This one is for busy professional women who pour so much into their careers and into other people, but neglect to pour back into themselves.

Studies show that neglecting self-care can lead to challenges in one's physical health, mental health, relationships, mood, productivity, satisfaction in life, and success. Many women report not having enough time for self-care or feeling guilty when they do take time off.

EDA Framework - What tasks can I Eliminate, Delegate, or Automate?

Eliminate:

  1. Excessive social media browsing: Limit the amount of time spent scrolling through social media feeds or consider taking a break from social media altogether.

  2. Multitasking: Focus on one task at a time instead of trying to do several things simultaneously, which can lead to inefficiency and stress.

  3. Non-essential meetings: Decline invitations to meetings that are not necessary or not directly related to your work responsibilities.

  4. Unnecessary email: Reduce the time spent on email by unsubscribing from newsletters and marketing emails that are not useful or relevant.

  5. Unproductive commuting: Use commuting time effectively by listening to audiobooks, podcasts or taking advantage of public transportation to read or plan your day.

Delegate:

  1. Administrative work: Hire an administrative assistant or outsource administrative tasks such as data entry, scheduling, and email management.

  2. Housework: Hire a housekeeper or cleaning service to handle household chores such as cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping.

  3. Childcare: Hire a nanny, babysitter, or enroll children in childcare to take care of childcare responsibilities while you focus on work or self-care.

  4. Errands: Hire a personal assistant or use on-demand services such as TaskRabbit to delegate errands such as picking up dry cleaning, grocery shopping, or running other errands.

  5. Social media management: Hire a social media manager or outsource social media tasks such as content creation, scheduling, and engagement.

Automate:

  1. Email management: Use tools such as filters, rules, and templates to automatically sort and respond to emails, reducing the time spent on email management
  2. Appointment scheduling: Use scheduling tools such as Calendly or Doodle to automate appointment scheduling and eliminate the back-and-forth communication involved in scheduling meetings.
  3. Personal shopping: Use online shopping services such as Amazon Subscribe & Save or Walmart Grocery Pickup to automate the process of purchasing and receiving groceries, household supplies, and other items, reducing the time spent on shopping and errands.
