Today's special guest is Mandy Refvik.
In today's episode, my special guest Mandy and I share how we connected and how our journeys interconnected. I met Mandy and her then fiancé when they hired me as their wedding planner in 2013. We remained in touch here and there, but it wasn't until a few years ago when we reconnected regarding another "life event". This time it was a journey we were both familiar with, Infertility. We discussed how humor, particularly in the face of adversity like infertility can be a coping mechanism and a source of strength. She wrote a book based on her personal experience with IVF, called "One More Shot". In this book she offers insight into the emotional, physical, and financial toll infertility can take on women, while emphasizing the importance of humor, resilience, and community support throughout the process. Tune into this episode as we touch on a few of these life events and the impact.
