(62) Laura Ellis - 'Little Miss Data' & the Evolution of Data Over Time

From housing data on a single server to global, distributed storage with zettabytes of available data. Over the past 20 years we have continued to modify the underlying architecture to match our desire to store more data. We use this data in consumer hyper personalization, detect vulnerabilities and data breaches, and to have a higher level of confidence in the answers to our questions. As we collect more data to address the questions from today, consumer expectations shift again and have more complicated questions tomorrow. Just when we think we have enough data, the line in sand moves again. In fact, the line is moving so much these days, one could say it doesn't really exist anymore. My guest today is Laura Ellis, who originally thought she was destined to become a teacher. Today she is a data engineering & platform analytics executive who started her professional career in technology and recently received CDO executive certificate.
