In the aftermath of their harrowing journey to Galgenbeck, our party is forced to confront the chaotic and depraved state of the city. Polta, Nava, and Argrex each face their own emotional and physical battles, revealing deep-seated truths and hidden powers. The sky itself seems to split as the veil of the Dying Land lifts, uncovering the dire consequences of their actions.

As tensions rise and alliances are tested, a new character, Nigel Straw, is introduced, bringing a fresh dynamic to the group. Their journey takes an even darker turn when they encounter Moomoo, a pitiful creature with knowledge of a powerful artifact—the Ankh. The party must now venture into the desert of illusions to confront the Eater of the Dead and seek the next piece in their quest for power and survival.
