(00:24):
So sit back, relax, and let'sget started.
Hey, friend.
Welcome back to the Enter Specpodcast.
I'm your host, Casey Taton.
This is a shower sprinkle onreally just what this podcast
has done for me and how I feelabout it and the value of
(00:48):
connection.
I was recently interviewed by myfunctional medicine doctor on
his podcast, and I left there, and when I left there I felt so
lit up and I was just so excitedand it was just so fun, and I
(01:08):
realized that is something thatI truly value in my life.
And I just felt like I was justlike on this high all day long
after I got to go interview onhis podcast.
And then a week later when I sawhim, he said, I just wanted to
tell you when you were on mypodcast, we were recording.
(01:30):
I have never seen you like justso confident and so.
Like speaking so clearly andjust really like deep
connecting.
And he said, it truly lights youup, doesn't it?
And I was like, wow.
So other people are realizingit.
And for someone he sees me andyou know, quite often, and he's
(01:54):
seen me over the years.
For him to say that I was justlike, I, it took me back and I
sit down and I really thoughtabout what does this podcast
mean for me?
How does he make me feel?
And one of the biggest things isI love deep connection.
I truly value getting to connectwith others, hearing their
(02:15):
story, where they've been, whatthey've been through, and how
they're making an impact on theworld now.
And every interview that I'vedone, and I have several that I
still need to put out, I havejust left that event feeling so
inspired and so lit up, and I'mlike, yes, this is what I am
(02:38):
meant to do.
I truly value deep connection.
I love supporting my friends.
I want everybody to know whatthey're doing, how they can
connect with them, it justlights me up and truly is like
the spark of, you know, I get tobring kids smiles in the
hospital, but also in thecommunity.
Um, just, just connecting thedeep connection with these
(03:01):
people, being so v vulnerableand real and telling raw stories
and.
I've cried with them, I'velaughed with them, and that is
something that I don't take forgranted at all.
They're opening up to me, forsomething for me to share and to
the world.
And so I just wanna send biglove to all of them.
It is something that I don'ttake lightly.
(03:21):
And I'm honored that everysingle one of them come on.
I'm honored for every podcastthat I've been able to go on and
speak and tell my own journeyand just the value of connection
this.
It's just been on my heart andon my mind of just checking in
with my friends, checking inwith my listeners, how are you
feeling?
How are you doing?
You know, do you have a storythat you wanna tell?
(03:44):
Are you afraid to tell it?
Because honestly, um.
When I first started podcasting,I created a logo.
I created things, I did acourse.
Um, and then I didn't doanything with it because I got
in over my head and I was tooscared and I was letting fear
stop me from something that Ididn't know.
I just wasn't trusting theProcess.
(04:05):
And so, um, you know, my mentor,Kathy Heller, I took her course
and.
She was actually getting readyto launch a bootcamp.
I'll tell you about that alittle bit more.
But going through that course, Ihad already had some of my
podcast ideas.
I was just too scared to put'eminto action and I was in her
(04:26):
course.
We got put into pods and in thepod, um.
And you have heard from some ofmy pod sisters, if you've
listened to my episode, Iencourage you to go listen to
it.
My pod sisters and I, werecorded on my friend Kaya's
podcast and then we all sharedit and it was really just
talking about the connection andmidlife and, if you haven't
(04:52):
listened to it, go back to mypodcast and it's called,
sisterhood and Midlife.
And that's truly what we are.
I am so grateful and thankfulfor those ladies.
I've got to know them on acompletely different, different
level, and it's grown outside ofjust podcasting.
Every single one of us are sostill putting a podcast out.
But more importantly, we've,we're growing together in every
(05:13):
area of our life and sharingreal life experiences with each
other and supporting each other.
I needed that to the little pushto go forward.
I am forever just so gratefulfor every single one of them
that I still get to connectweekly with them.
And I'm grateful for mylisteners.
Um, I.
You know, I always say reachout.
(05:34):
If something resonated, leave mea review.
Go rate my podcast.
That way it hits more people.
But when I first startedlaunching this podcast, my goal
was really to tell my journey,my story and connect with
people.
And I was like, if I touch oneperson a day.
Then I'm doing it.
That's what I'm doing it for,right?
Just one person.
(05:54):
And when people reach out to me,it is one of the best feelings
in the world of like, Hey, Iwanna thank you for putting that
out.
I, I took this away from it andit helped me get through this.
Or I could really relate in thisway and.
Getting those, receiving thosecompliments and those things is
(06:16):
like, yeah, that's why I listento others podcasts and I'm glad
that I could share something andsometimes it's just vulnerable
things from my heart of what'shappening, what I'm going
through, It just really expandsmy heart so much to hear from
the listeners and then be ableto say like, Hey, thank you.
I needed to hear that I neededthat reminder.
It's just so powerful and justthe connection that just really
(06:39):
sparks my life and really lightsme up.
And so that was my showersprinkle today of.
You know, I let fear step in myway for a little while, and when
I finally launched, it wasscary.
And I'm gonna be honest, there'ssome episodes that I put out
that I get a little nervousabout, right?
Um, there's some powerful peopleI've interviewed and I'm like a
(07:03):
little nervous, but when you getto talking, we're just two
humans having a humanexperience.
You know, and we're just sharingfrom the bottom of our hearts
and it just, I've never done onewhere I felt ick.
I've always laughed, cried, youknow, just deep connected and
got to hear their story andtheir journey, and that's what
life is about.
(07:24):
So just really connecting withsomething you love, doing
something you love and.
If I were to let fear stop me, Iwouldn't be where I am today.
Sharing these episodes and justbeing able to speak from my
heart, openly, from my heart toyour heart, just sharing
messages and, you know, allowingothers to come on and share
their transformation and theirstory and how they look at the
(07:48):
world now.
Just how we can continue to growtogether and make this world
just such a better place and seelight in the world of where we
hadn't saw it before and justhear other people's journeys and
it, it is just, it just reallylights my soul up.
I really just wanted to check inwith my listeners.
(08:09):
Just say, Hey, I'm here.
I love your feedback.
I'm listening.
I read the reviews and from thebottom of my heart, I thank you.

this idea that they wanna stepinto.
You know, something is tellingthem, go share what you love.
It's a nudge.
