Discussing jobs and life journeys with amazing people! Human of all Trades is intended as a space for sharing our careers and how we arrived at them. No two individuals share the same path to a given endpoint, and the journey is often the best part. Whether we followed an A-to-B trajectory, fell into a passion by chance, or discovered something more meaningful on the road to another destination, this is meant to be a place to share those stories. We hope to offer insights into careers for job searchers, support for folks considering a change in direction, and the understanding that none of us has made it this far without some bumps and bruises along the way. Selfishly, we just want to hear and share the stories of friends. Community is powerful, and we would like to both celebrate ours AND expand it. Come be a part of this with us!

We talk about his growing up in eastern Pennsylvania, learning to play guitar, going to luthiery school in California, and even working in IT along the way. Hopefully it isn't a shock, but we also talk about bands and guitars quite a bit...

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
