Dread it, run from it…the tank arrives. The Flames are off to a historically bad start and, while it’s been tough to watch, it’s not necessarily the worst thing in the world. We’re breaking it down.

It's not a week into the season and we have already witnessed some classic Flames hockey. We're breaking down the opening three games including improbable comeback bitch slap of the Oilers (on the back of Dustin Wolf), a tire fire vs Vancouver, and the old 'getting goalied and beat by St.Louis' show.
Have a great week, boys.

The 2025-26 NHL season is upon us. Matvei Gridin and Zayne Parekh have made the big club BUT based on line rushes in practice we'll be seeing the formidable defender Jake Bean in lieu of the best blueline prospect in the league. Should be a fun year!

We're drudging through the worst time of year and, if not for Matvei Gridin's strong performance, we might not make it!
Can we get this show on the road?

Flames hockey is back. We're chatting about where best to slot Zayne Parekh, who should play with who, why preseason sucks, and some individual projections for season (we forgot Backlund and Coleman...oops).

We couldn't help ourselves but get into the McDavid drama, boys (we live for this!). Plus, as camp gets underway, Conny is keeping busy locking up Mikael Backlund to a two year extension that will keep the Flames captain in the city for at least the next three years.
We’re breaking down how important Backlund is the to the retooling Flames and how Conroy’’s top down leadership (hopefully) has the Flames on the right track. ...

Slow news this summer but we did get some clarity on the Rasmus Andersson situation from the man himself. Andersson spoke to the Swedish outlet Expressen on the happenings this summer and set some things straight.

Not much going on this summer boys, so today we’re reviewing and revisiting all the trades Craig Conroy has made since taking over as GM. Some look great, some not so great, but hey at least he’s not hovering in the Craig Button tier.
Let us know where you’d rank these moves in the comments!

Hey, boys. Not much is going on...despite all the insiders claiming we were in for a wild summer of trades. Anyways, we thought we'd jump on to shoot the breeze about what's going on with Rasmus Andersson, Nazem Kadri rumours, and what we saw at the Flames development camp.

Hey, folks. Today we were joined by a young phenom in the analytics world, Nick Iacoban from Watch the Stats. He is really plugged in to all things prospects and his model is an extremely useful tool for all things NHL draft related. Nick helped us break down the Flames performance at the draft this year and how they managed to extract a ton of value out of their selections.
Hope you enjoy.

The draft is just days away folks. Can the Flames move up? Will they trade Rasmus Andersson over the weekend? Is Connor Mcdavid going to cry all summer, ooops I mean, who are the Flames going to target with their first round picks?
We'll see what Conny is cooking up.

The nightmare continues as the greaseballs somehow blitzed the Panthers again to win in OT. We're still lamenting this never ending night mare. But the big Flames news of the week is that rookie sensation Dustin Wolf finished second in Calder Trophy voting. The league is officially on notice: Wolf is here to save the Flames.
Have a good week, buddies.
Go Panthers.
Hey, fellas. Flamesnation OG and all around great guy Kent Wilson jumped on with us today to discuss where the Flames are at, where they're going, and what pitfalls they need to avoid heading through this cycle of team building. We talk about 'culture', why the cohort method of team building is important, and why there is no 'Dallas model'.
