This episode is part of our Incredibly Human Book Club. We discuss the book "Suspicious Minds" by Rob Brotherton.

To be human is to be suspicious. It's normal.

Conspiracies can at times be lighthearted. They can be fun and engaging. But sometimes our suspicion can be dangerous. It can change our views of the world. In this episode we break down why we believe in conspiracy theories, but also how they can negatively impact our lives. Wars, extremists, shootings and bombings are the result of dangerous views of the world. Hitler believed conspiracies about Jews. This is why they can be dangerous if we do not protect ourselves.

Conspiracies are the result of our brains need for clarity and order. We see patterns and look for intentions. But we also have a way of seeing the world in black and white. We look for good guys and bad guys. We see ourselves as heroes in the story.
