So sit back, relax, and let'sget started.
Friend, welcome back to theEnerSpark podcast.
Tonight brings a specialedition.
This is a special editionbecause me and my good friend
Heidi Scheer, who is with metonight, We are starting a new
(00:49):
Facebook community and, we wantto tell you all about it.
So, I'm going to welcome myfriend, Heidi Scheer.
welcome, Heidi.
we met, I'm going to tell you alittle bit of how we met real
fast, and then I will let Heiditake it away.
Heidi and I met in 2023.
An amazing course we both tooktogether and we stayed connected
(01:10):
through community through that,we both ended up in L.
A.
in May of 2024 for ourpodcasting summit.
Ever since then, we've been soulsisters, and we, joke about how
we're the Rambling Soul Sistersand how community and everything
like that means so much.
We just value deep connectionsand community, and we have jokes
(01:33):
about bringing this to life.
And we are bringing this tolife, friends.
It is actually going to happen.
We are starting on Monday.
You'll hear this on Saturday andthis coming Monday.
Okay.
Will be our first zoom meetingand we will host them once a
month.
We will also have a Facebookgroup where we will, encourage
you guys to all come and joinand share the love.
(01:56):
So Heidi, welcome.
Let's take it over.
Yeah.
Thank you, Casey.
I'm super excited to be here andtalk to you.
yes, we did meet through, theBreathwork course.
And I remember at the beginningof that course, talking to our
host, Jen and At the time reallywanting to build community in
(02:17):
person in my own town.
And, I remember having thisconversation with her about how
I did not believe that you couldbuild community through online.
and it was only possible inperson.
Boy was I wrong, Because duringthat course, as you know, like
we just, um, and it wasn't justyou and I, like, there's so many
(02:40):
people from that group that, westill stay in touch and I still
love seeing their posts onFacebook or, reaching out
through Messenger or whatever itis.
you absolutely can buildfriendship and build community
online.
And it's so important.
It's so needed and I mean, inevery time that we live, right?
(03:01):
But I feel like, especially intimes like, like, that we're in
right now, where oftentimes we,we feel so disconnected, even
though we can be connectedthrough, you know, the digital
space so easily, I think a lotof people in the world are
feeling very disconnected.
So, I know I felt for a lot ofmy life, very disconnected.
(03:24):
And that was what drew me towanting to build community.
in person and then also wantingit online because my support
system in my own life has notbeen very strong.
And so, yeah, meeting you, andhaving my mindset changed and
really just going through thisprocess of, like, awakening of,
(03:45):
like, oh, my goodness, youabsolutely can build community
online and just, um.
Yeah.
And then to be able to do thisand create this with you.
We have been talking about itfor like eight months or
something.
but yes, we are making it happenand I'm super excited for the
people who have already signedup for the people who are going
to sign up and just what we'regoing to learn and, who we're
(04:09):
going to meet through thiscommunity.
I'm super excited for it.
So, yeah, thank you.
I do want to, back up a littlebit.
So, I do want you guys to knowHeidi.
is big in community anyway, sheis a former teacher and works
for a nonprofit.
So, as you all know, communityhas been a big part of my life
(04:29):
and I run an organization doingparties for the kids in the
hospitals.
So we both have a lot to do withcommunity and I think our lives
have just both changed andrealized that the power of
community.
Of the community and connectionis truly what brings us back to
our heart and I'm just feelingalive and for anyone out there
(04:52):
who doesn't have a community.
We want to welcome you in.
We want you to know that.
There is power in holding spaceand love and connection and, you
know, just growing together andthis is a space where we're not
judging, not judging anyone.
Matter of fact, we don't carehow you show up, you can come in
your PJs.
(05:13):
just come and enjoy.
It's gonna be a fun, safe,loving space.
Heidi, as far as community, howwould you explain it?, Like what
we're trying to build?
Or what, what are, what we want?
Yeah.
So, like I said, I, I reallyhave the desire to build
community because I know whatit's like to not have community.
(05:34):
Right?
And so I know that for my inperson world, it's very, very
important.
What I have found.
In being online and goingthrough online courses is that
it is so important to have theonline communities as well.
We are on our computers all thetime.
And, even though, like, I saidbefore, even though people are
(05:56):
all on the computer, we arefeeling as a society.
So disconnected and I thinkthat.
For us, our intention is tobring people together and say,
Hey, you are worthy of havingother people hold space for you.
We want to bring you along onthis journey of life and just,
(06:17):
do life together because we werenever meant to do this life
alone.
We were born for connection.
everybody is better in doingthings together, right?
We were not meant to be siloedand be at home behind our
screens and and suffer insilence.
So not to say that everybody issuffering, but things are just
(06:37):
better together.
So, um, yeah, I think, you know,If you don't have a community
online or in person, like thisis just a, like Casey said, just
a place where you can come andbe yourself and open up and, and
just learn, really learn aboutyourself, learn about others.
(06:57):
take in the differentperspectives and, just take in
the fun and you don't have tonecessarily participate in the
beginning if you don't want to,if you just want to show up and
just see what we're about and,and say, okay, maybe I'm curious
about what these two girls aredoing.
Cool.
Show up.
And if you don't want to, speakyet, that's okay too.
like Casey said, we, we're notjudging.
(07:19):
We just want to welcome peoplein and, and like I said, do life
together.
So, yeah, I think the power ofall that, I don't think I stated
that, I'm in Kansas and Heidi'sin Texas.
So, um, you know, and the groupsthat were in the groups, the
coaching courses that we werein, we were from all over.
even people from differentcountries.
(07:39):
So really we just value, theconnection and we want to
welcome everybody into that.
Do you have anything else youwant to say about it?
There's what, um, so let'sactually, can we tell them
about, um, we do have somethings planned.
So we'll be active in theFacebook group and then once a
month, the zoom.
And for the first one, we wanteverybody to kind of just
(08:03):
introduce yourself.
if that is intimidating to you.
No pressure, no pressure at allfor anyone to speak as Heidi
said, we're really just here tohave fun and welcome everybody.
We do have some reasonsubmissions to each meeting.
Yes.
Talk about that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So we do want to be intentional, right?
(08:24):
We want to have a little bit ofa structure just because we
don't want to just.
Get on the screen and then stareat each other.
Although, you know, um, it'sgreat to see each other, you
know, all the beautiful faces onthe screen, but we want to add
that intention.
We want to have some kind ofpurpose.
(08:45):
And since, you know, it'sJanuary beginning of the year.
We're not necessarily settingresolutions, but we would love
to support you or hear aboutyour goals that you have.
We're very into personal growthand development and just really,
trying to be better today thanwe were yesterday and really
empowering the people around usin our lives.
(09:07):
And so if there's something thatwe can support you, we would
love to encourage you to dothat.
So I would also love to saythat, um, I did mention that,
you know, you don't have totalk.
This is not a like everybody, you know, unmute and start
talking and share your wholelife with us.
But I would say that this is atleast for me.
(09:29):
I didn't really go over thiswith Casey, but I would say
that, I would love for people toturn on their screens, right?
Like, turn on their, um, theircameras, rather, um, and be part
of what we're doing.
Like I said, you don't have tonecessarily unveil everything
day one, but, um, I would lovefor you to, you to have the
(09:50):
intention to show up and show usyour beautiful face.
you know, let us in just alittle bit by letting us know
where you are in the world.
What do you got going on in yourlife so that we can support you?
And then also join the Facebookgroup so that we can stay
connected throughout the monthin between each meeting.
And so, yeah, that being said.
(10:12):
We would love, like I said, tohear about your goals and what
you have going on.
and then, too, that's anotherway that other people in the
community that show up, they cansupport you.
If Casey and I can't, forwhatever reason, like, that's
not our skill set, or we don'tknow that person, or we you
know, that connection to helpyou, maybe somebody else on the
screen does.
I wouldn't say that ourintention is like networking,
(10:34):
but, if we can be helpful insome way, we absolutely would
want to do that as well.
I think I got off topic, Casey, about that.
No, that's totally fine.
Because honestly, that is whatit's about is, we're both in
different communities.
We did start in one and.
I want to go back to turning onyour screen.
So Heidi and I were in the classtogether.
(10:55):
So we have grown together.
I'm going to tell you the firsttime I was on the call, it took
everything I had to turn on myscreen and stare at these people
like, Oh my goodness, this is sonerve wracking.
That's why we want to make sureeverybody knows it's a safe
space.
And we want it to be fun.
So if you please do turn on yourcamera, if you can, Okay.
And then also if you arecomfortable sharing anything,
(11:18):
you don't have to do a deepdive, but, Heidi and I, we've
cried together, we've laughedtogether.
I mean, we've, we've shared somuch during our growing journey
and we really just want to showpeople that community is, and
connection is so, so important.
And, um, Heidi and I both havepodcasts.
Heidi.
(11:39):
And I both talk about, and hersis PMC Connections and mine is
EnerSpark.
And so out of that, we haveSoulSparks and Connections,
because that's truly what it'sgoing to be all about.
It's just going to be an honorto have everybody there.
We want to invite your friends, tell a friend, if you don't hear
(11:59):
this, before Monday.
It's actually, our first one ison, the 27th, January has
already flown by you guys, soour first meeting is gonna be on
January 27th, I will post thelink in the show notes.
Really, we just want you to comeconnect and, let's go through
2025 and make it the best year.
(12:22):

encourage you to still sign up.

sign up for the emails and getin that Facebook group so you
can know all about it.

(13:07):
there's any kind of curiosity orany kind of tug at your heart,
go ahead and join.
I mean, it's free if you havebeen wanting to just maybe you
have that pull to, like, makenew friends or to be a part of
something.
I would say to just go ahead andsign up.
You can always leave if youdon't like it.
(13:29):
There's no obligation.
Like I said, it's free.
And we just, we just want tospread kindness and, and love,
