Knowing your role
Some people aren't meant to be entrepreneurs. We got a core business, which is for me music
Then it's about building enterprise around it. We all know you only get what you work for nothing more
And everything less you are teaching people about why ownership is important
I think the music business is done.

(00:22):
I learned that the whole industry is ran by just like it's a couple people.
So is the label the bad guy or what?
They're not the bad guys, it's just a system that was created many years ago that they're not changing.
Well, unfortunately, like I said, the music industry isn't being run by musicians.
It's being run by accountants and lawyers.
It's one of those things that like everyone in the industry knows is going on.
How many orders do you hear complaining about we don't make money off our YouTube video?

(00:44):
We don't make money off our streaming? The label won't let me go.
How do you want 10% of somebody else's thing? All of it on every lane, but you don't want to give none of yours?
If you are independent or the assigned, there's no difference in the work.
You're the boss. That's what your business is. That's what your life is.
You create the space so you can control it. You control your environment.

(01:06):
Standard in the industry is, yeah, there's a lot of deception.
The business is built off of deception. It's predatory. It's information you're not supposed to know. All that.
These industries have been set up like the coal industry, like the music industry.
It's something different to the way these billionaires run the world.
And we're not a part of that. We've only been let in on a communication level.

(01:30):
It's a new form of cotton that we all picket.
No, it's a thing.
What do you think artists would be looked at as businesses and not part of a business?
When you own your masters, give me a raise.
You constantly talk about this and you've built a career being this guy.
I changed the game. You have to be disruptive to change the game.
You cannot change the game. You can't take a block being nice.
