Speaker 1 (00:07):
Welcome back to In
the Booth.
I'm Sean Booth and we have theone, the only Locks Booth,
making his first appearance onIn the Booth.
I'm actually feeding him rightnow.
Locks, do you want to sayanything?
And there he is and again upsetthat he doesn't have his milk.
(00:29):
There we go, we're back andthank you guys for tuning in.
Wherever you're tuning in fromMaybe you are listening in
Memphis, tennessee, today, maybeyou're listening in Fleetown,
delaware, or perhaps you're inHump Tulips, washington we
appreciate your support and ifyou're not listening, or if you
want to watch us actually andtune in, you can tune into
(00:49):
YouTube.
We've got all of our fullepisodes today.
We've got Dre in the building.
She's sitting behind the cameratoday she just worked out and
Locks was there helping us outat BC Gym.
A fun, jam-packed day here.
So happy Monday to you guys.
I'm excited to be with you guys, talk with you guys, and Locks
(01:09):
is thriving.
We've come to find out that hereally only gets fussy if he
doesn't eat.
This boy is eating like crazy.
I don't know what the normalamount that babies eat, but it
seems like he has to feed everytwo hours and if he goes two
(01:29):
hours in one minute he's goingto let you know.
But as soon as you get thatmilk in his mouth he's ready to
rock.
We've also noticed that lastweek he was a little more fussy,
probably the fustiest week he'shad, but he was doing a lot of
breastfeeding.
I guess when you breastfeed youdon't know exactly how much the
(01:52):
baby's getting.
It's kind of just feel I guessDre's back there shaking her
head, so maybe he'sclusterfeeding.
But when you pump you get theounces, you dial in the exact
amount.
Then you know exactly how muchthey're getting.
So that's kind of been theroute that we've been going with
this past week and he seems tobe a lot better.
That's a life hack, dad hack, for you right there, learning
(02:16):
all the tricks of the trade.
We got about one more ouncehere to go and then he should
just be chilling.
We're gonna start off with a funsegment called the Good, the
Bad and the Ugly the Good, theBad, the Ugly.
So we're gonna start off with afeel-good story.
Alright, start the week offpositive.
And our feel-good story of theweek is TCU Women's Basketball
(02:42):
Team.
Right, if you haven't heardabout this story, it's pretty
wild.
It is the plot for a movie TCUWomen's Basketball.
They're a really good, big 12team.
They actually won 14 games in arow and they were 14-0.
And then they had an injury totheir star center.
(03:03):
Right, their star center brokeher finger okay, which always
happens, right, you go throughinjuries.
10 days later their star pointguard tore her ACL.
Then the very next day theirother star player got hurt.
They lost four games in a rowafter they won their first 14.
(03:24):
They had to cancel some oftheir games, forfeit two of
their games.
So they put out open tryouts.
This is a Division 1 amazingprogram open tryouts on campus
for TCU to try and fill theirroster.
And did they fill the roster?
They ended up getting fourgirls come find out just walking
(03:46):
around campus superstarathletes in their high school.
And they ended up getting agirl from the volleyball team
and they ended up winning acouple games now.
So these girls were justhanging out on campus and got
the tryout, did great, and nowthey are winning at the Division
1 collegiate level.
I feel like that is very similarto Vince Papali in Vince-able.
(04:10):
If you've ever seen that moviewith Mark Wahlberg, a story
about a.
I think it was in the 70s or80s.
The Philadelphia Eaglesactually held open tryouts in
their city and this one guy, hometown kid, he ended up making
the roster and playing in thegames he used to go to.
Every single game sent in thosebleeds and then he went to
(04:31):
actually playing on that fieldthrough an open tryout walk on
situation.
So that's pretty dang cool.
Can't wait to see that Disneymovie.
And moving on to the bad I putthis as bad not getting into
politics right, we don't like totalk politics, not afraid to
talk politics, but it looks likewe got Joe Biden and Donald
(04:52):
Trump Brown too.
Oh boy, it's gonna happen, it'scoming.
We've dwindled down to two inthe Republican Party, I believe,
and all signs are pointingtowards Donald Trump being the
man from the Republican Party.
That's right and my thing is is,politics aside, issues aside,
(05:14):
how do we not have presidentialcandidates that are a little bit
younger?
All right, joe Biden is 81years old.
81 years old Joe Biden is.
Donald Trump is 77.
Ok, so how do we have somethingin place for our presidents?
(05:36):
We're the minimum age.
You have to be at least 35.
I feel like we need to putsomething in place to show that,
like hey, once you get past 65,you can't run for president
anymore.
I don't know if that's theright number, but I know you
start collecting Social Securityat 62.
Right, so you retired at 62.
(05:58):
Our presidential candidates are80.
Maybe we can put something inplace there.
I don't know.
It'd be nice to see a young, energetic candidate from both
sides Republican, democrat.
That's where I'm at with thebad and the ugly.
I guess this is actually reallyugly.
(06:18):
The kite controversy, which Iwas informed about after me and
Sam Kat talked last week aboutthe maternity leave here in the
United States.
Compared to all the othercountries, obviously we're
slacking, but I didn't realize.
There is an actual case goingon right now with the kite
(06:41):
company, which is a children'sclothing company, and, to give
you a little background here, anemployee at Kite Baby.
She was having a difficultjourney becoming a mother.
She had at least threemiscarriages and she and her
husband ultimately decided topursue adoption.
(07:01):
They had a baby throughadoption Locke's isn't excited
about it.
The mother and father wentthrough adoption.
They ended up having the babyand the baby was premature and
she was denied the request towork remotely.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
And.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
Dre was the one
telling me about the story.
Is that correct, Dre?
Speaker 2 (07:24):
Yeah, I don't think
she was given the same amount of
maternity leave as if she hadhad a baby physically.
That was the first problem.
Second is the baby was in theNICU in San Antonio.
She asked to go down there andwork remotely, while obviously
the baby gets stronger.
It was in the NICU so and theybasically she got on three
(07:47):
separate calls with her companyand they basically said, long
story short, if you're not backin a certain amount of weeks,
you're basically giving up yourjob.
And her sister was the one thatwent online and kind of blew
the story up.
And boy did it blow up.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
Yikes, that's pretty
rough.
So now they have the owner, who's been super apologetic.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
Well, she put out a
first video.
It was very scripted, it didn'tgo over very well and you could
tell she was reading and shewas kind of making excuses and
trying to explain.
And then the latest one thatthe owner of Kai Baby put out
was super panicked and basicallyfalling on the sword and saying
(08:29):
that they were disrespectfuland that she was right and I
think they offered her her jobback and she said no, obviously.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
Yeah, wow, that's
pretty wild.
That's a crazy situation.
Yeah, it's sad there's a lotmore stories like that out there
too.
Yeah, crazy.
And well, dre's back to workand now working remotely, which
is awesome.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
Yeah, I've got a
hybrid schedule.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
Hybrid schedule.
Here we go, so fabulous thatworks out big time for us.
And you're shooting content, putting together all types of
marketing materials for yourcompany, mm-hmm.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
Yeah, and the company
I work for.
They both have kids, so yeah,so they understand, they get it.
Speaker 1 (09:06):
They get it.
Oh cool, Well, we got Loxy heretoday.
You want to say anything, buddy, If you're watching on YouTube
he's got his head right in themicrophone.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
I don't know who's
been around that, Mike.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
Oh, and we just went
to the gym, we went to work out.
Dre is back working out as well, which she's been cleared by
her doctor and you were justsaying how much better you feel
walking out of the building, just being able to get a sweat
in.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
Mentally it is.
It does I mean you forget whenyou can't work out for a certain
amount of time, and what itdoes for your mental health?
It's crazy.
I felt like a new woman.
I had so much energy, feelhappy, the endorphins are
flowing.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
Yeah, absolutely.
You got any goals this year asfar as fitness, or you're just
trying to get you know?
Back in shape, not that you'renot in shape.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
I mean, I wasn't.
I don't want to call myself anathlete, but I was athletic, I
was gymnast for many years, andso I think I'm always used to
having a certain frame and beinga certain size, and you know
it's.
I've lost a significant amountof weight after having a baby.
It comes right off and then itkind of stops and it's up to you
to lose the rest of it.
So I don't want to put a number, I don't want to get back to a
number, but I just I want tofeel good, I want to feel more
(10:19):
confident again and I want to be.
I think feeding him has made merealize what goes in more than
I ever thought, like what goesin my body, and so I think I
want to dial in on my diet, forsure, a little bit more and
learn to cook a little more.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
Yeah, absolutely.
It's all about multitaskingwhen you got a baby at home, but
he's the best.
I like to smile and laugh.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
He's smiling.
Yeah, oh yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:45):
He's smiling.
He just started smiling lastweek, which is wild.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
I feel like it's
early.
I don't want to say he'sadvanced, yeah, so.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
I was like oh yeah,
that must be early.
Like he's super alert he must, must, be the most alert baby.
He's going to be the smartestbaby.
It's like every time you talkto a parent, they're like
they're really smart talkingabout their own kid and you're
like, yeah, we're a littlebiased.
We're going to be a littlebiased with this one.
Anyways, happy Monday.
You know what Monday means?
Monday means it's the bachelor.
We got the bachelor on tonight, right?
(11:13):
Bachelor Mondays Woo, I haven'twatched a season since my
season.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
Are you lying when
you say that?
Speaker 1 (11:23):
No, I haven't.
I haven't watched anything,maybe like you didn't even watch
the golden bachelor.
Speaker 2 (11:29):
Everybody watched the
golden bachelor.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
I should have.
I should have tuned into thegolden bachelor, because
everybody said it was great.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
Everybody said they
thought it was you and that you
look like him.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
I don't look like him
, but me and Samcat were talking
the other day.
Maybe we'll start doing somebachelor recaps in here,
potentially.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
Not a reality.
You don't watch any reality TV.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
No, not really, I
think.
Ever since I was on the show Istopped watching reality TV
because you kind of go throughit and you know what kind of
goes on behind the scenes and itmakes things a little different
, but I would love to talk aboutthat and talk about some behind
the scenes stuff.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
The big one right now
is Southern Charm.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
What is it?
Speaker 2 (12:07):
Southern Charm.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
What's Southern Charm
?
Speaker 2 (12:09):
The one about people
in Charleston.
Speaker 1 (12:12):
Okay, and what do
they do?
Speaker 2 (12:13):
I think they just
live in Charleston.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
Like in a house
together.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
No, it's just a group
of people that live in
Charleston.
This show has been on for along time, I think, but there's
a big.
You know, last year wasVanderpump Rules and that whole
thing.
Scandal went on, and nowthere's a little friend hooking
up with her friend.
You know.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
Southern.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
Charm so.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
Yeah, yeah, you gotta
have the drama and the hookups
and all that stuff for realityTV.
I feel like you watch all thatstuff.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
I've watched some
Southern Charm.
Vanderpump was my friends and Iused to watch Vanderpump when
we were in college, so and thenI stopped watching for a long
time and then, after the wholeScandal, all game, I mean
everybody was tuning in.
It was quality TV.
Speaker 1 (13:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
They don't make a
Jersey Shore anymore, though
they don't make TV like that.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
That was some of the
wildest.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
That was some of the
best.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
Yeah, back in the
wild west days, yeah, so I think
I could.
I'm at that point too where Icould sit back and just watch
and maybe.
Speaker 2 (13:17):
Those shows are, so.
The Bachelor is the onlyreality TV show.
That is what it is.
Other ones that people are intoare just people living in a
certain city.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
Yeah, and then it's
like the Housewives.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
Yeah, I've never seen
an episode of a Housewives show
.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
Okay, so I don't know
there is one of them that's
from my hometown in Winslow,connecticut.
She went to the same highschool as me, one of the big
ones, kim Zoliak, I believe.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
Oh yeah, I don't even
know who that is.
Speaker 1 (13:45):
Yeah, she's one of
the main ones there's actually
there are a couple girls at mygym who were just on this season
of the Bachelor.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
A couple.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
Yeah, oh, there was
two that came in.
Speaker 2 (13:55):
Two.
Speaker 1 (13:56):
Yeah so.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
Do they come to you
for advice?
Speaker 1 (14:00):
No, I went to them
and was like hey, I heard you're
on the.
Speaker 2 (14:03):
Bachelor.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
How are you feeling?
Like, what are your thoughtsright now?
You get nervous and it's justlike, yeah, you get that anxiety
of being on TV in front ofmillions of people and not
knowing what's going to happen.
Speaker 2 (14:16):
Yeah, but I don't
think there's as many eyes on it
as when you were on it.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
I don't know what the
ratings are like nowadays.
I don't know how many seasonsthey can go on for without like
changing up the format somehow.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
I mean, I think
that's what.
Is it, gary, or Jerry?
Speaker 1 (14:31):
Yeah, I don't know
Gary or Jerry.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
I think it's Gary.
Yeah, I think that's what Garywas supposed to do, oops.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
Yeah, and I wonder
what those ratings were like.
Speaker 2 (14:39):
Oh, yeah, do you want
me to come get him?
Speaker 1 (14:42):
Yeah, he's not a big
Bachelor fan.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
I feel like I'm going
to be judged so hard on this
podcast, like the moms would be,like you're holding them wrong.
Speaker 2 (14:50):
Support his neck.
Speaker 1 (14:51):
Support his neck.
Oh buddy, what do you think?
I promise, you guys.
Speaker 2 (14:55):
He's great.
That's what's crazy is also too, about babies is that you
realize that they are peoplewith preferences and feelings
and they like what they like, and it's all.
Every baby's different.
It's wild.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
Yeah, there we go you
can take them now.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
Okay, here.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
I come, here we go.
Oh, buddy, you all, mama Done, there we go.
Yeah, so me and Sam Cap mightstart doing some recaps of the
Bachelor.
I'd actually be very interestedto see what it feels like
sitting down and watching thewhole season.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
So you said that this
season ends like no season has
ever ended.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
Never before.
Wow, the most dramatic seasonin 28, 29 seasons.
Speaker 2 (15:39):
Most dramatic season
ever.
Speaker 1 (15:40):
I'm genuinely curious
how long the show will last for
.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
I think this season
is going to give you a different
storyline.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
Yeah, but it is good
that they switched it up a
little bit with Gary.
Now they have to do.
They get a woman from thatseason as the Bachelorette.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
You know that they
already got married.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
Really Well.
I mean, they don't got muchtime left.
Oh my God, so you got to startmoving things along quickly here
.
Speaker 2 (16:01):
No, they, and they
televised it, and you want to
know what else happened.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
Oh, I heard about
that.
They televised it.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
TikTok gives me so
much information.
They another couple fromParadise and I think the girls
from Nashville.
She models for another clothingboutique other part of the
story but she went on Paradise.
She was on a season and thenwent on Paradise.
That couple got engaged at thewedding.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
Okay, yeah, that
sounds about right.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
But Gary and Teresa
wasted no time.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
Yeah, those bachelor
weddings are very interesting.
Like I wouldn't want to do thatif I was, if I were ever on the
Bachelorette or a bachelor andI had been engaged, I would
probably say no to a bachelorwedding, I mean, unless they pay
a lot of money, which I don'tknow if they do or not.
Speaker 2 (16:53):
But they had to pay
you a lot of money.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
It takes away the
genuineness, the charm of it all
, of like a intimate weddingwith your friends and family,
because they put together theguest list.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
I believe have you
been to one that was telling us,
yeah, I've been to a couple.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
Okay, yeah, I mean a
couple, they're pretty.
I mean it was.
Yeah, you've got all, andespecially in the bachelor world
, you've got all people who'veall dated one another, because
it's a weird family like that.
Speaker 2 (17:26):
But I also feel like
it's weird because then people
are only invited because they'rein the franchise.
I'm like you don't really knowthat person.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
Well, exactly, you
invite, like the main people,
the people who are stillinvolved with the franchise, the
people that you may want to seeon TV.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
All dated each other.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
And they've all dated
each other, probably dated the
groom and the bride, and thenthe groom and the bride are
probably like I don't want thisperson here, except for Gary and
Teresa.
They probably had the time oftheir lives.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
They didn't know,
probably, many of those people
that were there, but then allthese people that were on
paradise and stuff at thatwedding.
I'm like you've never met Garyand Teresa.
I don't understand it.
I really don't.
So did Gary and Teresa evenmake the guest list?
Speaker 1 (18:13):
No, they probably had
their own guest list.
Speaker 2 (18:16):
And then it's just
Brandon from Paradise, yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
And they had their
guest list and they'll fly them
in, put them in the hotel, payfor everything they pay for
those people to be there.
Yeah, yeah, I don't know ifthey actually pay them.
I can't remember if we got paid.
Speaker 2 (18:34):
Oh no, I just meant
like pay.
Speaker 1 (18:36):
Yeah, they'll fly you
out, Of course.
Yeah, yeah, fly you out, putyou up all that stuff.
Then you do interviews whileyou're there.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
Would you have ever
been the bachelor?
Speaker 1 (18:46):
Would I have ever
been the bachelor?
Speaker 2 (18:50):
Were you ever asked
to be the bachelor?
Speaker 1 (18:52):
No, I was engaged.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
I meant after that.
Speaker 1 (18:55):
No, no, never was
Again.
Also, by that time, I'm oldnews.
Speaker 2 (19:05):
Okay, let's say you
would have come off.
You know, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, I don't know,
Would you have?
Speaker 1 (19:12):
I don't know, I don't
know, I don't know, I don't
know.
Crazy experience.
It'd be tough to figure outwhere your head's at.
But also it's like, yeah, mostpeople wouldn't turn that down.
Like, hey, I'm going to pay you.
Speaker 2 (19:27):
Yeah, because you get
paid for that.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
Yeah, you get paid
for sure.
All the bachelor, bachelor adskind of negotiate their price,
but it's always around like$100,000.
I think is what like fromsomewhere, from like the lower
end $70,000 to the high end like$150,000, I think, and they can
(19:57):
do that right.
Because a lot of people do itfor free.
You get to go meet all thesepeople on TV, get the notoriety,
get the fame, get the branddeals.
Well, the thing is, that's notit anymore.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
No one comes off that
show getting the fame, the
notoriety and the brand dealsanymore.
I mean back in your day no,they don't.
No, they don't.
That's like a thing that peopletalk about now.
People don't I mean people get.
They don't gain a followinganymore.
Speaker 1 (20:29):
I mean, what are
their followings at?
Speaker 2 (20:31):
I mean $100,000 maybe
no, yes, and people.
Speaker 1 (20:36):
I mean I have who was
the last bachelor?
Speaker 2 (20:39):
I have no clue.
Speaker 1 (20:41):
There's no way.
Speaker 2 (20:42):
John, I'm telling you
, it's not what people say, it's
not what it used to be, andthey but back in your day, when
you know, in the 2014, 2015 era,it was huge.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
The last bachelor was
so Joey.
And then I mean, I don't evenknow these names.
That's wild.
I mean like Shal Cross, is thatright?
Speaker 2 (21:09):
I have no idea.
Clayton Etchard Like well youknow, clayton Guy just went to a
controversy of some girl lyingsaying she he got her pregnant
with twins.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
Really.
Speaker 2 (21:20):
What.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
You didn't see any of
that.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
No, I don't see any
of this.
Oh TikTok, no, this girl.
And then it.
Wow, that's wild it came outthat it was not true.
It was this whole big thing.
Yeah, they don't get thatanymore.
And I think I saw one time inan interview of someone saying
that Clayton was told like comedo it, you'll get this, you'll
get that, and then he wasshocked to see that he doesn't
(21:44):
earn the money.
They don't earn the money thatthey think they're.
Speaker 1 (21:46):
How do they not get a
fall anymore?
Speaker 2 (21:48):
Because no people
don't watch the show anymore.
Speaker 1 (21:50):
Clayton the guy, the
last bachelor.
He's got 297,000 followers.
That's wild.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
It's not like it used
to be.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
Well then, the
ratings must be down.
Oh, of course, I don't know ifI should follow anymore.
Speaker 2 (22:03):
Well, old man Booth
is really off touch.
Speaker 1 (22:07):
I am 223,000
followers for the last bachelor
I'm telling you it's not what itused to be.
Wow, my mind is blown.
So then, what was the cut-offpoint?
When was like the last big name?
I guess Matt James, he was abig name, that was the last one.
He was only three seasons ago.
Speaker 2 (22:28):
That was more than
three seasons ago, Sean, because
there's bachelor ads in betweenthat you have to think about it
.
Speaker 1 (22:35):
Yeah, so then just
the recent years.
I wonder if that's the ChrisHarrison effect, because then it
would be.
Speaker 2 (22:40):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
Chris Harrison wasn't
here for those couple of last
seasons.
Wow.
What about the Bachelors,though?
Speaker 2 (22:49):
No same thing.
I don't even.
I couldn't even tell you whothe last Bachelor it was.
I think there was two recently.
Then they when they did two allthe way through, not like you
where they kicked one off.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
I know that's so
wrong, now right.
Speaker 2 (23:02):
You could never do
that now.
Speaker 1 (23:04):
All right, looks like
we've got to start talking
about it on here.
Bring the ratings back up, savethe franchise.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
Yeah, all right,
we'll see.
Let us know if you want to talkabout some Bachelor recaps.
Maybe you guys don't even watchit anymore.
What's another show you can dorecaps on that nobody's doing
recaps about?
Speaker 2 (23:21):
Well, I think people
want to hear the ones that
people are doing recaps about.
So Vanderpump season you knowthe Vanderpump scandal,
everybody in the universe knows,I heard about it.
Speaker 1 (23:32):
Yeah, I don't know
the details.
I know one of the guys.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
They were together
for nine years.
And then he ends up that he'ssleeping with another girl on
the show and it comes out thatthey had an affair like the
whole season and when you goback and watch the season she
was having conversations withthe girl.
It was wild and they weretogether for like nine years and
so that was last season.
So this new season that'scoming up, it's very highly
anticipated.
Speaker 1 (23:54):
I remember doing some
events with that guy.
Speaker 2 (23:57):
Oh, I'm saying of all
.
Speaker 1 (23:59):
Yeah, thanks.
Would you let Locke go onreality TV?
Speaker 2 (24:02):
Absolutely not.
Maybe like a fun fitnesscompetition show, but he's gonna
meet one nice lady and have onerelationship that's not with
his mama.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
That would be
fantastic, buddy.
I feel like that'd be a verystress-free life.
Speaker 2 (24:23):
No, he's not going on
reality TV.
Would you let your daughter?
Speaker 1 (24:26):
Yeah, I mean one of
my.
I'm gonna sit here and say no,you can't go on reality TV when
I For her mental health.
I would be able to prepare her.
I think for sure.
I try to.
Speaker 2 (24:39):
What do you think
social media is gonna be like
then, like when he's a teenager?
Speaker 1 (24:45):
I don't know.
I don't know what it's gonna belike.
I don't know if it's gonna be athing It'd be wild or cool to
see it go in the oppositedirection.
We start getting too, much ofanything, and then it kind of
shifts back.
Speaker 2 (24:57):
I mean, that's what I
mean.
You see that with I mean whatgirls are posting like the clean
girl aesthetic comes back inwhere the less of the makeup
they took away eyelashextensions they did all that
Like the natural look is very in.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
And it's gonna swing
another way.
Speaker 1 (25:16):
Yeah, I think it's
gonna get to a breaking point
where it's just too muchoverload and I do think that the
biggest drug problem in thecountry is a little drug called
attention.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
Ooh, you heard it
here.
First Put that on a T-shirt.
Speaker 1 (25:32):
That is the biggest
problem, the one thing I'll
never understand and you cannever convince me otherwise I
know what you're about to sayit's.
I do not understand how anybodyin their right mind can take a
photo or video of themselvescrying and then post it on the
(25:55):
internet for the world to see.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
I'm gonna be honest
when I'm crying and some of
these pictures that peopleposted, they're sobbing Quite
literally the last thing that Ithink about doing is taking a
selfie.
Speaker 1 (26:08):
Well, that's what I
am like the amount of steps that
you have to go through.
You have to.
You're crying over somethingbecause you're upset, I know.
And then, in that moment you'reso upset that it's making tears
come out of your body.
You think, hold on, let me getmy phone.
So you're still crying, you getyour phone, and then you put
the camera on, you turn thecamera towards your face.
(26:30):
You still got tears coming down.
And then you what?
You look off like as if it'slike a casual shot.
You're looking into thedistance or you look straight
into the lens and cry and snapphotos, and I always like
covering their mouth.
And then what, though?
Then you go, you obviously justdon't take one.
Oh no, no, you go to the cameraroll and you just roll through
you favorite.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
put it in Tessa.
Speaker 1 (26:50):
Yeah, your favorite
crying photo.
You then take that one, you puta filter on it, you open up
Instagram, you upload that photo, you put it on the screen, you
write a caption, you then hitpost and share to the world, and
not a single part of you, during that entire 14 step
(27:12):
process, might be thinking thisis probably not the best idea.
Speaker 2 (27:18):
I mean it's a lot of
steps.
Speaker 1 (27:21):
It's a lot of steps.
Speaker 2 (27:24):
You pick in the
favorite, putting it in Tessa,
exporting it.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
And then you are
clearly just like wanting people
to be like yeah, it's reallystarted.
Speaker 2 (27:34):
That's another thing
that the pendulum is starting to
swing the other way, wheremajority of people are like why
are you posting that?
What are you doing?
There are many other socialmedia trends right now that irk
you.
You're not a TikTok as much asI'm on TikTok.
Speaker 1 (27:51):
No, we have an
account for in the booth, but I
do scroll it sometimes for sure.
It's wild how the algorithmworks.
Speaker 2 (27:59):
I know it's crazy.
Yeah, what's on your algorithm?
Speaker 1 (28:03):
I don't know I can
pull it up right now.
Speaker 2 (28:05):
Do you want to pull
it up?
Speaker 1 (28:06):
I'll pull it up, I'm
confident.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
It says a lot about
you.
Let's see here Mine's all babystuff right now, because that's
all I liked for significantamount of time.
But you know, if you just watcha video for more than a certain
amount of seconds.
Yeah, it's insane, you don'teven have to interact with it.
I think the talent on TikTok,the level of comedy when singing
videos pop up, comedians pop up, people acting out skits pop up
(28:32):
, people are incredible.
Speaker 1 (28:34):
This is who's on my
feed, which is awesome because
I'm so glad he's back.
I think he's one of the bestcomedians out there.
It's Tosh.0.
He's got a podcast now he'sback?
Yeah, he's so good, he is sogood.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
That's quality TV.
Yeah, that was quality TV.
Speaker 1 (28:49):
He's funny, him.
And my new favorite podcast isNightcap with Shannon Sharp and
Chad Ochocinco.
Those two are the best duo inpodcasting right now.
Speaker 2 (29:05):
I haven't heard it.
Speaker 1 (29:05):
That's wild.
That's pretty dang funny.
So I got comedians.
There is an ad comedy, comedyad.
Speaker 2 (29:20):
I just think it's so
funny when some older men are
like can't get on TikTok orInstagram because just a bunch
of girls shaking their asses.
I'm like you know youralgorithm works to what you
interact with.
So that's what your algorithmis, buddy.
I wonder what the new socialmedia will be.
Oh, buh-buh.
Speaker 1 (29:39):
Yeah, we'll find out.
The locks are saying it's timeto get out of here.
You heard them.
We gotta leave.
We hope you guys have a greatMonday.
Thanks for tuning in.
Thanks for listening.
We'll see you next week.
Team on three locks.
Speaker 2 (29:55):
