Ils analysent d’abord les recommandations actualisées de l’Académie Américaine de Pédiatrie concernant le canal artériel, qui suggèrent de s’éloigner des traitements prophylactiques systématiques au profit d’une approche plus conservatrice. Ensuite, ils discutent d’une méta-analyse récente qui confirme que les approches actives de fermeture précoce n’apportent pas de bénéfices clairs en termes de mortalité ou de morbidité respiratoire.
