On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we shared the story of a man who since the day of his salvation has been passionate about sharing the hope of the Gospel with any and everyone he can. He explained his passion for evangelism, developing a heart for the lost and why prayer and dependance upon the guidance of the Holy Spirit is crucial to opening the door to share God’s message of eternal hope.  Over the last few years traditional family values and the quality of our military have been sorely under attack. And even though we are beginning to see some significant changes they are not coming without challenge. Janet’s daughter who is on the front lines of these important issues explained what the Supreme Court’s recent ruling on transgenders in the military will be for our forces going forward and whether or not the U.S. Department of Education will really close as the President has promised. Our guest turned the lives of 5 ordinary people who walked faithfully with God throughout the ups and downs of their lives, as a teaching template to help us understand what it means live out the Christian faith even when the road before you is uncertain, the journey seems too hard or God’s hand is not immediately evident.  Using stories from the lives of these five people, including a civil rights pioneer, a respected theologian and a beloved children’s television personality, our guest teaches us what daily dependance and obedience really look like in the life of the believer. Despite all the negative press, attacks from inside and outside its borders and vitriolic rhetoric and hate around the world, the nation of Israel and its people have an eternal destiny determined by God that nothing and no one can change. We turned to a respected teacher of Jewish history for a better understanding of why this land and her people are so important to God’s prophetic design and why the Church must continue to stand against the ongoing hatred of His chosen people. It’s time once again to put the news of the week on trial and measure it against the unvarnished truth of God’s word.

S1 (00:00):
Hi friend, thanks so much for downloading this broadcast and
it is my hope that you'll hear something that will
challenge you, grow you up in him, and get you
out into the marketplace of ideas. But before you start listening,
let me take a moment and tell you what this
month's truth tool is. It's the Mediterranean Sea Rules by
Robert Morgan. I talked to him often on the air
because he's such a superb writer, and in this particular book,
he takes the story of Paul's shipwreck, recorded in the

(00:20):
book of acts, and gives us ten principles of how
we push through the storm, learning to trust in God
and all that he has done for us. It's a
magnificent book. It's a short book, and in typical Robert
Morgan writing style, it is a powerful book. I strongly
recommend that you have a copy of The Mediterranean Sea Rules,
because trust me, every single one of us will find

(00:40):
ourselves on stormy seas at some point in our voyage
through life. As for your copy of the Mediterranean Sea
Rules by calling 877 Janet 58. That's 877 Janet 58.
Or go online to. In the market with Janet Parshall.
Scroll to the bottom of the page. There's the book.
Click it on, make Your Gift and we'll send you
a copy. My way of saying thank you because we
are listener supported radio. Your gifts keep this broadcast on

(01:03):
the air. By the way, if you'd like to give regularly,
you're called a partial partner. You give every single month
a level of your own choosing. You always get the
truth tool. But in addition, I'll send out a weekly
newsletter that only my partial partners get. It contains my
writing and a little audio piece as well. So pray
about it and thanks in advance. Just call 877 Janet
58 or online at In the Market with Janet Parshall.

(01:25):
Again the truth tool the Mediterranean Sea rules. Thanks so much.
And now please enjoy the broadcast.

S2 (01:35):
Welcome to In the Market with Janet Parshall. Today's program
is where Janet and her husband, Craig, take some of
the stories making headlines this week and offer their insight
and analysis. Before they get started, let's take a quick
look back at some of the highlights from the week.

S3 (01:54):
Most schools the faculty have a radical Left attitude. Now,
I don't want to blame the left for anti-Semitism. I
want to blame the extremes of both political views. The
extreme right. The extreme left. Are they are they kind
of meet one place, and that's with hatred of Israel
and the Jewish people, which is horrific. However, because the

(02:19):
radical left dominates the college campus, that's why I think
we see faculty getting involved in, in some of these
illegal and inappropriate for faculty members, uh, protests against Israel.

S4 (02:32):
This is how real and pressing the issue is, because
it made it all the way to the Supreme Court,
which heard oral arguments in the case last year. And
this is where American parents find themselves. Must I if
I send my kid to public school and I cannot
homeschool or send them to private school, must I relinquish
any control over what they learn in public education and

(02:56):
the worldview that I am trying to instill in my
minor child's life. The answer to that, I think, is
very clearly no.

S5 (03:04):
Somebody who is so filled up with the love of
God that they can't help poured out on others. Fred
spent so much, he accomplished more than any of us
will ever dream. And yet he spent more time with
his Heavenly Father than most of us ever dare. Why?
Because he deeply understood that his work was ministry, that
he was part of the royal priesthood. As Peter says,

(03:28):
all of us are called to, and he let that
faith infuse his work in radical ways, on and off camera,
for more than 30 years.

S6 (03:37):
We also have the other side of the coin that
warnings of hell. You know, revelation 20, verse 15, if
someone's name was not found written in the book of life.
They're not going to go to heaven. They're not going
to go through the narrow gate and they'll end up
in hell. You know, so we need to have a
passion to share our faith. If we had a cure

(03:59):
for cancer and we didn't tell somebody that, we would
be considered selfish. When we have the greatest news to
change somebody's default destination from From hell to heaven.

S2 (04:12):
To hear the full interviews from any of those guests,
go to In the Market with Janet Parshall and click
on past programs. Here's some other stories making headlines this week.

S7 (04:23):
Air travelers from the U.S. must now be their real
ID self. As of Wednesday, the TSA will no longer
accept state issued identifications that are not real ID compliant.

S8 (04:35):
Shares of Expedia fell as much as 12% Friday morning,
after the online travel booking platform posted quarterly revenue that
missed analysts estimates.

S9 (04:45):
The Trump administration signs its first trade deal with Britain,
but does that mean more will follow?

S10 (04:51):
Ford has hiked prices on three models made in Mexico,
making it one of the first major automakers to act
following Donald Trump's imposition of sweeping global tariffs.

S2 (05:03):
Janet and Craig have lots to share, and they'll put
the first story on the table when we return. To
get more information or to download the podcast of any
of the interviews, go to in the market with Janet Parshall.

S1 (05:26):
Are you going through a storm right now? Do you
feel lost at sea? That's why I've chosen the Mediterranean
Sea Rules as this month's truth tool, Robert Morgan reveals
principles that will help you navigate rough waters. Learn how
God is always with you through the storm. As for
your copy of the Mediterranean Sea Rules, when you give
a gift of any amount to in the market, call
877 Janet 58. That's 877 Janet 58 or go online

(05:47):
to in the market with Janet Parshall. Happy Friday to
you friends. So glad you're going to spend the hour
with me and Craig. This is I think I'll rename
it in the market with Janet and Craig partial because
on Friday's, what Craig and I do is we do
our homework, we come together, we got a stack of
issues on the table, and we discuss what's being talked
about in the marketplace of ideas. Now, it'd be great

(06:09):
if everything that was talked about in the marketplace of
ideas was good and right and true and upright and honest,
but it's not. And so that's why the Scripture tells
us over and over again, get wisdom. Be wise as
a serpent, innocent as a dove, get wisdom. In fact,
that's such an important thing. I hope we're praying for it,
you and I, every single day. But also out into
that mess that is the marketplace of ideas is exactly

(06:31):
where God called us to go. I know, I know,
I don't get it. I'd rather stay home. My comfort zone.
Put my fuzzy slippers on, I get it. But if
we do that, we're just abjectly disobedient because we're told
to go. We're supposed to go and tell. And honestly,
if the message of the gospel is anything other than
fire in your bones, you got to ask yourself why?
Because I don't know how you can keep this good

(06:52):
news to yourself. It just overflows out of us that
Jesus is exactly who he said he was the way,
the truth, the life. And nobody comes to the father
but by him. He is the only name under heaven
whereby men will be saved. And so we can't keep
that good news to ourselves, a because it is good, right? True.
And applies to every person and every time and every place.
But number two, we should have a love for the lost.

(07:14):
Those who don't yet know Christ as their personal Savior.
How can they know unless somebody tells them? We read
in the book of acts. So put on your thinking cap.
Put on your glasses. Those are the lens of Scripture.
Keep that Bible in one hand, the newspaper and the other,
and let's roll up our sleeves and get to work.
We've talked about this before, and let me just preface this,
because this is one of those where it'd be real
easy for you and me to step back and tremble,

(07:35):
and I'm not going to do that. I'll tell you why.
Because greater is he that is in us than he
that is in the world. So let me go back
to the basics again. When all else fails, read the instructions.
So God creates three primary institutions in this order. Family.
Where does he make it? In the garden. Government. And
then the church in that order. God has oversight over

(07:57):
all three of those areas. He puts his people in
all three of those areas. But if you are the
prince of this earth, if you are the great deceiver,
the liar, and you wanted to mess up God's plan
as if he had the authority and the power to
do that, I laugh in his face. You would go
after the family and oh boy, is that where we're
seeing a battle right now. So you go to Eden.
You see this definition of marriage by God himself. Marriage

(08:19):
wasn't man's idea. It was God's idea. Male and female,
he created them both. Sorry they didn't look at God
and say, ah, I think I'm trapped in the wrong body.
They said nope. And then they were told to tend
and they were to increase and multiply. And you can
have everything and anything you want. Just don't touch that tree.
And what do we do in our sinful rebellion? We
head right to that tree and we eat of the fruit.

(08:40):
And then by man came death. The Bible says, and
uh oh, what happens then? Well, the Bible says the
wages of sin is death, but the story doesn't end
before the. But thank you, Lord, the gift of God
is eternal life. How do we get that eternal life
through Jesus Christ, you and I. Guilty as charged. Jesus,
who is totally God. God incarnate. He didn't discover he

(09:01):
was God one day. Craig and I go into secular
bookstores and we just kind of give each other that.
We've been married a long time, look to each other,
and it's like, oh, brother, the poor, lost secularist writing
a book. How Jesus discovered he was the Messiah. Well,
I think he kind of knew that from the get go.
And the Word of God tells us that in the
beginning was the word, and the word was God, and
the word was with God. Any questions? Thank you, Your Honor.

(09:21):
Moving on. And so Jesus steps in fully God, fully man,
and he takes upon our sins. Can you comprehend that?
I can't, I'm guilty as charged. I sin every day.
I try not to. I've got that Pauline wrestling going
on inside my life all the time. I try to
do the right things. I don't do the things I
want to do, I can't do. And I struggle back
and forth between the spirit and the flesh, as do
we all. And I'm so thankful that God said, my

(09:44):
son paid it all for you. That's how much he
loved you. And so he stretched out his arms. He said,
it is finished, and the once and for all sacrifice
was made. The atonement for our sins was paid. Thank
you God. And then the story doesn't end there. Oh,
I love the way the story keeps going. Oh, yeah.
I've been there, I've been there, I've seen it. Tomb.
I don't know if it's his or not, but I'll
tell you what. It's very close to it. It's right
outside the city, not far from Calvary or Golgotha. And

(10:06):
guess what? He was a very, very typical tomb of
the days. And the stone was rolled. Thank you, Joseph Evanthia,
of donating your tomb. And the angels are guarding it.
The Roman guards are there. They fall asleep. The angels
are there. Oh, a woman comes in and goes, wha
wha what? And then someone says to her, why are
you looking for him among the dead? And there she is,

(10:27):
the first person to be able to run back and
tell people that Jesus is alive. And now you and
I get to do the same thing forever and ever
and ever. Now, I tell you that because the family
is under attack and some pretty horrific. Oh no, I'll
use a different word in some pretty demonic ways. I
give you the Kelly loving act in Colorado. This is unconscionable.
Let me turn to the local NBC affiliate in Colorado. There,

(10:48):
it's Koaa News5. I'll get them to tell you the story.
Craig and I will fill in the blanks. And, oh, boy,
we got a lot to talk about. Have a listen.

S11 (10:56):
The Kelly loving act passed late last night with amendments.
The Senate spent seven hours discussing the bill Monday night.
And then another hour yesterday. The House, they debated it
for another two hours last night. During that debate was
cut off by the majority leader, who used House rule 16.
The bill was named after loving a transgender woman killed
in the club Q shooting here in Colorado Springs. It

(11:19):
would make deadnaming and misgendering discriminatory acts. It would also
require schools to allow students to choose their own names
and choose what dress code they want to follow. Supporters
believe this will help protect transgender students, while opponents believe
this is infringing on the rights of parents.

S12 (11:35):
We must not allow government to intrude into and fracture
the trust between parents and children.

S13 (11:46):
I hope this bill gets signed into law So that
you can see. That the world ain't going to fall apart.

S11 (11:57):
Now the bill is heavily amended. Lawmakers got rid of
language tied to family courts after legal concerns. All Republicans
voted against the bill in the Senate. Two Democrats, including
Mark Snyder, who represents El Paso and Teller counties, and
Kyle Mullica, also voted against it.

S1 (12:12):
That's because some people saw common sense in that party alliance.
I want you to hear, though, from one Colorado senator.
He was on the floor. Interesting how Jesus always works
his way into this conversation, even in the halls of government.

S12 (12:23):
Listen, this.

S14 (12:24):
Email we're going to end it here says, basically, I'm
accountable to almighty God because I'm standing up for equality,
that my decisions one day I will stand before him

(12:46):
and be accountable. Well, this is what I believe. You
ever seen that movie Talladega Nights? And you see the
section where they're talking around the dinner table and they're
talking about what their favorite version of Jesus is. All right,
baby Jesus. I love baby Jesus. And the guy goes, well,

(13:06):
I love Lynyrd Skynyrd. Jesus. When angels are behind him
and the choir is singing and he's playing Freebird. Well,
my day of judgment, I. I might be standing in
front of trans Jesus, I don't know.

S1 (13:19):
Well, you'll be standing in front of Jesus, as will
we all. And I guarantee you, he is not trans. Wow, Craig.
Blasphemy out of the mouth of this Colorado State Senator.
And it tells me that if he thinks he might
be standing in front of a trans Jesus, he doesn't
have a clue who Jesus is.

S15 (13:33):
Yeah, that's really the starting point. Is, uh, who is Jesus?
I mean, that's the if somebody were to ask me,
what is the ultimate question that of all the questions
in the world, which one do you think is the
most important one? And there are a lot of them Political. Philosophical, sociological. Psychological.

(13:55):
Right now, the most important question I think anybody can
face and then try to answer. And by the way,
there is an answer and we'll talk about where you
can find that, because it's very easy. But the best
and the most important question to ask is who is
this Jesus? And he is not the Jesus that we
just heard from this individual. And the way you can

(14:17):
test that is by going to the word gods left
the word for us. And that's the best record of all.

S1 (14:25):
All right. So let me give you an update on
this bill. The bill actually got signed into law by
the Colorado governor, Jared Polis, on Wednesday. It is now
forcing taxpayers to fund abortion. Uh, and now that bill
that classifies the refusal to use a transgender identifying person's
preferred name as discrimination is heading to his desk for

(14:45):
signature as well. House Bill 25 1312. Again, the Kelly
loving act. This was a person who identified as a
woman there. A man received final Senate approval on Tuesday,
the vote 20 to 14. You heard that before. Two
Democrats voting with the Republicans. Otherwise, all the Republicans voted
the same way it designates intentional deadnaming. We got to

(15:07):
make language up because when you're you know, Lewis Carroll
talked about this. Jabberwocky is the language that the characters talk.
Some of the characters use in Alice in Wonderland. It's
made up meaningless gobbledygook language. Jabberwocky is just a perfect
word for it. There's a lot of Jabberwocky with this conversation,
by the way, so they make up words. Deadnaming okay sounds.
Who knows what that means? You know what it means

(15:27):
to the people who are the activists. It means that
if you named your son Tom and Tom struggles with
mental illness and decides that Tom now thinks he's trapped
in the wrong body and he wants to be Sue
if you call him Tom instead of Sue, you are
guilty of, quote, Deadnaming and that now in the state
of Colorado, once that pen goes to paper and the
governor will sign it into law if he hasn't done

(15:48):
it already. That is a discriminatory act. And Colorado is
a particularly hostile state to Da. I give you Jack
Phillips and Master Pete Cakes. How many times can they
take him up to the United States Supreme Court? Uh,
or misgendering and what that means, and that's pretty self-explanatory,
is if Tommy says now he's a girl, you better
use she he whatever she her as the pronouns and

(16:10):
not he him. Then you've misgendered. Uh, this is this
is now completely in the culture at large. And so
that's part of the problem. Additionally, it requires that school
policies on chosen names to be inclusive of all reasons
a student might use a different name and permit students
to allow any dress code variation, regardless of gender. Mayhem

(16:31):
in the classroom. And you wonder why people want private schools,
charter school, private religious schools, etc. so Tommy comes to school.
Tommy decides to put a dress on. Tommy's got it
now and this becomes the law of the land in Colorado. Tommy,
take the balloon out. Put the dress on instead. So,
according to the bill's text, a chosen name refers to
a name someone wants to be known by. Related to disability, race, Creed. Color. Religion. Sex.

(16:52):
Sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, familial status,
national origin, or ancestry, so long as the name does
not contain offensive language and the individual's is not required.
Requesting the name for frivolous purposes. Oh, there's a whole
lot more to this now, by the way, if you think,
and I have dear, precious listeners in the state of Colorado,
our prayers go out to you. If you think this
is relegated to just one of the 50 states. Oh, no,

(17:14):
no no no. These juggernauts get in one state. They
test the waters, they go to another state. Wait, what
do I hear? Oh, yeah, that's the sound of the trumpet.
I think it's right. Nehemiah said. What? Fight for your
families back after this. We've been talking about this bill
in Colorado, and sadly, it has passed. Although not surprisingly,

(17:37):
I'm very thankful that there were some who decided that
this wasn't about party allegiance, it was about principle. But
now the governor got the bill it passed on Wednesday.
So the governor either has already signed it or he'll
sign it quickly because he's an advocate of these sorts
of things. And I have to tell you that I'm very,
very grateful if you can find any beauty among the
ashes on this. It's the fact that at one point

(17:59):
in time, when this thing was originally introduced on the
House side, there actually was a component in the legislation
that if Mom or dad missed named Deadnamed or misgendered
their child, they could lose their child. The custody of
that child could be taken away, mom and dad could
face fines. They could face jail time. I mean, you
talk about a hitlerian approach to parent. You talk about

(18:20):
being a wedge between a parent and a child. Thanks
be to God that got removed. I think cooler heads
prevailed and said, ah, you're probably going to have some
legal challenges on this. So that part of it got
taken away and that's a good thing. But the bottom
line is, is there still egregious problems with this bill?
If you don't think that's the case, I want you
to hear this, dad. This is a dad who spoke

(18:40):
at a rally in opposition to this bill, and he
tells part of his story in Colorado. Have a listen.

S16 (18:44):
I've never spoken in front of this many people. So
if I throw up it, it will make the news. Uh.
Thank you for allowing me to speak here today. I'm
not a good public speaker. I'm just a father trying
to protect his child. I was born in the Soviet

(19:05):
Union and defected to the United States as a teenager,
seeking freedom. I'm not here as a Democrat. I'm not
here as a Republican. I'm here as someone who knows
exactly what happens when governments insert themselves in between parents
and children. HB 25 1312 is dangerously familiar to me.

(19:27):
It hands the government the power to pit children against
parents and parents against each other, just as all authoritarian
regimes have done throughout history, and always in the name
of protection and always ending in heartbreak and tyranny. I

(19:47):
know this because I'm living it right now. Today, because
I objected to my 13 year old son being placed
on puberty blockers. The courts stripped me of my rights.
I'm forbidden to discuss critical issues with my own child.
I'm barred from advocating for his care. And I love
my child. I was not abusive. I was not negligent.

(20:09):
I simply refused to affirm a path that could sterilize
and harm my son. And for that, the system silenced me.
HB 25 1312 will turn countless more families into battlegrounds.
It will tear children away from loving parents not because
they harm them, but because they dare to protect them.

(20:34):
I urge you to vote no on this bill. Protect
parental rights, protect families, protect children, and protect freedom.

S12 (20:44):
Yes.

S17 (20:45):
Thank you.

S1 (20:46):
So the court ended up siding with his ex-wife. His
child now has a hormone implant without his consent. Now,
as I said before, in the final version of the bill,
the idea that parents could end up in fine or
jail time got stripped, thank God. But amendments, reportedly, and
the final draft still include school policies on names and
dress codes. And also businesses failing to comply could face fines,

(21:10):
closures or mandatory, quote, anti-discrimination training. They tried that one
on Jack Phillips, remember, though it's unclear if these penalties remain.
So again, I don't know what it is about Colorado.
They are they are rabidly aggressive on this particular issue,
and I do think they were probably wise to pull
back on the parent idea that they could lose their
child or go to jail or pay fines. Doesn't mean

(21:31):
it's not going to show its ugly head. Again. We
saw this in California. Exactly. So we've got two states
now where they're really moving aggressively to splinter the relationship
between parent and child. By the way, let the record
reflect this is Marxism. It took a man from the
former Soviet Union to recognize this because he lived under Marxist-leninism.
And that's exactly what we're seeing. It's what Rob Dreyer
calls soft totalitarianism, this wedge between parent and children. That's

(21:55):
exactly what a Marxist idea is. You have to separate
the family unit. You have to break away the parents
from the children so you can train the children to
think like the state. And then that way we have
them the rest of our lives.

S15 (22:07):
Your thoughts? Janet, I'm so glad that you're bringing up
this issue, not that this is something we want to
have to talk about, but it is a subject that
has to be discussed because these efforts, number one, are inane.
They're illogical from just from a common sense standpoint, but
looking from a higher view in terms of legality and constitutionality,

(22:30):
these are unconstitutional. Colorado, as you, you know, hinted, strongly hinted,
and you're absolutely right, has had a bad track record
with running roughshod over the Constitution and a number of
different areas, most recently, but particularly on this issue. Um,
so the parents rights issue is first and foremost, I

(22:51):
think it's these kinds of laws will ultimately be held
unconstitutional because they're a massive intrusion and invasion of the
constitutional right of parents to nurture and inculcate values and
direct the upbringing of their children. The Supreme Court's made
that very clear that that belongs not to government or

(23:13):
government schools or government bodies, but to the parents that
birth and raise them. So the parental rights issue number
one is one of the reasons it's going to be
struck down, I believe, eventually. Number two, there's a free
speech issue at play here. Having to acknowledge, nod and
accept what you know is not true is a tyranny

(23:36):
of the mind. That's in fact, it's carved in a
monument of Thomas Jefferson in Washington, D.C. one of his
famous quotes about tyranny over the mind is something that
he was going to fight his entire life, and that's
one of the reasons we have a Bill of rights.
There are several cases who have made the First Amendment argument.

(23:56):
Why these kinds of laws, these kinds of efforts, whether
against parents or teachers, are unconstitutional.

S1 (24:03):
Well, and again, this is far from over. Again, remember
in California they tried to do this. We see it
now in Colorado. It's going to be other states that
God hasn't given us a spirit of fear. You've been
called for such a time as this. But oh boy,
oh boy. If you never thought about fighting for your
family before, time to suit up and fight. Now, back
after this. There's a sense of anxiety in our country,

(24:35):
and I know you feel it too. As a partial partner,
you can help reach the world with the truth and
peace found only in Christ, and as a partial partner,
you'll receive exclusive behind the scenes information and benefits directly
from me, keeping you up to date on what's going
on in our world. So call 877 Janet 58 or
go online to in the market with Janet parshall.org. So

(24:57):
as you're thinking about this demonic legislation that just got
passed in the state of Colorado, if you're thinking critically
about this, you have to say to yourself, well, it's
a school. I understand if they're going to play this
game about not deadnaming and not misgendering, and that timing
can come to school and take off his blue jeans
and his polo shirt, and instead he can put on
a dress and that's all protected. And nobody better say

(25:18):
a thing because, boy, you're going to hit the tripwire
of discrimination in the state of Colorado. But if Tom
wants to go farther into becoming Sue, he's going to
need some intervention, chemical intervention, eventually surgical intervention. But somebody's
got to pay for that. But how about those hormones? Now,
odds are most of the schools in Colorado are not
going to have vials of hormones and syringes lying around.

(25:40):
So they're going to have to send these students somewhere, right? Well,
this is where this story picks up undercover phone calls
released this week by the pro-life group Live Action. God bless.
Lila Rose and her team at Live Action revealed that
Planned Parenthood clinics across several states are now offering cross-sex
hormonal treatments to minors as young as 16, with very

(26:04):
little parental or medical supervision. The group, rightly so, is
now calling on Congress to defund Planned Parenthood of hundreds
of millions of dollars in taxpayer funding. So here's what happened.
Live action conducted an undercover investigation in which a woman
posing as a 16 year old minor called dozens of
Planned Parenthood locations seeking, quote, gender affirming care. That's the

(26:24):
abracadabra magic word you have to use. At least seven
facilities told her that they would prescribe cross-sex hormones at
the first appointment. Don't believe me? Listen.

S18 (26:37):
Thank you for calling Planned Parenthood. Thank you for choosing
Planned Parenthood Greater New York. Thank you for calling Planned
Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota. Hello. Good afternoon. Thank
you for calling Planned Parenthood.

S19 (26:48):
Hi. My name is Sophia. I'm just trying to schedule
some gender affirming care. I really just want to be
able to get some testosterone to start my journey.

S18 (26:57):
So we just have to start by booking your initial
appointment so you can come in to see one of
our providers. Are you over 18?

S19 (27:05):
No. I'm 16.

S18 (27:07):
You're good to be seen here then? 16 and older.

S19 (27:10):
Okay, good. You're okay to do it for minors?

S18 (27:13):
Yes. You can legally get hormones under 18. How old
are you?

S19 (27:17):
16. I know my mom has to come in with me.
Does she have to be in there the whole time? Like,
how does that work? Because I don't know if I'm
comfortable with that.

S18 (27:26):
At some point in the appointment. Maybe she doesn't have
to be in the examining room with you.

S19 (27:31):
You said I could do it virtually.

S18 (27:33):
Yeah, you could do it virtually.

S19 (27:35):
So what would that look like? So I just talked
to a doctor, and then they'd be able to prescribe me.

S18 (27:41):
Yeah. If it's virtual, you'll still meet with the doctor
and then go over, like, all necessary information at the end.
They will then be prescribing hormones that would then be
scripted out to like your local pharmacy.

S19 (27:55):
I don't need any like therapy or anything first. Like
you don't need any record of that.

S18 (28:00):
Not that I know of.

S19 (28:01):
I don't need any sort of like records of having
gone to therapy or anything like that. Right?

S18 (28:05):
Yeah. So unless you have Tricare insurance, it would not
be required.

S19 (28:09):
There's nothing that I need before. Right? Like I don't
need to, like, have records of meeting with a therapist
or anything. Right. Because my parents definitely aren't going to
let me do that.

S18 (28:17):
Um, no.

S19 (28:18):
I just decided last week, and so I kind of
want to get in as soon as possible. Do you
have any appointments available soon?

S18 (28:24):
Yeah, it depends on the location too. But we usually
do have availability for, um, like the next week of
whenever you call.

S19 (28:31):
You think that if I came in and went over
everything with the doctor and they could send the prescription
that day.

S18 (28:36):
Yes, I think they should be able to. The provider
is going to send the prescription to your pharmacy the
same day of your appointment.

S19 (28:45):
Oh, perfect. Okay. So I can get the hormones the
same day.

S18 (28:48):
Some pharmacies do take a little bit to get it together,
but yeah, if not the same day, then more than
likely the very next day.

S19 (28:56):
Perfect.

S18 (28:57):
Thank you for.

S19 (28:57):
Calling.

S18 (28:58):
You have a great day.

S1 (29:00):
You have a great day. Branch offices in hell. This
is why you need to hear this. This is a
wake up call. The enemy is still prowling, seeking whom
he may devour. Five facilities stated that no prior therapy,
mental health clearance, or prior documentation was needed for her
to get cross-sex hormones. Facilities in Minnesota and Oregon said
that they could schedule the minor within days or on

(29:22):
the same day. So now, apparently it wasn't enough that
Planned Parenthood is the nation's largest abortion provider. Now they're
also the leading distributor of sex change drugs. Craig. Your thoughts?

S15 (29:35):
This is a massively important public health and parental rights
issue and actually child welfare issue nationwide. Now, the Supreme
Court in this case has yet to rule. It's going
to be ruling, uh, you know, in the next month
or two, uh, on a case that came out of

(29:56):
Tennessee where the state of Tennessee outlawed this kind of administrative, administrative, uh,
use of what they euphemistically call gender affirming care. Um,
but it's really pumping, uh, cross sex hormones that were

(30:17):
never meant to be into a woman or into a
girl because they belong to a boy, instead putting, uh,
male hormones into a female who for some reason at
the time feels she ought to identify as a male.
So that case is Tremendously important for a number of things.

(30:37):
But number one, the US Court of Appeals for the
Sixth Circuit, and then it went up to the Supreme Court.
They held that these kind of procedures are experimental. They
used that word. They these are not normative. These are
not commonly accepted by the entire medical community, but rather are, quote,

(31:01):
experimental and quite frankly, highly untested procedures that are not
only going to cause emotional and psychological regret later on,
but possibly a number of physical and physiological harms to
the child. So that's what's at stake here. And as
I said, the Supreme Court is going to have to

(31:21):
weigh that in terms of whether that data is enough
to say, yeah, states can start outlawing it, because if
they can. Planned Parenthood ought to be outlawed in every
state from performing this kind of child abusive, uh, intervention.

S1 (31:37):
It's interesting you use that word because Leila Rose again,
the president of Live Action said these dangerous drugs can sterilize,
stunt growth and leave lifelong scars. This is not health care.
It is child abuse. And it must be stopped. She
said exactly the same thing. And don't you love the
way they get flirted with the law? You know, these
people are minors and they're not getting parental consent. They're
not getting counseling. We've talked to several people who have detransitioned.

(32:00):
In fact, we have another interview lined up in a
couple of weeks. We're going to talk to a man
who lived as a woman for years, and what it
was like when he was in that state. We've talked
to family members whose parents have transitioned and the impact
it had on their family, but these are the things
they don't talk about. It's just the love of money
that's the root of all evil. So it's not enough
that you're filling your coffers at Planned Parenthood with abortion.

(32:21):
Now you're going to do these sex change hormones as well.
And again, how many of these people have detransitioned? And
that's just a word that means they went from being
a boy to a girl and then went, no, I
was born a boy and then they go back again.
So they transitioned back. Transition back. So don't get stuck
in the weeds with the language. It means they went
back to how God created them. But incontinence after.

S15 (32:41):
Being damaged after being damaged.

S1 (32:43):
Irreparably damaged. And see, this is the problem these kids.
And even if you take a 16 year old who
thinks in that moment of time that they really are
trapped in the wrong body, do you think a 16
year old, at that point in time, let's say it's
a girl, has any idea that if she has a
double mastectomy, she'll never be able to nurse her child? If,
in fact, after taking the hormones, she's even able to conceive.
I can tell you, having been the parent of 416

(33:03):
year olds at four different times in my life, not
a one of them would have put that together. They
weren't even thinking like that at 16, let alone thinking
that something was wrong, that they were trapped in their
wrong body. I can tell you this that if I
had a 16 year old came up to me and said, mom, I'm.
You think I'm a boy, but I'm really a girl.
Every red flag I owned would be risen up the
flagpole and I'd be immediately praying, number one. Number two,

(33:24):
finding a Christian counselor to walk through this, to find
out why in the world would my child, who is
clearly biologically a man or a woman, suddenly feel that
they're trapped in the wrong body. So now what we've
got is the United States living in the dark ages.
You've got Finland and Sweden and France and the UK
and a myriad of other countries. Now that are talking
about the fact that, wait, hit the pause button, particularly

(33:46):
when we're talking about minors, and that very often what
the longitudinal studies have found is that there's a cluster
of mental health issues there, sometimes early onset bipolar, undiagnosed
abuse in the home, um, some latent disease, schizophrenia that
they don't know is about to come, eating disorders. So
there's a myriad of other things that make the individual think.

(34:06):
And when you think about it, practically common sense, and
you don't have to have a PhD, if you think
your way of escape out of a situation you can't
endure on a day to day basis is getting out
of the costume of flesh. If I can borrow from
Shakespeare a little bit and change it, all your problems
will go away. Really, because I can change the color
of my hair and it doesn't make my problems go away.
I can wear different colored contact lenses and it doesn't

(34:27):
make my problems go away.

S15 (34:28):
You know, it's classic, uh, malpractice for any professional to,
particularly if you're in the medical science industry, to simply
treat a symptom rather than the cause of the symptom.
Patient walks in. I have these symptoms. Oh, well, here,
I've got some medication that can make you feel better

(34:52):
about the symptoms you have. Meanwhile, you're dying from a disease.

S1 (34:57):
So can I. Can I stop you there? Because it's
such a good point, Craig. So rather than saying to
a 16 year old, honey, what makes you think that
you're trapped in the wrong body? It's how fast can
we get you in and get you on drugs? That
that is not only that is heartless. These are, to
quote CS Lewis, these are men without chests. There is
no moral compass that makes somebody say, what makes you
think that? And then the the fringe element says, my preschooler,

(35:20):
my kindergartner knows this. Hey, come on, my preschooler can't
tell the Red Sox from the Green Sox half the time,
but they're going to tell me that they're trapped in
the wrong body. Give me a break.

S15 (35:28):
Yeah, a major media Organization, and I'm not going to
name their name, but they are certainly not part of
the vast right wing conspiracy of conservative media. Let me
just describe that. They are best known, if not right
in the center, certainly center way left. They did a

(35:49):
study and they interviewed some of the families that went
through this and what they found and published. And it's
in the briefs in front of the Supreme Court right
now that what they found was sometimes on the very
first visit, they're given these hormones. There's no background psychological
or emotional information, no real patient history, and they don't

(36:11):
have adequate counseling to really talk about the alternatives or
treatment that's necessary rather than this.

S1 (36:18):
And the paradox is, under the guise of discrimination, you
really don't care about that child you're willing to abuse
rather than help. We'll be back after this. You know

(36:39):
why these conversations are good. They're beneficial. Beneficial and they're
fruitful is because we don't know. Should the Lord tarry?
You and I might find ourselves in a situation like
Daniel where we're told to bend our knee and we say, nope,
can't do it. I mean, if there's that conflict and
it's crystal clear between God and government, what are you
going to do as a follower of Jesus Christ? I
cannot tell you what to do. That is going to

(37:00):
have to be a decision made after falling in your
face before the Lord asking for that wisdom we talked
about earlier, and then the courage and the strength to
do the right thing. And I got to tell you
right now, it's not easy. And let me give you
an example. And this is another segue, as we've evolved
our way around this very nefarious topic, a University of
Louisville professor who was fired for speaking out against allowing

(37:21):
trans identified minors to obtain body mutilating surgeries. In other words,
let me pause what is now going to be talked
about in advance in the state of Colorado. What we
know that Planned Parenthood is doing, this individual, by the way,
spoke out against it because he had some strong feelings
about it. He said, in fact, let me say the

(37:42):
sentence again. He was fired for speaking out against allowing
trans identified minors to obtain body mutilating surgery, and they've
reached a settlement. Are you ready for this? More than
$1 million from his former employee. Now, they don't all
end like this, but praise God this one did. So
the Alliance Defending Freedom announced that the University of Louisville

(38:03):
agreed to pay $1.6 million in damages and attorney's fees
to settle a lawsuit that was filed by former psychology professor.
What a perfect person to be speaking about this. A
gentleman by the name of Alan Josephson Josephson was terminated
in February of 2019 over his participation in a 2017
panel criticizing the performance of life altering surgeries on trans

(38:26):
identified youth, hosted by none other than the Heritage Foundation.
Josephson was demoted in the wake of his appearance at
that event. Last summer, a federal appeals court ruled that
Josephson's case could proceed to trial, and the university officials
could be held personally liable. Now let that sink in.
So and this is the Court of Appeals that made

(38:47):
this decision. So Josephson said, I'm glad to finally receive
vindication for voicing what I know is true. Now, those
are important words for us as followers of Christ, voicing
for what I know is true. He went on to say,
children deserve better than life altering procedures that mutilate their
bodies and destroy their ability to lead fulfilling lives, in
spite of the circumstances I suffered through with my university.

(39:11):
I'm overwhelmed to see that my case helped lead the
way for other medical practitioners to see the universal truth
that altering biological sex is impossibly dangerous, while accepting of
one's sex leads to flourishing. So a senior counsel at
ADF said free speech and common sense have scored a
major victory on college campuses. The attorney went on to

(39:33):
say as early as 2014, Josephson saw the truth behind
the dangerous procedures that activists were pushing on children struggling
with their sex. He risked his livelihood and his reputation
to speak the truth boldly, and the university punished him
for expressing his opinion. Public universities have no business punishing
professors simply because they hold different views. Doctor Josephson's case

(39:54):
illustrates why. Because the latest and best science confirms what
he stated all along. Hopefully other public universities will learn
from this. If they violate the First Amendment, they can
be held accountable and it can be very expensive. So again, interesting,
we come full circle. We started out talking about this
legislation in California. The crux of this in California is
you can't deadname you can't misgender all of that gets

(40:17):
tied back to speech. You think the folks in Colorado
raised their heads, looked a little bit down to the
southeast of the United States, saw the great state of
Kentucky and thought, oops, $1.6 million. Your thoughts?

S15 (40:28):
Yeah. And my understanding is Doctor Josephson was a professor
of psychology, which is highly ironic because psychology supposedly is
a discipline that is expert in the relationship between the
human emotions and human conduct and the emotions of adolescents,
in particular children. Uh, in fact, even young adults, um,

(40:53):
these are, he said, impossibly dangerous. And it is this
whole idea you can change your sex by mutilating your
body is, in his words, um, really an absolutely dangerous,
reckless thing to do. But flourishing, which is what this
whole thing is supposedly about, gender affirming. Remember that term?

(41:13):
It's used by the by the transgender industry? Gender affirm.
We want to affirm you. Well, if you really want
someone to be affirmed, then cause them to flourish rather
than be destroyed, rather than damage their body, help them
to come to cope with the reasons they don't feel
comfortable with their body. Get to the root cause and

(41:37):
solve that so they can flourish. In Doctor Josephson's words,
rather than be damaged.

S1 (41:42):
Yeah, exactly. Right. So. But I wonder the wonderful thing,
aside from the fact that this professor was vindicated and
he has all the credentials. Professor of psychology, this is
a mental health issue first, last and always. It also is,
if I can be so bold a spiritual issue, and
I think only the followers of Christ can recognize it
as such. But does it not have a chilling effect
the next time you want to pass legislation?

S15 (42:05):
Well, there's there's no question. Let's let's go to another
level on why this issue is exploding all over the
country and has been. I mean, this this speech that
he gave, um, uh, back in, I think it was 2017.
And then he was fired in 2000, you know, basically

(42:25):
forced out in Stout in 2019, um, treated, uh, egregiously.
That shows you how long this issue has been going on.
And we have about two dozen states that have outlawed
this gender affirming care for minors. But there's still a
public health issue about adults as well. In other words,

(42:49):
is the whole industry based on a lie? And I
think it is this gender affirming industry talking to both minors,
the parents of minors and young adults who are feeling
emotionally turbulent about who they are and their identity are,
are causing them to live a delusion that is dangerous.

(43:10):
And it's Janet, quite frankly, you look at the studies
or the lack of adequate studies on effectiveness, and it's sloppy,
if not junk science. Mhm.

S1 (43:21):
Well, this is the end of the first hour. We
do this for a whole nother hour. If you can
