Paul Holmes has been a key influencer in the public relations profession for over 40 years. While many are focused on the changing landscape of communications, Paul says:
"The stuff that stands out to me is where we have made so little progress that I sometimes sort of despair of our profession. There are conversations that we were having about public relations 40 years ago when I started in this business that we're still having today. And they're the obvious questions. They're the conversations around how do we get the 'seat at the table' and how do we measure the real impact of what we do. These are areas that we've been talking about for 40 years and if there has been progress, the progress has been too slow for the human eye to detect."
