Hey, Hey, family! It's j Stone here with B, and today we've got something special that's stirring in 'In the Lounge'. Time for a check-up from the neck up as we explore the necessity of those oh-so-sweet woosa moments for our mental health. Don't you just crave a little peace of mind in this hustling world? Well, that's exactly what we're serving up, along with hot takes on the latest Hollywood squabbles and the return of cinema's beloved bad boys, Axel Foley and Mike Lowrey.

As Madam CJ Walker's legacy sparks today’s reflection on time, we get real about the difference a minute can make. We're not just watching the clock; we're talking punctuality, the richness of now, and trusting the divine flow of life's tempo. Have you ever wondered how faith and waiting on that perfect timing can turn things around? We got deep into the grit of life's delays, the faith that sustains us, and the power of our actions. Believe me, it's a conversation that'll have you cherishing every second with the people you love.

Wrapping things up, we're shining a light on compassion with our take on the tough realities faced by many in California, pondering the plight of those without a roof over their heads. Remember, family, the world spins back what we put out, and we're here to remind you to lead with kindness and move with intention. Tune in as we share stories that will lift your spirit, affirm your purpose, and just maybe, inspire you to forgive, grow, and unite in this journey we call life. It's not just a session; it's a heartfelt invitation to join us in the power of connection, right here 'In the Lounge'.

Then some things changed, so Idon't know when it's coming out,
but hopefully it's still gonnabe July 26th.
Now, that was yourentertainment and your movie
news.
Fact of the day we're gonna betalking about Madam CJ Walker.
December 23rd 1867 was herbirthday.

(07:03):
She was born Cerebreed Love.
She became the first self-madefemale millionaire.
How did she become that?
She became that by selling anddeveloping her own hair care
products and she did cosmeticsas well.
Yes, that's right, she didcosmetics.
So when you and your mirrorputting on your, your blush,

(07:25):
your eyelashes and everythingelse thanks you to Madam CJ
Walker.
And also, who she did it forwas the black community.
She went door to door helpingother black people get
themselves together, get them, get their look together and
everything.
So when you're in that chairgetting them weaves, getting
them braids, getting them thatyou that do and everything else

(07:48):
done, remember.
And also she had brothers andguess what her brothers are
doing?
They were barbers, so she hadthe whole gambit.
So, brothers, when you're inthat barbershop and they doing
them, fades out.
Thank you to CJ Walker and herbrothers.
Uh, what ladies, when y'allgetting them braids done and
them them do's and them wigs andeverything, and them hot curls
and them them bump curls orwhatever you else want to wash

(08:10):
and press or whatever else youwant to do.
Thank you to sit, Madam CJWalker.
Now remember back in the daywhen you had to go to church
that Sunday and your grandmother, your mother, had that hot curl
on a hot comb on a stove andshe told you to hold your ear
and you heard ah, yeah, and shewas like that ain't nothing that
ain't gonna burn.

(08:31):
Yeah, it is, but thank you toMadam CJ Walker for making us
look beautiful and luxurious, and she made millions off doing
that.
So thank you very much to, uh,sarah Breed Love, aka Madam CJ
Walker.
That is your Black History factof the day, and boys think it

(08:54):
was true that all they do is youboys.
Just don't come to your lifewith another edition of In the
Lounge of Stone and B.
I am so excited that youdecided to tune in to me.
Today's topic we'll be talkingabout time.
We'll be talking about a coupleof things in time God's timing
versus our timing versus whenyou pray.

(09:15):
When does it really come?
The reason I'm talking aboutthis is because I heard a story
today and it kind of got to me,not in a bad way, but in a good
way to make me do better as aperson with my time.
So how the story goes is likethis it's a billionaire young

(09:39):
billionaire, not young, olderbillionaire.
He has a apprentice, someonethat he's training to take his
position.
He told him to be at theairport at 645.
Yes, it's a private plane, butbe at the airport at 645 on time
my time, 645.

(10:00):
Don't be late, don't be early,be there 645.
Now the billionaire billionaire, sorry got there at 645.
They got the plane ready to go.
They said does anyone else wantto be on the plane?
He said yes.
He showed them in here already.
He told the pot, he told thestories.
She said do you have everythingyou need?

(10:22):
She said yes.
He said wait by that door.
When you see this mandisheveled and running up, all
sweaty and tired and everything, close the door.
He's about to learn a valuablelesson, a valuable lesson in
timing.
And she said are you sure?

(10:42):
He said I'm very sure.
Young man comes around 7o'clock, running, disheveled,
got his towel off and sweatingand running, and he got through
the doors of security and ledhim through and, next to you
know, she pushed that button.
He looked at him, he bowed hishead, he pushed that button and
took off, floated off.

(11:02):
The lesson was be on time, donot, do not, do not, do not, do
not, do not be late, for you areon other people's time.
Respect their time.
I say this to everything, I saythis to everyone God's timing

(11:25):
is not our timing.
So, if you've ever heard this,we pray and we ask and we pray
and we ask, and we pray and weask and we want it right then
and there, and it doesn't happen.
But you always hear this he maynot come when you want, but
he'll be there right on time.
That is a true statement.

(11:46):
God is not gonna.
God is not a magician that hecan bang well, he can if you
want to, but he doesn't do that.
He works in his own timing, heworks in his own ways.
God's timing is no near beingour assignment.
Peter 2, peter 3 and A says oneday, it's like 1,000 years to

(12:11):
God.
One day.
So you spent Monday that's athousand years to God like, wow,
that's crazy.
We, we, we, we, sometimes we,russell, I'm not gonna lie to
you, me and myself, I love mybed, I love to sleep and I love
to enjoy my rest.
You know, you understand, hey,you gotta be up at this time,

(12:35):
you gotta get up at that time.
You supposed to be there, be ontime.
Because now you'redisrespecting somebody, because
if you, if somebody is waitingon you, that means you're on
their time.
Now there's no more your time,it's on their time.
So you have to respect thepeople.
Time around you to time issomething you cannot get back.

(12:56):
Don't care how much you put out, don't care how little you put
out, don't care how much you putout.
You cannot say you know what?
I gave you an hour and 30minutes, I want it back.
No.
You can't go and say, man, youknow what?
I spent 10 hours here and 30minutes, give it to me no.
So this is why the job comes inand they give you money for

(13:17):
your time no, it's not all ofwhat your time is really worth,
but they do give you somethingfor your time.
But that time you would neverget back.
So I tell people, anytime thatyou go and do anything with
somebody, respect the time thatthey give you.

(13:39):
Someone is teaching yousomething.
Respect that time that theygive you, listen and learn,
because that's something you cannever get back.
I was reading a Bible and itsays in Colossians 4 and 5.
It says be, be wise in the wayyou act with those that are not
like believers.

(13:59):
Use your time wisely Tointeract with them.
That's another thing.
Whatever you do, use your timewisely.
We are here for a purpose.
I know a lot of things.
This podcast is is is a littlebit of everything we talk about
what's going on in the world.
We talk about what's going onin sports, we talk about what's

(14:21):
going on with me myself.
But today I felt that we neededthat.
That Jesus kicked in and it'sokay.
I and like I keep tellingpeople you don't like Jesus, hey
, you don't like me.
Today, only, I'm running Jesusand I'm loving it.
It's a Thing that that that isis a wonderful thing to know

(14:42):
that when you call the home, when you call on Jesus, he'll
say he'll listen to you, he'lllisten to you and he'll Every
prayer you have ever gave toJesus.
Go back and look at it andyou're gonna sit.
You're gonna sit and sit andthen look and say, well, he

(15:02):
didn't answer that one.
You can answer yourself.
Why did he answer it?
Did you need it or did you wantit?
Would you to take care of it?
If he gave to you, was it direstrength?
Me, see, god will give youeverything that you need and
then, on top of that, he willgive you the desires of your

(15:23):
heart.
Now the word of that says atthe end if you delight yourself
in him, that means you have tolove on him, be with him, talk
to him Every day, even though heknows everything you think
about, talk about your state anddo you still want you to have
that time with him and say, lord, father, right now?
But I ask you, help me talk andtalk to him.

(15:43):
Conversation I keep tellingeverybody Conversation is key,
no matter what you're doing life.
If you're talking a guy, youhave to have a conversation.
If you're in a relationship, you have to come to have a
conversation.
If you have a business thing, you have to have a conversation
with these people, have to talkto these people.
I have a friend right now thatis going through some things,

(16:04):
that he's in love.
He's in like really, reallydeep love, but he's shy and he
won't go and talk to the younglady.
I keep telling them, brother,if you talk to her, you will
understand everything.
If she likes you, if she don't,if she want a relationship with

(16:26):
you, if you don't, conversationhe Got signed.
Guys, time is precious.
God's time is no one near beingour time.
He may, he.
His time is quick, boom, boom, boom.
Our time sometimes drags us be.

(16:49):
When God tells you to gosomewhere, go somewhere.
When God tells you to dosomething, do it.
His time, our time.
When we are on other people'stime.
I keep saying it, I'm gonnastress this out from talking to
the young people respecteverybody's time.
A lot of young people don'twant to respect people's time
Because they think someone owesthem something.

(17:10):
No, no, we, I, no one, we'reall here from purpose.
Our job is to find that purpose, do that purpose and in that,
in that mean time, in that timewe're searching for that purpose
, be good to one another, bewonderful to one another, be

(17:32):
gracious to one another, loveone another.
This is the thing that we haveto do.
God himself will never leave us, nor, for sake, when we pray to
him.
We might not get that prayer,we might not get what we want
right there now, but keeppraying.

(17:53):
He keep asking, he fasted.
Keep believing, keep hoping itwill come.
Anything that's quickly game isquickly blown away.
But once you get it and youunderstand it and you know that
God gave it to you on, cherishedit, gonna love it.
Hmm, any companies, people gotout there, put God first in that

(18:16):
company, you'll go straight tothe top.
Anything in any in adventurous, make sure what you inventing,
whatever you inventing, put Godin.
Put God all the way.
In this podcast, huh, thispodcast is brought to you by
Jesus.
Who's my proof?
Who's my producer, my prom, mypromoter, jesus, you know, best

(18:37):
promoter ever in the world, howmuch did your boy, how much do
you give you to promote him?
Everything, life, youunderstand one thing, so I, I'm
thankful for that.
I'm thankful for who he is,what he's done and all that he's
done.

(18:57):
It says to take time andUnderstand yourself.
Hmm, now I'm gonna talk aboutto come to talk to you about
mental health and the timing ofthat.

(19:18):
We, as men, last November, inIn 2023, it was men's mental
health.
Not a lot of people knew that.
It wasn't advertised, it wasn'tpushed, it wasn't, it wasn't
done anywhere like that.
The reason I say this, becausea lot of men, you can ask the
man right now how do you feel?
Now I'm good, I think great.

(19:38):
Pray for your brothers, prayfor your friends.
Pray for your friends.
They can be going through astorm and would never tell you,
but you, you should be so linkedin with God and linked in with
them as friends that you knowsomething is going on.
The thing about is this we try,we deal with ourselves a lot.

(20:03):
We have to let ourselves gohere ourselves, the guy so we
can do what everybody elsearound.
The thing about it is we, aspeople, need each other.
We didn't need each other, wewouldn't be here, we would not
be here.
I Need you, you need me, weneed each other.

(20:23):
I need you to pray for me, notpray on me, but pray for me.
Wow, see the thing about it, we, we, we have to understand what
God has done down here.
God put people on earth forlove, for for family.
He is a together person andeverything.

(20:43):
And and the devil himself isfor destruction.
He is for division.
That's why so many divorcesaround.
You can sit down right now andtalk to a woman, talk to a man
who, who'd been together foryears and years to come, and
then say, saving together 40years.
Well, you hear on our news allthe time Uh, couple of them

(21:04):
together 40 years.
Now that divorce why?
Irrecordable, irrecordable,whatever, couldn't get it
together However, uh,irrecordable.
Well, y'all tell me the rightword.
So, but what happened?
Why have you ever really sitdown and talk to each other and
like, really, why are we?

(21:25):
Why are we really giving it up?
Is it the money?
Is it to you, so to speak?
Do you not love me.
Is it?
What is?
Somebody tell me something I Ihad to for myself.
So that one I would, you know, been every everybody.
If you didn't listen to thepodcast, you know about my
marriage and everything.
We finished my paperwork, mypaperwork, our paperwork of

(21:51):
Thursday, friday, somewherearound there, and, uh, once
again a lot of emotions came up.
You know, you've been with aperson 20, 30 years or whatever.
I'm gonna have you.
You're not just gonna be like, okay, I'm signing you the hello.
No, it's some emotions comingup, even though you know that

(22:11):
you and her are done.
You, you know you and her aredone.
You know it's not going to comethrough or whatever.
The timing.
That's once again that timing.
That timing is critical because, because how she feels is not
how you felt, or how she feelsis not how she felt, and no one

(22:33):
wants to talk that Communication.
No one wants to tell somebodyhow they really feel.
Everyone wants to hide somebodybehind something and not tell
the truth, or or or or someone'sfeelings man, people, ladies,
boys, girls, young ladies, youngmen, whoever's out here
listening to me, if you are in arelationship with a person, sit

(22:55):
them down and talk to them.
Let them know how you feel andwhat you feel, and if that
person is not responsive to whatyou listen, what you, what you
hear, your feelings, they don'tneed to be around you Because
it's time out for having tofight every time, all this, all

(23:16):
this fighting, all this arguing, all this, guys, we, we're not
gonna agree, but we can agree todisagree and honestly, honestly
, honestly.
When you fight you supposed toor not, I want to say fight, I
will say argue.
When you argue, you don't flip, lay down and be angry with the

(23:39):
first.
What about you don't wake upThen what?
Then another person is feelingsad, bumble and all messed up.
How about getting this stufftogether out in the open,
letting it all go and say, hey, this is how I feel, this is why
I feel like this, let's talkabout it, okay then.
Well, you feel like thisbecause it is this why I feel,

(23:59):
because it is Okay now, mean youdon't got this out in open.
How about this?
How about let's come to aconclusion so this won't happen
again?
I Just gave you marriage 101boom.
Conversation is key.
Love is key, that timing thatyou have with each other.

(24:22):
Cherish that.
If you got some kids, cherishthat time you got with them when
they one and two and three andten up your house and saying Jai
, jai, go, go.
Or a crapping everywhere, throwing up everywhere if they
sick, or spitting bottles onbottles.
Cherish that time, Because whenyou turn back around at 10, you

(24:45):
turn back around at 15screaming mom, you must in my
life, oh, my god, you know.
Or you turn back around it.
They encourage someone.
You say, wow, where's it?
The time go?
The Bible says cherish the time, cherish it.
God gives us time to do things.

(25:06):
It is rushed, or do we rush it?
Have you ever seen somebody?
Always in a hurry?
Oh, what are you experiencingin a rush?
Nothing.
What are you experiencing?
Have you seen a flower?
Have you see how you smell theflower?

(25:26):
Have you smell some coffeebrewing?
Have you seen a sunset?
No, or rise, I'm just talking.
I'm just talking.
I'm letting, I'm getting thingsright now off my chest and also
I'm pushing some things outthat that I really would like to

(25:48):
happen.
Um, san Francisco and theTennessee chief.
We cut your hands to Tennessee.
You know I miss San Francisco, but had I cut my hands and said
Tennessee, you did a good job, good work, good working home,

(26:11):
good work, good work, good work.
Now, my whole thing is this isand once again to Kevin, see, I
Deeply, deeply, deeply, from thebottom of my heart, I'm sorry
of what happened at your parade.
It should never have happened.
That was a time to celebrate,to Once again a time to

(26:37):
celebrate, a time that is Joyous, a time of love, a time of
saying, hey, yeah, we did it, wedid it, we brought this back to
our city Something's good.
Someone had to have their ownagenda.
To the family that lost theloved one, my condolences also.

(27:03):
It is a sad day when you can'teven go to a parade and be safe.
Ladies and gentlemen, boys andgirls, everybody in the world,
we are here together.
You're not here to hurt.
We have to love each other.
We have to help each other.

(27:23):
We're here to Be together.
We have a time on this earth.
Why make it hard on each other?
Why not make it easy?
Why not my, my looks?
I look at um, I'm in Californiaand I look at the homeless on

(27:48):
the street and I see so manyempty buildings and so many
places that they can go and Iknow I don't know how much money
the city is getting for theirhomeless, the homeless relief,
to help them.
But I believe that some way, somehow, that you can get these

(28:08):
people off the street, you canget these people Help.
Or you can get these people notjust a shirt or a A meal and
the thing about for Thanksgiving, christmas, the New Year, they
can eat all day long.
What happens to the rest of theday, like, and some people out
there that is homeless, that'snot on drugs, they just have a

(28:32):
bad break in life.
It happens.
Some of us right now one checkaway from being homeless.
Think about it.
You're one check that, checkedthat didn't come.
That blame a little knocking onchildren.
Hey, man, can I have my moneyand a rent out here?
It's crazy, but you know it's,it's, it's something that we

(28:57):
have to do.
We got to help each other.
You got to help each other.
You know it was a, it was along time ago, the song we tried
and touch someone.
Hey, make this world a betterplace if you can.
If you can, if you can, if youknow what to do, if you see
someone in me, help, trust me,you'll feel better and, believe

(29:22):
it or not, believe it or not, itcomes back around.
It comes back around If yougive some money or somewhere, it
comes back around.
I was listening to a RichieRich.
He's a rapper and I know prettygood rapper.
I like him.
What's crazy about it was hesaid that this life thing is

(29:43):
nothing but a mirror.
So that means whatever you aredoing.
So if you want more money, givemore money, it comes back.
If you want to help, give help,it comes back.
If you want love, give love, itcomes back.
Whatever you do, whatever thegood things you want, do the
good things.

(30:03):
All good things will come backto you.
And that is true.
I have seen it.
I have seen great things thatthat I said oh man, I did that a
month ago and this is theresult of it.
I want to allow people to do somuch great things in your life.
All you got to do is open up,pray to them, pray to them, and

(30:25):
it's not one of them.
Oh, you got happy big birds.
Some people say I don't knowhow to pray if you're not
talking on pray Father right now, the name of Jesus Christ.
But I ask you to help me.
Help me in this situation.
Whatever situation is, let himknow it, lord, and tell them
what you want out of thissituation.
The Bible says Write it andmake it plain so he can

(30:51):
understand.
Write it and make it plain.
Things that you want in life, goals that you have in life,
right about right amount, putthem out.
Make it plain to pray on it,fast on it.
Ask God to do it, believe in itand believe in yourself because
God believes it.
It's so much out in the worldthat God has for you, me and

(31:17):
everybody else that's listenedto me Go get it.
Go get it, go get it.
Go get it, go get it.
Don't let nobody stop you, goget it.
God is with you.
Go get it.
He is with you.
Go get it.
Ah, his timing.
His timing is wonderful BecauseGod gives it right when you

(31:41):
write on the date, right on time, at the peak that it's up.
Okay, oh, I need a thousanddollars.
Boom, how you get.
I don't know how I got in myaccount, but it's there, thank
God, you know.
Say God loves us so much.
God, look, he gave his son.

(32:02):
I did a.
I was a church once and I, thepreacher, was just preaching,
going on, going on, going on,and what caught me was this he
said God so loved the world thathe gave his only begotten son.
He said do you love God goodenough to give us something for

(32:25):
him?
Give us your life, give thesmoke and give us your drink and
give your horn.
Give up everything that's notlike God, or or or or there for
God, or going to help you.
It's a wonderful thing and andI Never want you to think that,

(32:45):
hey, well, he's speaking, jesus,so he's going to be the best of
the best of the best.
He don't make no mistakes.
I'm human.
I'm human.
That means I'm gonna make mesay, I probably make me say,
before I get up just off thisthing, so this is what I say to
people and I'm gonna put putI've seen somebody showed the

(33:08):
inside of TDJ church now, sinceEverything that has happened,
everything that has happened, and it was kind of bear, like
really really bear, and I hearthis saying so long, the same
people that put you on apedestal Will be the same people
that have put you in thebasement.

(33:29):
So Let God raise you up.
Let God raise you up.
I'm not gonna speak on what.
What was said about?
Well, about mr Jakes, becausehe's still a man of God.
We don't talk about that.
We don't do that.
We let God deal with him.

(33:49):
He just he's still a man of Godwho prays for our people,
because once again, he's human.
Yes, he's a.
He's a man of God.
Yes, he makes mistakes.
Yes.
Why he does that?
Because he is because he becamea pastor or bishop or an elder

(34:13):
or whatever he is in the churchDoes not mean, once he said I'm
gonna take the office, beingperfect fell upon him.
No, it don't work like that.
It don't work like that.
The devil is knocking in thedoor 10 times more than knocking
at yours, and I know we allhope so.
What I'm saying about that isthis if you see him or if you

(34:37):
hear anything about him, don'tget into it.
Let God deal with it and walkaway.
If you're gonna get into it,pray about it.
That's how we get to it.
Pray about it.
Ask God for how to pray for him.
I got to lift him up.
So this is this is what I say.

(35:02):
I've been, I've been, I've beenwanting to do a story on TV day
, and Every time I get the thingwith the paperwork and
everything, word.
God has said that's my child.
Don't do it, don't do it.
So guess what you think?
I didn't listen.
Don't do it.
I ripped it right on up.
I Ripped it up and it cuz it's.
It's that I understand it.

(35:23):
I understand, now more thanever, that's God's child, that,
hey, you might have a mistake, that's his kid, let him spank
him.
What am I thinking?
Somebody else kids one.
But I need you, that's right.
Don't need to do that.
God knows, and God can do waybetter than I can.
God knows, everything wouldhave happened when it happened

(35:47):
how it happened.
So To the jakes, I'm prayingfor you.
I love you, love you.
