On today's episode, I'm going continue my discussion on personality development.   I have always found personality development to be interesting ever since I sat in college listening to a professor discuss whether or not there people have a soul.  In this episode, my goal is to provide a brief overview of Adler's Individual Psychology and approach to personality development.  Adler at one point was connected with Freud, but had disagreements with Freud in how he saw the human psyche.  Adler felt that individuals more from a "felt" minus to a "perceived" plus.  He also felt that the internal workings of the mind did not fight for dominance as Freud suggested but instead worked together for that purpose.  Adlerian psychotherapy is still practiced today, and a lot of his concepts helped inform many of the theories of therapy that currently are used in the realm of mental health treatment.
