Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, Yo, this is your boy Fifth Penny and you
tuned into the Infinite Banner show. Shouts out to the
kid man for real, DJ sound Wave, you already know
what time it is. I want you drop that heat,
Fifth Penny one.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Here it is another episode of the Infinite Banter podcast.
My name is Mark Jollaff, also known as DJ Soundwave,
and not just another episode one hundred and ninety ninth episode.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Man, how the hell did I get here?

Speaker 2 (00:58):
There's a lot of episodes, and two hundred is right
around the corner. I mean, I'm I'm round in third
and hopefully I'm not tripping on the way to home plate,
which would be two hundred episodes. Anybody gets a metaphor
hopefully got it? Uh man, one hundred and ninety nine
of these things. So today's episode, it's only fitting that
you know, for one of these episodes leading up to

(01:19):
the big one that I have, somebody's been on multiple times,
and my man Pifth Penny's been on the show at
least five times by now, and he's back on here
to talk about his new EP Warlord three, and much
much more so. Stay tuned The one and only pift
Pennies in the building talking about his new EP Warlord three.
But as I do with all of these episodes, especially

(01:40):
the previous one hundred and ninety eight, you know, we'd
like to think about what happened back then. And in
the last episode, I had Penn Game Classic on and
he talked about his new album, Nostalgia of a Fall Classic.
And here's a quick clip of that episode. Go back
if you've not heard that episode yet and the other
one hundred and ninety seven or whatever it is. My
MAT's starting to get bad now, so here we go

(02:01):
flashback pen Game Classic on the most recent episode of
the Infinite Banter podcast Flashback.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
All these guys were spitting messages, but NAS just split
the way that I would have preferred to spit it
and to relate what I wanted to relay. So that's
where the foundation of what I wanted to do.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
And then I later, you know, the rock Hims.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
I started realizing like, Okay, he's kind of got he's
kind of pitched his style from you know, people before him.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
So you know, then I would study the.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
Rock Hims and you know people that came before that
he that influenced him. I'll kind of had to learn
it learned the hip hop Tree, and I would go
back and forth because if I ran across an artists
and they mentioned artists that influenced them and I didn't
know them or didn't hear them, I would go back
and listen to them myself and kind of, you know,
take some from it or just absorb it and move

(02:53):
all with you.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Definitely go back and hear that episode of you have
not checked it out? Pen Game Classic talking about his
latest Nostalgia of a Fall Classic. Make sure you hear
his album and much much more. You can find him

only man himself, Fifth Penny.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
What's up man?

Speaker 1 (09:28):
Man? What's good with you? Sound Wave?

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Good Man?

Speaker 2 (09:30):
It's always good to hear from you, man, Like I've
been talking to you before and probably for the last
four or five.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
Times that you've been on here.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
Man, it's just you're always putting out that heat and
people who don't know they need to recognize the studio
aka the kitchen. It's like it's never it's never, it's
never closed. The lights don't go off, man, it's always ready.

Speaker 5 (09:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Man, I love doing this music, man, It's it's a
it's a great thing in to have in my life. Man.
I ain't going to lie to you, bro.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
And you've even talked about in the past how much
you USIC has helped you personally, right, and people that
you've you know, known how much the past and people
that you deal with have you know, reflects in the
music you.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
Make yeah, man, for sure. Man, I mean you know,
everybody got they fan base, you know when they're doing
this music stuff. But look, before I get into this,
I just want to thank you for having me on
your show. Brother, No no doubt, I really you know,
I mean, I really appreciate it. We've built the strong
friendship over the years. Man, I value I value that,
and I just wanted to say things before we move forward.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
Man, no doubt about it. And you know, as I
say to everybody, but this specifically, you know, goes to
you whenever I get myself to your area or if
you ever come out here. We got to make it
more personal as a post to phone call. So no doubt, man,
I appreciate, appreciate that. And and by the way, I'm
about to do two hundred episodes of this podcast. So
I can only keep doing this because of people like

(10:52):
yourself who hit me up and say I got something
coming out. You know, do you mind you know, mind
doing something? So trust me, man, it goes both ways.
So you know, Matt's doing the salute right here. You
can't see it, but that's what's up.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
Two hundred. There's a big milestone, Broke. Congrats in advance.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
You know what I mean, I don't even know how
it happened. I mean, honestly, you probably know this too.
I mean, think of how many projects and songs you've recorded, right,
I'm sure it's you can't even probably count as many
as there are. And sometimes you probably you can probably
reflect on this when you think about where you're at now,
World War three, I mean there's three of these things.
I mean, you go back to songs you made five, six,
seven years ago, right, It's like do you do you
sometimes sit back like, Man, I've done a lot of

(11:27):
shit and I don't even know.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
How I got there.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
Yo. I'm looking at my wall right now, and I
got almost ten vinyls hanging up on the wall. Man,
It's been a really crazy journey, bro. But I've been
really blessed to come across people like you, you know what
I'm saying, doubt to help me and and also help
you grow your platform, you know what I'm saying, Like,
that's that's where it's really at, you know, building relationships.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
You know it's mutual, man, And was there a point
for you, like you know, like for me when I
was doing this podcast, it took me a good twenty
episode to feel like I knew what I was doing
up for you, when you start putting out music, was
there like a turning point? Was there like a certain
song or an album you made, you're like, all right,
I think I got this.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
Yeah, bro, definitely that's a great question, great question, but
for sure, man, I would probably say after my first Warlord,
which was my second I think or third release as
far as EPs. But yeah, after that first Warlord, I
kind of felt like I felt more comfortable releasing music

(12:27):
in a better way, and then I felt more comfortable
in my bag too, So yeah, for sure, definitely it
took me a little while. You know what I'm saying.
I've been rapping for a long time, but to actually
come up with something structured and put it put it
out the right way. For sure. Definitely after that Warlord.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
Once see, there you go, and you know, all of us,
whether you're doing podcasts, music, working out the gym, whatever
it is. Of course it's things you can improve on
and even get better. But there's always everybody has like
a turning point where they're doing something they like, whether
it's a hobby or actually good job whatever, where you
feel like, okay, I got this.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
I can do this. You know.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
Obviously you can grow or you could stay stagnant. But
it's good to hear that. For you, that point probably
was that Warlord joint and that don't make sense. Yeah
we're talking about today, you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (13:10):
So yeah, for sure, man, Man, I came a long
way from the first Warlord addition to this, you know
what I'm saying, This whole series of Warlord that I've
been doing. But yeah, man, that first one was definitely
something that, you know what I mean, put me in
a different bag. I had to really focus. And the
guy that produced it out he's just one of those

(13:31):
guys where he just knew where I needed to be,
so he helped me out with that. And yeah, man,
from there, man, my growth has been crazy. Man, And
shouts out to Jay Jamal, you know what I mean.
He the newve Ae Jamal and Neuve, he the one
who produced it. There you go, man, you feel me right?

Speaker 2 (13:48):
And when you made that one, did you have any
idea like I'm gonna do a second one, I'm gonna
do a third one. Was there ever any foresight that
you'd be doing more than one Warlord?

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Yeah? I think you know what I'm saying, Like, I
think I picked it, picked this serious up because I
felt like, you know, going through different kind of situations
in my life, I needed to have an outlet, and
I was like, you know what, this is a perfect
way to put out my put my stress in, all
my anger and everything that I had built up into

(14:17):
me into an actual project called like, you know, warlord,
someone that just has battle tested, you know, someone that
has been through stuff and overcome things. You know what
I'm saying, By the grace of God, you know what
I mean. I felt like I've been put on this
earth to face battles because I've been battle tested many
times in my life. So yeah, I mean when I

(14:39):
started that project, man, I was like, you know what,
I'm gonna call the Warlord. You know what I'm saying,
And it's gonna be a serious because I know it's
not over. You know, they say the best go through
the most, and I just kind of feel like, you
know what I mean, I'm the best at what I
do and I just know that the devil out here
is busy. So you know what I'm saying, I'm gonna

(14:59):
come across the ferent situations where I know, I'm gonna
be able to put this anger and this stress and
all this tension into a project. So you know, that's
where these projects are coming from, just different times in
my life where I've been stressed and you know, and
I just put I direct that into the music, and
I don't know, man, it just seems like it got
me in my bag every single time. Man, I'm able

(15:21):
to really put something together and you know, not you know,
directed towards anyone necessarily, but just kind of like, look,
you know this, I've been through so much. Man, I'm
about to get all this album on record some way, somehow.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
Yeah, you know, yeah, I was gonna say on this
one here, you definitely some some.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
Strays got caught, I think on this EP.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
Man, I mean I wasn't I wasn't duck in, but
I know there's some people out there that might have
been here just like whoa wait a minute. You know,
you definitely went in a little bit talk about that.
Was there something that triggered that kind of you know,
taking to maybe not the next level, but you definitely
let heads know that you're not messing around and there's
a lot of cats or not really taking this seriously.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
Yeah. Well, you know when you come across certain situations
in your life, man, and you just kind of got
to take them for what they are. And that's what
I did for this project, man. You know, just going
just just going through some stuff with a brother of mine, man,
you know what I mean. You know, brothers was going
to fight and fuss and all that stuff. And you
know what I mean, a nigga homeboy that I really

(16:21):
really loved man with all my heart. Man. He was
a good nigga, but part of my French but you know,
we had all fall out and we just fighting right now,
that's all. You know who he is. But I wish
the nigga the best. And you know, I just had
to direct my energy into this project for all the
stress that I went through dealing with this dude, you
know what I mean. So I just kind of look

(16:43):
at it like it is what it is, you know
what I mean. I didn't bring none of my artists
into how I felt on this project. I just let
them do their thing. And the feedback I'm getting, you know,
is ridiculous. It's crazy. They're like, man, what's going on
and who are you talking about? And I'm like look,
you know I ain't being out. Yeah, like everything good,

(17:05):
you know what I mean. Like this project was meant
to beat this way for a reason, you know what
I mean. You know what I mean. I directed my
energy into the project instead of putting it into a
negative place, you know what I'm saying, Like out into
the world for real, for real, right. But I did
it in a way where I felt. Man, this project
is so crazy. Every song is different, every beat is like,

(17:27):
you know, touches on different, you know what I'm saying,
like feelings and stuff. So like, yeah, man, it was
just time to do this. My man Radical Okay hit
me up and he wanted to work on a project,
and the beats just kind of touched where I want,
where I was at in my life. So I decided
to make it war Lord three, you know what I'm saying.
And it just it just came a beautiful man, you

(17:49):
know what I'm saying. It's just genuine all the ideas
on this project. Man, between me and Radical man, we
just we both put our heads together and we made
a really dope project. Man. Proud of him, He proud
of me, yeah, man. And it's a lot of work
to be done. In the future with that guy. Definitely.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
Is this the first time you guys work together. Have
you guys done anything else?

Speaker 1 (18:09):
No, we have not done anything else. We got mutual friends,
so we've been following each other for a while on
social media. He worked closely with one of my producers
that I call like, you know, like one one the
producer that I've really deal with a lot, and that's AdWords. Yeah, yeah,
so he know Adwards, and that's how I end up,
you know, kind of like find to him. So but yeah, man,

(18:31):
it's like he's in Chili, in the country Chili, so
like he ain't even in the United States. But you
know what I'm saying, Like he speaks English, so we're
able to, you know what I'm saying, talk and you know,
make sure our ideas connect and all that stuff. And man,
we came up with a really beautiful project. He's definitely
a great beat smith man. He has a great year,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
It's crazy how many times I hear about, you know,
a producer in a country that you know, you just
don't think about hip hop, right, but this thing is
so global, man, that it doesn't matter. I mean, it
can be somebody in like you said, Chile or name
a country in Europe or wherever.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
And my af plus he from Brazil. That was like,
you know what I mean, he produced a few of
my projects, and I mean, I don't know, man, It's
just like the way that I'm running into these people
and being able to work with so many, like the
talent that is crazy, bro. And then like you said,
to know that they're not here in the States. It's like, man,
hip hop is definitely worldwide. I'm running into so many

(19:30):
talented producers. Man, It's just a blessing. Bro. Yeah, man,
it really is. Bro.

Speaker 2 (19:34):
I remember the first time I linked up with you,
you had done something with Manzu Beats, and I know
they're over you know, in Europe, and it's just like
I should be surprised, right, but I'm not, because I
think he's in Spain, right, And every time I think
about this and it's like, man, why am I surprised still,
because it's just like a new country I never thought of.
And I don't think I've heard about Chile, right or Brazil.
I mean, yeah, I've heard about them, but I mean

(19:56):
they are they on the hip hop scene? Yes, they
are obviously. Gaus are making this so yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
Yeah, and it all relates back to where you know,
the States. I mean, all of them are connected to
the States somehow. Like Radical was just in Florida. I know,
he got family there, you know what I mean. So
like they all pretty much connected some way, somehow back
to the States, but they don't live here. And it's
just like, man, this is like it's crazy, you know
what I'm saying. Like I feel like I've already traveled

(20:22):
the world, you know what I'm saying in a sense,
you know what i mean, and not really like left nowhere,
because I'm building these friendships with all these different producers
and MC's as well, you know what I mean. It's
a lot of MC's that I do work with. Man,
and I'm like, dang, man, you know they got stuff
popping in their country, and oh man, it's a beautiful thing. Bro.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
Man, you're your your microphone, remember like those old cartoons were,
like the luggage I have all the stickers of different
countries and stuff, like your microphone would have like like
Samson Night luggage stickers. You know, Chile, Spade, right, you know, Baltimore,
North Carolina, Chicago.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
Yeah, Well I got I got all my projects in vinyl,
so most most of all of them. And every time
I look at him, I think, like, you know what
I'm saying, Like the producer that did this vinyl with me? Man,
he looking at the same thing I'm looking at right,
So I you know what I mean to know that
my music is floating in a different country, it's sitting
on people's walls or in their studios, you know what

(21:18):
I'm saying, Like, Yo, my dream is really became true already.
I'm just kind of like in it right now, you
know what I mean. I'm just contributing more to it,
you know what I mean, no doubt, Like, yeah, that's
how I feel about about this whole hip hop stuff. Man.
I've met a lot of people through this journey, man,
and it's been a really great experience.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
And without without even going into it too much, but
that almost makes sense with you know, when you have
a beef, let's say, with somebody you know, well, but
you're meeting people in other places, so it's not like
you have to you know, I gotta stick with this
guy only like I know people around my way, around
my corner, my block, my city, whatever, Right, you're branched
out man. So it's not that you don't have time

(21:57):
for somebody around you you've known forever, but there's other
people you're connecting with.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
It's like you can't don't have time for petty stuff.
So you're you're you.

Speaker 1 (22:04):
Know, yeah, that's true. You know, Like like I tell
all my all my close friends that I talk to,
you know, maybe on a normal basis, you know what
I'm saying, Like everybody has their own season in life
where some seasons come to an end, and you know,
and that's all that's all it is, you know what
I'm saying, Like me, me, me and my guy season
came to an end. But at the same point, like

(22:25):
you know what I'm saying, I'm not one of those
dudes that are with people like the worst in life,
you know what I mean, Like I really wish everybody well.
I want people to succeed because a lot of I
mean most majority of people I come across, man, I
really like, you know what I mean, genuine people, talented people,
you know what I'm saying. And you know, I'm just
like them in a sense. You know what I mean,
I'm genuine, I'm talented, but you know, everybody got their

(22:47):
little line that they look at people like, you know,
you just can't cross certain lines and stuff in life.
And you know, like my season over with with with
with all of that, and but in Warlord three remind
me that, you know what I'm saying, Like I'm I'm
just one of those guys that just like to put
out music when I'm stressed, really great music when I'm

(23:07):
stressed projects when it comes to this this particular series,
you know what I mean. So you know I do
other series, like you know, I got a couple of
like Stativa Indica series, you know what I mean. That's
that's a more like kind of like, Yo, we were chilling,
we party and were blowing the best, you know what
I mean, Like we chilling. So I got different series
and stuff, Hoodie season Joint with AdWords, you know, we

(23:30):
got I get different moves just like all any other
mc wood, you know what I mean. And it's just
really it's just the craft. It's just how the craft is.
And you know what I mean, And I feel like
I'm my best man, you know what I'm saying. When
I'm going through my different seasons in life, I'm able
to put out different pieces of work and this piece
right here man warld loar three. It is so awesome.

Speaker 5 (23:51):
Man.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
I feel real good about this project. And I'm getting
great feedback too, you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (23:56):
And it's not just people hitting you up like hey,
you were talking with me right now. You're good?

Speaker 1 (24:04):
Yeah, I mean for real, for real, Like I'm not
even getting like hey, yo, what's going on? Like you're good?
Or like what's what is this? You know what I mean?
Like the people in my circle, you know, like some
people in my circle, you know, know the fallout I had,
you know what I mean, and they know it's not
it ain't really nothing serious, you know what I mean.
But also like they know like the work that I
put out, you know what I'm saying, so they looking

(24:25):
at it like damn, like what you did was crazy?
Like this sounds great, you know what I mean, Like
it sounds great, you know what I mean. But yeah,
it's it's the project is structured in a way, you
know what I mean, where I'm just kind of going
through my moves, you know what I mean, on each song,
and then I bring in different MC's to kind of like,
you know what I mean, incorporate you know, the feeling

(24:48):
of just like the war the warness of the project
just like badling, you know what I mean. Everybody's just
like nice on this album, you know what I mean.
I'm like, Wow, it came through really nice.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
No doubt. Man. And we get get into the album
here too, and I'm guessing as well, it's like therapy.
You're channeling that good or bad energy into these projects, man,
and it really shows every time you do. So yeah,
let's get into the album. So five tracks and then
like you said earlier, man, they're not all like they
have different feel to them, you know what I mean.
It's a lot for five songs. There's a lot going on, man,

(25:21):
sharp boy, I know you've been promoting that a lot
on IG you talk about.

Speaker 1 (25:24):
That track, Yeah for sure. Yeah. Shop Boy is like,
you know, I look at it like shop Boys is
like I'm just kind of like showing you how shop
I am with my skills. I'm showing you how shop
I am with the animation of the whole concept of
the actual song. It's just kind of like, you know,
it's just like you know, I'm showing you like I'm

(25:46):
starting off shop with this thing. I'm not coming in Dole,
I'm not coming in ilight with it. You know what
I'm saying, Like we coming in real shop and I'm
gonna tighten up every every loose boat that I got
going through this whole thing, and I'm starting with the
shop Boy first, you know what I mean. So like, yeah,
that's that. That track touched me. Man, that was like
I think my first track I record, And I was like,

(26:07):
dag man, you know, I think this needed to open
up the album just kind of how the feeling of
it starts, you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
Right now, it makes sense and it's a good way
to start it, you know, get people invested in, Like
I here where we go? This, this is what this
EP is going to be like when you get into
the rest of it. And you'd mentioned there's some features
on here and little Last Tool the second track, you
got a couple on there, and yeah, yeah to talk
about you that track, man, that one definitely some spinners here.

Speaker 1 (26:32):
Yeah for sure.

Speaker 5 (26:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (26:34):
I mean I was just you know, just in the
studio bs and man, and when I got that, when
I got to that beat, I was just like, hey,
this track car hit me, like, you know, like I
wanted to get kind of like grimy, but you know
what I mean, just do some like stuff something like
ain't nobody really never heard? So like where I'm from Baltimore,
we call you know what I mean, the candy Mica Knights.

(26:55):
We call them mic Knights, you know what I mean.
When I'm growing up, you know what I mean, I
was like, man, about to get me some Mike Knights
from the store, just that and the third and that's
just like a bottlemore thing, you know what I mean,
And like even like the even like Mike Mountain. I
got Mike Mountain on the track. He hit me like, yo,
all right, I don't even know what you're talking about.
He from DC and we both in the DMV area.

(27:16):
That just show you how different we both our lang,
our slang is, you know what I mean. He didn't
even understand. I had to break it down to him,
so he was like, Yo, that's crazy. And so yeah
that it just kind of stemmed off, like you know,
I was just kind of wanted to go back to
my old memory of something and then and that just

(27:37):
came out when I started writing the hook. I was like,
Mike Knights, all right, let me let me use that
in some kind of way shape for him, or fashion,
And then when I wrote the hook, man, I was like,
oh man, that's crazy. So I like Mike Mountain hit me.
I think that the day after I wrote the hook
and I was like, Dad, you know Mike mount and
Mike Knights. I was like, Yo, I'm about to ask

(27:58):
Mike to get on this joint with me. You know
what I'm saying. Yeah, everything started to line up perfect.
And then I already had I hated in mind to
get on the track with me because that's my own
girl for.

Speaker 2 (28:13):
In the past.

Speaker 3 (28:13):
I remember, yes, she's.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
Oh yeah, we got plenty of tracks. But yeah, man,
I just knew. I just kind of felt like she
would like the vibe. So of course I sent it
to her and she sent her verse back and it
was crazy. Both of the verses was crazy. Man. Yeah,
you know, yeah, the whole mic nights you know what
I mean, Like when you're shooting a little tool with
them little mic nights out of it, you know what
I mean. That's kind of how I want people to

(28:37):
think about it, Like, Yo, that's crazy. It's just the
way you know MC's might put put together their words
and stuff when they you know, coming up with creative tracks.
You know what I mean. So that's kind of how
all that came together. But you know that track is
serious though, it really is.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
Yeah, man, And as an outsider, you know the DMV
area and I've had different artists on here and they're
talking about how the music is so different from those
three areas, and now you're talking how the slang is
different and things like that. I feel like I'm learning
every time I talk to one of you guys from there,
that there's so much it's almost like their own little
little pockets that are almost you know, where somebody's coming

(29:12):
from somewhere else based on how not only the music
they like, but the way.

Speaker 3 (29:15):
They're speaking in the slang.

Speaker 2 (29:16):
Right, it's all right?

Speaker 1 (29:18):
Yeah. I actually I don't even think I either or
Mike knew about this, but I actually had another MC
from New York that was gonna get on there, and
he asked me the same question. When he heard that.
He was like, yo, I don't even know what that means.
So I mean it translates to every where. Really, I mean,
everybody got their own little slang, especially like I think
in my era when I grew up in the nineties.

(29:39):
You know what I'm saying. Like hip hop was really
deep back then. I mean, now it's starting to branch
out and become more open. You know, you got to
have a more open mind when you listening to hip hop.
But back then, man, you just knew what hip hop
was when you heard it, you know what I mean.
And everybody had their own little slang bone thugs, even
to the Warren G's you know what I'm saying, like

(30:01):
the Snoop so right, you know what I mean. Like
we always, like me and my friends, when we used
to like rap and stuff against each other, we always
used to use our own slangs and stuff against each other.
It's just you know, it was just like talking to
each other, you know what I mean. So to bring
that into the world, you know what I mean, to
be more transparent about what we're saying now, it wasn't

(30:23):
like that back in the day. If you ain't know
what it was then, you wasn't down. Now people are
more open to explaining you know what I mean, and
you understanding and stuff. It's it's crazy how hip hop
has changed, man. But it's a beautiful thing though.

Speaker 2 (30:37):
Yeah, And it goes back to we're talking about before
you know this, producers in Chile and you know, in
Europe and places like that, and yeah, but where we're
talking about like in the nineties, you know, yeah, like
outcast or ghetto boys or something, and they represented a
region of the country where now I don't think it's
really broken off like that. I mean, of course, there's
different dialects and stuff you could tell from someone you know,

(30:57):
being from somewhere else, but it's so universal now that Yeah,
you're right. The only things that really are different is
the slang or maybe some sort of term that you
might use in an in an area that nobody else,
you know, that's me being Chicago. I don't.

Speaker 3 (31:11):
I didn't. I never heard that before.

Speaker 2 (31:12):
I don't know that, and I'm probably there's probably some
words I could say that you'd be like, I've never
heard that either, Like what does that mean?

Speaker 1 (31:17):
Right?

Speaker 2 (31:17):
So there it is, man, So I guess that's like
the only real thing that feels like the nineties still, right,
it's just using those little bit of phrases and words.

Speaker 3 (31:24):
That kind of still make it home to that that base.

Speaker 2 (31:27):
But it's so universal now that the sound is is,
you know, doesn't necessarily have that regional sound like it
used to, maybe to a point, but not to the
the way.

Speaker 1 (31:36):
Well, oh for sure. And that was my first time
working with Mike Mountain, but it won't be my last. Man,
that guy got some great skills. Yeah, I mean, and
he doing this thing right now. Man, he's definitely wrapping
dcr Yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:48):
Man, he's he kills it. And so does Aeta. She's
she's dope on it, of course, you guys, definitely, of course, man,
that's that's a that's a nice one, man. And you
know the next track, war benefits. Man, he definitely brought
it in that one as well. Talk about the feature
there and the.

Speaker 1 (32:02):
Yah yeah, man shouts out to Jay Flyz. Man, I'm
telling you this guy, man, he came through. And what's
crazy is like, so that song came about when I
heard that beat, I was like, you know, I got
to write to this beat, like you know what I'm saying,
like a girl, but I'm like, this is Warlord three,
so I can't be you know what I mean, like

(32:25):
all smoochie in love love with this joint. So I
was like, so I wrote my verse, I knew where
I wanted to be with it, and then the hook
kind of already was there, so you know, like I
kind of went into it like what what benefits do
you have of war? You know what I'm saying, That's
got to be more benefits than just like richest and fame.

Speaker 5 (32:46):
You know.

Speaker 1 (32:47):
So I was like, I want to destructure this song
to be like, all right, well, you got a girl
at home. You know, I'm married, So I'm like, I'm
always trying to incorporate that somehow, until my music in
a way, you know what I mean, was like, Yo,
that's one benefit of wars coming home to your girl,
you know what I mean. So that's why I called
it war benefits. And then the way I went was like,

(33:09):
you know, I wanted to talk to Shorty end. You know,
I'm home for a little bit, you know what I mean,
I gotta go back out. I want I want you
with you, and she just basically, you know what I mean,
reassuring me that what you're doing is right. I'm here
for you, but you know what I mean. Of course,
you know how old women are. They don't want you
to leave, so you know, I incorporated that, and then
you know, all the all the marriage kind of like

(33:30):
you know things that you do. But yeah, man, after
I came up with all of that. Man, I reached
out to Jay Flyz. I seen I heard something of
his and I was like, man, I think this guy
would be great on his song. And come to find out,
he's been a big fan of mine for a while, man,
which was like crazy because I had no idea he
was listening to my music, you know what I mean. So,

(33:52):
but yeah, man, after after that was done, Man, it's
just another cool cat man that I bumped into to
say that. You know, we gonna be making music too
in the future as well. So, but that song is
like a lot of people's favorites right now, you know
what I mean, Like that song is huge. You know,
we got a video coming to Yeah, we got it. Yeah,

(34:15):
we got an AI video that's already done. I just
got it. I got it on top, you know what
I mean. Just kind of going through the promotions, you know.
You know how I do, bro, I take it easy
and just show and show it to all how it's
supposed to come.

Speaker 5 (34:31):
You know.

Speaker 1 (34:31):
There you go.

Speaker 2 (34:32):
It's definitely a track that that's probably unique amongst the
other ones, Like it's the one that definitely stands out
and as it does.

Speaker 1 (34:39):
Yeah, man, and you know that sample that are that radical?
Did man? His beat? That beat is crazy.

Speaker 2 (34:46):
Yeah, it's definitely the one you go back to and
you're like, man, I'm hearing this one differently every time
I listen to it or something that I'm catching, and yeah,
it's sick.

Speaker 3 (34:54):
And he's definitely nice.

Speaker 2 (34:55):
Definitely.

Speaker 3 (34:56):
I'm sure you guys are work again.

Speaker 1 (34:57):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
He definitely killed it, you know, on this And I
can't even front piff Penny Man. When I saw the
songs that's my man m Doc Diego was on there,
I'm like, Okay, I don't want to play that one
first because it's but I know.

Speaker 1 (35:10):
You rock with him that hard. But that's dope because
I feel the same way. Yo, Like when I see
his name on songs, they'll be like, Yo, let me
go ahead with my man. See what he talking about?
Because you know, I mean like like like I've told
this before, maybe maybe a podcast that we've been on before.
But man, like when I first heard about Man, like

(35:30):
I felt, I don't know, I kind of got this
Prodigy vibe and like Prodigy is like my favorite autist
said that, you know what I mean, So like I
like instant, he instantly like grabbed my attention when I
heard his voice because it's like, you know, he got this.
I think it's it's not Big Noy, it's another guy.
I can't think of his name on the top of

(35:51):
my mind, but he got this kind of grimy voice
to him and he be with them. He's a part
of mob Be Crew but it minded me and him
too and a little bit. But he sound like Prodigy
when he brat and I'm like, damn, like he grabbed me.
But man, he's always been one of my favorites for
years now, man, and for him to actually work with me, man,

(36:12):
it's been a blessing. I met him through man Zoo,
so you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (36:15):
Yeah, Man, that's that first time I heard him. It
was that Universal Tongues album he did with Manzu and
I remember here and I'm man, this dude's grime is
like perfect. I was like, man, he's got that right grime,
this factor I don't know how to wordy, man, and
it's so dope. And he's like the most coolest dude
on the side of that.

Speaker 1 (36:34):
Like it's yeah, he's cool man, real down to earth,
real cool. And his dad, his Dan, a producer too.
You know what I'm saying. Yeah, and which is really dope.
I mean, g nice man, that guy. Man, he's awesome. Man,
like he come from a music making family, which makes
it better for him. Man, I already know it does, right,
you know what I mean? Man? That song is dope.

Speaker 2 (36:57):
Man, you guys definitely killed it on that. We'll talk
about Cold Case. Just the name alone makes us all
right if we're running some serious stuff here, yeah, bro, so.

Speaker 1 (37:05):
Yeah, man, some interesting facts about Cold Case. Well, I'm
gonna start off with just kind of like talking about
the song. But so cold Cases came out of just
like a thought of When I heard the beat, I
was like, Dad, this sounds like one of those like
cold Case foul beats, Like you're here behind like you know,
you know they'll bring it in and be like, yo,

(37:26):
that's that track, you know, Like that's I grew up
like thinking like that when I hit. When I see
different shows, I like to listen to the instrumentals that
they're playing bringing them in and I even used to
try to find them the rap over man, Like that's
how much hip hop. I love hip hop so much man,
it's crazy. Yeah, like all the Dick Wolf's joints and

(37:46):
like I was just telling my wife. Yeah for real, bro,
I'm not even lying man, Like I'm a big, like
cold case mysterycon dude. You know, I used to watch
all that kind of stuff, bro, and I did, and
I did it because I was so intrigued about all
the sound on tracks and you know, all the stuff
that they used to play to go with the scenes
like that always intrigued me. Bro, you know what I'm saying.

(38:07):
But yeah, that's kind of how I wanted to go
with with the track. So when I heard that track,
and you know, I wrote wrote the verse and everything,
and I was like, you know, who will be perfect
match to get on here with me? M Diego? And
sure enough? Yeah, I sent that to him and he
was like, yeah, man, he told me when he heard it.
Him and his dad heard it, they said that it
sounded like a J. Dillar beat. I was like, oh

(38:28):
my gosh, wait until I tell radicals there. Yeah. I
was like, Yo, that's crazy, y'all said that, man. I said, Man,
that's hip hop right there. Bro. That made me feel
good that I sent it to him too, you know,
because I already knew what he was going to do
with it. And when I got his verse back.

Speaker 3 (38:45):
I was like, yes, sir, it shout out to that
is like saying Dick Wolf, Yeah you feel me?

Speaker 1 (38:52):
Yeah, my man, Dick Man, that boy he put classics out.
But yeah, fun fact about that track. So my man
Bounty Bownie Johnson was supposed to be on ad with
us man And I don't know if you know Bowntie Johnson.
He I believe Bounty in a South somewhere. But he
a real nice cat man. His his his flow is

(39:13):
different and and it's very like catchy, like I mean,
you either hate it, hate it or you love it.
And most people love it from what I'm getting, Like
I've haven't came across anybody. It hasn't been like, man,
what is this gout? He's very transparent when he rapped,
you know what I mean. And it's just different bro
and he but he's an MC for real, for real.
He was supposed to be on the track and I

(39:34):
think something ended up going happening and he had to
take care of some business. But you know, like when
you working on projects and stuff, you can only wait
so long for you know, for for for versus and stuff.
So it was just kind of one of those things
where I'm like, Yo, I got you on the next one.
We actually just got finished put being on a Rock
City Radio compilation album together, so that's why I wanted

(39:56):
to reach out and get him on this because that
went so well and then was the first time we
was on a track together. So that's why I reached
out to him because I was like, man, I gotta
get Bounty on a song on this joint. But it
ain't work out, but you know what, I incorporated him
into like my verses, so I wouldn't leave him out,
you know what I'm saying. And he was you know
what i mean. He hit me like highly appreciative about that, bro,

(40:18):
like you know what I'm saying. Like he was like, Yo,
you did me a solid one. I was like, yeah, bro,
you know what I mean, Like you know what I mean.
You couldn't make it, but I still put you in there,
like you you know what I mean, because I wanted
to seem like, you know, I wanted to talk about
people around me that were that were doing stuff, So
I wanted I made him like a character in one
of my verses, you know what I'm saying. So but yeah,

(40:40):
that joint came out real good. You know what I'm saying.
I added my third verse to it, and yeah, we
got a me and m dot Diego actually got an
actual video visual coming to that, Like, yeah, we got
our footage and stuff put together, and I'm well, I
have the footage. I'm getting it worked on right now,
so all can be looking for that in the near future.

Speaker 2 (41:02):
That's coming there you go, man, And I know you
got some visuals for sharp Boy already out there, right and.

Speaker 3 (41:07):
And you know the ones.

Speaker 1 (41:08):
Every song gonna have a visual there you go. Yeah,
and Little As two actually won't have an actual visual
because of where all the MC's are at. We all
kind of spread out. But but just know that I
got a cover made for that song and the cover
is fire and I'm gonna send it to you when
we're done so you can take a look at it.

Speaker 3 (41:28):
Oh yeah, no doubt.

Speaker 1 (41:28):
Man.

Speaker 2 (41:29):
I'll even put it in the promo stuff that I
try to put out there when I promote the episode
and everything. So we definitely do that. And man, man,
everybody listen to make sure you go check this out.
It's out on all platforms. And then the last track,
I n A R Part three.

Speaker 3 (41:43):
Man, talk about this one, right, here and let people
know what that stands for.

Speaker 1 (41:47):
Yeah, yeah, so yeah that it stands for I'm not
a rap there. So basically, you know, I got a
part one, I got and all of them on on
the Warlord series. Part one is on Warlord two point
Warlord one, Part two is on Warlord two point five,

(42:07):
and yeah this is be part three. But yeah, I
mean I always got to express on these series that look,
I'm not a I'm not a rapper. Like you can't
call Piff a rapper. Please don't call me a rapper. Rappers,
you know, I feel like, are limited at where they
stand on tracks, and I feel like, you know, with

(42:30):
my versatility, you know I used to sing, I can
come with harmonized vocals on hooks, I can rap, I can.
You know what I'm saying, I can like make my
voice sound a certain kind of way to whereas though
you know what I mean, you'd be like, yo, that
is piff, but dad, you know what I mean. Like
I'm just different. I'm very diverse, but more so you

(42:53):
know what I'm saying, Like I'm very good at putting
together songs. So like I feel like I'm an MC.
I'm not a rapper you know, like, again, rappers are
very limited at what they do, and I'm not limited
at what I do when it comes to this, you
know what I mean, So please don't call me a rapper.
That's why I say I'm not a rapper, you know
what I mean. But yeah, you know I had, I had.

(43:14):
I had a friend make fun of that song, so
I was like, you know what, I had to go
in on a part three. I was like, you know, like,
come on, man, like I don't know again, you know,
like I don't do the whole bunch of back and
forth on the internet kind of thing. And when I
seen that, I was like, bro, stop playing with me.
I was like, man, I'm not a rapper. Bro, you

(43:35):
know what I'm saying. And I was like, let me
go ahead and make me a part three real quick.
It's just to reinter rate that I'm not a rapper.
But you know, and also I wanted to make sure
that I put a part three on it anyway, so
it kind of felt perfect. So I'm getting a lot
of fall out over that that song. So you know,
from certain people, they like, boy you tripping.

Speaker 2 (43:58):
To earlier about the strays and caught. I mean, that's
that's a song where you know, definitely again ya, I.

Speaker 1 (44:05):
Just want to reiterate to man, like you know what
I mean, Like, Yo, you know what I'm saying, ain't
no beef. I love, I love, I love everybody, Bro,
you know what I mean. Like on some real real talk,
you know what I mean. But again, you know what
I'm saying, Like everybody go through their season in life, bro,
and that season is old with you know what I mean,
like it is it really is, yo. But this this

(44:25):
this I'm not a rap apart three is It's definitely
like one of them highlight songs. A lot of people like, bro,
this joint is really like deep you know, well.

Speaker 2 (44:34):
It's a good way to connect them all too, because
you know there's a part you know, part three, So
somebody wants to to hear part one.

Speaker 3 (44:40):
Now they're going to go back and check out right that,
you know?

Speaker 1 (44:43):
Right?

Speaker 3 (44:43):
So I mean that's I.

Speaker 2 (44:44):
Remember when I was growing up, man, big epum D fan,
like they had a Jane record on every album and
if you maybe missed an album, like man, what happened
in Jane four?

Speaker 3 (44:53):
I got to go back and or who killed Jane?
You know, like they did that on every album, so correct.

Speaker 2 (44:57):
I like, I like that kind of idea of like
you're you're kind of connecting them even though they each
album said its own thing, but it's still kind of
connect there's one thing that connects them all, and that
that would be it.

Speaker 1 (45:06):
Yeah. I mean, you're absolutely right. And you get gonna
get different vibes from each one of them because they're
all produced by different producers too, so like, yeah, for sure, man.

Speaker 2 (45:17):
And talk about the cover art, man, I feel like
it's straight out of you know, video game or something.

Speaker 1 (45:21):
Man.

Speaker 3 (45:21):
I feel like, you know, fifth Penny running through the streets,
you know, getting getting.

Speaker 1 (45:25):
Ready to Yeah. Man, well I've been teaching myself this
AI stuff man for a minute. So I've been dealing,
dipping and dabbing in this program I've been working with.
And yeah, I built that cover myself, man, And and
it came out of just knowing that I went through
a war in my mind writing this whole album, so
I was like, you know, I wanted to make sure
that it reflects that. And then and when I put

(45:48):
it together, I didn't have a face to it. So
I was like, you know, what, what would go better
than my logo?

Speaker 2 (45:56):
Yeah, it's like some color type sts he's running through,
you know, some bombs almost right, And how do you
like to work with the AI stuff? You getting prety
good at it? Seems like I would say you are.

Speaker 1 (46:05):
From why help? Yeah? I got help from this guy
I'm dealing with online. He helps me a lot, man,
because you know, it's just really like me just trying
to figure out where to play stuff at and what
kind of formulas to use. But Yo, I'm telling you,
like I'm getting better and the help that I'm getting
it like it's really like awesome. I mean, it's like
twenty four hours, man, I can reach out anytime I'm

(46:27):
in trouble. I would call it because I like to
be specific about how I do my artwork. But I
wanted to say that the reason why the cover is
the way it is too, because like you got to
go back and easy for people that have not seen
the series covers, all the covers have something to do
with some kind of war person. Like the part one

(46:51):
is like a little like a teenager, you know what
I'm saying, But he's got war scenes behind him, you
know what I mean. It's like a many teenage fifth penny,
you know, what I'm saying. And then like part two.
Part two has like a ninja you know what I'm saying,
that just slicing a monster with World War two going

(47:11):
past it, you know what I'm saying. Then Part three
is like you would call him like a soldier, you
know what i mean. So, like all of them are
kind of stick on the same you know what i mean,
kind of like visual kind of like terms when you
see him, you like you could place them together. So
I wanted to make sure it stayed in that same
kind of realm as well, you know what i mean,
without a doubt.

Speaker 2 (47:30):
And you said at the end of it, there's going
to be a part four. I wrote that question down
before I finished the EP, and then he said, he
said pretty much at the end, like yeah, man, here'll
be another one.

Speaker 3 (47:39):
So you kind of answered the question already.

Speaker 1 (47:42):
Yeah for sure, bro, Like I mean, I'm not sure
how long this series is going to be, but you
know what I'm saying, Like I've been through so much
in the last three years, man, I mean I feel
like you know what I mean, Like just like on
a personal tipsay, my fans, so my fans are no
like you know what I mean, everybody go through something
in life, you know, I mean to Whisdough, they gotta
step back and actually get their self help. So I

(48:03):
have I've been doing that, you know what I mean
in the last three years, been just trying to step
step back and you know, be around the people that
can really help me with my mental or help me
with just circumstances that I've been facing in life. And
it's okay to get help, you know what I mean.
I want all my fans to know that, you know
what I mean, and to be around people that love
you and won't treat you differently, you know, because of

(48:27):
who you are and because of your circumstances out of
your life, you know what I mean. So like that's
most important to me when it comes to just life,
you know what I mean, outside of this music stuff,
So you know what I mean. Like I said, I've
been battle testing in life and I just you know
what I mean. Whant all my fans to know like
you can be you know what I'm saying, Like you
can act like you the hardest rapper or the hardest

(48:48):
person in life when you're in that social media world.
But you gotta step back and really look at your life,
you know what I mean, when you not and that
should be most important first, and that's what I stand on,
you know what I mean. And I let my music
reflect my ability to really be able to put my
negativity into something really that will bring people towards me

(49:09):
in a positive way, not negative way, you know what
I mean. Yeah, man, So, like, I know that's deep, bro,
but it's real because like a lot of people don't know,
Like it's a lot of people suffering right now from
like different mental disabilities and stuff, you know what I mean,
And it's real, you know what I mean. And a
lot of people be on social media doing just like

(49:30):
dumb stuff and like, you know, they're not thinking about
the repercussions of how other people are as a real
person in life, you know what I mean. So like, yeah,
just you know, I want to leave that with the
folks too, you know what I mean. Like just watch
watch the way you treat people, you know what I mean,
because you never know what somebody going through in life,
and if you do know what they're going through, you know,

(49:50):
treat it with sensitivity, because everybody deserves to be treated equal,
you know what I mean, everybody does, you know what
I mean.

Speaker 2 (49:57):
Man, you definitely use more of that these days. Feels
like it's you know, hostile environments sometimes. Man, So he
may be a wod lord albums, but he's a peace
keeper to say, you go to war for peace, man,
it's usually why it happens.

Speaker 3 (50:09):
You're trying to keep the piece.

Speaker 1 (50:10):
Ye, well, that's one of the benefits of war two.
There's always peace at the end. So like that's why
I said, like once this album dropped the other day,
like my piece is set, is done, Like I'm done, yeah,
you know what I mean. Like I'm already halfway through
my second EP, by the way, you know what I mean,
Like I'm focused on that right now, and shouts out

(50:31):
to my man, get them Risy, y'all gonna be knowing,
y'all gonna be knowing about him soon.

Speaker 2 (50:34):
Man, you might as well go ahead and promote what's
coming up next and where they find Warlord three, Warlord one,
everything else. By the way, Man, I got to give
you mad props. I've looked at a lot of link trees.

Speaker 3 (50:46):
Man.

Speaker 2 (50:46):
Your link tree is like a damn Amazon forest. There's
a lot in there. Man, It's so much salute man,
just branches everywhere.

Speaker 1 (50:54):
Man. Yeah, brother, I mean, like I said, I've been
blessed to run into a lot of great people in
my life, life producers and podcasts, hosts and DJs. I
mean it's been crazy bro artists. So like, yeah, you know,
like I said, I try to structure everything I do
in my life, man, just try to organize it as
best as I can. And I do give my wife

(51:16):
a lot of credit for helping me with that, because, man,
I mean, my life used to be terrible before. I'm man. Man,
stuff used to be all whacked out of place. But
owning the business, being married, being a dead, being a
good friend of those you know who deserve it. Man,
it helps me out a lot, yo, to stay focused
and to make sure that all the business I put

(51:36):
out there in the world look at least proper, you
know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (51:40):
No, Man, women, wives, you know, girlfriends all day they
kind of help kind of narrow that that focus and
get you on the right path. So, Man, Saluta Hers
is obviously a big, big part of what's going on here. Man,
And you know, bro, yeah, man, I mean I know
exactly what you're talking about.

Speaker 5 (51:57):
Man.

Speaker 2 (51:57):
It's like a little one in the wife here. I
don't know what I doing if they weren't around it. Man,
I don't want to think about it, but I feel you.

Speaker 1 (52:04):
Man, you've got a great family. Man. Like I said,
we've been following each other for a long time, and
I'll be seeing you doing good things with your family, bro.
So keep it up. Man, You'll seem like you're a
good dad and a good husband. Bro.

Speaker 2 (52:14):
Yeah, man, I'm trying. You know, she knows about you know,
run DMC and l L and stuff like that. So
she's got piff Penny will be next is coming. You know,
she's five, but she'll get there.

Speaker 1 (52:24):
That's what's up, bro, That's what's up.

Speaker 5 (52:26):
Man.

Speaker 1 (52:27):
I definitely, I definitely can't wait for her to meet
her in person. And I will be heading Chicago probably
within the next year. Man, Okay, you know what I mean. Yeah,
I'm doing a lot of different things now. I got
a lot of new stuff coming up. Like you said,
I'm mention a few things. Me and my homeboy. Get
him Risy from South Carolina, y'all make sure y'all look

(52:48):
him up on social media. You can find him on
Instagram and get him Risy for right now. As far
as like you know, what I mean if you want
to check out what he's doing. But yeah, he definitely
create Mafia is what he raps. That's his label, and man,
he's a dope producer. I think the last project he
put out was by a guy named Reckless down in
South Carolina. He from p A and it was a

(53:11):
dope record. I'm on one of the songs on that record,
so y'all make sure y'all go check out that project.
But yeah, man, we got something coming. Were working on
real special, man, and it's gonna be my first album
that I that I'm ever gonna you know, I have
ever put out, so that that in itself is special.
As far as the title, I can't say right now
because we try and keep keep a few things on

(53:34):
tuck when it when we move on this, you know
what I mean. But just know that right now we're
sitting on a cover. We're sitting on a lot of
different components already, and we got about three four songs
pretty much done, not nothing mixing massive, but yeah, we working.
We're working on that project and I'm gonna have a
few features and I'm actually gonna I'm actually in the

(53:56):
midst of getting this one big feature right now. It's
already pretty much established, but I'm just waiting for your verse,
so y'all be looking out for that. It's probably be
my biggest feature yet.

Speaker 3 (54:06):
Yeah, there we go. See there's a lot coming, man,
We're not even scratching the surface.

Speaker 1 (54:12):
Of I got it. I got two more EPs coming
after that, and they already been started to with two
different producers, and that a lot of people know about.
So yeah, I mean, work is work, man. I mean
I do this really for the love of the craft.
And it's a lot of DJs and producers man, that
want to deal with me and want to work with me,
you know. And it's all just basically an honest, upfront

(54:35):
working with friendship. When I'm dealing with these dudes and ladies, man,
you know, we all keep it honest and upfront with
each other.

Speaker 2 (54:42):
Bro, there you go.

Speaker 1 (54:43):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (54:44):
That's the way to keep it, man. And that's how
it's been working out for you. And obviously things are
progressing with all this new music and world Lord three
already listen.

Speaker 3 (54:51):
Makesure you go check it. It's on all platforms. I know,
it's on band camp.

Speaker 1 (54:55):
People get this on band camp. It's on Spotify right
now and just touch that on Spotify all Heart radio,
so yeah, I mean it coming to all platforms. You
know how you know how to hold distro? Kid be
moving man, they they move slow sometimes, but yeah, it's
gonna be everywhere man. I mean it's overseas real heavy
right now out in Chile. My own boy yeah yeah,

(55:17):
he said a lot of his friends have been bumping it,
like literally, like they'll call him playing the music, so
he knows that they're playing there music. So that to
me is like that was like another one of my
like dreams I wanted to fulfill, man, Like I want
the people to actually be happy about this listening to
this music. You know what I'm saying, that's what and
that's what I hear. I hear I'm hearing great reviews.

(55:38):
I'm not really hearing like no, really negativity. I mean,
of course I got homeboys hit me up, like bro,
what's going on? Everything good? But you're like, yeah, everything
good man. You know, like I want you to enjoy
this music because it's really heartfelt from my heart, you
know what I mean. I'm just kind of like, you know,
you gotta kind of put stuff out out there so
you can just kind of like, all right, look I

(55:59):
felt this way at some point, you know. But but ultimately,
you know what I mean, like he know what it
is and I know what it is, and that's all
it really need to be, be be known, you know
what I mean, You know what I mean, from brother
to brother, real shit, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (56:14):
I think he's just crazy to think a car driving
by is playing music in Chile.

Speaker 1 (56:18):
That's just that's the yo. That's crazy.

Speaker 5 (56:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (56:22):
I told him, I say, you need to get his
friends to govern man and they have a little alexa
and they just you know, I mean, they're just sitting
around chilling and they listen to the music. I said,
that would be a dope little promo there.

Speaker 2 (56:34):
It is, right, and it gets his name out there too,
because you know, I'm sure a lot of heads when
they hear this ep, like, man, I think I work
with this guy. This guy's you know, he's bringing those
beats in a way that I could do something with
him too.

Speaker 3 (56:44):
So I hope that he gets some more exposure to here.

Speaker 1 (56:47):
He does work with artists in Chile, like he has
produced for some artists, you know, and they speak Spanish
over there. But again he speaks pretty decent English, and
I'm pretty sure they understand some of what they're hearing,
you know what I mean, Like because some of it,
some of the stuff that I've heard him produce have
been like different like art hip hop artists out there too.

(57:10):
Some some kind of like you know, like not reggaetne,
not reggaetne kind of like I don't know what they
call it out there, but you know, it's just different,
you know what I mean. And but but the beat
sound nice. The voices over you know, the guys that
he's working with, they sound nice, you know what I mean.
It sounds really nice for what they got going on
out there. But to incorporate this hip hop, he said,
he's always wanted to drop something big with an artist

(57:34):
from the States, and he's worked with other artists here
from the States and some decent great artists I mean,
I've known, but this project has been really special to
him and to me too, you know, just because of
our connection and where we're at. And you know, he
has oh yeah, you the first to know on your show,

(57:55):
And I got some other interviews to do, but I'm
gonna say it on your show first. We got Vinyl coming. Yeah,
we got Vinyl's coming for the Warlord three. I'm gonna
start my pre order soon, and y'all are not gonna
be y'all are not gonna be mad about the way
these look. I'm telling you, man, I can't wait to show.

Speaker 3 (58:13):
Them to y'all, wall with all the other ones you
have too, right, So.

Speaker 1 (58:17):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, and he got one coming to him too.
Like I always expressed to everybody I talk to, you, man,
you know, it's really about relate keeping your relationships tight.
So like all the producers I work with, if I can,
I send like little gift packs to him, just you know,
saying thank you. And that's and Vinyl is a part

(58:37):
of that, you know what I mean. So most of
all my producers get matter what country are you in,
I'm sending one. Right.

Speaker 3 (58:44):
It might take a while, but you'll get it.

Speaker 1 (58:46):
Yeah, he won't get it. Yeah, he got his confirmation
number last week, so he got his coming. Yeah, shouts
out the Radical r K. Y'all go check out r
K pro Studios. Man, this guy is really great producer.
You know what he's doing. He he love hip hop.
I can tell. I can tell when I hear in
his voice when you talk about it. So yeah, he's

(59:08):
very passionate, y'all. Make sure y'all go check out my guy.

Speaker 2 (59:10):
Yeah man, and definitely I started following him on Instagram,
so everybody out there do the same and let people
know how they goind you on Instagram and follow you.

Speaker 1 (59:18):

heart for that, man.

Man, So I appreciate you saying that.

Speaker 2 (01:01:08):
Man, that's the commercials ready, and I could put that
out there for everybody listening to make sure you know
what this show is. Yeah, man, I appreciate you doing
that man and speaking that because obviously, for someone like
yourself to come back, you obviously feel like this is
a place that you could, you know, talk about your
albums and your projects and everything and anything I could
do to, you know, get people more or less. I

(01:01:28):
just do this to let people know what I like,
and if I like it, I feel like maybe someone
else should like it and check it out and give it,
give it a chance.

Speaker 1 (01:01:37):
So man, you got good heart, bro.

Speaker 2 (01:01:39):
Yeah, man, it's all all about man. I grew up
on this stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:01:42):
Man.

Speaker 3 (01:01:43):
At least I could do is tell the people, Hey,
check this dude out.

Speaker 2 (01:01:46):
He's pretty good. Because you know how it is.

Speaker 1 (01:01:47):
Man.

Speaker 3 (01:01:48):
You hear people say hip hop and so good hip hop?

Speaker 1 (01:01:51):
Yes there is.

Speaker 3 (01:01:51):
You just either you need someone to tell you where
to find her. Are you just not looking hard enough?
There's plenty of you.

Speaker 1 (01:01:56):
Just one component to this whole world of hip hop. Bro,
that people need to know about you know what I'm saying,
and you as that one component it really it really helps,
you know, especially with people like me. I love to
promote my music and promote everything I'm doing. So me
promoting this interview, you putting out this interview. It's helping

(01:02:17):
both of us grow and showing positive, positive light as well.
You know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (01:02:22):
It's all about true words or spoken right there by

out the other Warlord projects he's done in the past.
He's got another lucy out there called White Clouds. Make
sure you check that out as well, and just follow

one of those guys that constantly's cooking and putting stuff out.
To make sure you stay in tune with what pif

(01:03:25):
talking about ward Lord three, here's one of my favorite
tracks on the album. It's featuring a frequent guest of
the show, m Doc Diego. We talked about it in
the interview there. M Doc's been on many times and
he's worked with Pif Penny more than once. So here's
a track from war Lord three. This one right here
is called cold Case featuring m Doc Diego from war
Lord three. Piff Penny here on the Infinite Banter podcast.

Speaker 6 (01:03:46):
Man, if you don't practice, then your shit won't be off.
I brought my bonies with me to the range. We
about to line this one up. Warlord three A lot.

Speaker 7 (01:03:56):

ranch daddy puffing.

Speaker 1 (01:07:44):
Time for you to leave Asshold.

Speaker 2 (01:07:46):
That is Kirk casa Vedo. Tell me it's time to go,
and that is exactly what I'm going to do. But
before I get out here, just want to preview the
two hundredth episode. We'll be coming in the next episode here.
So this one is one ninety nine, almost six years
of doing this Thingbruary. So it's been crazy how many
of these I've done. And you know, there's been periods
where maybe there's a little bit of a lag between episodes,

(01:08:07):
and then there's periods where you know, they keep coming
and I can't slow it down. So you know, how
I got to this number is incredible, and you know,
big suits, everybody's been part of it. So the next episode,
number two hundred. I'm leaning towards doing like a best
of episode for that one, but we'll see. There might
be you know, I'm still working on some things. We'll
see what happens. But as of this moment, that's what
it looks like it'll be. Maybe it's a mix of

(01:08:27):
that and maybe one guest again, you know, kind of
trying to figure out how to do it. So it'll
come out in December sometime, be a couple of weeks
after this episode you're hearing now. Of course, it depends
on when you played it. But the two hundred episode,
or the Infinite Banter Podcast is coming soon to wrap
up twenty twenty four, and we'll start fresh next year
two to one in the new year of twenty twenty five.

(01:08:49):
All right, Dad said for me, the Infinite Banter podcast.
You can find it on all platforms, Facebook, Blue Sky,
and it feels good to say that, Threads, Instagram, that's
Infinite Banter podcast, asked. Go to YouTube, type in Infinite
Banter for clips and shows that are featured on there,
Rate and review the show on Good Pods, Podchaser, Apple Podcasts,

(01:09:09):
places like that. If you go on Spotify, there's a
lot of interactive stuff on there. There just poll questions.
There's a playlist which features songs from every artist. When
I say every, I mean everyone since episode one, although
there wasn't any guests back then, but anybody's been on
the show that had an album out. There's a song
of theirs in that playlist, so make sure you check
that out, and of course go to superseven dot com

(01:09:29):
slash Infinite Banter Podcast, get some cool toys and merch.
Don't sleep big up once again to Piff Penny. Check
out his new EP, Warlord three on all platforms. And
so I do another one of these episode two hundreds.

Speaker 3 (01:09:43):
I'm out hey, asshole, get up the road

Speaker 4 (01:10:00):
On the Infinite Banner with my man Mark has been
a pleasure

Stuff You Should Know
Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
