I'm Too Old For This Flick

I'm Too Old For This Flick

Two aging movie nerds with bad backs and worse opinions dive into the good, the bad, and the “how did this get made?” of film. I’m Too Old for This Flick is where one host can’t sit through a runtime longer than his sciatica flare-up, and the other thinks Letterboxd is the new MySpace. They cover new and old movies, play ridiculous movie-themed games, and bicker like the Statler and Waldorf of podcasting. It’s fun, it’s unfiltered, and it’s barely held together by Advil. If you like passionate film talk with a side of grump, you’re in the right place.

In the final episode of the season, Dustin and Tyler wrap things up the only way they know how—by playing pretend and talking too much. First, they dive into the TV shows they think deserve a movie treatment. Then they once again become studio execs with questionable taste and pitch each other ridiculous, randomly generated movie titles from ChatGPT. It’s chaotic, cinematic, and mildly concerning. See you next season. Probably.

If you had to be trapped in a movie theater for an entire year with one film on endless repeat, what would you choose? Tyler and Dustin debate which movie they'd risk total insanity for. They also tackle the ultimate casting question: which performances were so perfectly done that no actor alive could ever fill those shoes again? Plus, Tyler reviews James Gunn’s brand new comic book epic, Superman. Does it soar—or should it hav...

In this episode, Tyler sinks his teeth into the brand-new film Jurassic World: Rebirth. Is it an extinction-level disaster or a triumphant return of the dinosaurs? You’ll find out. Then, Tyler and Dustin put their creativity (and sanity) to the test by blind-pitching movies to each other based solely on ridiculous, made-up titles generated by ChatGPT. It’s chaos, it’s comedy, and it’s probably better than half the real movies out t...

Surprise! We're crashing your spring break with a bonus episode—because we missed the sound of our own voices (and maybe each other a little too). Spoiler: it's not Paddington. It’s punchy, it’s stupid, and it’s definitely not approved by HR.Pop in those earbuds and pretend you're not at wo...

They also reveal which iconic movie props they’d steal if they had the chance (legally or… not so legally). As always, they catch up on the movies and shows they watched this week and spiral into whatever weird tangents come up along the way.

Tyler and Dustin review a bunch of random movies like the overgrown film nerds they are. Tyler gives his quick take on Daredevil: Born Again—because Disney just can't leave things alone. Then, in the ultimate act of cinematic blasphemy, they recast iconic roles like Indiana Jones and Marty McFly as if those movies never existed (which, let’s be honest, is how Gen Z treats anything made before 2010). Finally, they rant about the...

Between reviewing their movie card challenge picks (The Lighthouse for Dustin, Bloodsport for Tyler) and talking about the movies they watched this week, they also tackle a big question: are modern movie theme songs just worse now? Tune in for some fever-induced wisdom, questionable takes, and the sound of two guys regretting th...
