Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the in This League Fantasy Podcast network, in
This League Fantasy Baseball podcast online at in this League
dot com. Now here's your host, Bogman and the Welsh.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
What's up, friendos of Wigeman. It's the end This League
Fantasy Baseball Podcast. I am Chris Welsh. That is Scott Bogman.
April twenty first edition. For the week. We are looking
ahead for the week of Fantasy baseball, and there were
weird stuff happening all weekend. Records, scores, records, stolen bases,
record scores in innings. I don't know what was going on.
(00:37):
We're gonna be talking about some of the ups and
downs and players injuries, all the statistics from the last week,
and we will kind of compare my weekly sheet in
preparation of the prospects and redraft to watch some of
the guys that I'm picking up and trading, and then
we'll look at some of the other pickups that are
floating out there. So we're getting you a prep for
the week across the board. Bogman and Welsh post Easter.
(01:00):
I just forget Easter, like just moves around and just
it just comes up on you.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
I feel like I haven't been home for an Easter
in like three years. I've been in Phoenix for opening
Day for the last three Easters before this one.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
I feel like I didn't know. Did you Did you
take some time looking for some eggs this weekend?
Speaker 3 (01:21):
No? I didn't.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
Oh you didn't go Easter egg hunting. I would love
one year to host you, give you a little bunny
we have bunny Easter basket, and just watch you hunt
for eggs. I think it'd be great.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
Yeah, yeah, that would be great. Anything else I should do,
I want to see you Easter, I'll do that if
you wear the full bunny at costume, if you're If
you're the Easter Bunny, I'll hunt with egg I'll hunt
for eggs with you.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
So you wear like one of those little like easter
egg like easter outfits, you know, like the little like
blue shorts, a little buttoned up shirt and like a
little bow tie, and you walk around hunting for eggs.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
You know what, if you're the Easter Bunny, sure.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
I'll probably look I'll probably looks for you. I'll probably
look closer to the Donnie Darko bunny if I were
to end up doing it. If anyone gets out of reference.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
There all the kids.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
Yeah, yeah, we did one more round them. My kids
are like what my son is like, just we can
sneak one or two more in. So we almost weren't
gonna then we're like, now we're gonna, like we're gonna
roll out the eggs. And we were hiding them. But
you know what we have to do though, we have
to write down how many we have because we've had
multiple years where we were like, I think there's one
more and we found it a year later and like
(02:32):
melted chocolate and we put money in them and stuff.
So we had to like we had to like map out.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
The eggs, which we found one from a year. Yeah,
we covered in ants, but you know they found it, so.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
Yeah, the ants found it. We found a big ant
hill and that's where we found but we did get
all of these eggs.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
That's hilarious, dude. And I saw Frankie Stamps yesterday talking
about how his parents still get him an Easter basket
and he had it was rice Crispy treat peeps. Oh
that sounds that's a big, super interesting. I obviously don't
like peeps. I've eaten them until I've thrown up on
(03:09):
this show. I felt about that.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
I was about to say, like, I'm not a big
peeps guy. I don't think none of the last time
I had one rice crispy. Anything sounds good. But I
forgot if old old il people would remember this and
what's so and it's really actually funny too is Bogman
had a bet with Howard Bender. And Howard, I guess
is famous for I don't know if he still does it.
He would like go Berzerco with peeps in a day
(03:33):
and he would just spend all day eating a gajillion peeps,
And Bogman made some type of a bet and you
had to eat a bunch. We were on the show.
You were eating them live and then you It was.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
About forty or bar and I think I got to twenty.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
Twenty, yeah, twenty two to twenty three. But the worst
part about it was the place I was at. The
internet got super walked out and when you threw up,
we like kind of lost connection and it screwed up
because we were on a podcast recording it live, and
it kind of messed everything up.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
See what I was doing, which thank god, you wouldn't
have wanted to see it. It was you know, pink
peep barf. It was discussed, but you could hear it
and it was not so much fun. It was terrible.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
We've definitely heard you throw up on too many things.
It's not the only time you've ever thrown up on
a podcast either. Deck Our Balls, Oh my god, yep. Yeah,
the phone call. Yeah, I mean good times, very good times.
All right. A lot of baseball stuff to get to today,
a lot of records and pickups and fun stuff, kind
of prepping you for the week. But if you guys
want go over to end this League dot com and
(04:38):
support the boys, support us over to in this League
dot Com. We got the Patreon, the group me Rooms.
Group Me is kind of like Discord. You can hang out.
We're posting lots of great, great and crazy stuff. We've
got some only streams on Patreon. Bogmin's going to be
doing some NFL drafts. I probably not only on Patreon
at least for day one, but we do those on
the YouTube. I do the weekly streams. I'm going to
be doing two this week. Actually, after we're done recording this,
(05:00):
I'll be jumping on the Patreon supports that. Plus we've
got ranks. I got the sheet Dynasty Ranks, prospect Ranks.
We just got a ton of stuff. At the end
of the day. Support us over at in this league
dot com. That is the Patreon sign up today in
this league dot com. Very easy, very simple. We'd love
to have you. And then on the streams YouTube dot com.
(05:21):
Slash in this League is our YouTube Twitch dot tv.
Slash in this League for the Twitch just follow those
you'll get notifications when we go live if that is
your thing. Our Arizona Diamondbacks had an absolutely zerco game,
but you know what zerco weekend. We had a Zach
(05:41):
Gallon implosion, which I want to talk about in a second.
We had an attempted home stolen base by of all players,
Josh Naylor attempted to steal home but none really lead
up to the ridiculous Friday. I think it was sixteen runs,
(06:02):
was it or eighteen runs or something absurd where the
Diamondbacks scored ten runs in the eighth, but then they
gave up a bunch to the Cubs in one of
the most absurd all times. I believe it was the
most runs in a single inning in Wrigley Field history
between the Diamondbacks and the Cubs.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
Box It was absurd to watch because it was one
of those things. You know, Gino hits the Grand Slam,
we go up tack a couple more runs on there.
I'm feeling fantastic. Then we see Jarvis come in and
Jarvis is miserable. Then Maniply comes in and this was
(06:43):
the big mistake from Tory that is almost unforgivable.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
One of many that he's been making lately.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
Yeah, it's just the bullpen has torched. Like I was
surprised that Ajpuck came in against the Marlins the day
before because he kind of had been worched the day
before that, and then he immediately went on the injured list,
so he wasn't available in this game. But Maniply has
(07:08):
looked god awful. I don't know what he's still doing
on the team. I didn't understand why he was brought
in there because of this. So he gives up the lead,
looks miserable doing it. The Dbacks end up losing a
crazy win for the Cubs. Just I mean adds on
to Kyle Tucker's store at the beginning of this year
(07:30):
is incredible and we you know, we're just It was
one of the more devastating regular season losses.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
I can remember, so a couple of things of that.
Speaker 3 (07:41):
AJ.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
Puck also hit the I l after this game, and
it was elbow inflammation. Horrible. There's worst thing that you
could possibly get. At this point, he's gonna actually he's
hav an MRI today. Actually this second, I think it's
like noon is usually the Diamondbacks schedule.
Speaker 4 (07:58):
Well, checked him into the hospital. Yeah, I didn't out
there today. That's usually the time. It's around that noonish
because there's a facility that's next to the Diamondbacks where
they screwed over. It's just funny because last year I
talked to Edwardo who had to run over there that
two Mondays ago. It was Kattel who left literally.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
At noon because there's an imaging facility next to the
Salt River fields, and Puck is probably getting it at
this moment. Worst case, you know what it is, and
he's gone. Best case, maybe he comes back soon. Here
is the interesting stuff Lavello did say, because there was
right after that an opportunity for a save that didn't
get locked down, and by Justin Martinez it went to
(08:36):
I'm forgetting. They went to Shelby and then Shelby. It
was like, technically a got to win. Well, this is
where I was going to go with it. Lavello ends
up saying, like general soreness is what's going on with Martinez,
which is also not great, but he's shown a propensity
to not go to Martinez a whole bunch before that.
Shelby Miller has been absolutely lights up his fastball. I
(08:58):
didn't think he had given up a run. His fastball
is doing ridiculous stuff right now, better than he's ever
been in too late, Yeah it is, But the whole
weekend it was like anytime he faced Dansby Swans and
everybody jumped up. But what I was getting at is,
I do think there's a possibility you could see Shelby
in a ninth inning because Ginkle's not back and Martinez
doesn't have the full trust. But there's no doubt that
(09:20):
this is an uptick for Justin Martinez as a closer,
so he comes up a couple of notches. But if
you were in big, deep speculative world, I actually think
Shelby Miller might be somebody because we just don't have
Ginkle back yet. But that's that take what I want
to get though, is the next game, our boy, Zito.
Shout out to Zito. He went to the Cubs game.
He instantly messages me as soon as Corbyn Carrol hits
(09:42):
the lead off homer, but then to be in cause
he's a nice guy. He doesn't want to rub anything in.
Zach Gallen does the things I've been worried about, and
you text me Zach Gallen sucks. Zach Gallen now has
a five point six ERA, a point four to three whip.
Some underlying things like expected era is better, but it's
(10:02):
four and a half career high walk at this point.
Strikeouts are as low as they've ever been in his career,
twelve percent barrel. People are getting better looks on the ball,
launch angle, sweet spot is up, expected batting averages up.
My question to you is, are you now worried about Gallon?
Has anything changed for you after this because this is
(10:24):
just consistently not good.
Speaker 3 (10:26):
Yeah, I'm not crazy concerned because the funny thing about
this start was, you know, he gave up these six
runs in the first two innings and then had four
great innings, which he.
Speaker 2 (10:38):
Does a lot. He does this stupid thing a lot
where he blows up one inning and comes back right.
Speaker 3 (10:42):
So I don't know if it's about getting it together.
I don't know if it's about just the fact that
he can't. He has no control with these secondary pitches,
and the fastballs is not impressive. I think that's the
big issue, is when the control goes, everybody just sits
on the fastball, which is not going to blow anybody
(11:03):
out of the water. It's not going to fool anyone.
So I am concerned, but I don't think I'm at
your level of concern. I just hope he gets it
straightened out. But it's at the point now where he
can go either way, and I wouldn't be shocked he
can get it together and really put together a nice
season at this point, or this could be the beginning
(11:25):
of the end and he's just losing his control. So
I tend to think that there's still he's still going
to be normal. Gallon moving forward with inconsistent starts on
occasion like this one. But it's not great, and I'm
moving more and more towards your camp every start for
Zach Gallen.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
Yeah, I mean, and looking here, you know he did
it was over fifty percent fastball zone percentage. But it's
still just not great. I just don't he just doesn't
trust it. Got some called strikes, knuckle curve and changeup.
We're both under thirty or under thirty five percent CENTI
they were not getting the big whiffs. They were not
getting called strikes. He did some slider in here, but
(12:08):
that was I mean, like you could we can look
at the underlying stuff and be like, oh, yeah, you know,
there was no whiffs here and it wasn't in the
zone and stuff. It's just not good. It's the fastball
average is under ninety three. He doesn't command it enough.
His change up, which he likes to back up on,
he's still not doing. He's not throwing that for enough strikes.
And no one is swinging and whiffing on his changeup
and knuckle curve at this point because he doesn't throw
(12:30):
those for strikes and they're just waiting to pound that
frickin' fastball. So I do have a worry of him.
I mean, he throws that fastball, you know, close to
fifty percent of the time. It averaged ninety three exit
velocity in this last start. Like he's just getting hit
hard and I don't know what it is. I don't
know if he's not healthy or it's age or whatever
it is, but he doesn't have that mixture. And that's
(12:52):
and now I think we're moving out of the territory
where it's almost not going to make sense to trade
him because I don't know what those trades look like.
If you're trying to reacquire you wanted to get him
while people still had optimism.
Speaker 3 (13:01):
You think it's seventy five cents on the dollar right now?
If you were holding Gallon, would you trade him for that?
Speaker 2 (13:07):
Just depend what does that look?
Speaker 1 (13:08):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (13:09):
Like, okay, like who would you rather have rest of season?
Zach Gallen or Casey Mys Like, I gotta be honest
with you, I might take Casey Mice for him. It's
probably more of a two two fer, and we don't
do pictuer for pitcher trades, but like, I think there's
a legitimate chance that Casey Mice could be a more
valuable fantasy pitcher than Zach Gallen rest of season.
Speaker 3 (13:26):
I understand that I'm still taking Gallon in that, but
I'm like you, I'm not gonna be like, what, Casey
Mimes was better than Gallen this year? I had no idea. No,
Casey Mice looks great right now and Gallon looks like garbage,
So there is there's obviously the early sample size. I
think I'm gonna rely on Gallon to stick. But I mean,
(13:48):
when when pitching goes, it tends to go, and I
hope that's not what we're seeing from Gallon. And him
coming back for those four innings that we're outstanding, I
think gives me more hope than maybe it should. But
I still see, uh the top line pitcher with Gallon,
it's just he's got to get these blow up innings
(14:10):
under control.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
And that in verse. Maybe it's a it's a by opportunity,
Like I'm definitely open to like where players that it's
such an outlier to who they are that it doesn't
make sense. There's some stuff that is like dramatic outliers.
But I'd also say this, his era has prior to
this year, had gone up three straight seasons. His K
percentage had gone down three straight seasons, his walk percentage
(14:35):
had I guess it, it went from six to six to
five six, up to eight seven. So it's had some
of that trajectory a little bit. I just don't feel
super optimistic, and I still don't. It's a lot of
diamondbacks to the top. But there's relevant stuff in not
just us being like Corbyn Carrel, Corbyn Carrol. It's like,
you know, there's a new closer or at least the
closure trajectories up and Zach Allen looked even worse.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
A couple others, but also Corbyn Carroll, but Corbyn Carol.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
It was like amazing, Yeah, he was incredible. A couple
other big ones. I like how he wrote this. The
Reds have risen twenty four runs on Easter, which I
don't even realize. Oh, Jorge Man, Taylor and Gary Sanchez
gave up nine. I was like, wait, were they on
the Reds? No, they had them men.
Speaker 3 (15:16):
They gave it the last nine runs of the game
after they had already scored fifteen. I mean, just incredible
performance by the Reds. Twenty four runs is insane.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
I was twenty four to two.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
Yeah, I was in the backyard of my cousin's house looking,
I'm like, twenty four what is happening?
Speaker 2 (15:35):
You want to know the most amazing thing, thirteen of
those runs came from the eight and nine hitter. You
had a seven RBI five for seven. Noel Vie Marte
was this is actually absurd. He had three hard hit
balls one oh six, one oh six point nine and
one on one point three. He was five for seven
with seven RBIs. But Austin Wins was six for seven
(15:59):
six RBI. Six hard hit balls in that one. I'm
not I've never seen that, but six hard hit balls.
Austin Hayes had five hard hit balls. He was four
for six, but thirteen of those twenty four runs came
from the eight and nine hitter, which.
Speaker 3 (16:14):
Is what they did on Easter. Like the entirety of
rstids Akino's career, remember when he total like Super Hop month.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
It's so funny. I've been thinking about him, like I
think he was in Japan recently. I'm always interested when
those guys go away for like four or five years
and like what will when will they come back? Like
they got to try another run, you know. I mean,
like Yasol Pligue is he's not coming back, but like
fran Mill's over there for a couple of years, like
he's probably gonna come back. I'm surprised we haven't seen
rstdi Zekenyo even have like a team tryout, but it
(16:44):
won't be for this team Golby Marte very interesting at
third having a huge, huge breakout game, which it's you know,
it's obviously like it's skewed, but it's enough to pay
attention to that, Like they you really might keep him
out there right now because it's like Spinster stears at first,
Austin Hayes is in DH. I'm just looking at their
(17:05):
The thing that we'd have to figure out is if
Cees came back and let's just arguably say they want
to d H him, do they make like Freedom or
Freelia like a fourth outfielder or is it just nope,
Noelvie is gone, you know, and they I mean also,
I'm not counting Jamer in there. It's just a really
weird roster the Reds have that. It's it's hard to
(17:27):
imagine noelv is gonna get regular plane The.
Speaker 3 (17:30):
Closer would make a lot of sense for this team,
right Like, if you don't want to give it back
to Alexis Diaz and the other guys are blowing it,
maybe a bullpen arm would be in line here for somebody.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
What's available though, you know who's selling any good bull
like bullpen arms on the trade market and free agency.
The cost is always so stupid. It just doesn't make
you're right the other crazy thing. So again, this was
a weekend that had the most single runs in regular
history sixteen.
Speaker 3 (18:01):
Let me read this because opt to Stats put this out.
In just the seventh and eighth innings at Wrigley Field,
there were six homers, two grand slams, all four types
of hit, single, double, triple homer, all four types of homer, solo,
two run, three run grand slam, three half innings of
five plus runs. Never in MLB history had all of
(18:22):
that happened in an entire game, let alone two innings.
That's how crazy that Diamondbacks and Cubs. You know, inning
and a half.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
Was chaos number one, Chaos number two, twenty four runs
by the Reds with thirteen RBIs coming from the eight
to nine hitter. But it wasn't done because over the
weekend we also got the Brewers, who not only had
a franchise record nine stolen bases in a game on
sche Lingaliers, but had a franchise record six stolen bases
(18:56):
in the first inning with two doubles steals Shae Langaliers
socks clearly and what a insane I mean those are
the type of things that jump out to us though,
to say, oh, teams have a feel when the a's
are up, and if you like to, like let's say, bet,
or if you like to bet stolen bases, or you
(19:19):
just want to, like, you know, play matchups and stuff
like that. Maybe there is something. I don't know, if
this was just an offset thing that I think teams
are going to run more on Shae Langliers, especially more
so after he allowed this. I mean, the double steels
kind of inflated a little bit. But even if those
weren't double steals and they were singular, that's still seven
stolen bases and that's insane. Six in the first inning,
(19:41):
nine total. Wow, what a weird ass weekend.
Speaker 3 (19:45):
Yeah, I mean nine swipes. And I remember Miguel Maya
had some issues with the Cubs last year throwing out
base runners and then teams started to really take off
on him. And you're right, we're going to see the
exact same thing from Langaliers. It's becoming easier and easier
to steal bases. You see some of these guys. Chandler
Simpson obviously got the call up this weekend and.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
Almost beat out a ground ball. By the way, like
he that's what he does. He almost if it were
a great he is going to start beating out some
groundouts to third and short. This one was just like
a little dinker ground out that he almost beat out.
It's going to be great when he starts doing it.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
Yeah. So, I mean, just it's becoming a bigger part
of the game because the rules have made it so
much easier to steal a base.
Speaker 2 (20:28):
Now, yeah, two other pieces out there. You put this
and I got the next one. But Brios's cry baby situation,
So this is something you wanted to write, so you
felt about it. What's your take on Brios thought that
Cayle Rowley was stealing, like relaying signs and had this big,
like just argument where he's like, yeah, that's fine, that's fine, fine,
and then he just said like that's fine, like twenty
(20:49):
times and then they got into a thing and.
Speaker 3 (20:52):
Yeah, I don't know, I like, why are you being
in a crybaby about this, Brios. It's not like they're
out there hitting trash cans or not using cameras. Stealing
signs from second and relaying them to the hitter has
been a part of baseball since baseball has been around,
So what are you being a crybaby for? I just thought,
you know, this is this is overreach with the policing
(21:12):
of the game. What are we doing? So I just
thought Brios is being a giant crybaby about it.
Speaker 2 (21:16):
I don't know, I don't that one. I know there's
like those unspoken things. I don't think that one's ever gone.
Speaker 3 (21:21):
Not even unspoken. It's part like it's just part of baseball. Like, guy,
if you make your your signs obvious and there's a
guy on this is why you don't give up. You
don't want to give up doubles. You know.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
Well, they're also using the PitchCom stuff, so it's like,
don't tip your pitches because they're not calling signs anymore.
And if they're just doing the PitchCom these guys shouldn't
really be able to relay much, right, But I don't know,
like just like like Brios, I agree, he's kind of
a cry baby. My favorite thing of the weekend, And
I know this was yours and I had it up
(21:54):
the whole show and then I just put it away
just stupidly. Was logan web Joe me about this. Joe
had not seen it logan Web this week had had
a great start, but had an even better interview. He
tried to hold it up. He couldn't do it. Ladies
and gentlemen, Sometimes farts are just too funny, And here's
(22:15):
logan Web proving it, being interviewed in the clubhouse.
Speaker 3 (22:24):
Strikeout. I'm sorry, sorry, farts are always funny.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
It's every time in the list. Can you ask him
a question after that?
Speaker 3 (22:45):
That?
Speaker 2 (22:46):
What I want to know is who is the fart?
Who do you think the fart was in there?
Speaker 3 (22:49):
Now?
Speaker 2 (22:50):
He you know, he's a picture and so pictures would
be near him. Ish, But it also seemed like it
was kind of across the room if you had to
guess who the fart was. For the giants, guess the.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
Far I mean, Pablo Sandoval somehow get into the locker
room again.
Speaker 2 (23:04):
Like you imagine how awful that locker room must have
been back in the day.
Speaker 3 (23:08):
I mean, the walls probably would have been shaken. Wasn't
he drinking Coca Cola like in the dugout? Like? Didn't
he put it in his gatorade bottle? Oh?
Speaker 2 (23:17):
I don't know if he started kser just drinking kool.
Speaker 3 (23:21):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (23:21):
No, guess who do you? Because I think I'm gonna
go with I feel like Verlander would be a good
one for that, but I'm gonna say it's a position
player and I'm gonna go with a vet, not a
young guy. I'm gonna go with Matt Chapman. I think
Chapman is the farder, but I don't know. A catcher
could make sense if they were trying to make their
sure but I don't know. Patrick Bailey is going to
(23:41):
be ripping them.
Speaker 3 (23:42):
Yeah, I don't know. Haleo Ramos, Uh, who's the biggest
guy here. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (23:48):
Maybe they just didn't know. They didn't is a pretty
good guest too though, Okay, yeah, I mean Verlander like
definitely probably wouldn't care. So ripping it and shout out
to Logan Web for the farts are always fun and
attempting to try to be professional in the interview too,
But Logan Web is a national hero. We absolutely love him.
A couple highlights and then some injuries and then we're
(24:10):
going to get into the stats and everything. Trout big
another big weekend, eight homers. We talked about it on
leading off, and we're in this really weird position kind
of like last year. Bogs batting average is down. He
is near the tippy top of the league league leaders
in homers, and we could feel the things were going
to start to turn. He has a one thirty three
(24:32):
Babbot right now, so we know the batting average is
going to turn. The XBA is two seventy seven. The
question is is what's your situation on Trout? Joe keeps
kind of pressing the trade because we're in that exact
same spot as last year. Massive power, massive profile. Still,
strikeouts are definitely a problem. They're up twenty seven percent
(24:52):
by Babbitt is way down. Are you a buyer or
a seller on Mike Trout right now?
Speaker 3 (24:56):
I don't know how you could buy on a guy
with his injury history. So for me, it's a cell
for sure. Lots of homers he's gonna start hitting. I
like you said, you mentioned what was the bappup one thirty.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
Three thirty three he has I think two years ago
it was three thirty something, so it's two hundred points
lower than it was two years ago. Last year was
kind of weird because he never had time to get
out of it before he got hurt. But we're talking
mid you know, load of mid three hundred babups.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
Over his Yeah, wait for him to start hitting. Uh,
you know, more than just homers, because all he's doing
right now is wait. And it was just such an
Angels headline. Mike Trout homers twice, Angels lose three to two,
you know what I mean, Like, it couldn't be more
Angels than that at all. But yeah, I mean, just
wait for him to start hitting, then trade him.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
And then watch him get hurt for the rest of it.
Nine of his been all the time on Mike Trout.
Nine of his fourteen hits are extra base right now.
Eight of those fourteen are homers.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
More homers than singles. That's not going to keep happening. Mike.
Speaker 2 (25:59):
My take was kind of similar to you. Like I
told Joe, I'm like, it's still just I don't even
know why you would entertain trading him right now. I
get the injury thing, but he's batting averages down. It's
not to me, it doesn't make any sense to do
the trade. Now. When it does, is you get twenty
or thirty more games his averages back up, it's two
fifty two sixty's he's you know, fifteen homers at the
(26:19):
end of May and then you're like, he's gonna get
hurt soon, then you trade it, and then that's fine,
trade him at the tippy top. I would rather eat
the production of what I think is going to bounce
back in the hitting profile, then go and trade him
for like, what are you going to get for under
two hundred Mic Trout right now? With an injury history.
No one's gonna no one's gonna sell you something of
(26:40):
what you could get from a Mic Trout that has
gotten into May and is in the you know, top
ten in hitting and whatever like that. Mike Trout someone
like me would probably fool themselves into the whole season.
That's when you trade him. You don't do it right now,
even if he gets hurt. I still think, like you
just still don't do it because I don't see what
that trade looks like, what do you you're not gonna get?
(27:00):
You wouldn't even get Tyle the sooderstorm right now for
a Mic Trout, So like, no, I wouldn't. I wouldn't
do it same.
Speaker 3 (27:06):
I'm I'm holding him until the batting average comes up,
but then because of the injury history, I want.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
To move Hunter Green finally got hit up against the
Giants five and runs, two walks or strikeouts, been cy
Young talk the entire season. We know he was gonna
come back down to earth a little bit, so you know,
you don't want to you don't want to freak out
in any capacity. But I've been a little selly on
Hunter Green because of how high it is. Every Like
(27:32):
those MLB network analysts are like, we should be talking
about Hunter Green in the sight. He just have mess
and it's like he is absolutely incredible. His strikeouts are
back up, his walks are down. Everything looks really good.
But if you're at a point where people are considering
him the top five overall pitcher, I am okay with consolidating.
Did this do anything for you? It's just it's one
bad start. You know, we knew it was gonna happen,
(27:53):
but it you know, it was only three innings, which
is not great. Walks were back up. What's your take?
One like Green start?
Speaker 3 (28:00):
The guys I talked about in the player debates last
week at a bad start, Yeah yeah, And Shane Boz
got rocked against the Yankees as well, like uh and
Carlos Radan had his first quality start or first quality
start since opening day or whatever, like, yeah, it's Hunter
Green didn't look good in this start. I'm not too
where it's against Baltimore. In Baltimore, you know, the lineup
(28:24):
finally came through for them. It sucks. I don't like
it after his hot, hot start, but I'm not gonna
let one bad start ruined my enthusiasm. I still think
he is improving, and I think he could be on
his way to that top five. If someone wants to
give you top five value for him right now, let
them I would take it for sure.
Speaker 2 (28:45):
Where start?
Speaker 3 (28:47):
Huh? That was on Saturday?
Speaker 2 (28:49):
I think, Oh, I think he wrote the Giants but
they're facing Baltimore.
Speaker 3 (28:54):
Yeah. I don't know why I said the Giants. It
was definitely oh.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
Okay that I'm sorry, Yeah, and it was You're one
hundred percent right. It was because I couldn't find because
I'm like, where's the Giant start? Because I want to.
Speaker 3 (29:04):
Okay, Yeah, yeah, that was I think back to back right,
they backed Mullins and then Henderson went back to back
off of him in the first. So yeah, but not
a good start for Gunner or for for Hunter. But
I think I think he is moving towards the next step.
This was a step back, of course, But I think
(29:24):
he's going to be fine. If somebody wants to sell
them because of his bad start get out from under,
then I'm buying that for sure.
Speaker 2 (29:30):
Yeah, it's still well, well, I'm trying to figure out,
like what are those trades.
Speaker 3 (29:35):
Like, I mean, I don't think anyone should be so
I think that it's a little bit irollate to say
that someone would sell them, sell him off a bad start,
they would wait for him to have another good start
and then sell them. That's what should happen.
Speaker 2 (29:46):
But yeah, I mean I think so. I think it's
like a it's a bad time to sell him because
he had the bad start. Let him come back. But
I'm not even sure it's worth it. Again, sometimes these
guys are like what they are going to return instead
of getting off of the place. Don't make sense, Hunter Green,
to me, last week was in the territory of like
it is worth looking if someone's going to give you
some absurd value because he was SP fifteen and now
(30:09):
he could be an SP five and someone's like, well,
if I can get him for an SP ten or
something like that, I want to do it. Then it
made sense. It's a little different now. That start was interesting.
It was almost fifty percent fastball. Usually we see him
like heavy slider, forty percent slider. He really laid off
the splitter, so that might just be one of those
where he just didn't have it. It got hit hard,
(30:29):
he got no whiffs on it. Looks like also got
a couple of called strikes on it, so maybe you're
not throwing it out of the zone enough. That just
kind of reeks of like he didn't have his splitter,
so he leaned on the other stuff and he got
hit up. We'll watch what the next start looks like.
But interesting you mentioned Chandler Simpson. He was called up
on Saturday, one for five with a running RBI, and
then he got his first stolen based on Sunday. Most importantly,
(30:53):
he led off in the first game and then he
went down to nine, so he's going to get leadoff opportunities.
This is why I had him. I had him high
by the way, and no one ever said anything about it,
but I could see people rolling their eyes that Meisner
and Mangum were up on my sheet that I do
with the prospects for redraft. I had him at six
(31:15):
on that list still even with those guys, because the
whole point was listen, if he comes up, he could
lead off, which he did. He's the biggest stolen based
threat on the planet. He's hitting for average, like if
it happens, look out and then all of a sudden
it happened and it wasn't at the expense by the
way of Meisner or Mangum. But it'll be interesting to
see what this team does. Is like in the future
(31:37):
when logets up and everything, but you got to pick
him up and he's kind of running with no pun
intended with this opportunity.
Speaker 3 (31:44):
Yeah, I mean, look, this is one of those all right,
when Chalder Simpsons finally up, I feel like he's up.
So yeah, I mean he's the guy way over those
other guys. And I mean just the potential for stolen
bases and how much he can change you know, wherever
you are in roto or in head to head, that
potential is just it fills you with hope. So yeah,
(32:08):
you need to be adding him. How much did he
go for in like bab budget and stuff. Did you
see any of the I.
Speaker 2 (32:15):
Think I saw some like two hundreds of a thousand,
so you know, some significant process. It just depends what
you needed. The goofy thing is though, that you also
had Caleb Durbin hit the market. And Caleb Durbin is
super interesting because he's third base. Pat Murphy said he's
going to play primary third base the rest of the season.
I've been pretty adamant about this, but I think I
(32:36):
said if he played one hundred and twenty games, I
think it would steal fifty bases. I'm gonna kind of
stick to that, especially if he hits for some average.
Caleb Durbin is a hyper, hyper aggressive base dealer, So
I would say if you lost out on Chandler Simpson,
who's the biggest name, Caleb Durbin is a nice backup plan,
especially when you know like Victor Roldis got hurt, McCarthy's
not hitting. All these stolen based guys that you were
(32:57):
banking on are actually not working.
Speaker 3 (32:58):
Now.
Speaker 2 (32:59):
Getting guys like Derby and Simpson and is huge. So
I love me some Chandler Simpson and Caleb Durbin. You
mentioned the Carlos Verdon, he got the quality start, Shane
bos got rocked. Of course that was out there to
gram who we talked about seven innings, seven strikeouts, quality
start against the Dodgers, but they still lost. That was
probably one of the more encouraging things we could have
(33:20):
had because things had just been a little bit weird
and wonky. Do you remember when that start was? Was
that Saturday?
Speaker 3 (33:27):
Thank you? Was Saturday. It could have been Friday, though,
but yeah, this was. You know, we're starting to be
worried about to Gram and going out against the Dodgers, especially.
I bet there are some people that did finally bench
him and then he goes out and has his best start,
still lost, like we said, but yeah, I mean, just
(33:47):
happy to see him get back on track. And if
you were able to make a move early because someone
was super paranoid, then great. But obviously no one should
have been moving off to Moram after a slow start.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
So here's the start, seven inning, seven strikeouts. He gave
up five hard hit balls. This is really interesting though.
In that game, Yamamoto had twenty swinging whiffs, a lot
of big whiffet incredible. He's been incredible. I was thinking
Mackenzie gore to twenty eight swinging whifs versus the Rockies.
Yamamoto is like Cy young Worthy, Jacob de Gram only
(34:21):
had eight swinging whiffs the Dodgers start. No, but I'm
saying he had seven strikeouts. He only had eight total
whiffs last two years. I mean, when he's out there,
Jacob de Gram is in someone where you caveat the team.
Jacob de Gram dominates absolutely everybody. So credit to him
that he was able to make those whiffs count in
like three strike territories. He threw an absorbent amount of
(34:44):
called strikes, which is probably his problem before he had
twenty four called strikes and he only had eight total whiffs.
Bad wif percentages on the fastball slider was okay, he
got but he was in the zone a bunch of
called strikes. I'm guessing maybe pitching from behind a little
bit too, just kind of changing the mix. Maybe it
(35:04):
was part of it. But the strikeout game was a
super low whiff one and it was more primary fastball
and then the v low That's the only thing I
wanted to look at. Where was his vilo at Villa
was up in this start. So we'd also been talking
about the VLO being down about a half a mile
up not much on the slider, but the fastball was
up about a half a mile, So just something to
watch out for. I mean, it's amazing getting the stats
(35:25):
versus the Dodgers, but just slow, low swinging with stuff
like the Dodgers are pretty wiffy right now, Like you
can get some strikeouts versus them, you're also gonna probably
give up, you know, eight runs. But you know they
are swinging through with guys like Max munciam Pajas out
there that that just that surprises me a little bit,
but still encouraging. I guess about chio.
Speaker 3 (35:44):
Just looking real quick. The Dodgers are, Yeah, they twenty
two point nine percent. That's uh, what would that be seventeenth?
Speaker 2 (35:55):
Yeah, So that's what I'm saying. They're like middle of
the pack, Like they're they're striking out. They're not the
the Padres and the Diamondbacks don't whiff and strike out.
Blue Jay's like, you don't really want to go strikeout
propping against those teams, but you can against the Dodgers.
It's just a to me, that's a weird outing by
the grom It's like you very efficient, You threw tons
of strikes, but you didn't get a lot of whiffs,
(36:17):
So like, is your stuff still not swinging and whiffing
like that lowers the strikeout potential for him, But we'll see.
Maybe it's again. It's all. The other thing we talked
about was like potential slow run for him to get
going this season. They might want him to really slowly
ramp up the season so he stops getting hurt. He
should keep getting hurt all the time. Also, East and
(36:38):
Lucas were officially done with two starts fourteen earned runs.
We can end the Eastern Lucas Fund. The brad Lord
East and Lucas us trying to be cute. Let's not
be cute anymore. No more Easter and Lucas.
Speaker 3 (36:51):
I mean it was nice, wall, it lasted and it's over.
Speaker 2 (36:54):
Injuries. We had White Langford activated from the IL as
well as well as Netto, Liam Hendricks and Brian Bayo
activated on Tuesday, so some key activations for teams. Hendricks though,
I don't know if he's going to get any save opportunities.
They did the today. The game actually went early. Slaton, yeah, Patriots,
(37:15):
it's justin. Slayton got this safe and the world as
Chapman came in the eighth and that might have been
a high leverage thing. I don't know. Maybe that opens
up Hendricks to save opportunities, but he might be third
on the list, so my interest is minimal. BYO interest
is minimal. Obviously Langford and Netto is a huge so
you get them back and also Netto back. Very interesting.
(37:38):
It's another middle infielder that potentially could if Kyrien' struggles
could take him out, even though he's not playing short.
Tyler Glasnell left his start on Sunday with you said,
it's an ankle injury. I thought it was like a
like a hammy or something was.
Speaker 3 (37:51):
I think his was. I think there was somebody else
with a hammy. That was jeff Jeffrey Springs. Yeah, Jeffrey
Springs has removed Sunday after that world I believe as
a as an ankle. I think he hit, didn't he?
Speaker 2 (38:03):
Yeah, I think it was. I don't think it was
a big deal is I guess maybe the main thing
whatever it was, it wasn't a huge deal. He left
Jeffrey Springs. It's kind of brutal right now. The most
brutal though, was Luisa Rise who left the game on
Sunday and he was taken to the hospital after a
collision with Mauricio Debon he was a little bit before this,
I guess released from the hospital, so things might be okay.
But I mean that's that was a nasty carry.
Speaker 3 (38:27):
And then you saw the one the day before that,
where who was it that ran into Allan.
Speaker 2 (38:32):
Road and ran into brick wall?
Speaker 3 (38:36):
Te Les acted like a fly landed on him.
Speaker 2 (38:40):
I mean, it's like a child for him. If you're
ever like, hey, try to move me, you know, a child,
and a child runs at you and nothing happens like
That's what it looked like. Tos was a absolute bricks
house and there was no movement.
Speaker 3 (38:53):
So there's there's a funny video I've seen a bunch
of times of a lady trying to this guy's fishing,
and this lady decides that she's the police of the
river or stream or whatever parent.
Speaker 2 (39:05):
Type of thing.
Speaker 3 (39:05):
Yeah yeah, and she runs up on him and tries
to like shoulder him into the river and he doesn't
budge and she falls right it. It looked exactly like that.
Mind you browdy to last one?
Speaker 2 (39:16):
Yeah, mind your business people. Mark Vento's ben Rice Heston
kirsted All did not play on Sunday. The ben Rice
one is not super great nor Viento's, but both have
not been put on the i L yet.
Speaker 3 (39:28):
Yeah, they did. They did X rays for Ben Rice.
He's all good. I think you just had an enormous
bruise on his arm. So they went ahead and gave
him the day off on Sundays, so hopefully he'll be back.
I think they play later today.
Speaker 2 (39:40):
Yeah, we need him back. I haven't you haven't seen
the MLB lineups. I will be jumping on a live
stream over look at some MLB lineups and stuff, so
I'll probably have this episode up right before. But just
again make sure you, especially the twitch twitcht tv slash
in this league, follow look for notifications. I like to
jump on if I'm pregame and we can look at
lineups and stuff and see if Ben Rice is out there.
(40:01):
Ezekiel Tovar was placed on.
Speaker 3 (40:02):
Ben Rice is not out there, by the way I'm
looking right now, it's Judges Dhing, So another day off
for Ben Rice.
Speaker 2 (40:10):
Zeko Tovar is placed on the IOW with left hip inflammation.
AJ Puck as we mentioned on the IOW with left
elbow inflammation MRIs today and Jack later making another making
minor league rehab start on Tuesday. Which should get him
back in the rotation pretty pretty soon. Those are some
of our injuries. Let's take a break. When we come back,
we will look at the stats, and we will look
(40:31):
at the sheet. We'll look at my sheet for some
prospects to stash. What that list looks like. Who I've
got in my top ten pickups. I've got some deep pickups,
and we will kind of get you set for the week.
We'll do more right after this. Hey, in this league,
look at us? Who would have thought not made? Who
(40:52):
would have thought not made? All right, let's talk about
some hot start pitchers from the week. He mentioned Yamamoto
on the season, by the way, absolutely, as you wrote here,
Cruise control three and one, twenty nine innings, a sub
one jare a sub one whip. He has been pretty
(41:13):
pretty good man, and he looks like he's in that
Cy Young contention.
Speaker 3 (41:16):
You know, I was listening to Sleeper in the bus
and Justin Mason talked a lot about Japanese pitchers in
their second year tend to that's when they tend to
take their big jump. You know they've adjusted culturally.
Speaker 2 (41:28):
The league is adjusted to them, and they can adjust.
Readjust one hundred percent.
Speaker 3 (41:32):
And I mean, Yamamoto looks outstanding right now, so big
ups to him.
Speaker 2 (41:39):
Yeah, I mean, and he I think the idea of
like how it can continue, it's going to like level
out a little bit. But I think he legitimately belongs
in that race, and more importantly for fantasy, like it's
a really amazing value. You know, one of those guys
that was like into the teens, who might be a
top ten guy rest of season. He just looks locked in.
Speaker 3 (41:58):
Let me ask you about Sassak because we're going to
go over you know, mainly really hot starts or last
couple starts are pretty good. I just put some interesting
names here for you to talk about. But Sasaki threw
five starts on one nineteen point two innings, pitch three
two o E ra is fine, one four seven whip
is bad, sixteen walks, sixteen strikeouts. I mean, it's it's
(42:22):
looking very mediocre from Sasaki so far.
Speaker 2 (42:26):
Super mediocre man. And I will kind of go back
to what I did on MLB fan Fest for Fantasy Pros,
brought on Lance Brasdowski, and that was one that was
actually the only segment I hosted. I was just analyst
of her and I wanted I wanted to host that
one specifically, and I wanted to talk about Lance, and
I started the show off with Roki Sazaki and he
(42:46):
kind of came right out the gates and was like, yeah,
you know, the slider kind of stinks, the split fingers amazing,
the fastballs mediocre, and he's got the makings of a reliever,
and it was like, WHOA. I think obviously that it's
a bit dramatic and there's so much time to progress
and stuff like that. But his fastball is mediocre. It
(43:08):
does a ten percent whiff rate. He's hitting ninety six,
it does a two forty four average against, but a
three thirty expected average on the fastball, So you got
to do stuff with your other pitches. His split finger
is devastating. It barely gets hit. It's one eighteen average
with a one thirty expected and ginormous whiff rates on it.
(43:29):
And his slider is actually doing okay, it's actually getting
some whiffs. It doesn't have any real batting average against
right now, but he's over fifty percent on the fastball
and that thing is kind of getting banged around right now.
So it's really going to be about like how he
can throw. You know, these split fingers for for strikes
(43:51):
because here's the other thing, eighty eight percent zone contact
percentage against him. So it's like when he is throwing strikes,
which is probably primary fast, he's getting getting beat. He's
getting banged, and I don't know when that is going
to change right now because there's this weird extension stuff.
It's pretty mediocre.
Speaker 1 (44:08):
Man.
Speaker 2 (44:09):
I'm not into him. He's not a bye to me.
I had no interest this year. It's a dynasty play.
But things are not great right now. But I think
there's plenty of time to rework a lot of this,
especially when you have a split finger like that.
Speaker 3 (44:21):
Let's see, next three starts are really good? Is it
sell or is it okay? Now he's adjusted, Now he's
starting to look good. Let's ride selling or writing if like,
the next three are much better than these first five.
Speaker 2 (44:34):
To me, it's a cell. To me, it's a sell
off of him because I think I don't know what
the innings you can press him in this season. There's
been the injury stuff, there is kind of mediocre performance.
That would be an opportunity where I am trying to
get out from him again in redraft, not in Dynasty,
not really trying to do that in Dynasty.
Speaker 3 (44:53):
I have some questions about the rest of the guys
I put on this list, Like through four and five starts,
we've seen Casey miz As great three and one, twenty
four point one innings, pitch two to two, ERA A
point nine to five, whip, seven walks, eighteen strikeouts. Ivaldi
has been outstanding two point six fourty r A point
seven to five, whip, two walks, thirty one strikeouts and
(45:15):
thirty point two innings. And Mackenzie Gore another thirteen strikeout
performance the other day two and two three four one
e r A one two one whip, eight walks, forty
five strikeouts.
Speaker 2 (45:27):
Leads a league, he leads the league in strikeouts, leads the.
Speaker 3 (45:29):
League in strikeouts. Mackenzie Gore has been incredible. I have
Aldi's been putting these good starts together. You mentioned Casey
myz versus Zach Gallon. You know, are are any of
these guys a sell for you or would you want
to hold? Because what they're doing is looking real good
right now.
Speaker 2 (45:49):
Mackenzie Gore probably stands out as the guy to sell.
I just don't think. I just don't think I am
you know he he As I mentioned, he reworked the stuff.
The fact the fastball is actually getting hit, it's actually
kind of surprising. It's over three hundred batting average right now.
The curveball expect a batting average is down into the
like the one twenties. He's throwing the slider again, which
(46:11):
is a big wiff pitch. He has five pitches thrown
check this out. Of his five pitches, four have a
forty two or higher percent withfth percentage against. He has
four of five pitches that is forty two or higher
on the wif Also the check this out, three of
those five pitches have a fifty one or higher K percentage.
(46:36):
The curve or the changeup is forty four and the
fastball's twenty. Those are elite strikeout potential he's getting like
I just think like three and a half with two
hundred plus strikeouts is in tow for McKenzie Gore. I
just don't see why you would sell him. Ivaldi, I
think is just like a good core player. You know
you're gonna get your wins, You're gonna get solid outings.
(46:58):
I don't believe the strike is good.
Speaker 3 (47:00):
You're not gonna get back what you invested in him
because it was so cheap.
Speaker 2 (47:03):
Just ride it, right, Yeah, mis is the one. I
mean I was saying, like Myz over Gallon earlier. I know,
that's an interesting one. He's not really putting up big
K numbers. His walks are kind of creeping back up.
But also it's an expected one point eighty one batting
average against, like no one's doing anything against him. And
when you look at the expected numbers, they're just not
(47:25):
great either. And I mean, I'm sorry. Expected batting average again,
so forcing fastball and split finger he throws fifty he
called fifty nine percent of the time, one twenty five
and one forty three batting average against the expected forcing
expected average is a little bit higher, it's in the
two thirties. That's still not great. The slurve the third
pitch he throws to eighty six and expected one twenty eight.
(47:48):
So he's just inducing, like his pitch makes is really good.
He's not inducing contact. Strikeouts are not there. Maybe Myz,
you know, maybe if people go ballistic about Ma's number,
former number number one overall, pick I think I have
a hold on all three of these guys though.
Speaker 3 (48:03):
Yeah, I think I am too. They just have started
out so well. Cheap investment, getting a lot of really
good stuff from them. A couple other guys. I'm interested
in your take on Luis Ortiz his last two starts
ten and two thirds, five hits, three earned, five walks,
eighteen strikeouts, two point five three eer a point seventy
(48:24):
five with Andrew Abbott has only had two starts so far,
but eleven innings pitched, four hits, two earned, three walks,
sixteen strikeouts. Tyler Anderson has been good through four. Jake
Urbans last two starts he has fifteen strikeouts and only
one walk and two earned runs. They were at Pittsburgh
and at Colorado. That's at Colorado games. So is there
(48:44):
anyone that stands out of this group? These guys kind
of coming on recently.
Speaker 2 (48:50):
Andrew Abott's kind of interesting to me. He's put up
some remember it was like two years ago, I think
in minor leagues he put up some absurd a different ball,
but he put up some crazy K numbers. So he's
got only two starts in, but it's a forty percent
K percentage, only nineteen percent hard hit rate against, and
it's a one six four ERA expected era is under
(49:14):
two as well. But fastball Velo is down quite a
bit and he's changing up his pitch mix. He is
secondary change up and then he's going curve and sweeper.
So he's really and he was his second most huge
pitch the previous year was the sweeper. That's down from
eighteen percent down to nine percent. He's getting a bunch
(49:36):
of whiffs right now, batting average against he's throwing strikes.
Abbott to me, is kind of interesting because of the
crazy K numbers. I think Irvin is a fun one.
I'm not into Ortz. I don't think I'm super into
Tyler Anderson. I think a lot of these guys all though,
are like hyper streamers though. That's where they kind of
stand out to me.
Speaker 3 (49:57):
Yeah, I don't think that there's any thing enormous on
any of them, but I do think they're putting it
together and they're definitely interesting names right now for you know,
if you just need to rotate out that last picture spot.
Speaker 2 (50:11):
Well, it's also interesting when we look at the pickups
on my sheet. I've got some pictures on there. Abbott
would be a guy that could almost make it. The
problem is I'm using like Yahoo percentages. There's still some
really good pictures we're going to talk about. Let's talk
about last week. On the hitting front, your leaders, Kyl Rall,
Tatis homers four homers apiece. Kyle Raley is still up there.
(50:33):
Tatis though, looks like the frickin' man. Is it crazy
seeing the bounce back of like Tatis and Carol just
at the tippy top of the league and a lot
of those first rounders are they're still kind of holding,
but Tatis is on just an absolutely another plane. Kyle
Rally as well. Always with the let me look at
the batting average, because the batting average, we know the
(50:55):
homers have always been there. Nine homers, but yeah, he's
hitting two forty four. It's expected batting average is better
than his actual average. Do you buy him as a
top catcher right now? Would you overpay if you like?
I guess you can't do it too even in a
single catcher league like you like. Okay, from a rank perspective,
we're gonna do this in like a week or so.
(51:16):
I'm gonna give you my updated Uh, we'll do this
like once a month. I do rest of season ranks
and fantasy pros. Do you think cal Rally should be
the number one catcher in fantasy.
Speaker 3 (51:26):
I mean, I don't see why not. You know, he's
hitting so well right now. We know the power has
always been there. He's got nine homers. Yeah, I mean
he's still only hitting two thirty three. I don't think
he's changed much from the guy that we know. But
homers are coming in bunches right now, so yeah, I
get it probably should be.
Speaker 2 (51:47):
I think he's going to be there because it's like
Adley's fine, but it's just the it's the counting stats
output which is going kind of bizerco for cal Rally,
So I wonder if he belongs there in the hits department.
Judge and Hayes led the way. Austin Hayes. Number two
was Kerry Carpenter or Gavin Lux. We got a ton
of Austin Hayes last week. He's dhing. I think I
(52:08):
think it was today or he is later today Austin
Hayes has been or no, that's when we were looking
at the lineups with Noelvie Marte four to twenty nine
average three homers on the season. Right now, he's absolutely
murder balling the ball. Hard hit numbers barrel percentages are
way up. He is benefiting from this ballpark. Do you
think Austin Hayes is a must own player?
Speaker 3 (52:30):
I mean it's hard to say must own with the
Reds like roster situation like he laid out a little
bit before. But I mean he's as close to must
own as they come. I feel like, so he's definitely
a priority pick up for sure, must own. I think
maybe overreaching a little bit, but he's been great. I
(52:50):
want him, I'll say that for sure.
Speaker 2 (52:53):
Yeah, you know, I gotta tell you, I am actually
looking at this, the consensus rank between him. I'm gonna
have to make an adjustment on my sheet because I
just don't think I noticed this. His consensus roster percentage
between Yahoo and ESPN it's only fifteen percent Yahoo, it's
nineteen percent. Looking at my list, I'm gonna make this
adjustment on the fly. I'm actually gonna ask you this
(53:13):
real quick. Austin Hayes or Victor Scott. Victor Scott's been
kind of coming down to earth a little bit.
Speaker 3 (53:19):
Which I just think I still want Victor Scott.
Speaker 2 (53:23):
Salf Freelick or Austin Hayes.
Speaker 3 (53:27):
I think I still want self Freelick.
Speaker 2 (53:29):
I think what I'm gonna do is Austin Hayes was
not on this list. I'm gonna put Hayes above Scott,
but we're gonna go under free Lick and he is
only what I say, seventeen percent on Yahoo. And that's
gonna knock off a guy on my sheet and I
hadn't even noticed that. So live adjustment. Austin Hayes has
been going absolutely ballistic. Hitting profile looks great. I think
(53:50):
he loves hitting in Great American and he's getting like
pretty solid points in the lineup. Things to watch for
is is this like overinflated. His actual zone contact percentage
is down and he's got a four to seventy four Babbitt,
so like he's going to come back down to earth.
But how much does this ballpark in this lineup protect him?
So you don't want to go ballistic about it. But
(54:12):
Austin Hayes has definitely been really good. Also, my love
for Kerry Carpenter just continues. I think he got banged
up yesterday, but he continues to just be a frickin
monster for that Tigers team. Five homers, three point fifteen
batting average. He is a in theory. He's a strong
cy platoon guy, but he is getting at bats versus lefties.
I don't even think I noticed that this year two
(54:32):
of his homers have come against lefties. He's not all
primary right, This is a great sign for him. Lower
K percentage two eighty three, expected batting average off of
three point fifteen. I'm a buy on Kerry Carpenter.
Speaker 3 (54:45):
IM sure he's been outstanding. Yeah, Carry Carpenter is definitely
a mustn't can't make.
Speaker 2 (54:50):
Can't make the sheet though, sixty nine percent nice on
Yahoo Big Hits runs Tatis and Harper nine for Tatis,
eight for Harper in the past week, that's pretty the normal.
RBI's ten. Torkalsen led the way. Carol and Harper had nine, Hayes, Hoskins, Soda,
Strum and Soto had eight. Spencer Torkosen spency Torky continues
(55:11):
to roll. Do you think Torkosen deserves to move up?
That list? A fun thing we'll do in that week
or so when I do my rest of season ranks,
like figuring out, like where do you put Torkosen? Do
you think Torcosen is a top fifteen first baseman right now?
Rest he sees.
Speaker 3 (55:28):
Do you know where he ranks right now? Just like
I'm looking at Yahoo a first baseman. M hm, I
would guess.
Speaker 2 (55:35):
I mean it's probably two, but I'm gonna guess like two. Okay, Yeah,
soda Strum is one and he's two.
Speaker 3 (55:40):
Sodastrom is one, he's two, Alonzo is three, and then
Josh Naylor and Bryce Harper twenty and twenty two. So
I mean two eighty eight seventeen runs, twenty one RBI.
He's has one swipe and seven bombs already. He is
just I mean, this is the ultimate bounce back. And
I'm glad I moved him up and drafted him in
a couple of spots before the seasons start.
Speaker 2 (56:01):
You know what he's doing too. He's hitting both righties
and lefties. To eighty three against righties to ninety six
against lefties. That is some consistent contact that a guy
like him has to have. UH, strikeouts are still pretty high,
but hard hit numbers are there. wOBA Wobacon x Wobicon
expect a batting average around two sixty sixteen percent barrel.
So he's like coming back to earth a tiny bit,
(56:22):
but it all looks really good, and he has a
two to fifty average or higher against the three major
pitch types off speed, breaking and fastball. All two fifty
are higher, but I will say breaking and off speed
expected is two twenty two or lower. So we'll see
like how he comes back down to earth. But his
values up there stolen bases Terrang with five and Ellie
(56:43):
with four? Did that count yesterday's output too?
Speaker 3 (56:47):
I think? So, I'm not one hundred percent sure on
those things. Yeah. Actually, let me look at uh fangrafts.
Yes it did.
Speaker 2 (56:54):
I could even do last seven days here on Fantasy pros.
And let's see if he's up there just with all Yeah, yeah,
he has five.
Speaker 3 (57:03):
Your league leader is Oneil Cruz with ten for the season.
Uh Terrang has eight, PCA has eight Tatis and menez
Lou Bob, Ellie south Relick, and Victor Scott all have seven.
Speaker 2 (57:18):
Good to see Ellie getting back into it. I want
to see Carol get more into it though.
Speaker 3 (57:21):
I want to had three, I guess in one game.
Speaker 2 (57:24):
Yeah, I'd rather have it like I want to see
spread out. I want to see him running aggressively more
or just playing every game. Yeah, exactly, But Terrang is
up there treyng having a very sneaky season on that average,
stolen bases, kind of moving around the lineup, so love
to see that. And then batting average Gavin Lux last
week Destroyer of Worlds, he was up there with hits
four sixty two average. Judge was in the four forties.
(57:47):
Kerry Carpenter, Hayes Seeger and our boy Haven Haven getting
on my list two of the pickups. The short side
platoon guy, you must own where did the sheet go?
Lux or Pen? Who'd rather have? I?
Speaker 3 (58:06):
I think Lux right now, just because I don't know.
It's really a coin flip. Honestly, it's what position.
Speaker 1 (58:14):
Do you need?
Speaker 2 (58:15):
By the way, he's hitting three nineteen on the year
as no Homer's one stolen base, nine runs, nine RB Guys,
he's not like he's hitting a bunch, but he's not
doing anything because he's lower in the lineup.
Speaker 3 (58:25):
I think there's a bunch of really good first basemen
in outfielders right now.
Speaker 2 (58:30):
So that's fair positional stuff. But peven should probably qualify
an outfield in most spots.
Speaker 3 (58:35):
Yeah, that's true. There's a decent amount of overperforming outfielders.
I feel like too. Jung hou Lee Seder Mullen's PCA
is incredible.
Speaker 2 (58:45):
And none of those guys are available.
Speaker 3 (58:47):
Yeah, yeah, No, I'm just looking at over performers and like,
you know, who is which position has more depth? I
don't know, man, Honestly, it's a coin flip. I I
because it's paying for power, it's lucks if you need average,
let's go with that, Okay.
Speaker 2 (59:03):
Yeah, I mean the negative to Pavent is the platoon situation,
but the positive is everything else. He hits in the
middle of the lineup. When he's there, there's huge run scores.
He's a big power threat. LUs just doesn't you know,
he doesn't hit in big RBI opportunities. But I could
see it. I could see where people would like either
one of those. So those are some of your big
performers over the last week. Let's end this bad boy
(59:26):
out with my sheet. So we'll go over some of
the stuff on the sheet you can check out over
on Patreon. We'll start with the we'll go to the pickups,
and we'll end with some of the prospects stuff On
the pickup front, I have two areas. I've got forty
percent or under and then I've got the deep pickups.
So we will just talk about my top five on
the pickups under forty. You can see the top ten
(59:48):
on the sheet, and then I'll give you a couple
of the names on the unders. Number one. He's only
forty percent on Yahoo, so we're still talking about it.
I know, highly competitive leagues, he's not. I just want
to throw this out. Johnathan Mona is number one on
the list out there, I will say, with how crazy
like a lot of analysts are going and talking about him.
(01:00:09):
He's a little bit of a trade candidate for me
too if we're going into hyper crazy mode. But right
now forty percent on Yahoo, which makes him less when
you put on ESPN. If he's out there, he's the
number one pickup.
Speaker 3 (01:00:21):
Yeah, I mean a lot of people were talking about him.
I feel like it was Jonathan Ronda and Davisondalos Santos
like early in the offseason as who's your super deeply sleeper,
and those two guys were the ones. Obviously Dla Santos
sent back to the miners before the season started, but
Ronda has been crushing it. Currently ranks seventy one on
(01:00:44):
Yahoo's list, twelve runs, four homers, thirteen RBI three fifty
five average. He is easily your number one pickup if
he's available. Yeah, yeah, forty percent is kind of crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:00:54):
Forty percent on y'all. It may be like, I mean,
I ran this this morning.
Speaker 3 (01:00:58):
By the way, sixty percent right now. Yeah, okay, I
got twenty four hours.
Speaker 2 (01:01:04):
So here's something that could have happened to Fantasy pros.
The the stat scraper they have, I don't know if
it runs or when it runs twenty four hours. I
think over the last like, I think waiver period could
have maybe affected some of this because it shows forty
percent as of this morning, so I don't know if
they've scraped all that.
Speaker 3 (01:01:21):
So yeah, it could have been just waivers processing this
morning too.
Speaker 2 (01:01:24):
Yeah, that's what I said. Number two Jacob Wilson thirty
nine percent. I think he's in that range. Me and
Joe had this conversation of like, Kyrien Paris versus Jacob Wilson.
I'd actually had it a long time ago, even before
the I had to defend Kyrien Paris saying that. Listen,
I think Jacob Wilson probably the better long term guy,
especially in that ballpark. I think he is in the
(01:01:47):
like must own territory for batting average if the homers
keep peeking. But you do know he doesn't steal bases
and he doesn't have a lot of homer potential, so
it's a little empty ish. But I just think he's
been hitting. He really shouldn't be sitting out on a
ton of wires. So he is number two. Do you
think Wilson? Do you think Ronda and him belong in
that range?
Speaker 3 (01:02:05):
I definitely think so three fifty four. I know it
doesn't hit a bunch of homers, but that ballpark will
give him some. And he is still forty one percent
roster on Yaho, so go get.
Speaker 2 (01:02:15):
Him my top pitcher under forty Right now, I'm going
with with Nesky. I know this is messy because it was, like,
you know, like Logan Henderson just got called up and
was amazing. But I think he got optioned just a
little bit ago as well, and the percentage just might
mess with it. But I still like the strikeout potential
of with Nesky. So he was number three, number four.
(01:02:35):
I am higher on Pavin than you. Apparently he's twenty
percent owned on Yahoo, probably a little bit higher. I
just think he needs to be up there because it's
outfield in first base he's hitting like crazy. He's getting
those at back of the lineup too, middle the fricking lineup.
I think he's number four, and then number five might
surprise you. I put Amelio Pagan on there because he's
still a lesser owned relief pitcher thirty six percent. I
(01:03:00):
don't know if Alexis Diaz is still the guy. I
don't know if I'm dumping fab Aton on Pegan, but
I just think he should be owned since he's not
in a lot of places for the top end guys.
And that does leave some other big names on the
rest of the ten, which you can check out there.
But what do you think about the Pagan one.
Speaker 3 (01:03:16):
I'm not really with it. I he blew his first
opportunity the other day, right like, or one of his
opportunities the other day. I think Alexis dis is more
about let's see what he has, you know when he
comes back before, just throwing him right in this role,
and I think Diaz will get it back. So Pegan
is fine. I don't think I would have him this
(01:03:38):
high on the like you have a couple of guys
below him. I feel like I knew about.
Speaker 2 (01:03:41):
Yeah, and that might be the case. By the way.
It's funny, I just realized I had Austin Hayes and
my fifteen percent and under list, but you know, he
updated a little bit higher, so I just made that change.
You can check out those guys. I just think in
the speculative save market, we're pretty low on guys like
if Bednar is still out there after being called up,
like I'd pick up Bednar, But I just don't think
there's a ton There is a world where Pagan continues
(01:04:03):
to get saves, it's just not guaranteed. In the fifteen
percent or under range. Number one, I still got Cameron Meisner.
He's like fourteen percent on Yahoo. Even though Chandler Simpson
comes up. I kind of feel like Mangum is the
fourth outfielder or the guy that gets kind of binged,
so I still really like him. Also on this list,
(01:04:24):
Matt Mrvis, who we had talked about six percent ownership,
hits in the middle of the lineup with big power,
And I threw this out here, as I said, at
the top, Shelby Miller two percent owned. It's a pure
speculative save type of thing. I might look at that
maybe he gets some opportunities, especially if they're mentioning some
general soreness fatigue out of Justin Martinez as well. Let's
(01:04:45):
be on the lookout for Shelby Miller again. When you're
in the low ownership speculative market, that probably speaks more
to deeper league teams where you are playing that because
like in ten team leagues, you really shouldn't be paying
attention to anybody under fifteen percent owned at this point.
Speaker 3 (01:05:01):
Yeah, for sure, I we heard anything on Ginkle because
I think if Ginkle has still not done anything, Shelby
Miller just becomes way more valuable. I don't see anything,
just that they put him on the eyel before the
season started.
Speaker 2 (01:05:17):
Yeah. So last week when I was there, I had
just missed it that Ginkle and gravemen both through a
session and then they were supposed to the Actually when
I was there on or whatever day it was, he
was supposed to throw. We were supposed to see Ginkle
and he didn't. I think he's gonna throw a little bit,
maybe a little rehab. I think he's relatively close. But
(01:05:37):
I guess my main point is like that it's like
even if he's if any of it is or isn't,
like I think Shelby's a guy that's going to get
some looks, and if something happens with Martinez, I do
think Ginkle would get the job. But yeah, committed to anybody,
so Shelby might get some cheap ones.
Speaker 3 (01:05:50):
But do this, yeah, add Shelby and keep him until
Ginkle comes up. I think Ginkle would get the role
if Martinez is looking shaky and Puck is going to
be out an extended period of time, didn't add Ginkle.
I think Ginkle would. You know, he has experience in
the closure role. He's much better as a setup man.
But he has the attitude and he has a velocity
(01:06:12):
to be a ninth Inny guy.
Speaker 2 (01:06:14):
So well, I got the biggest pickup for you, ladies
and gentlemen. We have breaking news on the podcast. Nick
Kurtz is getting Oh it happened four minutes ago. Nick
Kurtz to the majors getting the call up reported by
absolutely everybody after his thousand ops, Nick Kurtz is there.
He's your number one one pickup and he was at
(01:06:37):
the top of my prospect list as well.
Speaker 3 (01:06:39):
You better be good.
Speaker 2 (01:06:42):
We'll just jump right into it. Actually, on the prospects
for redraft, we lost four players, are you twenty five?
Four players that were on my list, which I guess
you could be like, big deal you do twenty five,
the rates might be pretty good. But four players that
were on my list, they were actually sixteen or higher
on the list, got called up last week. Chandler Simpson,
Edgar Carrow, Augustin Ramirez, and Logan Henderson were all on
(01:07:05):
this sheet. Last week they got the call up. They
were six, twelve, thirteen, and sixteen respectively on this list.
Now going into this week, yes, Nick Kurtz is number one,
was number one and just officially got called up four
minutes ago. Whatever I wrote doesn't even matter. By the way,
like we saw Rooker playing in the outfield, everything I
said was right. There we go, beautiful love Nick Kurtz.
(01:07:28):
Number two. Bubba Chandler his second start, he had another
I'm not a second start, but his last start sixty
nine pitches, So they pushed up the innings or the pitches,
which I said they need to get to seventy. More
importantly to me, he started throwing his change up. He
threw it more than his slider in the last outing.
Good results. I think Bubba Chandler could come up this week.
(01:07:49):
If not, I think it will be the following week.
So I think Bubba Chandler is very very close to this.
I've got some notes on Roman Anthony and Marcella Mayer.
I put Jordan Lawler on the list. He is one
of the hottest baseball players in the miners right now,
so much so he has as many hits as Nick Kurtz,
and I don't think people realize that he has. He is
(01:08:11):
a three something crazy average, five homers, eight stolen bases.
He's been playing second though, Bogs. The only thing I
could possibly think of, because they're not playing in the outfield,
for him to come up, would be either a he's
just a super util guy, or could they move tell
Off a second because of the injuries and stuff like that, Like,
could they move him to the outfield so there's less movement.
(01:08:34):
I mean, I don't think they would, he's been there before.
Speaker 3 (01:08:36):
But liked honestly, like Peven would go to the bench
in that and maybe Lawler would play second, but he's
not going to the outd outfield. I think for him,
with these hamstring things and growing things, I think the
outfield is worse for him than the second. Honestly, so yeah,
I don't think that that's a possibility. But also Gino
(01:08:59):
can't hit right now. He is having the like the
same after his initial start and then his Grand Slam
and Wrigley dude has not been hitting at all. So
I have a third base kind of glaring right now
for the d Backs. Maybe he would give Geno a
breather and be like that super util guy like you said, like,
(01:09:19):
didn't he practice in the outfield a little bit in
the spring.
Speaker 2 (01:09:21):
It's like a tiny bit, but it's been third and second.
But to this point, I would love this. I think
the Diamonbacks DFA, Garrett Hampson, get him the f out
of here. He stinks. Jordan Lawler comes in. Jordan Lawler
can play once or twice a week at third, maybe
once at second, get or twice Katelkan d h a
little bit, give Perdomo one day off, put Lawler there.
(01:09:44):
You can get Lawler five If there's six games in
a week, you can get him five games by moving around.
I think that's fine. So he can play regularly. He's
hitting at the level where Mike Ksen said this, Lawler
is going to play himself onto the roster when he
shows us he's ready, he'll be up regardless of what's
going on. Well, guess what, regardless of what's going on,
(01:10:05):
he's one of the hottest minor leaguers in baseball right now.
He should be up, and he really with how the
counting stats are going and how his bat's going, you
should probably speculate on him. The thing on my list, though,
I will say, is the top six are kind of
devoid of what is going on, Like you just kind
of want to hold these guys, and Lawler created this
(01:10:26):
as a top six, then you're moving into territories where
I'm telling you these are guys worth speculating on if
they are to get a call. And then as we
moved down the list to like fifteen and below, it's
just like these are names that could be coming up
in the near future that you need to pay attention
to have some version of speculation. Some new additions to
the list this week were Moist's Balliso, who I didn't
(01:10:50):
have on who I should have. He's going crazy with
the Cubs as a catcher. Justin Crawford is moving way
up with the Phillies and Triple A. You should pay
attention to him. Carson wizen Hunt with the Giants is
going berserk. He's not walking anybody anymore and has an
incredible change up. And then the list of a bunch
of other guys Kate Horden continue to move up. There's
(01:11:11):
some really good prospects that are on that are on
the short list here that you should be paying attention to.
And I think there's a pretty good track record. Like
I said, four from last week got the call up.
If you like to speculate and you need to pay attention.
This is my ranking of them for this week. But
I think Nick Kurtz is obviously gonna come off. I
think by next week. I wouldn't be surprised if Bubba,
and I wouldn't even be surprised if Lalla off this
(01:11:33):
list as well.
Speaker 3 (01:11:34):
Yeah, yeah, gonna be some moves, for sure, lots of
We're starting to figure things out about a month in
right now.
Speaker 2 (01:11:42):
Yeah, a little bit last little stuff here. The I
had some players to trade for. I want to get
your take on this real quick. A couple from last week,
new editions of players that I want to trade for.
Number one Jazz Chisholm. We are at peak hating jazz
right now now and It kind of became apparent on
leading off today where people are like, we had to
(01:12:04):
do a poll who is into jazz eighty six percent,
so they don't like jazz, and some people like I
don't understand it, and I was pretty simple. I said, well,
the reason why fantasy analysts like him is twenty four
homers forty stolen bases. His hitting profile is pretty dicey,
of course, but expect a batting average. It's not good,
but it's sixty to seventy points higher. He steals like
crazy the stadium. I think we're at an all time
(01:12:27):
low of like of jazz chislm, so I think it
is a prime buy opportunity. Yeah your name.
Speaker 3 (01:12:33):
Yes, he still has six homers and five stolen bases.
His bapup is one forty six, his career is three
to ZHO one. Yes, I'm definitely buying on jazz.
Speaker 2 (01:12:45):
Okay, so you're buying on jazz number two. We already
kind of did this in last week's show, but I'm
putting out Corbyn Burns. I think Corbyn Burns is still
in the By territory because I think with the vlow
down and I think he's getting a little bit of
that Gallon stink on him for him stinking that. I
kind of want to buy Corbyn Burns right now.
Speaker 3 (01:13:04):
You hate Gallon so much that it's Gallon's fault that
people hate Corbyn Burns. Yes, yeah, I don't really buy that,
but I will say yes, I will buy on Corbyn
Burns as well. We thought we did talk about this
last week, like you know, adjusting to a new team,
a new routine, a new league of hitters. Right he
was coming from the al So, yeah, I'm buying on
(01:13:27):
Corbun Burns.
Speaker 2 (01:13:28):
And then the other one is I'm actually buying mckenzi
Gore on a high. I don't think Gore's value has
moved up because he had that one bat outing and
then he did it against the Rockies, where I think
people are still kind of trying to figure out is
this is he really good? Can I sell high? I
kind of want to buy a little bit on the
high of mckenzi Gore right now, as long as it's
not too crazy, because you know, maybe like someone values
(01:13:50):
him around like a fortieth or thirty fifth overall starting
pitch or something like that, Like I would like to
get him in a trade.
Speaker 3 (01:13:56):
Yeah, that's fair. I love the strikeats. I will say this,
I do think the because he has a high whip,
doesn't he like he's he's striking out a lot of guys,
But he has to because he has traffic on a
decent amount. So I do think that like in the yeah,
one two one, which is just much, it's still way
better than his one four to two last season. But
(01:14:18):
I do think when he gets blown up, it's gonna
be a bunch of runs, right like, so head to
head a little less inclined, because you know when he
does blow up, it can ruin your week. But for
rod O, absolutely I've won.
Speaker 2 (01:14:29):
You can see it on the cells. I added, I
put Gallon on there. I think it's actually a weird
time to sell him. I put a Ronda on there
because raise and positional stuff, and I think we're going
to an all time high. I don't, And maybe that
one's not a good one to put on there. I did,
But I want to get your take on this one.
(01:14:50):
This is a little bit counter to me on Trevor's
story right now, because trevor story five homers, six still
on the base is three thirty seven average. Right now,
you're getting big talks like, oh my gosh, he's the
thirty thirty guy when healthy and stuff. But two things
really stand out. A is those injuries and b or
twenty four babo, so he's way over inflated. He's not walking,
(01:15:11):
he's striking out still a ton. Everything looks good, but
he also has that really big injury history that I
think it actually might be an okay time to consider
looking to move off of Trevor's story if someone wants
to buy high. I'd also say his cost was so
cheap though, that it's not worth just like just doing
it for nothing, you know, Like I don't think I
would do it for a Ronda, you know, because I'm
(01:15:32):
kind of selling on that. But like if someone is
on the high, like oh my god, Red Sox are
talking thirty thirty, he's the catalyst, he's hitting three thirty seven,
it might be worth it.
Speaker 3 (01:15:41):
Absolutely, I mean you just said it. It's ever since
going to Boston, you know, twenty twenty two, ninety four
games in forty three and then last year twenty six games.
He's already up to twenty two this year. But I
do think a lot like my take with Mike Trout,
like the guy miss his games, Trevor Story miss games.
So if you can get somebody you know that was
(01:16:04):
ranked way higher coming in that, you still like that.
Maybe people are down on do it. I would absolutely
trade story.
Speaker 2 (01:16:11):
Nick freakin' Kurts, Baby, Nick Kurtz up there. I did
the gift, I said, ladies and gentlemen, we got him.
I did with Nick Kurtz on there. So if I
have this episode afore whatever, But hey, listen, I'm gonna

is getting the call. The question is, is you get
to me in today's lineup? Aren't they a's playing today?
Are they off today? Off today?
Speaker 3 (01:16:49):
I think they were playing, but I don't remember. Let
me look, Uh they are not playing today? So up tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (01:16:59):
What a birthday gift for me?
Speaker 3 (01:17:01):
Oh that's right, happy birthday. Well, good lord, I've been
so obsessed with the draft stuff and I remember it
was your birthday right before out of bound, and I
didn't say anything, and then I just forgot that it's tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (01:17:13):
But it's been We've had fun with it. It's been
mentioned way too much because it doesn't matter, like I'm
old and irrelevant and birthdays don't mean anything to it.
Robinson birthdays here, it is my Jackie Robinson. But I'm
getting a gift. Nick Kurtz is going to make his
major league debut on the birthday. Let's freaking go. I'm
very excited about that because I love I love Kurtz,
(01:17:34):
and I got to see him in the AFL, I
got to see him in camp. I've been a heavy defender.
I put him as the number one redraft prospect pretty
much at the beginning of the year over Roman Anthony,
which I think was a hot take to some. I'm
pretty excited about that. So we will we will get
to see what that all is tomorrow. It should be very,
very fun. So come on over to the Twitch and
