On this week's episode of Inside LINK, we're learning about how Campbell County reporter Haley Parnell covered the years-long dispute between River Metals Recycling and the people of Newport.

At its essence, the dispute is centered around sporadic explosions that happen at the metal recycling plant, usually because people have incorrectly disposed of items like propane tanks. Those explosions, which happened at random times during the day and night, would surprise neighbors, and some said they would shake their homes.

Listen to learn more about how the relationships Haley established with the community not only led to a great story, but change at the legislative level.
