Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey everybody.
It's with a heavy heart thatJacob and I are sharing with you
that on September 23rd ourbeloved Gloria Ginsburg passed
away.
She was kind enough to be ourvery first podcast guest on
(00:23):
August 8th, so just about youknow, five or six weeks before
she passed, and it was about herown process of being diagnosed
with stage four pancreaticcancer and the incredible piece
that she had about knowing thatshe was going to die and she was
(00:49):
.
I brought up the idea to hergranddaughter, who happens to be
my friend, and I still can'tbelieve.
I'm still so grateful, jacob, like she came on our show and
talked to us about herexperience.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
She had such, you
know.
I think, I said this maybe onthe recording and I definitely
think I said it to her, you know.
When she knew she was gettingcloser to moving on, she invited
us on to Zoom call with herfriends and family.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
Yes, I think it was
her idea.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
It was her idea that
she wanted to see her friends
and family on this big Zoom calland I just I'm so grateful that
she called us on and tocelebrate her life.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
It was like this
incredible.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
I just totally feel
like I absolutely fell in love
with her on the recording and Ito I don't know how to say this,
but I think a lot of peoplelike automatically step away
from people who are on theirtransition out of this realm of
existence because I thinkthere's a fear and that we
reflect on our own.
But her embracing this part ofher life, this transition, it
(02:04):
made me feel close to her and itreally made me feel a lot of
love towards her and gratitudeand I am just so grateful to
have met her and I know me too.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
This is such a weird
thing, but there's like a it's
like she's always going to be anintimate part of our podcast,
because Our own, even justbigger than that, because I
think our podcast is such a bigpart of like our own, like my
spiritual path and I think foryou too, and she is like a part
(02:39):
of she's just now woven into thepath that tap.
I look at it as like a tapestryand just like man.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
She like passed a
torch to us.
I don't know, I don't know, butlike there's no words that are
going to really capture eitherour gratitude or appreciation,
but we just wanted to Even thelove.
Yeah, we just wanted to leteveryone know and you know she
really was surrounded by herfriends and family, and I know
me personally like, please God,at the age of 120, as we say
(03:13):
after her full life that I'llalso be able to be surrounded by
so many people who love me andfeel like I'm peaking in my life
as I get older.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
And who, like you
know, and just transition kind
of peaceful, just peacefully,Yep.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
So, as we, as we
talked about in the episode you
know, the Jewish people say mayyour memory be a blessing, may
their memory be a blessing.
You not so often get to say toan individual to their face, but
her memory is certainly ablessing to me and I'm sure so
many of our listeners.
