(00:06):
It's bonus episode three of the InfectiousGroove Podcast. We are still in album
tournament mode for this bad boy You'vegot myself. My name is Russ,
Michelle and Kyler with me. Howyou guys doing, Oh yeah, still
getting in this weird situation right now. However, if you're not us,
you have a whole bunch of extracontent for free to carry you through.

(00:26):
So if you've been following the tournament, you know, Kyle and I picked
eight albums a piece that we likewere it could have defend one. Each
week, Michelle decides which one isgoing to move on in the tournament,
and then we go from there. So last week, Eminem Music is being
murdered by took on Guns and Rosesappetite for destruction and obviously guns and Roses.
Oh wait, nope, I'm sorry, Eminem Music is being murdered by

(00:47):
one My bad, My bad, yeah that was that was an accident.
And you know what, I didn'teven mean to do this, but I'm
yeah, I'm gonna set myself upfor using this new drop that I made
and I didn't even mean to.From what I understand, Axel Rose heard
last week's episode, and here's whathe said, Okay, never mind,
So that's right, never mind.Yeah, we lost we lost a listener

(01:08):
in Axel, So now that thatwas gonna get taken down because you played
that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, there's no music. There's no music
in it, meet Shirt specifically music. So up this week is Garth Brooks's
second album, No Fences versus ledZeppelind's fourth album, which I believe it
or not, is titled led Zeppelindfour. So yeah, I know,

(01:29):
let's get right into it, Kyle. Take us through Garth Brooks's second effort
and why you nominated it for thiscompetition. Different than the other albums that
I chose. I did not choosethis based upon the fact that I thought
it would do good in any sortof tournament. I chose based upon the
specifically, based upon the fact thatthe fact that I loved this album in
general. You know what I findis it was this the first Garth album

(01:51):
you ever heard? Yeah? Ithink, so, okay. I The
reason I say that is because myfavorite Garth album is the one after this,
and that's the first one I everheard. And I have a friend
of mine who didn't hear Garth untilFresh Horses came out and that's his favorite
Garth album. So I think it'slike some sort of developing pattern where like
you latch yourself to the first Garthalbum you ever heard, yeah, and
like and specifically Friends and Low Places, like I can't Garth Brooks is some

(02:14):
of the only country that I everlistened to growing up and still listen to
now because I have such a like, I don't know, like an intimate
connection to it. I don't knowif that's the right word, but no,
yeah, yeah, absolutely, Andthis album it has monster monster hits
on it, like many all thealbums that we've chose to have monster hits
on him I thing, but itis just it is a monster record.
I want to say a lot ofpeople who are fans of Garth Brooks are

(02:36):
people who are aren't you and fansof Garth Brooks and just know a little
bit about him or have heard thissong or that song. Several of the
songs that they would know of himsinging come off of this record. Yeah,
It's one of those albums that atleast most people, if they've heard
of Garth Brooks, they've heard ofFriends in Low Places, what they probably
have heard of the other songs onhere as well, like the other the
other hits that are on here aswell. Yeah, my only issue because

(02:59):
I well in front to back theother night, and I was right before
I put it on, I thought, why don't I love this album as
much as the third one, whichthe third one is for Open the Wind?
And to me, this album isvery much a single vehicle like all
of them. I've never been theguy that just likes the singles on a
record, but for this one,the singles absolutely are the ones that stand
out for me. It's almost everyother song on the record is great for

(03:23):
me. And it happens that almostevery other song on the record is the
singles. You know, Yeah, what are the singles? Group? So
besides Friends, what are the singles? Because I only know Friends was a
single. It starts off with thethunder Rolls, which was a single two
of a kind, working on afull house, Friends in Low Places and
Unanswered Prayers are all the singles thatwere off with this. So but what's
good, what's funny is like,as much as I love Friends in Low

(03:44):
Places like I don't, I don'tknow if I love any of the singles
more than another. Like that,I love them all because I grew up
listening to them. So it's like, though, like every family event that
I've ever had, like Friends andLow Places comes on and everyone drunk dances,
and that's just the thing happens. And wait wait wait wait wait wait
wait, you play Friends in LowPlaces a lot while you're drunk. I
personally specifically, but I personally havenever never seen that. Yeah, it's

(04:11):
weird. Two of a work ona full house like that is like that
as a goddamn jam. And Ilike when we went and seen him live
like that was everyone lost their shipwhen he played that, Like and that's
not even that's like one of hisbest songs. I don't think that's one
of those songs that when the peoplewhen people lose their mind, because I've
seen Garth four or five, fiveor six times maybe as soon as that
song starts, people lose their mind. And it's not a bad song at

(04:32):
all. But every time, I'mlike, really like that many people love
this song, you know what Imean, Like it just kind of surprises
me. Everybody sings along, everybodysings along to everywhere. I will say
I think the best single off ofthis record, like the most iconic without
a doubt is Friends in Low Places, Like that's just an iconic song.
But I think, I mean, personally, I think the best single off

(04:54):
the record is on Answered Prayers, like by forgive the phrase country mile.
Yeah, I agree that, Ilike, I really like thunder Rolls too,
but Unanswered Prayer is definitely aside fromit. You know. Obviously Friends
and Low Places taking the party anthemof the whole record basically, yeah,
see, thunder Rolls, the studioversion gets points and deducted for me because
I like the live version better withthe extra verse and friends Friends and Low

(05:16):
Places. I like the extra verse, but I could take it either way.
But thunder Rolls is a good songthat gets taken way over the top
for me with the extra verse thatis not on the studio album. You
see what I'm saying on that?Yeah, and see until so, until
I met you, I didn't evenknow that there were these extroverses that existed
on different records. On one ohman, yeah, that's as soon as
he says, she runs back downthe hallway. I'm like, oh boy,

(05:39):
here we go. And I'm sureI said that to you the first
time you heard it. Yeah,oh yeah, it's it takes. It
adds a whole new level to allthe songs that have an extroverse that he
does, and it's yeah, it'sthat's awesome. I'm gonna stop talking up
your record now and remind everyone, but that version is that version is not
that version is not repeat not thison this album correct. But having said

(06:02):
that, I'm not saying this tobe funny. The bomber of the record
for me is that literally every othersong is in my opinion, okay at
best, like New Way to Fly, the second song on the record is
just not any good victim of thegame. I've been listening to this album
since probably nineteen ninety one at aguest and when that song played the other
night, I was like, well, I have I never heard this before,

(06:24):
Like that's how forgettable, that's youknow. And then and the biggest
bummer for me on the record,And this is more of a track listing
issue probably than the quality of thesong is same old story following un Answered
Prayers, I don't know who inGarth's camp was like, let's follow one
of the greatest ballads you've ever donein Unanswered Prayers with us, so so

(06:46):
ballad at best, I just donot understand that, And then I don't
like mister Blue that much. NowI will say to swing this back up
to something positive. I think thesong that closes the album out, Wolves
is a really really good hit andgem from Garth, and I wish more
people knew that song. Like everytime I listened to side two of No
Offenses, when those two clunker songsgo in a row, every time Wolves

(07:10):
plays, I'm like, yes, like this makes up for those two bad
songs in a row, So thatI mean, that's more or less my
thoughts on that. What else yougot to round out? Round out your
thoughts? I supposed to be talkingthe record up, But I do agree
with the fact that there's a lotthere's a lot of duds on the album.
But in that same token, thesingles and the hits that are on
the record are so massive. Isay that they're able to They're able to

(07:32):
carry the record entirely. Yeah,And I can't say I disagree with that.
But the one thing that hit methe other night was like, in
the middle of the same old story, I still because I was listening to
the record from an analytical standpoint,Like halfway through same old story. I
was like still saying to myself,I can't believe that they had this follow
on interpress like you know so.But the rest of the record, though,

(07:56):
they don't do that. They don'tput two clunkers in a row.
They put single clunker, single clunker, and like you said, the single
is big enough to carry it.I have the same opinion as many people,
I guess is that I'm I'm okaywith hearing a subpar Garth Brooks song
in between a really good one orafter a really good one. So it's
like, I don't I kind oflike tune those to put them on a

(08:16):
back burner as I'm listening to therecord because I know that the next song
is you know, friends and LowPlaces or whatever. Now I hear that.
Cool. Is that your full andcomplete argument for growth Brook's second record,
Yes, all right, yeah, case rests redirect, the record speaks
for itself. Yes, right on. As far as led Zepplin's fourth album

(08:37):
goes um, personally, I thinkled Zepplind three is the underrated gem and
the LEDs upland catalog, and alot of people don't like led Zepplind three
that are massive LEDs upland fans becauseit's um two folksy for a lot of
people, like it starts off withthe immigrant song and then it really goes
into a lot of folksy ballads, and they found a much better balance,

(08:58):
I think, on led Zeppelind four, which is why it is so popular,
because it does have a couple ofmoments that would fit in on led
Zepplin three, but then almost theentirety the record would fit in on led
Zepplin two or Houses of a Holyor even physical Graffiti. But to me,
the I mean, what a monsterside one black Dog, I mean
for your record to start off withblack Dog, just it's almost like a

(09:18):
welcome to the jungle situation. It'slike you just you have kicked in the
door and said you're you're here tojust lay down some sweet grooves. Like
that's all four members of led Zepplinjust firing on all four cylinders. I
think rock and roll is a fantasticway to keep going. And it's crazy
to me that Zeppelin did that songthat almost sounds like Chuck Barrish, you

(09:39):
know, on their fourth record,Battle of Evermore Like I say, that's
a song that I think could goon led Zeppelin three. It's really a
like a lot of mandolin and it'svery subdued. Then you have, of
course Steroid Heaven rounds outside one. Here's an interesting fact. I don't know
if either of you know. Didyou know Steroid Heaven is the single most
played song in the history of FMradio. You did tell me that,

(10:00):
Do you remember why? Because theDJ's had to go pee, yep,
well, pete or smell. Yeah. So back in the day when DJ's
ran things on all analog, youknow, Zeppelin comes out with this record
that's got a seven minute rock songon it, so they would put that
on and go smokes. Stairway toHeaven was never even a single, and
it's still the single most played songin the history of rock radio, which
I think is pretty straight. Yeah, because before analog or before digital everything,

(10:24):
they you know, they had tobe there to pick up the needle
and put it down and put iton a new record and whatever else.
And so they'd be like, Igotta put on Stairway so you know that'll
get They'll give me seven minutes andfifty five seconds. And then I think
side two kicks off with one ofsuch a jam Misty Mountain Hoop is one
of my favorite Zeppelin songs, andfor whatever reason, I never think about
the fact that it actually kicks offside too, which it's just such a

(10:46):
jam. It really gets you backinto the swing of things after Stairway goes
up and down so much. FourSticks for me is the low point of
the album. And I'm pretty sureanybody listening to this that as a led
Zepplin fan is probably raging in histhrone something just hearing me say that.
But it's it's of all the greatYeah, yeah, why Jason, Uh
do you know for a fact thathe loves four six or doesn't like it

(11:07):
or what am I missing? No? I just feel like he doesn't want
to say anything. No, that'swhat I'm saying. Anybody who's in Zeppelin
fan, it's probably mad that Isaid that four stix is at the low
point of the album. And thengoing to California though, takes a complete
and total upswing from four Sticks forme, like when by the time it
gets to the end of fours almostlike you were seeing about Garth Kyle,
Like when four Sticks is happening,I'm like, all right, well,

(11:28):
I can sit through this because Iknow, going to California it's coming,
you know, like I'm gonna bea lot happier hearing about three minutes.
And then when the levee breaks isan old blue song that they reworked for
the end of this and it's justa monster, monster way to end the
record. And what's cool about whenthe levee breaks as far as ending to
this record is it's almost a here'swhere we're going. Like. It sounds

(11:48):
like Houses of the Holy and physicalgraffiti. It's almost like, Hey,
hopefully you like this because you're aboutto get about three or four more albums
of this, you know what. What are your thoughts on Lights Up with
four? Kyle? My main gripewith them is that just a lot of
their stuff sounds so similar, andI think people get confused as to what

(12:09):
songs are on what records and whatyou know, everyone knows like the huge
hits that they had um and muchlike the Garth Brooks record that this record
kind of I kind of every othersong is like a song that I want
to hear, So I'm looking forwardto that song being over and hearing the
next one that I want to hear. Hey. Side note, you know
what doesn't help with LEDs upland andpeople knowing what songs are on what albums,

(12:30):
they on purpose put the title songsfrom some albums on other albums.
So the song the song Houses ofthe Holy is not on the Houses of
the Holy album, and the songthe song remains the same is not on
the song Remains the same. Andseveral of them are just numbered, so
it's like, well, I don'tknow, is that song on three or
four? Or you know, it'sit's confusing. One and two I can

(12:50):
see titling that way because they're extremelysimilar. In three and four, I
could see giving similar titles to eachother because they have a similar sound.
But yeah, it's kind of weirdthat they did one, two, three
and four, and then from Housesthe Holy is number five, and then
from there out there through Koda theyall have different titles? Did they just
they weren't creative enough to have names? They just for like we can count

(13:11):
to four. So I honestly,I've never really looked into why. I
think the first one was just selftitled and then they called two, two,
and I honestly I have no ideawhy three and four were do either
of you. This is just aside. Don't that popped into my head?
Do either of you guys know whereled Zeplin got their name from.
You told me this before too,but this one I forgot. So it's

(13:33):
a very long story, but I'llnarrow it way down. So originally the
reason why led Zeplin were put togetherwas because Jimmy Page was brought in as
a session musician to Atlantic Records toreconstruct the Yardbirds, like Jeff Beckett left
and Eric Clapton had left, sothey brought in this new guitar player and
they said, you know, hey, why don't you get some friends put
together a new lineup, and we'llcall you the new Yardbirds. And when
he got John Paul Jones and JohnBonham and Robert Plant and what they were

(13:56):
doing was so far removed from theYardbirds that they were to call it something
new. So they recorded all ofwhat would become led Zepplin one, and
I'm at Ertigett, who was thehead of Atlantic Records, was I believe,
out of the country, so hiswife came down to listen to the
album to basically stand in his placeand say, you know, this is
what we think of it. Andas soon as she heard it, she
started screaming and said, this isthe worst thing ever, Like if we

(14:18):
put this out and we'll go overlike a led Zepplin. And so they
were like, oh, okay, well then we'll just call it led Zepplin,
which I think is rad. Youknow. They were like, okay,
well, so that's why the hindenburgherson the cover. And I mean
it was like the wife of thewife of the president of the record label
heard it and was like, yeah, this is this is awful and no
one's going to buy this. Ibelieve, you know, the led Zepplin

(14:39):
may have shifted a few units.I'm not entirely sure, but I think
more than a few people have boughttheir records. Yeah, yeah, I
think so. I Actually I hopethat they named their records one, two,
three, and four as like afu to the record labels, Like
there was some sort of like thingwhere the record label was like, oh,
well you need to do this, and they're like, oh no,
we're just gonna do one, two, three, and four. Thanks though.
Yeah, well, I mean there'sthey have nine studio records total.

(15:01):
Their fifth album is called Houses ofthe Holy so oh yeah, but it's
not it's not five, it's one, two, three, four, then
Houses the Holy, then the I'mnot going to do this in order,
but physical graffiti, Presence in throughthe outdoor coda, and I feel like
there's one I'm forgetting. And thenthey had while they were a band,
they had one live album, andsince John Bonham passing there it's been at

(15:22):
least two or three other live records, and she's like a ridiculous amount of
box sets and stuff. So didyou say Presence, Yeah, Presence was
I think the second to the lastrecord. The song remains the same.
That's a live album. I'm justtrying to I have it up on Spotify
because I was looking at the tracklisting for when I talk, so not
that it matters, I guess,I know. Yeah, what is Mothership?

(15:43):
One of many many greatest hits packages? Okay Mothership? Like the're not
putting out music in two thousand andseven. Yeah, No, there is
also thing that Spotify doesn't always putthings in order. That's why so I
didn't say this in the chat theother day, but when I asked about
it, LEDs up in four wasthe fourth album? Is? Because it
was there was like when I scrolleddown three wasn't behind it, and I

(16:03):
was like, I don't understand,like why I want. It's probably based
upon some sort of weird algorithm thingof how they get ordered on there.
It's weird. I've ran into thesame thing with certain artists where yeah,
order I just looked at their discographyand I think I got everything I know
I mentioned in Through the Outdoor andnow that I'm looking at it, if
anybody wants If anybody wants to heara monster leads Up on live album,
the one to listen to is howthe West Was One Holy Cow? Like

(16:26):
you want to hear a band onfire, you listen to that record.
It's one of the best live albumsthat more than Oh, we weren't picking
live albums never mind. Yeah,we just qualified greatest sits and live albums
from this because many times live albumsare just greatest sets albums. Anyways,
I agree. So anyways, Kyle, do you have any closing thoughts on
LEDs Up one? There are you? Good to go? It's an overall
great album, and I know I'msupposed to not be talking it up,

(16:47):
but like, in general, itis a great album. Though I do
feel that there are like I said, there's misses on it to me,
like there are on the Brooks recordwhere I'm listening to something waiting for the
next song to come up because Iknow it's gonna be a great one.
And overall, I mean, Ican't I can't deny that it's a great
record. Right, all right,Michelle, are you ready to present your
notes to us on Garth? Yeah? But real quick, you need to

(17:08):
make the drop for great record.Oh yeah, yeah, that drop.
Oh boy, yep, I willabsolutely do that. You go ahead and
start talking about your notes, andI'm gonna make myself a physical note to
make sure I do that tomorrow.Okay, So I'll start with Garth Brooks.
Then. I had never listened toa Garth Brooks album front to back.

(17:29):
Um, I know a little bitabout him, and I have seen
him live and uh on the show. Yeah you kind of you saw a
part of the Garth Brooks concert. What was that twenty thirteen, fourteen fourteen?
Yeah, sorry to remember. Whenyou take a nap in the middle
of a concert, it's hard toremember. So was that the Joe?

(17:51):
Yeah, I might have fallen asleepin the middle. So that's the only
concert I've ever fallen asleep on orat well, I'm sure Field, and
I've been to several concerts, Solet's just say that that's that's an award
that goes only to Garth Brooks.Sure well, I'm sure of all of
the Entertainer of the Year awards thathe has and the Grammys and everything,
I'm sure that Michelle fell Asleep atyour Concert award is probably right up on

(18:15):
his shelf. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think he appreciates that.
He did tell me that. SoI came into this record not obviously not
a Garth fan, and so Iwas, you know, a little apprehensive
to listen to it to begin with. But thunder Rolls is a jam which
I didn't know was on this record, and I do like that song,
and it's a great way to openthis record, and so that was a

(18:37):
pleasant surprise when I started it.But like you, I think you said,
rust A New Way to Fly isjust like it's just so there,
like it's it's not bad, it'sjust there. I actually put too slow,
breaks up the groove and a thumbsundOh. So that's a skating review
for me, going going by ourseries notes so far, I mean that's

(19:00):
not just equals not my jam. That's three full notes, including a thumbs
down, only go. And Iwill say that I listened to this record
twice all the way through to giveit a chance. Yeatcha? All right?
So what moving on? Two ofa kind? What do you think
of two of a kind? Twoof a kind of It was okay too,
of a kind of victim of thegame. We're just kind of there
for me, and then it kindof rolls right into friends and low places,

(19:22):
the wild Horses. I know thatit's not the Rolling Stones wild Horses,
but it sounds so familiar to anothersong that I can't put my finger
on it. Like I don't knowthat. I don't think it's a cover
necessarily, but there's something about itthat I just I can't put my finger
on it. Something else and Idon't. I'm not saying that's a pile
on the record, but it's atleast to me. And I know you
haven't listened to a ton of country, but to me, it's a very
generic nineties country sounding song, likeit sounds like you know, something Tim

(19:45):
McGraw or Toby Keith or somebody couldhave done, so it might sound familiar
for that reason. Oh maybe,But then Unanswered Prayers got a thumbs up
in my book. Oh yeah, well, I mean that's that's like the
sing along at all Garths, Soso, I mean you would know if
you had been awake. But yeah, that's that's a very popular cut.
And then the same old story, mister Blue. Were those are the two
that you guys were talking about, right, They were just kind of clunkers

(20:07):
at the end. I found myselfjust zoning out during those songs. So
I was like, what destruction syndrome? As we learned what about wolves?
Did you park up for wolves orno? Because like I was surprised,
Okay, I was surprised you didn'tat all for Rocket Queen, So I
was figuring it was going to beeven less for wolves then. But but
yeah, I liked that song alot. Yeah, so it was I

(20:30):
do like, Okay, I wouldn'tsay I liked it, but I was
just saying it was a nice endof the record after two clunkers like we
had talked about. So yeah, that was my overall, it wasn't as
bad as I was anticipating. GarthBrooks, seven time CMA Entertainer of the
year and winner of the Coveted Itwasn't as bad as I was expecting it

(20:52):
to be. Award from Michelle.I'm not mad that I listened to it,
and I listened to it twice,so I mean, it can't be
that bad. Holy go Okay,I could do this all day, Winner
of I'm not mad I listen toan award. Holy can make them.
You might want to just some trophies. Yeah, you just might want to

(21:15):
scoot back to nineteen seventy one andtell us about doubling four at this point,
Holy cow, before you before youcontinue to, yeah, before you
continue to. I don't know, compliment Garth Brooks. The most backhanded compliments
you could have. That's my favorite. All right, LEDs up and four?
So um, I nothing led Zeppelinlike they're there for me and I

(21:36):
don't dislike them, and every timethey come on, like the hits in
general, I'm always like, ohyeah, that's a jam. But like
I never seek them out or knowmuch about them at all. So going
into this, I was like, let's see what else they have to offer.
What My biggest problem, which Idon't know, it's probably just me
personally, is that I don't knowwhat any of the hits for led Zeppelin
are called, besides Staar to Heaven. So like all the songs that I

(21:59):
know, well, yeah, likelike black Dog. At no point in
black Dog does he say black Dog, But as soon as he says hey,
you're like, oh, I knowthe song, yep, it's very
much a follow up. Well,he does say rock and roll and roll
it has been a long time, and it has been a long time.
But as soon as I put iton and I was like, oh yeah,
jam, like yes, like I'mI'm into this record. It starts

(22:19):
off fire just like um Garth Brooksdid. The song is the Jam,
but then led Zepplin takes off isthat a Roll's right into rock and roll,
which is also a great a greatsong. So like I was into
the record from the get two songsin, but then like I don't did
you say this Battle of Everymore?I put a thumbs down, Oh no,
like not my jam. It kindof broke up the record for me.

(22:41):
And maybe that's because I was lookingfor jam after jam after jam,
and I don't know the Battle ofEverymore right, and then it goes right
in the stairway, So I waslike, oh, yeah, look another
song, you know, like Ilove this the rest of the album,
I mean, when the Levy Breaksis another one of my other favorite records.
The songs on the record that Ididn't know you know that was on
the record. Yeah, and thenall the rest of it flows together.

(23:02):
While I feel like other than onthe Battle of Everymore, I feel like
the whole record just it was veryeasy to listen to. It wasn't.
There's been some records that I've listenedto recently I'm not going to name in
names that it was a struggle toget to the end, and I feel
like this one flew by and Ienjoyed the majority of listening to it.
So cool. Um. Yeah, one's biggest downfall is not knowing the names

(23:25):
of the song. Yeah. Iwould be like, hey, hey,
played that one song, and Idon't I don't even know how to explain
it, like I need to know, I don't know that. And sometimes
sometimes I was up when you can'teven narrow it down by trying to get
the lyrics out. Either. Ifyou're like, play that one song it's
about the Lord of the Rings. They have several songs that's about the Lord
of the Rings. So narrow itdown after that. What about Misty Mountain
Hoop right after Stairway? No,just it was just there wasn't like any

(23:48):
sort of big jampoint really, Andthat song for me is just like hilarious
in a good way lyrically because it'sabsolutely about just getting super high with strangers.
So the lyrics, the lyrics forme of that song just rule like
where he's just like, I uhlike one of the first lines in the
song is like, um, hesays, walking in the park just the
other day, lots of people sittingwith flowers in their hair. Um,

(24:11):
he said, they said, hey, man, do you want to score?
And he goes and you know howit is, like and then there
should be more lyrics there, buthe just goes and you know how it
is, you know, like,so I'm walking through the park and these
people offer me drugs and well youknow the rest, and you have to
take it when they offer it.Yeah, it's up there with me.
And I've told you about this severaltimes that Ozzie lyric and the Black Sabbath

(24:33):
song Fairies Wear Boots, where he'slike, I went to the doctor and
the doctor said, you've smoken atrip and is all that you do.
And then Azzie goes, yeah, just like, well you got me and
that missy aboutain out. There shouldbe more to that lyric. But he's
like, and you know how itis like it's like, so, yeah,
I had some drugs. So allright, Well, is that your

(24:55):
complete and total notes for both ofthese Monster records. Monster Records is little
bit of a stretch, but yes, yeah, I mean there are only
two of the largest selling records oftheir respective decades, So I totally understand
where you don't think that they're Monsterrecords. Define Monster Again, I will
say it one more time because maybemaybe it didn't come through on your end

(25:15):
about two of the largest selling recordsof their respective decades. All right,
well, yes, that's I thinkthose are Those are all the notes that
I had written down right on.All right, we are going to take
a quick break, and if you'refamiliar with the format, it means you're
going to hear an add right now, and then shortly after that we'll come
back, do a little bit oftalking. Michelle Gift a ruling, then
we'll have a reaction. So wewill be back in just a couple of

(25:37):
seconds. Hey, I'm pancel Sarin. This is Stevie and I'm Aggie and
we are bfy tw podcast all aboutplaying games and having fun. Our games
are usually based on British panel showsand game shows, but we'll play anything
that captures our attention and imagination. Why it's right there in the title.

(26:00):

hanging out with us. So searchat from the midpod just like it sounds,
or check us out where you canfind podcasts. All right, we're

(27:11):

want to say that I just wantto remind everybody that, of course we're
all on social media, and everybodycomes in there and helps us out and
leaves her tweets and comments and Facebookposts and so on and so forth,
and we greatly appreciate that. Onething I do want to remind everybody that
if you do want to support theshow, we can would very much appreciate
it. All you have to dois go to anchor at dot fm slash

(27:33):
Infectious Script Podcast. You can hitthe support button and support the chow for
as little as one dollar a month, which we would be super dupe for
grateful for. So. I justthought that I'd mentioned that, Michelle,
you have a ruling? Ready? Is that correct? I knew? Are
you one hundred percent sharing your ruling? I am? She is? Yea

(27:55):
lay it honest Michelle who wins thisweek's up on four Man. Oh sweet,
I'm so cited, I think Joe, who commented on our Facebook this
week would be a surprise that Ipicked a classic rock album Joe, Joe
who left? Joe Who Left? What I feel like is the Facebook comment
equivalent of I'm not mad, I'mjust disappointed. Is basically what he said

(28:18):
to you. Joe can continue listeningto these episodes, because I believe he
threatened threatened us with not listening tothe bonus, said he would give us
one more try and so um,which is not why I picked this,
by the way, So I'm notletting Joe win. I'm just this was
the superior album. Um. Igave it a seven out of ten,
which is as I liked this record. I really did, and I didn't

(28:41):
know that I liked it until Ilistened to it. Garth Brooks, on
the other hand, out a littlefour out of ten, So sorry about
that, Kyle Well a low four. Now, anybody who listens to the
show is never going to believe this, But I have some thoughts I want
to share on this. Oh boy. Number one, I want to say
that I think that the more thatyou listen to led Zepplind, the more

(29:03):
I think you'll find that they havea lot more to offer you. And
I like I think personally, Ithink you should meet personally. I think
you should go back and listen tothree and see what you think that I
Three is my favorite led Zeppelind record. It is not everyone's favorite one record.
There's it's been. It's been madeclear to me that I'm very wrong
in h that being my favorite one. However, I want to also because

(29:27):
everyone right four instead. Yeah,I want to say about Garth, And
I don't know how to say thiswithout sounding like I'm insulting no offenses,
because I'm absolutely not. I reallydon't think you should give up on Garth
because remember that that's his second record, and he like, yes, there
are some downers on there, songsthat aren't that great. You gotta remember

(29:48):
he didn't have a very strong teambehind him just yet. So those songs
that are that are that good thatyou did, like the thunder Rolls and
Friends and Low Places and Answer Prayers. In my opinion, at least the
next album Roping the Wind through Scarecroware all songs of that caliber. So
bro I fell asleep at his concert, like what and I listened to some

(30:10):
record, a record of his, like how much more do I have to
put into Garth. Oh you youfell asleep as concert. Nobody else,
just you. That's what I'm saying. He's saying, I need to give
him another shake. But like, bro, that's so many things when I
did. Um, Kyle, Ican't remember how many times I've said this
in my life. But I'm donewith Michelle. You take it from here.

(30:32):
Do you have some words you'd liketo say on Garth? Behalf Kyle
and maybe take a better swing outthan happy. I'm happy overall because I
got Michelle to listening to an entireGarth Otherwise. That was his entire motive
was to you to listen to thatrecord. Nice, well, I mean
wins, you know. Yeah,However, it's got to be done.
You know, he created this podcastand it was this was the long con.

(30:56):
He was like, maybe I'll gether to listen to this record.
It's like Kyle won't even show upfor the next episodes and going forward because
I met mission accomplished. He justmoves out of the house. He's gonna
go right it in his diary, dear Diary, I got Michelle to listen
to No Offenses today. But yeah, no, And this is one of
those weeks two where and next weekis one of them. I'll get to
that in a second, but nextweek is one of them as well.

(31:17):
Where I'm fans of both of theserecords, you know, like, I
wouldn't be mad if one or theother one. I do honestly believe that
LEDs Upland four is the is thestronger of the two records overall. So
I'm happy than it won, butI would I would be tying either way.
I'm just happy we get to keepJoe listening to the bonus episodes.
I did it for the Joe,right. It's a superior record, right

(31:41):
all right. Well that is wherewe are at with the episode now,
so that record LEDs up On fouris safe for now and we'll move on
in the tournament. Next week isanother two huge, huge, huge records
going up against each other, andI would be in shock and awe if
you've ever listened to either of theserecords in their entirety. Um, you

(32:05):
are going to listen to Metallica's uhself titled album, which is their fifth
album and many referred to as theBlack Album. There's no actual title for
it. It just has a blackcover in it self. Time, What
do you mean that there's no type, it's just not doesn't have a title.
Yeah, it's just Metallica. It'snot it's not even self titled.
It's just yeah. Well it's alreadygets points to deductor because you can't even
come title. So it's one ofthe best. Um Anyways, it is

(32:30):
Metallica's fifth ever and among Metallica fans, it's extremely divisive, extremely divisive among
Metallica fans. So but I willtell you it's another one where I think,
like most of the songs that start, you're gonna be like, oh,
I know this one, Like likeover half the record was was hit
singles. So I don't dislike Metallica. I should say that. I'm sure
listen to the record. They they'rethey're they're just kind of there for me.

(32:52):
So I think if they are veryinterested to see if they have a
record that's going to appeal to you, I think this is going to be
the one to be the same. And then mata Las fifth album, The
Black Album, is going up againstPink Floyd's seventh album, The Dark Side
of the Moon, so so well, now this is another one where my

(33:12):
personal favorite record, like The DarkSide of the Moon is my fifth favorite
Pink Floyd record. But I haveentered the Dark side of the Moon into
the tournament for several several reasons thatwe will discuss next week. So um
so, there it is. Thatis the third round of the tournament.
We will get going on prep forthis weekend's main episode, So you guys

(33:34):
will be hearing this on this comingFriday. And so when you're hearing this,
we will be one day out fromrecording the follow up episode of the
main one, which will be outon Monday. And uh so for now
the album is safe from this weekand moving on in the tournament. We
will see you guys later, mysis,
