Speaker 1 (00:00):
Today we're talking about controlling the
controllables.
I'm going to give you a simpletool to get into your flow,
state and abundance, and you'renot going to believe how simple
it is because when you do this, literally miracles can open up
and occur for you.
And we're also going to talkabout heart healing and a very
special event coming up on July20th.
So let's get started.

(00:21):
Welcome back to the IntuitiveMent mentor mom podcast, where
we explore strategies forpracticing more self-love,
gratitude and finding new waysto empower ourselves in this
ever-changing healing adventureof life happening for us.
I'm your host, tara Michelle.
Let's get started.
Welcome back to the intuitivementor mom podcast, the podcast

(00:45):
where we talk about how life ishappening for us not to us and
who are we going to be in thematter, sprinkled with some
intuitive insight and more so.
In the last episode, episode 30, I brought up the concept of
controlling the controllables, and the context in which I was
speaking about this was from thecontext of lack, the context of

(01:07):
survival.
That episode was about grassbeing greener.
You know, the grass is alwaysgreener.
Well, it's only green becausesomebody's over there watering
it, and if you're not wateringyours, it's not going to be
green.
So I was talking aboutcontrolling the controllables.
Today, I want to share with youa powerful tool that I actually
forgot that I used to use allthe time, and it's a really

(01:33):
simple tool.
I mean, when I say simple, it'sso simple, and it's so simple
that when you do it and you getinto the flow of it, you will
literally see things around yourlife shift.
Okay, before I do that, though,I do want to share with you
about an online event, and I'mexcited because I'm going to be

(01:56):
hosting an online event throughEventbrite.
I'm really excited.
This is a 90 minute workshop.
It's a group session.
I'm really excited.
This is a 90 minute workshop,it's a group session, it's
limited to 20 people, and it's aheart healing and rewiring
session, and I'm really excitedabout this.
So, you know, in episode 22 iswhere I was sharing about the

(02:19):
downloads that I had gotten overthe holiday, and you know, the
brain reflecting the worldoutside, but the heart being the
seed and the root of the brain,so the world outside of you
let's go back to this is purelya reflection of your mind.
Okay, the heart is the root andthe seed of your mind.

(02:47):
Okay, are you getting all that?
And I ask if you're getting allthat?
Because it's this thing that Isee.
I see it all the time.
Now it resonates for me and itmakes so much sense because your
world outside of you, you, yourworld is a reflection of the

(03:08):
thoughts in your mind.
Okay, so imagine your mind isthis lush garden.
It is teeming with vibrant lifeand potential.
Your mind is okay.
And what if you could cultivateit to reflect the deep desires
of your heart?
So as we explore thistransformative analogy that came

(03:31):
through over the holidays formyself it was like this complete
download from December toFebruary.
It was really kind of cool.
But as we explore thistransformative analogy, we'll
uncover neglected areas of ourmental landscape, excuse me, and
how a lot of that can wither.

(03:52):
It can wither like untendedplants, and in this session, I'm
going to help you discoversimple daily practices that
nurture a mind brimming withfreedom, fun and bliss.
Who doesn't want that, right?
Who doesn't want that?
So if we want to heal our mind,we must start by healing our

(04:14):
hearts.
I talk a lot about that andI've talked a lot about it in
the last several episodes, like, really, your heart is the root
and the seed, it is everything, because the heart has memory, it
has thought, it has all thosethings, and so our hearts are
the hard drives of our soul andour mind.
I should say not even of thesoul, just more of the physical

(04:37):
beingness here.
Our hearts hold memory, theyhold emotions, they hold
thoughts and trauma and, believeit or not, studies have shown
that the heart communicates moreto the brain than the brain
does to the heart.
So the heart is driving rightIn this online event and it's

(05:00):
going to be transformative.
But it's a heart healingsession and I utilize the power
of the body regeneration method, along with my ability to be
able to read and manipulateenergy, and we'll also be tuning
into guided downloads that arespecific and designed and
tailored for the group of usthat will be on that call.

(05:21):
That day We'll remove blocks.
We're going to unearth andcollapse out traum day.
We'll remove blocks.
We're going to unearth andcollapse out traumas.
We'll remove old patterns.
We're also going to focus onremoving out old familial
blueprints, as well as past lifetrauma and all of this of which
no longer serves you.
We're going to remove that outin that 90 minutes and we're

(05:43):
going to basically create thisclean slate right.
So, in that collectiveexperience.
What we will be doing is we'llopen up with a guided meditation
and so we'll do some workthrough that, where I will
actually take us all on abeautiful heart adventure and
journey, and we'll also haveopportunities to ask questions

(06:03):
for people to share.
We'll also close out thesession with a card reading and
I'll align everybody and rewirethe entire group so we'll just
kind of clean it up, zip it upand then move us all out back
into our lives.
And so I'm really lookingforward to this time together
because we'll have thisopportunity to heal, to grow, to

(06:25):
rewire our hearts.
And in this session I wanteveryone to know that it is
going to be a safe space foremotional exploration, because
it could be very.
It could be very.
It's a vulnerable space whenyou're working on heart healing
and traumas and things of thatnature, and it really is a

(06:46):
self-discovery.
So I want to support those ofyou who are ready to join me in
this experience.
It's going to be an awesomeopportunity and I don't want you
to miss out.
We are going to nurture andheal our hearts that day,
because you know who doesn'twant to have the life they
desire, right and and it isreally true, like your world

(07:08):
outside of you, the people thatshow up in your life, the jobs
that show up, the therelationships that show up.
They are all happening for youbecause they are a reflection of
where you are and and it'sabout healing and really
creating what's possible for you.
So don't miss the opportunity.

(07:31):
I am going to have all of theinformation in the show notes
below.
It is on July 20th at 4.30Central Standard Time.
That's US time.
And it is Central Standard Time, that's US time.
And there will be a Zoom linkthat will be sent to you and it

(07:57):
is 90 minutes on July 20th at4.30 Central Standard Time.
So please check out the shownotes below.
Join us, come play with us,come play with me and this
opportunity of being in theenergy and the juiciness of all
of it, and we are going to cleanand clear out some stuck energy
in the hearts and reallyreboost us into something new of
what's possible.
So now I want to get back tosharing that amazing tool, the

(08:18):
simplest tool, like it's sosimple.
You're gonna be like that's it,tara, that's all, that's it.
I'm going to say that's it.
That's all that's it.
I'm gonna say that's it?
That's it.
You wanna get into?
Flow, state and abundance?
This is it.
So, controlling yourcontrollables I talked about
that in the last episode, as Imentioned, and that was episode
30.
And it really I put my money,or what is it?

(08:39):
I put my money where my mouthis.
Yeah, I did that this last fewweeks.
I was like, okay, yeah, that'sa good reminder, that's a good
tip and tool.
Tara, you know.
Controlling the controllables.
Thank you, kendi Malat.
It reminded me of something Iused to do that I forgot that I
used to do and I stopped doingat some point I don't know when,
but it went out of integrityfor me.
Okay, everything did so,everything did so.

(09:09):
When we look at controlling thecontrollables, it's about
creating an integrity list.
Okay, and first you're going tosay what an integrity list?
Come on, what are you talkingabout?
An integrity list?
Yes, an integrity list.
And I want to actually read thedefinition of integrity.
Okay, I have it right here.
The definition of integrity, the quality okay, it's a noun,

(09:29):
but the first definition thequality of being honest and
having strong moral principles,moral uprightness.
Okay, definition two.
Two the state of being wholeand undivided.

(09:50):
Now I also want to read theWikipedia of integrity and I
love this.
Whoa, there it is.
Integrity is the quality ofbeing honest and having a
consistent and uncompromisingadherence to strong moral and
ethical principles.
In ethics, integrity isregarded as the honesty and

(10:14):
truthfulness of earnest of one'sactions.
One's actions, okay, one'sactions.
Integrity can stand inopposition to hypocrisy.
It regards internal consistency, consistency as a virtue and
suggests that people who holdapparently conflicting values

(10:35):
should account for theirdiscrepancies or alter those
values.
Okay, so that's the Wikipediaunderstanding of integrity, but
I love this.
The word integrity evolved fromthe Latin adjective integer,
meaning whole or complete.
In this context, integrity isthe inner sense of wholeness,

(10:58):
deriving from qualities such ashonesty and consistency of
character.
So, okay, words that I keephearing for myself I don't know
about y'all, but for myselfconsistency, character, fullness
, those are the words that keepcoming up.

(11:20):
Something I used to do years agothat I learned when I took oh
my gosh, I took an insane amountof programs and courses through
Landmark Education some of thebest work I've ever done and
went through the wholeexperience and journey of
healing or restoring myself invarious ways through their work.

(11:42):
And it was a journey.
That's probably a conversationfor another show, but it was a
journey and it was amazing and Ilearned a lot about myself and
I learned a lot of great thingsabout myself.
I learned a lot of bad thingsabout myself and I learned how
to really repair myself from themind perspective.

(12:02):
Okay, it's very ontological inthat sense, it's very much in
the mind less in the heart butmore in the mind but I think
it's still a very important toolin technology for sure.
So one of the powerful toolsthat they taught me back then
was an integrity list, and anintegrity list was, you know,
because I took their leadershipprogram, because I used to lead

(12:25):
their seminars, theirintroduction seminars, and one
of the things while I was inthat course that I learned is an
integrity list.
Like, where are you out ofintegrity in your life?
What that meant is you know, where have you said you were
going to do things that youdidn't get done?
Like, oh, balance the checkbook.
Can we talk about that again?

(12:46):
Budgeting, like I think Italked about that last episode
Balancing the checkbook andbudgeting, balancing the
checkbook and budgeting.
Okay, but remember back in theday when you actually wrote
checks I still write checks andit's funny because my
ex-boyfriend we haven't beentogether in like four years.
But he laughed at me one time.
He's like you still have checks.
I was like hell, yeah, I stillhave checks.
Like I love my checks.
I'm not getting rid of checksuntil they get rid of checks.

(13:07):
But you know, balancing thatcheckbook, balancing the budget,
who are the phone calls of thepeople in your mind that you
said, oh, I'm going to call thisperson and never got around to
it?
What about that closet thatyou've been meaning to clean?
What about the car that youkeep saying you're going to take
to the car wash and you justhaven't done it yet?
What about that key that yousaid you were going to make for

(13:30):
your friend so that they couldhave a key to the house, that
you still haven't made yet?
Or you haven't gotten around toit or I don't know.
Like what are the things right?
And back when I was doing thiscourse, I really didn't think
about my life in that way at all.
I just thought like that's justlife, like you're just getting
along and you're just doing whatyou do, and oh, there's a bunch
of things that you think aboutthat you want to do that maybe

(13:52):
you don't do because you didn'tget around to it because you
procrastinate or whatever.
And I at that time took it on,and I had to because it was
actually an assignment.
But when I saw how powerful itwas, and one of the examples
they used for me at that timewas you know, think about a
chair.
A chair has four legs.

(14:12):
If a chair was missing a legand you went to sit on the chair
, what would happen?
You would freaking fall right, because there's no integrity in
the chair with three legs.
Now, unless the chair wasdesigned to have three legs and
it's like a tripod, right, butthat's not how most chairs are,
right, most chairs have a squaretop and they have four legs and

(14:35):
then there's a back.
If you had just one leg on anycorner of that chair that was
missing and you went and sat onit, you would tip over in that
direction.
There is zero integrity in thechair.
There is no wholeness orconsistency in the chair or the
weight of the chair, right, it's.

(14:56):
Physics are off.
You're going to fall down withthe weight of the body.
Consider, that's your life.
Where are you out of integrityin your life when you make an
integrity list and you writedown all the things and I'm
telling you I had no idea howbig that list could get.
It went from people I had notcalled back, to, emails I hadn't

(15:21):
responded to, to bills I hadn'tpaid on time, or bills that I
was putting off to even closetscleaning the garage, like all
these things.
Now here's the thing.
When you hear this, you're like, oh my God, tara, like I'm
going to make a list and then godo all these things.

(15:41):
Well, no here, because some ofthose projects could be really
big and some of those projectscould take some time and some of
those projects you may need toprepare for Okay.
So consider this when you haveall these things running in your
mind, all these little tasksand to-dos that you haven't
gotten to, and they're in yourmind, guess what happens?

(16:02):
It becomes clutter in the mind.
Let's go back to the mind.
Is the garden right?
Becomes all these weeds in yourgarden when you pull those
weeds onto paper.
When you pull those weeds ontopaper okay, follow me you pull
those weeds out of the mind and, onto paper, you're now giving
them structure, you're cleaningout the mental clutter and

(16:24):
you're putting these weeds in acompost pile.
Let's just work an analogy here.
You put them in a compost pile.
What does the compost pileeventually do?
It creates, it, creates.
It creates gold, right itcreates, it creates minerals
abundance.
And it creates this beautifulsoil, right?
Okay, oh my God, I can'tbelieve these analogies that I

(16:45):
get Sometimes.
They're wild.
I'm like that's a really goodone.
I can see that.
So.
So you pull these weeds or thesetasks to do's, these thoughts,
all these things that arerunning in the back of your mind
, cluttering it, and you put iton paper, all the things that
you haven't been doing or youhaven't done that you've been
meaning to do, put them on paper.

(17:06):
Now I have one that's calledclean the garage.
Okay, it's a big ass task and Ihaven't gotten to it Doesn't
mean it's the first one on mylist.
Then you prioritize, you take alook at that list and you
prioritize that list and onecould just be like call my mom
back, right, call your mom back,or shoot her a text or
something, mark it off the list.

(17:26):
You begin to mark these thingsoff your list and and if you
don't get to all of them and saya day, or maybe you create a
plan you're like you know what,I'll do two things on my list a
day until my list is complete.
Well, guess what, when yourlist is complete, you just have
more.
You just keep adding to thelist.
It's kind of how it goes.
But just start doing that andyou are going to be blown away

(17:48):
at what happens.
Because when you begin to clearout the mental clutter, it
creates energy and space forcreativity.
When you begin to clear thesethings off of your list, it
begins to create a clearance ofenergy to begin to flow into

(18:09):
your life.
Okay, remember, everything isenergy.
Everything in our world isenergy, everything.
There's not a single thingthat's not energy.
And if you have energeticclutter in your space, whether
it be your mind, your house, your job, your car, it stops the

(18:30):
flow of energy.
So you want to get into the flowstate, you want to get into the
abundance state, you want toget into where miracles begin to
flow into your life witheffortless ease and you begin to
flow into this space.
Create your integrity list andbegin to mark it off.
I promise you you will see ashift.

(18:52):
It is that simple.
It is that simple of a tool andI took it on in the last couple
of weeks and I literally hadincredible creativity come
through, incredible ideaspopping off of things that I'm
now in the space of creating andI don't wanna share them all

(19:17):
just yet.
And then I had an amazingmiracle occur which I have to
not share yet either.
And the reason why I say I'mnot gonna share these things yet
is because they're very much intheir infancy stage and there's
some things that I have to doto really make them come to
fruition, and I just want tocreate and cultivate that space

(19:39):
a little bit more before I openthat up and open that door to
share.
But yeah, and not only did Ihave these beautiful miracles in
my life occur this week and thelast couple weeks is I also had
an insane abundance and flowstate of nature of the flow

(20:12):
state of all the like, thebeautiful things from, you know,
um, from what are they called?
Dung beetles, you know pushingpoop across the road, to
tarantulas, to, um, thesebeautiful flowers like seeding,
and and to a nest.
I look up and there's a nestright above me with a bird
sitting in it, and I mean all ofthese moments, road runners,
all of these moments of bursting, teeming nature, and even

(20:37):
yesterday, oh my God, we had abig deer event.
It was kind of sad.
It started off good but then itended sad, but it was just.
It was nature, right, it wasthis beautiful world around me
that I'm very present to, and Ifeel very lucky and fortunate to
be in a state of this flowwhere I capture these moments of

(21:02):
nature and the world around me,and it's what I keep talking
about, right, and it's what Ikeep talking about right.
Your world is a reflection ofthe thoughts in your mind and
really I encourage you to takeon this task.
Write down your integrity list, begin to mark things off.

(21:23):
It doesn't mean you have tofinish it all this week.
It could take months to finishsome of those things.
Mean you have to finish it allthis week.
It could take months to finishsome of those things.
But the moment you startworking at it and chipping it
off, it's all of a suddeneverything starts to move again.
Energy starts to move.
You know, if there's stagnationin your financial house, then
check your financial integritylist.

(21:43):
If there's stagnation in yourhealth house, check your health
integrity list.
You know, are you taking yoursupplements, or did you make
that doctor's appointment?
Or are you listening to yourbody?
What will you do next?
Did you get up and go to thegym when you said you were going
to?
Did you make the food that yousaid you were going to?
Or did you opt out and driveinto the drive-thru and go pick

(22:06):
up something that you know youshouldn't be eating?
Like what are those littlethings?
And then begin to put them allon paper and begin to check them
off.
Check them off.
Check them off and I promiseyou you will have this flow
coming into your life and thingswill show up.
You'll have more creativity, you'll feel lighter, You'll feel

(22:27):
more energized.
So that is the simple tool.
It is an integrity list.
Now here's the catch to theintegrity list it never ends.
It just never ends.
You're always putting your lifeinto that whole state and as
you put more things in, you'llnotice more things get added,

(22:47):
because that's just the way lifeis.
But one of the things I learnedwhen I did that practice every
day back in the day is that whenI didn't do that practice, I
would notice how things gotclunky in my life.
Clunky things started occurring, whether it was people and
their behaviors or bills, something happening where
something was like I don't know, like a bill collection or

(23:09):
something like oh shit, missedthat bill, you know something
stupid.
But things of that nature wouldshow up and in that moment I'd
be like, oh gosh, I have to getback to my integrity list, like
where am I out of integrity, where am I out of wholeness,
where am I out of character?
And that's the other thing is,your character shifts when you
get yourself back into integrity.

(23:30):
You feel lighter, you feel moreconfident, you feel more at
ease, you feel more at peace.
Who doesn't want more peace intheir mind?
You feel more satiated, youfeel calm.
Who doesn't want that Right?
So that is the single, one ofthe most single, most powerful

(23:55):
tools I can think of to sharewith you today.
I do want to thank all of you.
We just had the beautifulsummer solstice yesterday and I
hope you got out there andcreated something beautiful and
you're stepping into this wholenew time of summer, and summer
has arrived.
I was really fortunate andblessed to go on a summer

(24:18):

beautiful and amazing and it wasexactly what I needed after a
very long and stressful week andalthough the week was
incredibly productive it wasstressful, but it was productive
and lots of amazing thingshappened and this was just a
perfect way to button up, youknow, this season and enjoy it

(24:42):
in good company and laughter andjust peace and serenity and fun
, and that's what's available.
That's what's available.
So I want to thank you all fortuning in this week and thank
you so much for listening.
If you are enjoying thispodcast, please do share it.
