Estimato describes how the medical community dismissed his complaints of painful erections and how one doctor threatened to commit him to a mental institution.

Later after reading a National Geographic article about a tribe in Africa ritually stretched their skin to extraordinary lengths, he invented manual methods to stretch his penile skin until he no longer suffered painful erections. This led to him sharing his Manual Methods to a new and growing community of foreskin restorers on the world wide web.
