of these artists and their respective records. To me, this whole final comes
down to the feelings. What doyou feel when you listen to these records?
Which one speaks to you more?Purple Rain is a great soundtrack done
by one of the best, ifnot the best, individual artists in history.
Led Zeppelin is not only one ofthe most prolific rock bands in history,

they're the pre eminent model of whata rock band is. When I
put on led Zeppen four, Iam giddy. I know what I'm about
to experience, and I can't waitto start. Not only has LEDs up
and four my choice for this finalround. It should have be every It
should be everyone's choice, Jeff speakingfor everybody here. As good of a
soundtrack as Purple Rain is, itdoesn't hold a candle to four. The
flow on Zeppelin four is divine.In my humble opinion, this whole tournament

was over as soon as you said, lads up on four. Prince will
get some votes here for sure,but there it can only be one,
and that one is and should beled Zeppelin four. Well, dad,

for me. The difference is ComputerBlue. It's the most unique song on

and says, this was hard.I first tried to stick to the spirit
of the competition. But if bothalbums were sitting on the table, it's
fifty fifty. They're both just awesomebeginning to end. So after another listen
to both, I had an AHAmoment when I finished listening to led Zeppan
four, I really let it repeat. I usually move on to something else,
or another led Zepplin album, probablyHouse of the Holy, which is
their best album. Fight me.I was thinking about that when I read

that. I that's probably accurate.Houses the Holy probably is the best led
Zepplin record. I never heard it. Well, you would know most of
the songs off of it, likeyou would probably know as many songs on
Houses as you do for and they'reall on one not the titles of the

of Mike Downing's detractors for Purple Rainwas one of Jamie's positives. Mike was
saying that led Zepplin made him wantto look more into the catalog of led

Lads Up and Four is a fantasticrecord in an iconic discography. But if

broke down between Facebook and Twitter.I added up the votes for both.

two, it broke down like this, one hundred and thirty three votes for

the show pretty positive, but andI talked to you about this the other
night, Kyle, I want toaddress some feedback that we got on Twitter.
And I'm not going to call outthe person, but someone tweeted at

the account overnight. How dare youcompare these two albums, which, by
the way, I'll compare any twoalbums I fucking want to. Anyways,
how dare you compare these two albums? Led Zeppelin is a seventies band in
all caps, and Prince is asolo all caps artists who got a start
in the eighties. I mean,lay some facts down for everybody real quick,
because I'm really irritated by this.Led Zeppelin got their start when their

first record came out in the latesixties, not the seventies. And Prince
as a solo artist, had hisfirst record come out in the seventies,
not the eighties. And if youhave a copy of Purple Rain, you
can see clearly at the top ofit that it says underneath the words Purple
Rain, Prince and the Revolution becausehe's playing with his band The Revolution.
So you used like one hundred andforty characters on your tweet and like,

I don't know, one hundred andtwenty of them are wrong. So my
response to that is, what thefuck is your point? Well, yeah,
I mean at the end of thelike I'll compare a Snazra record to

have, like really dissecting music forpeople to regularly point out stuff that makes

the just people taking the time tolisten to the episodes, taking the time
to do the comments, sharing itwith their friends, Like we have so

takes your time into care and itreally really makes me feel good that we

have, you know, friends andlisteners that have been doing that so far.
And then the podcast community too hasbeen very supportive. Like the reason
why we get hundreds of votes onTwitter and whatnot is because they're all retweeting
all this stuff and getting attention inputting their own two cents in and whatnot.
So I just wanted to say thankyou very very much to everybody,
and we will probably I'll touch onthis at the end again in the future,
we'll probably do some other type ofbonus episodes for funzies. But the

way that this one came about isI don't know if you guys are aware,
but there was a health scare goingaround the country, the president to
be over in the summertime. Yeah, so when when all of that started
to come down, we actually hada listener on a music forum say,
well, I know you guys arenew, but you got to start putting
out more episodes, like give everybodysomething to do. And so I brought

that to you guys and was like, what do you think And you guys
were like, hell, yeah,we're going to be sending home you know,
like why not? So we we'rethen kind of dry on ideas.
We all, like all three ofus were like, I don't really know
what we would do for because wedidn't want to burn through a bunch of
topics from our main episodes and whatnot. And then a person who falsified his
feedback this week, Jamie Porter,you know, he was the one.

He said, well, why don'tyou guys just pick some records and throw
it together like n Cuba a styleand do a tournament between the records.
And then I said, well,yeah, that's fine, But for example,
I just said that it was awesomethat the listeners really supported the last
eight weeks of this. Right,It's one thing to ask people to do
it from there. It's a wholeother thing to ask for sixteen weeks of
it. Yeah. Yeah, SoI was like, how are we going

to do that? And Jamie wasthe one that was like, well,
you have Michelle pick because she'll lovethat. Yeah, because she'll love that,
and she'll be the one that makesyou know once the controversial decisions and
whatnot. So that's how it cameabout. As far as the records that
I chose for it, to someextent, I went with stuff that I
that I really liked, that Ithink would do well in a tournament.

But I absolutely played to my audienceto a certain extent as well. And
I have a feeling if I'm lookingat yours, I feel like the ones

Garth Brooks, No Fences and theBlack Album by Metallico, We're probably like,
I'm gonna throw this out there andsee if I can think it past
Michelle or something. You know,the weekend too as well. Really,

okay, I thought she I thoughtyou were already she likes the weekend,
but I didn't think that she wasgoing to be able to telerate listening to
the three albums straight stuff of his, speaking of which I literally the day
that you sent me my list,I was like, and I didn't really
look at the list ahead of time. I was just like, what those

albums have to listen to this week? And you sent me that and I
was like, this is not onerecord. And to be clear, the
only thing that I said to youat the time was no live albums and
no greatest hits, because live albumsare essentially greatest hits, you know,
and so you know that I toldMichelle. Michelle was like, well,
do you want to have them,you know, replace that record? And

I was like, well, Ididn't make that a rule, so I
was more hoping so and also andalso I'm joking on the cheater thing,
like I don't think you're like,I'm going to treat at this against you.
I randomly chose that one because Igenuinely liked that record, yeah,
or those records, those ones werefor me. I definitely chose other ones

I knew that she would potentially pushthrough, like oh and then without fear
ye Dermott Kennedy, which is waybetter than no, no, my god,
no, like not not on thisplanet or any other. And like,
I know, I just got doneon our last main episode talking about
how much I've grown, and I'mnot like the guy that's like, oh
no, what you said sucks.And when I said this right, there

is no planet in the Solar System. Yeah, planet Earth where that Dermot
Kennedy record is. Even in thesame discussion with pet sounds like they are
on the table, I would pickDermot Kennedy every time and then listen to
the better record right after. No, like you just you're just saving the
best for last or I mean,say for the garbage. Yeah, I'm

aware, I honest to God whenI'm looking over this, I think for
me, the biggest surprise for mewas that you picked the black album to
beat The Dark Side of the Moonwhen you hate Metallica like you do,
and well, first of all,yes you do, and you feel like
you and second of all, likeyou like songs on the Dark Side of

the Moon. Like, I knowyou're not the world's biggest Pink Floyd fan,
but like my favorite Floyd record,like the Dark Side of the Moon.
It's like my probably my fifth favoriteFloyd record off the top of my
head. But I put it inthere because I knew you like songs on
it, and I was like,you know, maybe this will be enough
to carry through. And then whenthe numbers foul, I was like,
oh, well, this is aneasy week for me because she hates Metallica.
And then she and if you goback and you listen to the episode,

you went on for like twenty minutesabout how much you hate Metallica,
and then you were like and therewas a lot of bright spots on the
Dark Side of the Moon and Ilike this and I like this, and
I was like sweet, and I'mlike, what's your decision? And you
were like, yea album I hateAnd I was like what, like what?
Like, don't get me wrong,I, in no way champe or
Form expected Dark Side of the Moonto go all the way to the dance.
You know, I didn't think itwas going to get in the finals,
but I thought for sure that itwas going to beat the Black Out.

In my defense, we were quarantinedat home when I was probably drinking
a lot. Meaning what I rememberthat decision? Well, you made it
here sitting in the same chair you'rein right now, Yes, so you
did. You would you would havemade it here while I said, oh,
you made your decision ahead of time. No, I made my decision
at my house. We were recordingthem remotely. Oh where we back then?

Yeah, I remember sitting in thebasement drinking yep, drinking yes,
and Michelle between the dark side ofthe Moon and Mattelico what why aren't you
picking? And then you just heargo where's my darts? Hold on?
And you hear a thud Metallica thelast one you said, I don't remember
the first one truly. That wasthe one that shot me the most.

I was surprised when you didn't likeGarth anymore than you did going in Seriously,
that was surprising. Yes, Ididn't think Karth was going to be
lads upload for by any stretching theimagination, but I thought that you would
like it more than you did,and no, you didn't. I put
that in there because I love thatalbum and I also wanted Michelle to fully
listen to it. Yeah, it'sa good, solid Garth record. Yea.

Yeah, so now we know she'sbeyond hope. So at least I
thought I could have made some redemptionhappen after she fell asleep with the concert,
But right, it didn't work.Another surprise for me was I really
thought you were going to go withEminem over Carol King or what? No,
that wasn't you. That was socialmedia, wasn't it. There was
social media by the time episode thirteenyet around. Yeah, what would you?
What would you have picked? No? I said, Eminem was my

choice, But then I said,I like, I wanted it to be
Carol King, but honestly, ifthey were sitting side by side, it
would be Eminem. Gotchas I wasn'tdrinking so much. We were here,
remember that one right, Episode tenwas decided by social media. I wasn't
surprised that led Zepplin ended up carryingit over and for me, like I
said, I think that was justmore of a sentimental thing. But then

lads Uplin carried all the way throughthe damn finals from there. I'm really
surprised during My Kennedy didn't make itpast a second round. I know,
it's crazy, isn't it? Isn'tit? Yeah, just to be clear,
because din't what did term My Kennedygo up against the pearl jam ten?
Okay, by episode eleven, thatwas decided on by the listeners,
right, Okay, because of thecontroversy involved with that, Dermot Kennedy could

have been going up against a paperplate as an album. Like people could
have been like, I put apaper plate on my turntable and I listened
to the whole side of it,and people would have been like, I
still like the paper plate better,like just because of the whole controversy.
But I have to say, likePurple Rain had the hardest road in this
whole thing. I mean, handsdown. I mean the record started out

going against Rumors, which is amonster record. I couldn't choose, Yeah,
you couldn't choose, and so that'sthe first time we had to call
it a social media and then itended up going head up against Thriller,
which I've probably been debated online sincethe beginning of time. If it was
Lads Up on four Rumors, let'sjust say rumors made it all the way.
What would you have picked Lights upon four versus rumors? I probably,

Jesus probably, I probably still wantto stuck with LEDs Upling four and
rumors all the way. I mean, no, absolutely, no disrespect towards
rumors at all, but I wouldhave stuck with LEDs Upling four for the
same reason that I picked it overPurple Rain, in that a million careers
were launched off of LEDs Upling four. You know, oh oh oh,
actually, and there's three or foursongs on Rumors that I don't like,

and there are zero songs A coupleof stinkers. Yeah, yeah, oh
for sure. Not skippables, stinkersflat outs. Mean we need a chart
of which one is skippable higher thanstinkers. I need like a flow chart.
Will you come up with that hierarchy? You're the one that came up
with with the term stinkers. Noskippable, It's not mine. No,
not up in here, not upingnow. So you know, I know

I said this before already, butwe can't think the listeners enough. It's
been so much fun. Yeah,it's so much of this dependent on people
listening every week, you know,in a fairly quick turnaround, you know,
get the episode on Friday and turnaround. And there were I was thinking

last time I listened to these twothis is what I thought, And people
were like, I listened to thisone six times in a row, and
then this and I was like,WHOA, like you shed ocation, not
only are you listening to us talkabout it? I was like, for
sure, you put more energy intothis than Michelle did, and then,

to know if anyone listened to Trilogyall the way through I don't know,

or if they broke it up intoalbums. I know I did. I

to carry through. And then whenthe numbers foul, I was like,

What would you have picked Lights upon four versus rumors? I probably,

Jesus probably, I probably still wantto stuck with LEDs Upling four and
rumors all the way. I mean, no, absolutely, no disrespect towards
rumors at all, but I wouldhave stuck with LEDs Upling four for the
same reason that I picked it overPurple Rain, in that a million careers
