Polybius - Death by Video Games

The earliest known reference to Polybius comes from coinop.org, a forum for arcade cabinet collectors that was active in the early 2000's. There are anecdotal accounts of the game being discussed on usenet forums in 1994, but those have not been confirmed. All we know is, there are no records of the game existing prior to the year 2000. Although it's possible that this is a sign of a complex government cover-up, most folklorists and game historians take it to mean that the game never existed in the first place.
