IN BTWN ARTIST

An ‘In Between Artist’ is someone just 5–10 or even 15 steps ahead of you. Someone on a similar journey and path you seek to be on. Someone not so far ahead that they can relate to where you are and provide meaningful and fresh insight. The In-Between Artists podcast features honest and accessible conversations with guest artists. Your host, interdisciplinary artist Stephanie Brown, invites other creatives to share their personal journeys while highlighting practical and actionable insight on creative entrepreneurship for all to learn from. We’ll talk about money, navigating obstacles, battling patience, building networks and more! This podcast is designed to help aspiring, active, and dormant artists alike kickstart, revamp, or endure their art and design careers. Stephanie Brown, based in Atlanta, is a photographer and installation artist exploring African descent identities through her work. As a daughter of Jamaican immigrants, her art reflects her experiences blending Jamaican and Black American identities in South Florida. Using various mediums, she creates narratives rooted in historical research to empower individuals to define their identities. Beyond art, Stephanie is a leader and speaker in arts entrepreneurship with experience in education, business, and creative writing. She hosts the In Between Artist podcast about sustainable creative careers and co-founded The Comic Workshop with her cartoonist husband to promote storytelling through comics. As a new parent, she addresses sustainable entrepreneurship and conscious motherhood on her blog and social media. A SCAD and University of Michigan graduate, Stephanie aims to become a renowned visual artist and speaker.
