(1973) Scottish born brothers Malcolm and Angus Young start AC/DC, based out of Sydney Australia.   Brother George (EasyBeats) helps produce

Dave Evans starts as the lead singer but doesn't last long.  On occasion the band’s manager had to replace Evans when Evans refused to go on stage.

Where did the AC/DC name come from?

(1975) Bon Scott joins the band after being with ‘The Valentines’ and “The Fraternity’, and taking odd jobs, including driving for AC/DC.

(1975) First album “High Voltage” released in Australia (Original Aussie Release)
(1976) Remixed and released internationally to mixed reviews

AC/DC experimented with various costumes and ultimately just Angus maintained the school-boy image.

(1977) “Let There Be Rock”
(1978) “Powerage”
(1979) “Highway to Hell” (Bon Scott’s last album)
Became their first million-unit seller 

February 1980, disaster strikes when Bon Scott dies from alcohol poisoning

(1980) Enter Brian Johnson (YouTube - Brian Johnson tells how he joined the band)

(1980) “Back in Black” ... becomes their biggest album ever,  ranking as the #2 selling studio albums of all time with 50 million copies sold worldwide to date.

Robert ‘Mutt’ Lange joins as producer for “Back in Black”

(1981) “For Those About to Rock We Salute You”

(1983) “Flick of the Switch”

Phil Rudd leaves the band still depressed over Bon Scott’s death

More bad press when 3 people die at Salt Lake City concert

(1994) Phil Rudd comes back

Malcolm Young not on this album and starts to show signs of early-onset dementia and dies from a number of health issues in 2017 

Johnson takes time off due to hearing loss.  Axl Rose  finishes-off remaining live concert dates.
