Hola, Soy Gerardo Gaya, Presidente Ejecutivo de Iluminemos por el Autismo y en este episodio platicamos con Brenda Aguirre, Licenciada en Administración de Empresas Turísticas, mamá de Mateo, un niño autista, cuyo diagnóstico, dice Brenda, confirmó su misión de vida: ser feliz.
Abandonó sus proyectos laborales y se certificó por “The Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential” en desarrollo cerebral del niño para tratar exclusivamente a su hijo, llevando de primera mano la intervención terapéutica, académica y nutricional. Su asistencia a congresos LINCA le ayudó a entender la importancia de la dieta en el autismo, certificándose también en el protocolo GAPS (entre otros cursos). Actualmente está por concluir la Certificación en Nutrición Moderna impartida por el Dr. Guillermo Navarrete.
Brenda nos comparte la importancia de poner atención a los focos rojos para obtener un diagnóstico de autismo, de no rendirse ante lo fatalista y buscar opciones para mejorar la calidad de vida de su hijo, entre ellas, documentarse y buscar opciones de alimentación. También hablamos sobre el significado para ella de estas palabras: frecuencia, intensidad y duración, también sobre la dualidad del autismo.
Platicamos sobre su pasión por la natación y la analogía que encuentra con su vida cada que entra al agua, la importancia de la inclusión y empatía así como su parte altruista al sumarse al Cruce Por el Autismo en el cual con un grupo de nadadores se sumergirá en aguas abiertas para apoyar a Iluminemos por el Autismo
