youTake a step back today.
(09:21):
Look at your life, not themachines, not the hospital, not
the job.
Look at you.
Are you pouring into yourself?
Are you building the life youdeserve or are you just
surviving day to day?
Because when you take care ofyou, when you align your energy,
(09:46):
your focus and your purpose, everything else falls into place
.
The HTM industry doesn't justneed people who can work.
It needs people who can lead, people who can see the bigger
picture, people who have thecourage to break the mold and
(10:06):
redefine what's possible, andthat's you.
So stop waiting, stophesitating.
This is your time, your moment, your season.
Get out there and own it,because your best work, your
greatest impact is still aheadof you, and I promise you, when
(10:33):
you stay committed to theprocess, when you protect your
energy and when you show upevery single day with purpose,
you won't just make waves inthis industry.
You'll create a legacy.
Now go, make it happen.
(10:54):
Thank you for tuning in today.
As you go back to your dailygrind, I want to leave you with
this the work you do matters, but the person behind the work
matters even more.
Take time to reflect, rechargeand refocus.
You can't pour from an emptycup, and the best version of you
(11:18):
is what this industry trulyneeds.
So take that next step.
Make the adjustments where youneed to prioritize what fuels
you, because when you do, you'renot just contributing, you're
leading, you're inspiring.
You're leading, you'reinspiring, you're building a
(11:40):
legacy.
Until next time, take care ofyourself and keep showing up for
what truly matters.
I'll see you in the nextepisode of HTM On the Line, take
care.
