On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we tackled the growing acceptance of the gay lifestyle as a dear friend to the program helped us understand how even in Christian circles the acceptance of same-sex relationships has infiltrated and caused rifts. He talked about a popular television couple whose inclusion of a same-sex couple on their new show has caused an uproar. He also warned us the challenges facing the church over this issue as the so-called “gay gospel” gains more and more acceptance. Contrary to what many of us have accepted as fact regarding the history of this continent, there were generations of people who populated this land long before the Pilgrims arrived from Europe.  We spoke with a biologist who used DNA comparison research to uncover the true history of the indigenous people who once populated this land. He uncovered for us the origins of these people are their incredible journey to travel to this land and make their homes here.  Have you ever longed for a deeper walk with the Lord? Our guest took us on a journey of exploration and understanding as she explained what biblical rest is really all about and how we can draw closer to the Lord through it. One of the biggest challenges in sharing the gospel with Jewish people is that the Jesus of the New Testament is indeed the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecies about a coming Messiah. We spoke to a Messianic follower of Jesus who has spent his life leading his people to their Messiah. He opened up God’s word to show how in every instance Jesus IS the fulfillment of all the prophecies. His insights gave us practical guidance for sharing this good news with our Jewish friends and neighbors. Keeping up with the news today can be like drinking from a fire hose, there is just so much and so much that can easily confuse and mislead us. That’s why we invite you once again to examine some of the most important news of the week with our favorite husband and wife team as they continue to teach us how to measure what we see and hear against the unvarnished truth of God’s unchanging word.

S1 (00:00):
Hi there. Thanks so much for downloading this particular broadcast
of In the Market with Janet Parshall. And I truly
hope with all my heart that you hear something that
equips edifies, encourage, enlightens, and then in truth, get you
out there in the marketplace of ideas so you can
influence and occupy until he comes. But before you go,
I'd like to tell you about this month's truth tool,
and it very much ties into the marketplace of ideas.

(00:20):
I love Alisa Childers. She is a brilliant Christian apologist,
and she's written a wonderful book called The Deconstruction of Christianity.
Hashtags like deconstruction and evangelical are everywhere, and it really
gives evidence to the fact that there are so many
that are walking away from the faith. It raises the
question why and how do we respond, and what can
we say? What are the roots of this movement? What

(00:41):
really is deconstruction? That's what Alisa does in her book.
She answers all of those questions with powerful biblical eloquence.
It's happening more and more. It's even worked its way
into the church. So you and I need to be
prepared to give a reason for the hope that resides
within us, so we can better contend for the faith
so we know what we believe and why we can
believe it. In the market with Janet Parshall is a

(01:03):
listener supported broadcast, and it's my way of saying thank
you when you give financially. So let me encourage you
to get this book, The Deconstruction of Christianity for a
gift of any amount. Just call 877 Janet 58. That's
877 Janet 58. Pledge your gift. And it's my way
of saying thanks so much for supporting the program. You
can also give online, if you prefer, in the market
with Janet Parshall. Scroll all the way down to the

(01:26):
bottom of the page. There's the cover of the book,
the deconstruction of Christianity, clicking on Make Your Gift, and
likewise you'll also get a copy while you're there, linger
a little bit longer and discover what it means to
be a partial partner. That is my ever enlarging circle
of friends that give every single month to support the broadcast.
They give it a level of their own choosing. They
always get the truth tool, but in addition to that,

(01:48):
they get a weekly newsletter that contains some of my
writing and an audio piece that only gets heard by
my partial partners. So prayerfully consider how you'd like to
support this program, and let me say thank you in advance.

(02:08):
the broadcast.

S2 (02:12):
Welcome to In the Market with Janet Parshall. Today's program
is where Janet and her husband, Craig, take some of
the stories making headlines this week, and offer their insight
and analysis. Before they get started, let's take a quick
look back at some of the highlights from the week.

S3 (02:31):
We idolize busyness. We idolize efficiency, speed, productivity, achievement, self-sufficiency,
and convenience, and all of these things get in the
way of staying close to God. And what's happening is
our value and our worth get attached to being in demand.
We get addicted to the need to be needed rather

(02:52):
than the need for God to move. And so we've
become very consumed with strategy, skill and charisma. And we've
stopped emphasizing the soul side of leadership.

S4 (03:02):
Why should the Americas be this isolated, different, you know, other.
They're not like the rest of the world. No, no,
they're like the rest of the world. We're all related
through NOAA. And so why wouldn't there be connections between
the old world and the new? Multiple times over. These
people are not dumb. They're not brutes. They're not, you know,
half evolved apes. Noah could build a boat. Why couldn't
these people build a boat to go across the Bering

(03:23):
Strait or whatever it is? So to me, it has
this emotional satisfaction to. Or maybe even intellectual satisfaction like
this makes more sense.

S5 (03:31):
That's a beautiful picture in the in the city of Jerusalem,
of both Israel and the church, as that universally blessed
people for all eternity. And so whenever we see that
division of, well, they're not, it's all together. You don't
have to feel like a second class citizen if you're

(03:52):
not Jewish. You are part of this amazing people of God.
Made up of Israel, the Jews and the church. All
of whom have a Jew living in their heart by faith. Yeshua.
Jesus the Messiah.

S6 (04:06):
I think we need to do more provocation in the church,
provoking each other unto love and good works. I think
that that I think we need to have more of
a common understanding that we can't be the people we're
meant to be. We can't be real disciples if we
are not continuing to learn from the word and recognize
the authority of the word in our lives and be
encouraging each other, uh, towards godliness and good works, I

(04:30):
think at the local level, we have to not only
practice that with each other, but I think we need
to call it out when we're seeing it violated.

S2 (04:39):
To hear the full interviews from any of those guests
go to In the Market with Janet Parshall and click
on past programs. Here are some other stories making headlines
this week.

S7 (04:50):
A fragile truce between Cambodia and Thailand held for a
second day on Wednesday, despite accusations of violations on both sides.

S8 (04:58):
In an effort to combat wildlife trafficking, South African scientists
are inserting radioactive material into rhino horns to make them
traceable and less desirable to poachers.

S9 (05:09):
Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said on Wednesday the US
central bank would hold interest rates steady despite repeated demands
from President Donald Trump to lower them.

S2 (05:19):
Janet and Craig have lots to share, and they'll put
the first story on the table when we return. To
get more information or to download the podcast of any
of the interviews, go to. In the market with Janet Parshall.

S1 (05:44):
The hashtags deconstruction and evangelical have millions of posts, and
they're leading people away from Scripture. That's why I've chosen
the deconstruction of Christianity as this month's truth tool. Learn
what deconstruction is, the roots of the movement and why
it's compelling to some, and how it disrupts the lives
of so many. Ask for your copy of Deconstruction of Christianity.
When you give a gift of any amount in the market,
call 877 Janet 58. That's 877 Janet 58 or go

(06:08):
to in the market with Janet Parshall. Happy Friday to
you friends. So glad you're going to join us this hour. Truly,
I'm glad Craig Parsell is with me. He's on every Friday.
I think Friday I should rename the show In the
Market with Craig and Janet Parshall. And I so appreciate, sir,
you're joining me every Friday. Quick word on this new
truth tool because it is August 1st, the deconstruction of

(06:28):
Christianity written by a brilliant woman. I just love Alisa Childers.
She's so smart. And so it really is about people
who are moving away from the faith. Why are they
doing that? Now, you may know somebody who's doing this.
You may be sensing this yourself. You want to know
what this this movement is? Why are people, quote, deconstructing
kind of a weird word. What does it mean? How
would we respond to somebody who goes, I don't want
anything to do with Christianity again. So it's very important

(06:51):
for you in an evangelical vein, to understand why people
would say, no, I'm done. I've turned my back and
I'm walking away. And Elisa, who, by the way, this
was her problem. She went to a progressive church, and
she was at that fork in the road where she
could have turned her back on the Lord. But thanks
be to God, she went. Nope. I'm going to dig deeper.
I'm going to look for answers. And God created out
of her now just this beautifully winsome apologist. So that book,

(07:15):
The Deconstruction of Christianity, is this month's truth tool. My
way of saying thank you when you give a gift
of any amount to in the market with Janet Parshall,
just call 877 Janet 58 877 Janet 58 or online

online by going to the bottom of the page. There's
the cover of the book. You can't miss it. There's
several colors on the cover of the book. Click on

(07:36):
through Make Your Donation and my way of saying thank you.
All right. So here's what we do. On Friday, Craig
and I take out our glasses, put them on. It's
the lens of Scripture. We look at the issues that
are being bought and sold in the marketplace of ideas,
and then we look at what the Word of God
has to say. You got to have some hay that lines.
That picture is crooked. Honey, how do you know that
picture's crooked when he hangs that picture up on your
bathroom wall? Right. You have to take out a level

(07:58):
and you measure it to see that. In fact, it's
not a crooked idea. Well, God's word is the great leveler.
It's how we can measure ideas out there that might
be crooked. And then, in so doing, we know what
to buy, what to stay away from when we're in
the marketplace of ideas. But more importantly, it teaches us
how to be good merchants of truth. We give it
away for free because we were freely given salvation. Now

(08:21):
Christ paid a great cost for that, that great pearl,
that price that you can't put a price on the
priceless gift of eternal salvation where Jesus paid it all,
all to him I owe. Just like the great old
hymn says, but you have the opportunity to be able
to say, okay, I hear what you're saying, but Paul
X17 and then fill in the blank. So that's why
we talk about all these issues. So here's one, Mark Zuckerberg.

(08:43):
We always get into AI a little bit, don't we,
on Fridays. And this is our AI story for today.
Meta has been accused of pirating a whole adult bookstores
worth of dirty movies. Why? To train AI models? Yeah,
that's why we talk about AI so much on this program. Okay, great.
It's new technology. Wonderful. These are people with a worldview

(09:06):
building a machine that wants to take over your job.
Craig and I were just talking earlier today. When you
go to Google now, they've got an AI response at
the top. Don't I don't want your AI interpretation and
don't do my homework for me. I'm going to find
my own sources. By the way. Google. It's bad enough
they lean to the left. Now they've got a machine
thinking for me at the top when I'm looking for
something as a search engine through Google and boom, up

(09:27):
pops AI, it's the worst of worst. And then underneath
a teeny tiny print, AI may be responsible for mistakes.
So there you go. But here, back to what Zuckerberg
is doing a whole adult book stop to train AI
models in dirty movies. Wow. Okay. First flagged by the
blog TorrentFreak. Had to look it up. The word torrent,

(09:49):
by the way, in the AI world has to do
with downloading, and very often it has to do with
downloading copyrighted material. So oops, it's a tripwire and it's
a big issue, which is why a company called strike
three Holdings and an adult film studio, of course, because
they're not rich enough and they're multi-billion dollar business called, well,
I'm not going to name their media. There you go.

(10:09):
I'm not going to name the adult company. There's nothing
wrong with that. I'm just not giving them any airplay.
They filed a lawsuit against meta, alleging that the tech
giant Torrented. This is the word Torrented download this possibly
copyrighted material. Nearly 2400 adult movies. All, uh, all in
the name of AI research, of course. Now what? What

(10:31):
could possibly go wrong? According to the suit, which was
filed in a California federal court, strike three and this
adult company discovered by tracing dozens of IP and email
addresses that meta began downloading and seeding their content via
another program. I'm not going to give these people free publicity.

(10:51):
Way back in 2018, because of the seating, the lawsuit
alleges the company, formerly known as Facebook, also allegedly engaged
in methodical and persistent distribution of those works to other parties,
including potentially to minors. Uh oh. Defendant has continually infringed
plaintiff's works for years, the suit says. Often infringing the

(11:11):
very same day the motion pictures are released. Okay. I
can give you more details. I think you get the
gist of this. First of all, why in the world
would Zuckerberg want to have porn movies as part of
the part of the advancing technology of artificial intelligence? And
before you answer, let me give you my $0.02. This
idea now, and we talked about this with Doug Smith. Boy,

(11:33):
he's good on this topic that Doug smith.com is his website.
Check it out Bible based but works in the tech world.
He's been on the other side of the tech curtain.
And he knows all the games and the manipulations that
are being played. So we had a very fruitful conversation
with him recently about people developing relationships erroneously and biblically, sadly,
with artificial intelligence machines that are talking back to you. Well,

(11:56):
now you begin to see why does he want to
download porn films? Because he's going to Hypersexualize. Which, by
the way, is exactly what Elon Musk is doing with
his grok. Now he's got memes that are highly sexualized,
and people as young as 12 years of age can
get access to these programs as well. So I guess
he's going to program it into AI, so he makes
the machine all the sexier. But I guess he didn't

(12:17):
think about hitting the tripwire of taking copyrighted material. And
trust me, the porn industry is not going to go
without fighting. They want to be a multi trillion dollar business,
not just a billion.

S10 (12:27):
There are two issues here. Let me take the technical
one and then let me talk about the technological one.
The technical one is this copyright law which is pretty
esoteric for most people. The bottom line is when you
write a book and by the way, a whole raft
of well-known authors have created a group of plaintiffs that

(12:52):
have sued the use of their novels, their nonfiction books,
their creativity as learning tools for AI. And so they're
suing the companies, the social media platforms, and the information
platforms that are using this to train AI on the
grounds that, uh, it's a violation of copyright. And they've

(13:14):
got a I think they've got a very solid case.
It's been going on for the last year and a half, quietly. Uh,
I mean, it hit the newspapers at first, and it's
been quietly running at the same time. I'll be very
interested in finding out. Forget about the pornography aspect of this.
There is a copyright issue that still has to be
winnowed out. But let's go to the bigger issue, the

(13:36):
technological issue. Why would meta want to do this?

S1 (13:39):
Yes.

S10 (13:40):
Because there is a race among the five giants. And
by the way, this is another part of my argument, uh,
for the need for legislative, congressional federal law, guardrails for
the antitrust monopolies that are being created by five companies um, meta, Microsoft, Amazon,

(14:04):
Apple and Google, which also includes YouTube. Um, they control
almost everything in terms of these information platforms and all information.
As a result of that and all of our ability
to communicate with others using social media platforms and search
engines and so forth. So these five are all congregating.

(14:24):
They're all fighting among themselves to see who's going to
be Top Gun in terms of their AI system taking
over the world. So why would they want porn sites? Well,
because in order to develop these llms, these large language
models in AI. They need as an expansive a database

(14:46):
as possible on all the things that humans are saying
and reading, so that I can be the universal brain now.
So is there a need.

S1 (14:59):
In.

S10 (15:00):
That? Right? And if you look at the facts, if
you look at the statistics, yes, the vast majority of
people who are online quite a bit, and that's most
of us have one time or another bumped into something
that comes from a site that comes from another site
that has pornographic links to it, usually inadvertently, because it's

(15:23):
out there. But the ones who are accessing this directly
are a very small percentage, doing most of the online
accessing for large periods of time, as opposed to oh boy,
I didn't ask for that. Remember when there was one
sight that sounded like it was a federal governmental site.

(15:44):
And this was years ago, and in fact, it was
a covert use of the name to entice people into
a porn site. Well, that was eradicated, but that's that
can happen and it still happens. As a matter of fact,
some children, some adolescents are able to inadvertently bump into
porn just by going through meta or Facebook or Instagram

(16:05):
if they follow some links. But the vast majority of
us are not seeking this information. It's a very small
percentage that are addicted to it or that are constantly
using it by percentage. So then why would meta want
to pander to the small percentage rather than the large
percentage of what most people are not interested in? Because again,

(16:29):
it's a race to number one position to say we
have the largest brain that knows most about all the
information that all of the human race. Good, bad or otherwise,
is accessing. That's really what the race is about. Do
we really want that race? Uh, it's it's going to

(16:50):
be a it's a race toward the bottom rather than
the top.

S1 (16:54):
Never stop and think. And this goes to the something
wicked this way comes. So you've got two levels of
AI trying to intrude into our lives so that we
will become consumers and purchasers and users of artificial intelligence.
The fact that it's artificial, it's like, I don't want
an artificial sweetener in my drink. It causes cancer. And,
you know, God made sugar, okay. Or else don't have

(17:16):
sweetener in it. So artificial intelligence, do you notice the
two tiers? One is they're coming at young people, particularly
through games, right. And trying to entice them through relationships.
They're also using the relationship aspect for adults, whether it's
creating persona a companion, remember, and now adding a sexual
level to that part as well. So those are the
two where they're doing it first. Yes. Robotic surgery. Eye surgery? Yes.

(17:40):
Isn't that wonderful? But that's not where they're going. They're
going where they can get the greatest amount of users
in the shortest period of time with enticement tools. Now,
if you don't recognize that you're being manipulated in the
midst of this, wake up, because this is hyper manipulation.
And in this area, buyer beware. Back after this. One

(18:11):
of the things Craig and I like to do on Friday,
because this is a particular concern and should be for
you and me as followers of Jesus Christ, is the
ascendancy of wolves in these last days. And we have
been warned. By the way, Matthew 715 says, beware of
false prophets who come to you in sheep's clothing, but
inwardly are ravenous wolves. Okay. That sound you and I

(18:33):
need to recognize, and the Bible tells us this is
going to happen more and more. In fact, in second
Timothy four three, we read for a time is going
to come when people won't put up with sound doctrine. Instead,
to suit their own desires, they will gather around them.
A great number of teachers, not a small a great
number of teachers who will say what their itching ears
want to hear. Now that's the part of the marketplace

(18:56):
that bothers me the most. I've said this and I'll
say it again the world is doing exactly what the
world does without Jesus. Our continued triune frontier is the world,
the flesh and the devil. We are east of Eden.
These are the battles that we face every single day.
The world is doing exactly what the world does without Jesus.
I'm not surprised. In fact, I use it as a watch.
I'm watching what happens in the culture as keeping time

(19:19):
for Jesus's return, reminding me the days are short. Go
out and tell somebody about Jesus. I don't know when
he's coming, but I do know that he's not willing
that any should perish. So am I praying fervently every
day for the opportunity to tell somebody about Jesus, the
only name under heaven whereby men will be saved the
only way between God and man. I am the way,

(19:41):
the truth and the life, he said. No one comes
to the father but by me. So we should have
swift feet in sharing that gospel message. And unfortunately, we
kind of drag our feet along and we're slow and
we say, it's not my calling, it's not my job,
it's somebody else. I might get marginalized, yada yada yada.
And we make all of these excuses, and there are
people who will go to bed tonight and will wake

(20:01):
up in eternity. Maybe they've never heard about Jesus because
nobody told them. As the eunuch said to Philip, how
can I know unless someone tells me? That's you and me.
We get to tell somebody. Now the problem is we
want to tell them the truth, the whole truth, and
nothing but the truth. But you have these ravenous wolves
who are not doing that. So I want you to
hear now from a woman, and I don't not naming

(20:23):
the person. I'm not naming the church, because then we
get all stuck. We get stuck in the denomination. And,
you know, we like to play for the home team.
And so we don't want to get into denominationalism. That's
not the point. The point is out of the overflow
of the heart. The mouth speaks is what this person
saying in alignment with the Word of God. Here's the
straight stick of truth. And so this individual is using
a verse of Scripture to make a justification about an allowance.

(20:46):
And I don't mean money. She gives her 11 year
old son have a listen.

S11 (20:50):
Word became flesh and lived among us. And my body,
your body, their bodies are home for the living God. Yes.
Full of grace. Full of truth. That is why I
take my 11 year old boy to drag shows in
the summer with my friend and fellow church leader, Kate

(21:13):
and her 11 year old boy. I want him to
know that there is no wrong way to have a body,
especially if you're a man, that bodies can be celebrated
and played with. I want him to know that all
bodies can shapeshift and be adorned with makeup and glitter.
All bodies. I want him to know that there is
no wrong way to live in his body as long

(21:34):
as his body is not hurting other bodies. Amen. I
especially want him to know this if he turns out
to be a heterosexual, able bodied, and cisgendered man, I
want to raise a boy who knows that he doesn't
get to tell other people how to live in a body.

S1 (21:52):
Okay. There's so much to unpack there. First of all, Craig,
please tell me, after lo these many years of marriage,
tell me you're not a shapeshifter.

S10 (22:00):
Oh, let me think about that. No, the answer is no.

S1 (22:03):
Okay, good. All right, so this poor female cleric, and again,
standing in front of a gay flag and draping the
altar on which she is standing in front of. Again
with gay paraphernalia. And she gives this idea about the
body is to be celebrated and played with. And then
she uses sadly John 114 the Word became flesh and

(22:27):
lived among us. And my body, your body. Their bodies
are home for the living God. Okay. And you're thinking
of that. And you go, yeah, okay, that makes sense.
And then she takes this turn. What's wrong with what
she just said?

S10 (22:39):
Um, you know, when I read this, I went back to, uh,
a guy by the name of, uh, Clement of Alexandria.
He lived in the second century, and he was a
great Christian scholar. And he had learned at the feet
of those who had learned at the feet of the apostles.
And by that point, all the apostles had gone to heaven. And, uh,

(23:01):
the church fathers like Clement of Alexandria were fighting against heresy.
And he made a brilliant point. And I had to
go back and read, reread what he had to say.
He said, you know, the thing about these heretics is
they will take one word or two words of Scripture
and they will not make sense of it. They will
simply use it as a tool for their heresy, as

(23:21):
a jumping off point for that which is untrue. And
they never really talk about the quote sense of the
words of Scripture, meaning its It's meaning they use it
as a tool for their heretical ideas. And this is
exactly what happens. I mean, if you go to John,
the first chapter of John about the word made flesh,

(23:43):
the word clearly belongs to Jesus. He is the word logos.
And he became flesh like us. It doesn't mean that
all flesh is like him. And that's that's the insanity here.

S1 (23:57):
He makes the corrupted incorruptible.

S10 (24:00):
He came so that we could have the choice to
be like him. But it doesn't mean because, again, like
the heretics of ancient times, this person, whether willingly or unwillingly,
intentionally or not, is taking one little verse or one
part of Scripture and saying, we're all the same flesh

(24:22):
that God loves. Well, God loves us, but not our flesh,
because it's all sinful. Jesus, the logos came to be flesh,
God in the flesh, so we could choose to be
like him. If we accept Christ as Savior and the
work he did on the cross. But it doesn't mean
a blanket sanctification of everybody if you have flesh. What

(24:44):
a flagrant heresy.

S1 (24:46):
And somehow uses that verse as a justification to take
her son, 11 years old, to drag shows. Wow. Maybe
she better read about millstones while she's at it as well.
Let me take a break and come right back. This
is in the market with Janet Parshall. Craig partial is
with me. We're turning the page. New topic when we
return right after this. How do you keep your finger

(25:14):
on the pulse of America while listening to the heartbeat
of God's Word? On in the market, we look for
God's perspective on current events, become a partial partner today,
and keep this Christ centered program on the air. As
a benefit, you'll receive exclusive resources every week prepared just
for you. You'll get behind the scenes Intel from my
email to yours. Call 877 Janet, 58, or go online

(25:35):
to In the Market with Janet Parshall. So I referenced
that verse from Second Timothy earlier. I'm going to say
it again because I think it's germane to this couple
of topics we're going to talk about now. Second Timothy
four three for the time will come when people will

(25:57):
not put up with sound doctrine instead to suit their
own desires. That's very important part of the verse. In
other words, they've already arrived at a predetermined conclusion. And
so they're just going to find people who affirm what
their own personal desires are, right? And they will gather
around them a great number of teachers to say what
their itching ears want to hear. Now, teachers. About what? Well,

(26:18):
I think you could say teachers of all kind exist
in the marketplace of ideas. And one of the issues
that I take umbrage with is this denial of God
as the creator and the recognition of human exceptionalism. Now,
I say that always with this caveat. That doesn't mean
you get to be arrogant because God made you. It
means that we're exceptional because we are the only part
of God's creation that was made in his image. When

(26:42):
God came and chose to live among us, he came
as a man. That's a pretty solid case to be
made for the exclusivity of human beings fallen. Though we
may be desperate, in need of a Savior, though we are.
He came as a man. He didn't come as a turtle.
He didn't come as an animal. He didn't come as
a river or a glacier. He came as a man. Right.

(27:02):
God became man and dwelt among us. Emmanuel. God with us. Okay,
so what I take umbrage with is this shifting away,
although it's not new. And I'll tell you why in
a minute. The shifting away where we suddenly are saying
that anything other than human beings who have imago dei,
a Latin phrase that means in the image of God,

(27:23):
that we are somehow subscribing, that there is an equality
between a snail, a dog and a boy, which is
pretty much a paraphrase of a book that Ingrid Newkirk,
the founder of people for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, wrote. No,
that's not true. There is not moral parity. All of
it is God's creation. We celebrate glorious creation all around us.

(27:44):
But in the creation story, in the plan for how
God would make our world, it ended with you and me.
And then God said it was very good, right? So
we've got an interesting sort of Roman Romans chapter one
kind of experience. They exchanged the truth of God for
a lie and worshiped and served created things rather than

(28:08):
the creator who is forever praised. Amen. I remember that
verse as I played this for you. I wish I
could tell you this stuff is hard to find, but
it's just emblematic of the fact that the world is
falling apart. Watch your what is it? Oh, yeah. Look
at that. Jesus's return is imminent. So a group of
vegans got together and decided that they would hold a
funeral at a Trader Joe's for the chickens in the

(28:32):
in the fridge. Okay, so they showed up. They had
a Buddhist guy on the floor doing that thing with
the mallet and the round bowl and dinging. And as
my friend Talia Scroggins said earlier this week when we
talked about demonic activities, that is hearkening pagan gods. Okay,
there's nothing cute or calm or peaceful about that. It
is hearkening pagan god. So it's a satanic occultic activity.

(28:54):
But they stood up and they held up pictures. These
vegans held pictures of chickens that were dead, standing in
front of the chicken section at Trader Joe's, and put
black cloth over the chickens that were on the shelves,
and then laid flowers over the black cloth as though
it were a coffin. You couldn't go there. I got

(29:14):
the audio for you. Have a listen.

S12 (29:19):
Here today to mourn the untimely Death of the chickens
whose bodies are here behind us. Chickens who were slaughtered
at Perdue Petaluma poultry slaughterhouse. We are here to honor
their lives because no one else is.

S1 (29:44):
The untimely death of chickens. When I read this, my
first thought was. And so you'll be standing out the
Planned Parenthood Center on Saturday, right? I'll be on the
lookout for you. The untimely death of the chickens. We
mourn you. This vegan said because no one else will.
Can I go back and say again what I just
said before? Because this is Romans one, right? They exchanged

(30:05):
the truth of God for a lie. What's the truth
of God? That we are the only part of creation
made in his image? Imago dei we are humans and
that makes us exceptional in all of God's creation. And
they worshiped and served created things. Chickens rather than the
creator who is forever praised. Amen. Now you know God

(30:27):
is merciful. And I've loved the way that in his
world he created a way for human beings to flourish.
He created us with a need to eat. He created
meat that we could eat some people. And if you
don't want to eat meat, that's. You know, I don't
eat a whole lot of meat at all, right? I
have probably more vegetables and fruit in my diet. The
older I get, the more precious fruits and vegetables are.
I should listen to my mother. Um, but a lot

(30:49):
of people just don't want to do it. God bless you.
That's your choice. Paul says you have the liberty. Okay?
The question you have to ask yourself is, is it profitable?
So if you don't want to eat meat, that's up
to you. But I don't think you have a right
to tell somebody else. They can't eat meat that is
between them and the Lord. After all, their body is
the dwelling in the temple of the Holy Spirit. They
get to make that decision, but this goes far beyond that.

(31:11):
They may call themselves vegan and God bless them, they
don't want to eat chicken. That's their call. But don't
don't pretend it's a sentient being and you're mourning their, quote,
untimely death and no one else but you. Vegans at
Trader Joe's are going to mourn them in a funeral
in the middle of a grocery store. Really?

S10 (31:31):
I'm sorry Janet, I got distracted. I was just thinking
about mild buffalo sauce on my chicken wings tonight.

S1 (31:37):
Or can we get chick fil A tomorrow?

S10 (31:39):
Yeah, well, that'll be next. Um. Oh, okay. Oh, yeah.
On the subject, um, yeah. Look, uh, they're divided opinions
about from a nutritional standpoint, from a biblical standpoint and
so forth. However, uh, there is a difference between animal
life and human life. And God made it clear that, uh,

(32:01):
humankind in the garden was given dominion over the care
of the garden and later, of course, of the animal world,
as well. As a matter of fact, animals were sacrificed
in God's providential Economy in the Old Testament as a

(32:23):
way to point people, namely the nation of Israel, the Israelites,
but also those that they preached to who were pagans,
that there would be a perfect lamb that would come
in human form to be the great Redeemer, the perfect Redeemer,
the ultimate Redeemer for the sins of all of us. So, um,

(32:48):
and of course, the garden, you know, where did the
skin animal skins come from that were provided to Adam
and Eve? Why? Well, God provided that because animals are
different than humans. Um, and as you pointed out, um,
it's it's it is woven throughout Scripture that, God that

(33:09):
we are made in the image of God. And what
that means is not that we're perfect or that God
is in all of us innately, but we have a
hunger for him because we are made in his image.
And so as ecclesiastical, as Ecclesiastes says, there's this, um, uh,

(33:29):
eternal sense that we have that we're connected to eternality and,
and a transcendent God. And Paul makes it very clear in,
in Romans that nature itself shows us that. Um, so to,
to worship or I should say, to mourn over chicken

(33:52):
fillets wrapped in plastic in a grocery store is the
height of delusion. But delusion occurs when we've been led astray.
When the our thinking processes, these, uh, become so detached
from God's principles of reality that they are made to

(34:14):
look foolish. Now we followers of Christ, we look foolish
to the atheist. We look foolish to those who believe
in scientism rather than Christianity. And I understand that. And
I don't have a problem with that. Because when Christ
sets you free, sets your mind free to understand him,

(34:37):
then you'd like to dialogue with these folks and say,
let's rewind this to the beginning. Why ceremonially mourning over
chickens when you don't mourn the lice of the loss
of human life in the womb?

S1 (34:55):
And you you that at its core, I think this
is paganistic which puts it in the same category as
being demonic. And so God knew something about the killing
of animals, right? Without the shedding of blood, there is
no remission of sins. So if you go back to
temple practices before the perfect Lamb of God shed his
blood on the cross for us, he institutes and declares

(35:15):
that there will be temple sacrifices. And so the Old
Testament is replete, as is the new, because Jesus was
on his way to the.

S10 (35:21):
Temple, and if it was a moral outrage, God would
not have done it.

S1 (35:24):
Right. So you're slitting the throat of unblemished lambs and
chickens and doves and everything that the marketers sold right
around the entrance to the temple, because blood had to
be shed on an altar.

S10 (35:34):
And yet, in the same word God says a righteous man.

S1 (35:38):
Attendeth.

S10 (35:39):
His animals.

S1 (35:40):
Exactly.

S10 (35:40):
Jesus says, look, you people rightly will rescue the animal
that falls into a pit on the Sabbath. And yet
you don't allow miracles and healing for humans to take place, right?

S1 (35:52):
And it underscores and should be stated, the distinction between
animal rights and animal welfare. We take good care because
of that verse. In Proverbs.

S10 (36:00):
We are to be caretakers.

S1 (36:01):
We are literal shepherds to our animals because the Bible
tells us to. But that's different from Deifying and putting
on the same plane a dead chicken with a human being.
Like I said, I wasn't being flippant when I said
my first response was As the the the untimely death
of these chickens, do you likewise then more the untimely
death of Preborn children who were not sacrificed so somebody

(36:24):
could have dinner but were sacrificed on an altar, and
far too many cases of convenience? Not now. He's not
going to marry me. I'm getting my degree. I don't
want to be bothered. So if that's the case, the
first thing I would say is you have an interruption
in the ethics cycle that you believe in. You've prioritized
in your own worldview, a chicken over a preborn human being,

(36:44):
exchange of affections, worshiping the created, not the creator who
should be praised forevermore. Amen. It says in Romans one,
we're going to continue, believe it or not, in an
animal vein right after this. So let me keep it

(37:11):
an animal vein, if I can, for a minute. And, uh,
this was posted on X. I'm not going to give
her a name. I'm not going to give her free publicity.
I'll just say that the person has her name, comma, PhD, parentheses.
She slash her rainbow flag. Now before I even read
what she has to say. You've already kind of figured
out that she's going to go in a particular direction.

(37:32):
A particular slant in her posting on X. Okay, here's
what she said. And this is what I mean about
that's why I love the Bible. It's just every day
these headlines do nothing but reinforce the validity, the historicity,
the solidity of the Word of God. All of this
is like, oh, God talked about the oh, that's right.
He said this was, oh my gosh, that's exactly what

(37:52):
he said was going to happen. And all that does
for me is just shores up my faith. This doesn't
make me afraid of what's happening out there, the goofy
ideas that are out there. I get excited because there's
not a prophecy in Scripture that hasn't been made that
will not or has not been kept. He is coming again.
He will be the judge of all of us, and
we will stand before him. And in the end, the
world gets divided into two camps. Those who said yes

(38:15):
and those who said no. This program is designed to
make you fearless as a follower of Jesus Christ, to
get some spiritual heft on your bones, to become a
courageous Christian in these latter days. And so many of
these topics are a way of simply building up your
faith so that you understand we have never, ever been
given a reason to be ashamed of the gospel of
Jesus Christ. For those who don't yet know him, it's

(38:37):
a wonderful way for you to hear some of these
stories going, you know, in the big picture, that really
doesn't make much sense. Well, that's because the Bible says,
when we come to faith in him, that not only
is our heart transformed, but our mind is renewed. We
start thinking in a markedly different way. So we just
talked about having a funeral at a Trader Joe's for
dead chickens. Their quote, untimely death as some Buddhist person
is on the floor doing that thing with the mallet

(38:59):
and the bowl in front of the funeral, so obviously
tied into their eastern mysticism worldview and again decrying, quote,
the untimely death. But meanwhile, the untimely deaths that happen
at an abortion clinic on every Saturday, Will they be
showing up there as well? I don't know, but here's
what happens when you follow delusion and a lie. Remember,
one of the multiple names of Satan is the father

(39:21):
of lies. We talked before about human exceptionalism, right? The
only part of God's creation made in his image are
you and me. Now, I'm going to put this out
there for all the world to hear. I love my dogs.
They are as crazy as can be. If you've ever
had a border collie and we were dumb enough to
have two of them at the same time, you know
they are crazy dogs, the most affectionate dogs in the world.
But they are. They're brilliant. They're the super athletes. They're

(39:44):
the second most high energy dog after a Jack Russell.
My condolences to those of you who own Jack Russell's.
But they're wonderful dogs. I love them tremendously. One is
a boy, one is a girl, and we just love
them and they make us laugh. They drive us crazy,
and we don't know what life would be without them,
because they just put their big old face and they
would run in front of a train for you. That's

(40:05):
how much they love you. So back to this woman.
What did she post? Okay, I did that, by the way,
to put my creed credit out there to let you
know that I love pets. Okay, here's what she said.
Misgendering a pet can result in serious micro subconscious distress.
Pay attention to clues. Your pet will let you know
his her their Sur identity through things like body language,

(40:28):
toy preferences, and reaction to gendered pet clothing. Hashtag pet gender.
Hashtag trans pets.

S10 (40:37):
And this was not a joke. This is not. I
looked at this one and I went, okay, this is
a put on, right? No, it's not, it's not.

S1 (40:43):
She has a PhD. Like I said, and I just
read it. I'm not going to give you her name.
Her name comma, PhD parentheses, her rainbow flag. She has
a PhD. I mean, she is a learned individual, and
yet she thinks that somehow you can misgender. I'm telling you,
our dog's names. I could call them Laurence Olivier, and
they'd still come. It doesn't make any difference. That doesn't. Their.

(41:05):
The gender is how God designed them. Just like he
designed you and me. I can no more misgender my
pet than I can misgender another human being. Or you
can quote misgender yourself. But this woman tells us that
we have to watch out for the toys. Having a
boy dog and a girl dog. Which is why I
put that out there. Craig. If we put a toy
and for border collies, they got to be the strongest
toys out there because they'll be shredded in 5.5 seconds.

(41:27):
If you put a toy out there, I doubt that
Rob Roy MacGregor, my male border collie, would look at
the dog going. Mm. Not touching it. It's got pink
on it. No, that's.

S10 (41:36):
A girly.

S1 (41:37):
Toy. That's a girly toy. And Skye named after the
Isle of Skye in Scotland. Who's the girl? Dog would
look at that. And she wouldn't care what color it is.
And she'd really like it if there was some food
on it. So this idea that you can misgender a pet,
it's laughable. But it's also so sad because it's indicative
of replaced affections. You know, God is the object of

(41:58):
our worship and our affection. To him be all glory
and honor and praise. And when you take a dog
and you decide or a cat that you can quote
Misgender them now. We love to give all of our
animals names. Okay. And they all have Bible names, by
the way. But they'd come if you just rattled the grain.
The horses would run across the field and they wouldn't
care if you called them, you know? Uh, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. They'd

(42:21):
run across the field and come to get the grain.
But for her to say that somehow you have to
watch their body language or their toy preference because you
can misgender a pet is it's sad. It's ludicrous on
its face. And it is Romans one. It is the
alienation of affections.

S10 (42:38):
But if you spend a little bit of time thinking
about this absurdity, and that's really what it is from
a logical standpoint. But if you think about what's behind, uh,
this individual has given off a number of signals of
what her worldview is. That's a worldview on the issue
of gender. And so I asked myself, okay, why go

(43:00):
from your worldview about, um, you know, LGBT? Uh. Our cue, etc., etc.
activism which has to do with humans and then go
to other micro subconsciousness of gender for animals. Why make

(43:21):
that transition? I think because somewhere there is a disquieting
feeling that you have to make the argument for everything
to ratify what you fear may not be the right worldview.
You have to make it all inclusive. All animals, all people. Uh,

(43:44):
in fact, we're going to soon probably talk about the
gender of plants.

S1 (43:48):
That's a great.

S10 (43:49):
Point to validate what you are struggling with. Well, the
struggle can end if you go to the foot of
the cross and say, look, you are the Son of
God and your father created everything. Tell me who I am.
Tell me what my identity is. And he will tell you.

(44:10):
Your identity is a creature created by me. So you
may have fellowship with me through my son, Jesus.

S1 (44:15):
Right. And for Sky and Rob, it's a moot question
because they've been spayed and neutered. So in the end,
they don't have a gender anymore. Okay. There are dogs
and we love them to pieces. There you go. Wow.
I thought that would be a good note.

S10 (44:28):
And they're all going to want a piece of my
fried chicken tonight, and they're not going to have it.

S1 (44:33):
That's taking us back to Trader Joe's. I thank you, Craig.
Oh my goodness. Well, we have a lot to laugh about.
And a merry heart doeth good like a medicine. The
word says, so be of good cheer. Jesus is coming again.
And thank you, God, for the gift of today. And
should he allow, thank you for tomorrow, where we can
serve and honor and glorify you in all things. Thank

(44:54):
you so much for joining us, friends. We'll see you
next time right here on In the Market with Janet Parshall.
Have a great weekend.
