Intuitive empaths are old souls, with open and compassionate hearts, who can literally feel the pain of others as their own. Empaths are beautiful and loving souls who are here to be of service during this intense period of growth and change. But to serve, empaths must learn how to harness their beautiful gifts and to honor themselves and their paths, by setting clear and loving boundaries with others. In this episode we learn: What makes someone an empath and how are we being called to serve at this time of human development.  Tools and strategies for staying safe, calm, and centered when the world seems to be going insane setting boundaries with others, and why there is absolutely no value in taking on other people's pain. How to set clear and appropriate boundaries with EVERYONE in our lives, as well as with the energy of the world in general.  Three questions to ask yourself when you experience others in need and are wondering how to intervene. Why the best way to heal the world is to take care of ourselves! Resources:  Two of my favorite books on intuitive empaths, are The Empath’s Survival Guide and Thriving as an Empath by Judith Orloff. Another great way to develop your empathic gifts is to develop your intuition.  Check out my self-paced, online course, Activating Your Intuition, at https://victoriashawintuitive.com/product-category/courses/Want to learn more about my work, or suggest a topic for a future episode?  Go to https://victoriashawintuitive.com/ Learn more about your ad choices. Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
