At the age of 26, Chip founded and grew Joie de Vivre into the second largest boutique hotel brand in America.Twenty-four years in, he sold the company. Soon after, he was approached by the founders of Airbnb to help transform the company into the world’s leading hospitality brand. Chip served as Airbnb’s Head of Global Hospitality and Strategy for four years and today acts as the company’s Strategic Advisor for Hospitality and Leadership.
Chip now heads the Modern Elder Academy and has written five books including his latest, Wisdom at Work: The Making of a Modern Elder.
