One of the emerging fields of science is Psychoneuroimmunology.
This can be broken down into:
Mind + Nervous System + Immunology
(psychology) + (neuroscience) + (immune system)
When we have negative thoughts, our body produces a protein called a cytokine. Cytokines are small proteins that act as messengers, signaling the body—often targeting specific organs. These proteins are responsible for triggering inflammation.
Chronic inflammation can lead to various health issues, including disease, cancer, heart disease, and other illnesses.
Incredibly, this entire process can begin with just a single thought. Negative thinking can put the body into a state of attack, inflaming the very systems that sustain life.
So, how are you thinking throughout your day?
