PEOPLE WHO GET YOU IN TROUBLE

For years, educational strategists have been implementing systems, people, and programs to enhance the educational system in America. According to data collected from Secondary educational institutions, a high percentage of parents and students need more confidence in the school discipline systems as a whole. As recognition and rewards are emphasized for students who exhibit exemplary behavior, the gap remains, and the educational system needs revamping when establishing rules and procedures. School districts and charter schools with an annual State Compensatory Education (SCE) allotment of $750,000 or greater must submit two campus improvement plans to TEA on or before the date that falls 150 days after the final Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS). This shows if a campus or district has improved or failed during the necessary time allotment. Should we find more ways of teaching scholars to avoid troublemakers, or should we teach how to manage all people better?

Buddy Thornton: How well do students understand the motivation behind behavioral actions; what strategies help students build their skills in making positive choices?

Dr. Kimberly Feroli: How do you put positive behavioral strategies into practice as it relates to students?

Michael Brown: How can we plan, practice, and follow up good teaching strategies that are both disciplined and culturally responsive?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
