For years, we’ve struggled to connect paranormal reports with a scientific explanation. And honestly, we’ve mostly failed at it. Here at Idiopathic, we like to explore the more human side of things– the medical explanations for the strange and paranormal events recorded throughout our history. A lot of study has gone on looking outside ourselves – is there something more than just us out there in the universe? Maybe?
As a researcher, I find approaches to understanding the paranormal interesting, at least in their ingenuity. I don’t feel we know enough to conclusively say whether there’s something more to this universe than just us. I’ve had strange experiences myself that I can’t explain. So, no, I’m not going to say that I believe searching out explanations into the paranormal is pseudoscientific folly.
Perhaps there are environmental or geophysical reasons for what goes bump in the night? Maybe their explanations are mundane, or maybe they’re a new scientific avenue waiting to be explored. We just don’t know for certain and that’s half the fun!
