Unknown (00:16):
Music, hello everybody,
and welcome to intentional
spiritual living with Brian.
This is season three. EpisodeThree. Have a lot of fun,
exciting things, in my opinion,to talk about today. And I hope
you feel the same way. We'regonna start off talking about
lunaza, which was on August 1,and how to honor the energies of
lunaza, or the first harvest, with a ritual. And we will
(00:40):
design that together, and thatis something you can take away
from the podcast and gopractice. Then we're introducing
a new section that we're goingto do for the next several
episodes. I might keep itforever. It depends on things
evolve, but a lot of people talkto me about witchcraft today.
What's what's changing inwitchcraft, what's staying the
same, what's outdated, what'srelevant right now. How do we
(01:01):
integrate technology all thesethings? And so I would like to
pick a couple topics, maybethree topics per episode. I tend
to talk pretty fast, and kind ofshed light on that and demystify
anything that you may be hearingabout. So we'll be talking about
witchcraft today. We willcontinue down our path of how to
build your crystal Toolkit, which we're doing 10 episodes in
(01:24):
season three. And all 10episodes, we'll pick a new
crystal. We started with clearquartz, the master crystal. We
moved on to carnelian, and thisweek we're going to do rainbow
Moonstone. And finally, we willdo our weekly Tarot card pull, a
three card pull, and dive deepin what the universe wants us to
know and how to deal with thoseenergies as they come about. So
with no further ado, we got alot to talk about. Let's get
(01:47):
started. You.
Ha lunaza, that time of year. Iactually love the first harvest
(02:13):
written after and to honor thegreat God, Lou, l, U, G, H, but
pronounced blue, the god oflight and skill. And this is a
time, this is a Gaelic or Celticslash Scottish festival. My last
name is Campbell. I have lots ofScottish roots, so it's near and
dear to my heart. I've been toScotland many times, and I just
(02:34):
love the ancient ways thatScots, especially pagan Scots,
celebrate the festivals. Andlunaz de is certainly one of the
best ones. And so first of all, lunaza
is how you say it, Lu, Naza. IfI were to spell it phonetically,
just l, o, u n, a, z, A, but ofcourse, it's spelled l, u g, h
(02:56):
N, A, S, A, G, H so you wouldthink that it would be lunaz de,
but it is Lu Naza, and it'safter the god Lou. And so it's
this time where we're beginningto harvest. The weather's warm
after the cold winter and thespring and the work that's been
put involved, we are able toharvest fruits and grains. And
(03:18):
so the festival is to givethanks for that. And as you will
see, we can actually give thanksand ask for other harvest. And
it doesn't have to be fruits andgrains, it can be anything. So
let's get right to it. Andyou'll want maybe on this one
to listen to this a few times, because there's a little bit of
(03:40):
steps here. It's basic stuff, but there's a lot going on for
this ritual. Let's get right toit, our lunaza ritual. So what
you will need is your altar, ora sacred space, if you don't
have an altar, seasonal fruits, grains, bread and other harvest
items, wherever you live in thisworld, whatever that would be
(04:01):
here, it would be things likecorn and soybeans are grown,
tomatoes, that type of thing, where we're just now harvesting
those some chime candles, preferably in yellow or gold.
Those are the colors for lunazaand the first harvest incense. I
prefer to use frankincenseexclusively. A small cup of
(04:24):
wine, ale or another beverage.
If you're too young for adultbeverages, any sort of apple
juice or grape juice will do thetrick. Some fresh flowers, a
bowl of water, a sprig of wheator a small sheath of grain, if
you don't have access to sprigsof wheat hailing here in Ohio, I
can find any farm to grab themfrom. I grew up on a farm, so I
(04:44):
just have to call my brother, but I understand not everybody
has that a grain of rice woulddo. It's a ritual. It's
symbolic, and a piece of paperand a pencil to write with.
Let's get right to it. So let'sprepare for our ritual that's.
Get in the mindset of theenergies of lunaza. So we're
going to cleanse our ritualspace, and we're going to light
(05:05):
that frankincense incense andwalk around the area.
I like to walk in acounterclockwise rotation and
allow the smoke to purify thearea that you're working in. Why
counterclockwise? For me,because I this craft is nothing
normal about it, and I like tobreak tradition. It's that
(05:27):
simple, and then start beginning to set
up your altar with the seasonalfruits, grains, bread, flours
and candles and bowl of waterand the cup of beverage, whether
it's wine grape juice, applejuice and a sprig of wheat. We
want to arrange those and a sortof Cornucopia beautiful,
beautiful way on your altar.
(05:49):
Once you've got that set up andyou have cleansed your space
with the frankincense incense, you should start feeling the
energies come around. There'ssomething really magical when
you when you cleanse out anarea, and you do it with
intention, and I've talked aboutthis in other podcasts, and I'll
talk about it at the end of thisritual. But give this your all.
Give give it the best chance toto to honor
(06:12):
God Lou, to honor the goodthings that we have received
this harvest. I know that someof us might not always feel like
we're receiving good things, andit feels like a tough time and
stuff, but there is always somegood to be thankful for, and
that's the most important thingto remember with nunaza.
So now that we've got that altarset up, let's, let's open our
circle. Stand by your altarcenter and ground yourself. And
(06:35):
I said, ground yourself. I mean, push them feet into the earth.
Push your feet into that floor.
Be present there. Take some deepbreaths. Light your candles and
say the following,I call upon the energies of
earth, air, fire and water. Iinvite the spirits of this
sacred, sacred space to join mein this celebration of lunaza.
(06:56):
May this circle be a place oflove, light and protection.
Hold the sprig of wheat or grainin your hands
and say the following, great God, Lou, god of light and
skill, I honor you and thank youfor the gifts of the harvest.
May your blessings shine uponthis celebration and upon all
(07:18):
who partake in this sacred time, hail and welcome Lou,
now just breathe in your spaceas we're about to give gratitude
for the harvest. Just take itall in.
Feel the energies surroundingyou.
(07:40):
Pick up the bread that is onyour altar and break it and say
the following, with this bread, I give thanks
for the abundance of the earth.
I honor the hard work anddedication that brings forth
this nourishment.
Blessed be the harvest.
Place a small piece of bread anda few fruits into the bowl of
(08:02):
water as an offering. Take thepaper and pencil and write down
something you are grateful forfrom this past year, and
something that you wish toharvest, a goal, something that
you're falling short on, anintention in the cupping. See in
the coming season, read aloudwhat you've written, and place
the paper under the bowl ofwater,
(08:25):
raise the cup of beverage andsay, I drink in celebration of
the harvest and the bounty ofthe earth. May this season bring
joy, prosperity and growth toall. Take a sip and then share
the beverage with others. Ifyou're celebrating in a group.
Share the bread and fruits, taking a moment to appreciate
the flavors and the abundancethat they represent. Again, you
(08:47):
can do this solo, but if you'redoing it in group, share
again. This is a good time tobreathe in these energies, to
think about what you're thankfulfor, to think about your
shortcomings, to think aboutwhat didn't work out, your way,
to think about what did, andthank the earth for the
bountiful harvest.
We are now ready to close thecircle. Thank God, Lou and the
(09:08):
spirits of the sacred space fortheir presence. Great Lou,
spirits of this place, I thankyou for your presence and your
blessings. Go in peace and poweras I close this circle,
extinguish your candles and say,the circle is broken, but
unbroken, May the love of thegoddess be ever in my heart.
Merry meat, Merry Part and merrymeat again.
(09:31):
And it is done. Friends. Afteryour ritual, take the bowl of
water with the offerings andpour it outside, returning it to
the earth. Keep the paper withyour intention in a special
place. I'd like to keep this onefor the NAZA, because it's a
reflection of what we'rethankful for and what we still
need, and it's a great way torevisit it. By keeping it in a
special place. A great placewould be a drawer in your altar
(09:54):
or near your altar, and that is it, friends.
We.
Do a section coming up on theWheel of the Year and how lunaza
fits in there. But this is agreat, great Sabbath to
celebrate, and I hope that thisritual performs well for you.
(10:22):
All right, this section is allabout contemporary witchcraft,
the modern witch, how things areevolving, and how nothing is the
same. And this is really fun forme. I thought of it a couple
weeks ago when I was mapping outthis season, and I thought, you
know, it was really time to dosomething contemporary, because
(10:42):
as much as the witches of theworld like to honor the old
ways, and I love that stuff, youknow, I love to wear a t shirt
that has a pentagram on it thatsays, give me that old time
religion and that type of stuff.
But we are moving forward in theworld, and we can't always do
things that the way that theywere done hundreds, if not 1000s
of years ago. And so the worldis not the same as it was in the
(11:04):
year 2000 in the year 1982 etc.
And we the craft is not going tosit there and remain the same as
much as we would like it to. Andso I just want to pick out in
this contemporary witchcraftsection of these podcasts. I'll
put it in several episodes, justthings to contemplate and think
on, if you will. It helps us allto modernize our craft. And so
(11:29):
I've picked three topics to talkabout quickly and briefly in
this episode, just for yourcontemplation and maybe
understanding them a little moreand helping you to modernize.
And so the first one is eclecticwitchcraft, which is certainly
not new, but it's a trendingtopic right now. Techno
witchcraft, and I'm not talkingof the music variety. I'm
(11:50):
talking of the technical, technology that's another
trending topic, andenvironmental or green
witchcraft is another trendingtopic. And those are the three
that we're going to talk aboutbriefly today. So let's dive
right in with eclecticwitchcraft. This one speaks near
and dear to my heart. I havealways, always been an eclectic
witch. And what I mean by thatis that I borrow from everything
(12:12):
and anything. Born and raised inthe Catholic Church, went to a
Catholic grade school, went to aCatholic high school, had
parents that would never let usmiss a service. And so that's
where my love of the smells andbells, if you will. You know the
incense, the sounds, thedeities. You know deities and
saints, very much the samething. And I love all that
(12:33):
stuff. And so that was myfoundation. Then I started
studying things like wicked andDruidry and voodoo and hoodoo
and Buddhism and all that stuff.
And I borrow from all of them tobuild this lifestyle that is
tailor fit for me, and that'sreally the heart and soul of
eclectic witchcraft. It's ahighly individualized and
(12:53):
flexible approach to the craft, and it allows you as the
practitioner, to draw fromvarious traditions, cultures and
spiritual pasts, to create yourown unique practice and belief.
It's the inclusivity andadaptability that make it quite
popular for the modern witchsuch as yourself and me,
(13:14):
eclectic witches mightincorporate elements from Wicca.
For instance, I certainly havestudied Wicca extensively. I
don't practice Wicca. I don'tcall myself a Wiccan, but I know
all about it, and I've read allabout it, and I revisit text on
it. Actually, DJ Conway has agreat book called Wicca, the
complete craft, and I love toread that book. I've probably
read it three times, and I getsomething new out of it every
(13:36):
time.
What I love about Wicca is thekarmic nature of it. You know,
harm no one, and it'll come backto you. Now, there are other
people that would argue me tothe ground and say that's the
most ridiculous thing, andpeople you know deserve to be
hexed and smacked down. I'm notcoming against you for believing
that, but I think that is abunch of hogwash. I don't think
that me, Brian, I have theability to discipline anyone for
(14:00):
choices they've made, even ifit's against me. I just That's
not how I think. And so I I kindof love that stuff, that wicked
belief, but I don't like theorganized religion aspect of it.
You know, that's what I got awayfrom Catholicism for I don't
want to be told that I have tobe in this place at this time
and I have to do this duringthis time. And stuff I do like a
framework. Of course, we all do.
We all like organization, but Idon't want organized religion in
(14:23):
my life. It doesn't work for me.
I borrow from voodoo. I love theaspect of a voodoo doll, and
it's not to harm people. It'sthe poppet aspect. I like to
infuse a poppet. And we actuallydo puppet classes at Raven's
cauldron for my own good andstuff, that thing full of rare
herbs and crystals, and make itwork for me. So that's a little
(14:45):
borrowing from that. Anytime I'min the state of Louisiana, I
bring back droves of Spanishmoss, and I work with it in my
craft. That's what I like to do.
This is eclectic witchcraft.
Again, I do 1000s and 1000s.
Of rituals, and I do them my ownway. I don't read a book and and
feel like I have to follow stepsone through 10. And I certainly
(15:07):
hope you don't either, but ifyou do, you will evolve. I know
this. I used to be that personthat read those books. I used to
want to gather all the books, and if it said I had to have a
tonka bean, for instance, thissticks out of my memory. Tonka
beans smell like vanilla, andthey're very poisonous. They can
kill you in quantity. And thereyou can get them. You can find
(15:28):
them online and stuff. And thatused to be in the days of Scott
Cunningham and the olderauthors, they would always
recommend tonka beans. And if Icouldn't find one at the time.
You know, I'm going back again.
I'm 52 years old, so you know,if I couldn't get it, Amazon
didn't exist, then I wouldn't Ifelt like I was not doing the
ritual correctly. And that isjust nonsense. So always
(15:50):
remember these things. Rememberthat you can adapt and do it
your own way. The emphasis is onyour personal intuition and
creativity, and it allows foryou to have a more personalized
and meaningful spiritualpractice. And if you can obtain
that meaningful spiritualpractice, you'll stick with it
for a lifetime, and that'swhat's wonderful about it. So
it's wonderful to be an eclecticwitch, and this is trending
(16:12):
right now, and I couldn't behappier. All right, let's talk
about the techno witchcraft.
What is this? What does it mean?
It has to do with technology, and as technology has become an
integral part of daily life, usmodern witches need to
incorporate it into ourpractices. And when I say need
to, I mean, it's not arequirement, but it's in our
(16:32):
face all the time. We can usedigital tools and platforms to
enhance our magical workings.
Things like Facebook, you cancreate a coven in less than two
days, probably, and get a bunchof followers and groups to do
what you want to do. Back in theold days, you didn't have that
digital tool and you weren'table to do that. And so it's we
need to honor it, as much as Isometimes get really bogged down
(16:56):
and despise social media, if youstop and think about the good
that it does, and not just thebad, I think you'll see where
its value lies, if you will.
We can use smartphone apps formoon phases in astrology. We can
use digital altars. We can doonline covens, like we talked
(17:19):
about in communities. I mean, there are Facebook groups. I'm a
member of eclectic witches, andit's probably got 50 or 60,000
members at this point. I don'tuse it for much, but it's nice
to always hear what people aresaying in the modern world. And
I wouldn't have been able to dothat before. I would have just
had to assume. And so one thingI just said that stuck out to me
(17:40):
when I was researching this wasdigital altars. This was
something I didn't know about.
And it's really nothing big.
It's it's a combination of foryoung folks that maybe don't
have the financial capital toset up an elaborate altar if you
wanted an elaborate altar, orthey have to hide from their
parents and stuff. And so it'susually like Pinterest accounts,
Tumblr accounts dedicated todeities or spells, and it's a
(18:02):
repository. That's what adigital altar really is. And
then, you know, of course, social media, like we talked
about, it's created a platformfor sharing our knowledge and
connecting with otherpractitioners. For instance,
what I'm doing right now, I'msharing pieces of myself on all
these podcasts. I wasn't able todo that 20 years ago. And so we
must acknowledge this stuff. Wemust embrace it, because we have
(18:22):
each other, and that's what'sthe most important. Just
rememberthat technology, witchcraft,
reflects the evolving nature ofthis craft and its ability
ability to adapt to contemporarylifestyles. And that's really
what it is. It's just a way tomodernize what we do and what we
believe, all right? And thenfinally, and this is the most
(18:42):
basic one, even though this is atrending contemporary witchcraft
topic, I don't know why it is,because it's been around
forever, but I think it has todo with global warming and the
concern for the environment, andthat is environmental or green
witchcraft, and it's everythingto do with the growing awareness
of the environmental issues thatwe're facing globally, on the
planet, and it's gaining hugeprominence.
(19:05):
Green witchcraft, its focusessimply on living in harmony with
nature and incorporating ecofriendly practice into the
craft. That's the importantthing, because witches have
always been in harmony withnature. That's how you basically
know you're a witch. But youknow, less plastic, more
natural, if you will. This is sobasic, but it's true, and it
(19:27):
also has to do with the cookingaspect of the kitchen, which,
even you know, less waste there, growing your own food, the
alchemical nature of cooking initself, taking raw ingredients
and making something beautifulout of it, so that you can
perform a ritual, participatingin herbalism, foraging outside
(19:49):
in the woods, that type ofthing. This is all the green
witchcraft movement, and it isvery, very lovely movement. I
think about myself sometimes doI consider myself a green witch?
Not out foraging in the woods, and I'm not the kind of witch
that wants to discuss it Indianstyle in the woods. I can
understand wanting to do thatand hear the nature sounds and
the birds and stuff, but that'snot it's not just exactly the
(20:10):
fabric of my being. But what isthe fabric of my being is that
I'm a definite Kitchen Witch.
I love to do take weirdingredients and cook difficult
cuisines and study like rightnow I'm on an Indonesian kick.
I'm studying Indonesian curriesand Indonesian cuisines and the
spice paste that make it up, andgetting things that are hard to
(20:32):
obtain, like candle nuts thatare poisonous and you have to
heat them. But that's the basisof a white spice paste in
Indonesia, for instance. Andit's fascinating stuff. That's
the kitchen witchery that Ilove, and so it's a form of
green witchcraft. And on thatnote, I want to talk about
what's coming to Raven's coldand real soon is that we're
going to have an entire sectionon kitchen witchery, and we've
(20:54):
partnered with a publishercalled Fade on P, H, A, i, d, O
N, and they have the mostexquisite, exquisite cookbooks,
anything from the most space, they have a cookbook called
toast, and it's all aboutdifferent toast, all the way up
to the most in depth, Asiancookbooks or Indonesian, like I
was just talking about Irish, and it goes on and on, and we're
(21:16):
going to do demonstrations inthe store and hit out samples
and stuff. Another one I've beenstudying right now is the
cuisine of Finland, and it'sbeen fascinating, so look
forward to that in store, andwe'll talk about it on the
podcast. But those are ourcontemporary witchcraft topics,
what they mean and how we canapply them. So again, we went
over eclectic witchcraft, andthat's just simply borrowing
(21:36):
from anything and everything tomake ourselves whole in our own
spiritual path. Nobody has toapprove it. Nobody has to like
it. It's who we do, and that'swhat we love. Techno witchcraft,
the use of technology and all ofthe digital platforms that are
technology to grow our craft, togrow our community and to get
involved, and then environmentaland green witchcraft, and that's
(21:57):
just simply getting back tobasics, getting back to Earth
and saving our planet. So lookforward to more of these topics
coming up. I just do some socialmedia trends and look at some
Google Trends to see what'strending in witchcraft, and I
will report on them. So that isall I want to say about that.
(22:17):
This week coming up, we're goingto talk about part three of
building your crystal toolkit, and we're talking about rainbow
Moonstone.
All right, friends, let's beginpart three of our building your
(22:41):
crystal toolkit series thisentire season, and we have
talked about the master crystalof clear quartz, and we have
talked about Carnelian. Todaywe're going to talk about
rainbow Moonstone. What is it?
And how would we use it?
I've talked about this. But ifyou're just picking up an
(23:01):
episode here, and you're notlistening in sequence, I'll just
quickly say that to get to knowyour your crystals takes a lot
of work, good work, though, andwhat I want you to do first and
foremost, before we starttalking about the metaphysical
properties of rainbow Moonstone,is if you you you have procured
a piece, whether it's a roughpiece, whether it's a palm
(23:23):
stone, whether it's the smallestof tumbles, whether it's a
massive piece, it doesn'tmatter. Get to know it. Sit near
it, hold it. Put it on yournightstand. Meditate with it.
Take it to work with you. Put itin your car. Close your eyes at
night when you're holding it,and see how you feel. Figure it
out. Get to know it. Does itwork for you and does it not?
I've talked about this in thepast. Amethyst is not a favorite
(23:45):
of mine. It's not a stone I everwork with. I appreciate it for
its physical beauty. I love thesemi transparent nature, the
beautiful purple hues of it. Iespecially love it in geodes.
But working with it, it's just acrystal to me, and that's okay.
So all this stuff is subjectiveto you. So rainbow Moonstone one
(24:06):
of the most popular, popularcrystals that we sell at Raven's
cauldron. People just adore it.
They adore it for its flash. AndI want to talk about that before
we start talking about how touse it. It's flash. And when I
say flash, Rainbow Moonstone, for those that don't know that
are listening, is a white ishstone that has black fleck all
throughout it. And if you holdit in the right light,
(24:29):
especially out in the sun orunder fluorescent lighting, and
you move it just in the littlestof ways, it'll have what looks
like blue lightning flashes allthrough it, not unlike our good
friend, Labradorite, which wewill be talking about next week.
What is Moonstone? Moonstone isa type of Labradorite. It's that
(24:51):
simple. It's a It's kind of likewhite Labradorite, if you will.
But it's it's got the samechemical compositions, same
hardnesses.
Is and everything asLabradorite Moonstone does, but
it's not the exact same stone.
It has a little bit of adifferent mineral composition.
But think of Moonstone asLabradorite, and that's why it
(25:14):
has that flash. So let's talkabout metaphysically, what would
I use it for now. Again, I mustalways say that this is
subjective. I use rainbowMoonstone to enhance my psychic
abilities, and that's a talltale for me to say. Because I
I'm not a psychic. I can't tellyou that your dead great aunt
(25:36):
wants you to go to McDonald'stoday get a large french fry. I
don't have that ability, but I have intuition, and I use
it. I'm a almost 40 year tarotcard reader, and that requires
no psychic ability, but itrequires that ability to pull
information out of the air withthe person in front of you and
(25:56):
to understandtheir question and why they're
questioning it, and relate whatseems to be basic cards back to
their situation. So it really, really, really does make
for a powerful, powerful amuletfor me, Rainbow Moonstone, and
so I use it for enhancing myintuition and my psychic
(26:20):
abilities. It is known for that, but it is also known for
protection and grounding and allkinds of other things. And
that's the thing about gettingto know your crystals. If you
were just to go to a crystalstore, get online, you will, you
could basically weave the sametheme through every stone. I
assign a lot of my own personalmeanings to them, and so that's
(26:40):
why you don't have a lot ofcourses for building your
crystal toolkit, because it'sdifferent for everyone. So this
is just me telling you how touse it again. It is associated
with enhancing intuition, tarotreading, psychic perception and
spiritual insight. I 86 thepsychic protection. Because I'm
not a psychic. I don't have thatgift. But rainbow Moonstone is
(27:01):
known to open your third eye andyour crown chakra, and that
facilitates a much strongerconnection to the spiritual
realm, and that's where I useit. Those that come to see me
for tarot readings, you may ormay not know, but there's always
a piece of rainbow Moonstonenearby, maybe in my pocket and
maybe sitting on the table. Imay be holding it while you're
talking to me, but it's alwaysnearby. So that's one way that I
(27:25):
use it. Why do I use it? Becauseit helps me, in combination with
a piece of red calcite that I'vehad for 30 years to give you the
best reading, to tap into yourquestion, to bring the universe
into the room that we'rereading, so I can deliver a
message to you and move on. Sothat's how I personally use
rainbow Moonstone. You can dosome chakra work with it as
(27:45):
well, by sitting it on my thirdeye or my crown chakra, and
doing a meditation. And it's notso much as a meditation, as much
as a visualization. If I'mlooking for an answer and I'm
not getting the vision that Ineed, I grab rainbow Moonstone
instantly, and I may lay on myback and I may put it right on
my third eye so I can get theanswer. It is known to open the
third eye and your crown Chakahelping you see things for what
(28:09):
they are. You can also use itfor divination. A lot of people
will use rainbow Moonstone as afocus object when they're doing
a Tarot reading to kind of getthe answer. I don't use it that
way,because I just don't I use it
more for tapping into myabilities. To give you the best
message I know. Said that twice, but that's really important,
(28:30):
because I want if it'sresonating with you, and you're
an aspiring rune reader, tarotreader, something I really would
ask you to try this because it'sa very, very powerful stone. I
keep it right up there in thetop three of my stones. Cardigan
is also a favorite of mine. Andif you really want to go
backwards, in our podcast thisseason, we talked about the
(28:51):
master crystal clear quartz. Puta clear quartz palm stone with a
rainbow Moonstone, palm stone onyour third eye. Shut your eyes
and visualize what you'rewanting to know, should you take
the job? Should you sell yourhouse? Should you buy? I don't
know. It doesn't matter. You'llsee the answer. That's how
powerful it is. And when youmagnetize it with the clear
quart, you cannot go wrong.
(29:15):
Finally, you can use it fordream work. I'm not a dream work
person. I have troubleremembering my dreams, and it's
just not something that I liveby. But I know many witches that
do. And so you can keep arainbow Moonstone. I would
recommend a tumble or a smallpiece under your pillow. Is the
best place to put it, or in yourpillow, and it will stimulate
vivid and meaningful, meaningfuldreams that you can then recount
(29:37):
and go back through and recallthe next day. And that's the
important thing there. Sofriends, getting to know your
crystal toolkit, RainbowMoonstone, powerhouse crystal
using for enhancing tuition andpsychic abilities is what we're
talking about here. Give it atry every every crystal toolkit
should not be without it, allright, friends and coming up, we
are going to do our tarotreading for.
(30:00):
This episode to find out whatthe universe wants us to know.
All right, we have reached thefinal section of Episode Three,
and that is our tarot readingfor the week. I'm pulling the
(30:22):
cards right now.
I've pulled the eight of swords, the queen of cups
and the star reversed, wow.
Kind of a tough reading, but wemust remember that not
everything is peaches and creamin the world, and Tarot is
certainly no,no difference. So let's get
(30:46):
right on it. So reading thisspread, this is a basic three
card spread, and basically theway I do a three card spread is
the card in the middle isdictating everything and helping
us and things, the gotchas, whatwe need to be aware of, and how
to get past it, or on the leftand right. And so coming up on
(31:06):
the left is the eight of swordsfor the for those that don't
know Tarot. So I show a figurethat is bound in a ribbon and
blindfolded with eight swords, five to the left of them, and
three to the right, they're standing on
(31:26):
the earth that has got waterrunning through it, and their
feet is sitting in the water, and there are mountains behind
them. What does it mean? Oh,and they're Cloaked In Red,
which is power and passion. Itmeans that this person is
trapped in their own head, andthey're dealing with anxiety,
and they're wanting to run tothe hills because they feel
trapped. They've gotten into aproject. They've gotten into a
(31:47):
situation in their life where itwas good, and now it's
overwhelming, and they don'tknow what to do, so they just go
internally. That's where they'reblindfolded. They could
certainly take the ribbon that'sbinding them right off of them.
They're not like in a straightjacket or anything, and free
themselves, but it's their ownthoughts that are keeping them
imprisoned. They're standing onthat water that means that
(32:07):
emotions are flowing and theworld is going on, and the
mountain in the background tellsus that the challenges are
behind them, but they're notseeing it. Now we're going to
skip to the third card, becausewe're anchoring in the third
card, which is the queen ofcups. And so the third card is
the star, and that is myfavorite of all tarot cards. But
unfortunately, this time, she isreversed. I don't want to get
into a deep dive on the star.
(32:32):
We've done that before, and Iwill do it again. But basically,
this person has lost hope. Thisperson has went through a
situation that was reallydifficult, ie, the tower that
precedes the star in the fool'sjourney in a tarot deck. And now
they are reversed, and they havelost all hope. They have given
up on the situation, and they'rejust, you know, it's a crisis of
(32:54):
faith, and not of the religiouskind. You know, you've always
believed that I'm just going tomake up a situation here, and
you've been saving and savingand saving because you want to
get a new Mercedes, okay? Andyou've taken on odd jobs, and
you've done all these things, and you've lost hope, because
the price of those cars keepsgoing up, and you have
unexpected bills, and so farright now, you've just given up
(33:18):
all hope. It's never going tohappen for you, and you just
feel entrapped, and now you haveto keep earning money, and you
can't get what you want. Thatdescribes the eight of swords
and the star being reversed. Butwhat does this queen of cups in
the middle have to do with it isa reminder from the universe
that you have eloquent emotions, that you know exactly how to
(33:38):
handle them, and you know how toget past anything your foot is
grounded to Earth. If you wereto study that card, and we could
go into all the symbolism onthat card, but we're not going
to this is not a Tarot training, but this is more of what the
universe wants us to know. Youare a badass, and you don't need
to throw a temper tantum. Youdon't need to have all this
(34:00):
anxiety, the water of the cupscard, the queen of cups. She has
got a cover on her cup. It's theonly cup card that is covered,
and it's because she's eloquentin speaking her mind and taking
action to make things right.
Don't let the swords, which isan air represented suit of
tarot, it's the toughest suit.
(34:20):
It has to do with your intellectand what you think. Don't let
that dictate you, because italready has dictated you enough
to the fact that we have areverse star and you've lost
hope. And so it's a reminder topull yourself up by your waist
and get back on it. You've gotthis so tough reading, but
hopeful reading, hopeful readingfrom the queen of cups. You've
(34:42):
lost hope from the star. And ifwe were to do this in our own
life, and we pulled that, if Ipulled this reading for me, and
I analyzed it and I was able todo it, I would set it aside, and
I would get myself together, andthen I would pull cards again to
see what I get. But it's justnot to lose hope. You've got
concrete.
Emotions flowing. You've got asupport system. It's just a
(35:03):
tough time, and that's what theuniverse wants us to know for
the week ahead. So happy end offirst week of August, friends.
It's been great talking to you.
I hope that this episode waschock full of information that
you gained knowledge from. It'sbeen really interesting to me,
and I'm going to me, and I'mgoing to continue that
contemporary witchcraftdiscussions on trending topics,
(35:23):
because I think that we do needto continually modernize and
evolve, and what a great way todo it, to see what's trending in
the world and how we can applyit to the craft. So until next
time, I'll be thinking aboutyou, and I'll talk to you next
week. Have A great Week,Friends. You
