Tiffany (00:18):
Good morning.
I'm Tiffany Windsor and I'mMary and I'm Vienna.
Welcome to my dear friends.
I love sharing the space withyou.
Mary, I'm giving you the mic.
What is the theme of today'sdiscussion?
Mary (00:33):
The theme of today's is
love notes from God, and I'd
just like to pray us in.
Lord, we're just so gratefulthat you have gathered us here
today.
We know that you are here withus, and we ask for you to point
out your love notes to us, notjust today, but every day
because sometimes life gets veryhard and sad and lonely and
(00:59):
we're never alone.
So, Lord, show us your lovenotes.
Jesus' name.
Tiffany (01:03):
Amen, amen.
Thank you, Mary.
You have some really coolstories about love notes.
We were talking about someplants that have popped up in
your backyard, so do you want tostart us off?
Mary (01:16):
I will.
So years ago we had somemilkweed with so many monarchs.
The cocoons just covered thestairs and the cushions, hanging
off of everything.
We had to check where we sat,so we didn't sit on a cocoon and
it was such an extravagantabundance.
And if anyone has followed thelife cycle of a butterfly, you
(01:38):
know that it starts out as acaterpillar and then you end up
in a cocoon and you basicallyget turned to mush and sometimes
the trials of this life feellike that.
And then, on the other side ofthat transformation, you become
a butterfly and able to see theworld in a way that you could
never before, as you wereroaming along the edges of a
(02:00):
leaf and on the ground.
So the transformation wasnecessary.
And what's so interesting is Ihave some monarch caterpillars
in my backyard from a volunteermilkweed, from that original
milkweed which was just torn andripped out by someone who
didn't know the value.
And you know, sometimes thosekind of people leave destruction
(02:24):
in their path.
But the love note from God inthat was he's restoring, he's
renewing and he's redeeming.
Tiffany (02:32):
When you told me this
story this morning, the first
thing that came to mind is Mary,do you see the progress that
that represents, this new growthand something from nothing
coming up, and that's excellent.
Mary (02:48):
It's really neat to see
because the volunteering.
There has been nothing therefor years, I want to say five
years.
It's been a barren corner andOur plants here in California
don't seem to understand thatit's fall.
So the irises are blooming andthe kumquat is fruiting and the
Milkweed is growing and thecaterpillars are transforming.
(03:11):
They don't seem to understandit's not caterpillar season and
God is just laughing saying hedoesn't need a season, just
gonna bless beyond.
And then I have other volunteersthere that are sunflowers and
we had a family member pass awayunexpectedly years ago and it
was my sister-in-law's sister mysister-in-law as well, and she
was a precious woman named Mary.
(03:33):
My sister-in-law was justdistraught and lonely and sad
over what happened and God gaveher the gift of sunflowers.
That was Mary's favorite flowerand she had a backyard that was
just grass and empty gardenspace and she had so many
sunflowers.
So near my milkweed volunteer Ihave sunflower volunteers.
(03:53):
So I feel like that is like youcan't mistake this love.
Note you have to see that I'mhere with you with the milkweed,
here with you with thesunflower, and I'm here and
you're going to see me.
Tiffany (04:05):
For me, love notes
definitely show up in the birds
around me, no matter where Ilive.
I always put the hummingbirdfeeders out and they tell me, as
you know, they have a very softsound to them.
You can hear them speaking andthey will dart around and as
they get to know you better, youcan be standing right there and
they will just dash around.
(04:25):
Those mean a lot to me becausemy mom is the one who gave me
the love of hummingbirds and andshe always attracted dozens of
them wherever she hung herhummingbird feeders.
Mary (04:40):
And we just saw
hummingbird before we started
and you told me what Hummingbirdrepresents hummingbirds
represent joy, so they're joyful.
Tiffany (04:48):
Play as they fly around
is a reminder for us to be
joyful.
Vienna (04:56):
I used to live in an
area canyon actually that
experienced fires and probablyabout every three to five years
we would have a major fire andthere was a little hummingbird
that would come to the back doorand get fed all the time.
When the fires came, the smokewas super heavy, the sparks were
flying through the air.
I thought, oh gosh, probablylost that little guy.
(05:18):
But no, so tough.
He came back and he's likelooking in the window get, my
feet are back up there so gentle, sweet and very, very
resilient as well as joyful.
Tiffany (05:32):
All of these beautiful
qualities of God that God gives
us in our life that we need toremember.
One of the things, Vienna, thatyou were talking about earlier
is how we can so easily missthem.
If our mind is in such aclutter that we don't take a
moment to breathe and look atthose signs, it's so easy to
(05:53):
miss them.
The butterfly flying by, thesunflower that's sprouting up in
your garden, Mary.
It's important that, as we praydaily, that we ask that we
continue to see all of theselove notes that are brought to
us all day long.
Vienna (06:09):
I agree with that and I
think it's really true that you
have to be aware, like aware, not just walking around with
your head focused on whateverproblems and situations, your
job, circumstances of life butto really be present is
something you have to be mindfulof looking for those flowers,
looking for those birds, lookingat the clouds.
(06:30):
I was at a birthday last night.
A dear friend had her birthdayparty and the sky was beautiful
color of blue and there was onecloud and it was in the shape of
a heart and I was pointing itout to people and it was just
funny to me, because it's likeI'm always looking at the sky,
but I took a picture of itbecause it's the shape of a
(06:51):
heart is so cool, just by itself, nothing else around it and
just really beautiful moment, and got to share it with the
birthday girl.
Tiffany (07:00):
Mary, I just was
reminded of another love note.
Mary (07:04):
After church this morning
we went up to the front to
receive prayer from the prayerteam and I saw a gentleman walk
up and I'm like no, he's not theone.
And then Pat, she's this littlewhite-haired Grandmom and I
knew she was the right one and Iknew we had been needing the
prayer to cover this newendeavor.
(07:26):
Pat just had some reallyamazing love notes to share.
One of them was to have abackbone, to strengthen our
backbone in order to persevereand I've just been having back
pain for so many months and it'srelated it's all related to
unnecessary burdens andmisplaced guilt and shame and
(07:49):
not stepping in to the rightthings and also giving those
burdens up to God instead ofcarrying them.
That was one of my takeaways.
Tiffany (07:58):
Such an incredible
moment.
I will confess that Mary and Iwere both in tears.
It was so profound for mebecause Mary and I have been
holding this vision forPeriwinkle Pomegranate and for
In His Hands, and this was thefirst time that we asked for
prayer.
To see her eyes light up, Mary, when you explained to her,
(08:19):
because she said, well, what isit that you want prayer for?
And her eyes lit up and she wason fire in praying over us and
praying over this project, because the Lord keeps putting
on our heart that it keepsgrowing and growing and we keep
saying, but how?
And the Lord keeps saying notto worry.
She really helped remind me ofthat this morning and it was a
(08:44):
very powerful moment and thatthe success will come from God.
Mary (08:49):
We are agreeing with him
that there's a time for this and
that time is now and Pat's justconfirming that.
She's confirming with herprayer and her anointing.
And she was touching our headsand as if it was anointing oil
running down our heads and thosekind of things are just so
precious and it was a holy touchand confirmation that it's from
(09:13):
the Lord.
And she also pointed out theenemy will come against.
So no surprise there either.
Tiffany (09:19):
So that means we need
to put on our armor, and we've
been learning so much about thatand we know that we will pray
through this.
Mary (09:27):
And I just want to wrap up
with via con dios, go with God.
Tiffany (09:32):
Thank you, dear friends
and amen.
