In this episode of It Takes Balls, Dominic Gross, an FBI special agent and testicular cancer survivor, shares his journey from diagnosis to recovery.

Dominic first noticed something was off while going through intense SWAT training, experiencing pain and swelling that he initially brushed aside. Struggling to find a primary care provider, he eventually secured an appointment, which led to a quick series of tests confirming his diagnosis. His treatment included surgery, chemotherapy, and an RPLND surgery with Dr. Tim Clinton, each presenting its own set of physical and emotional challenges.

Through it all, Dominic credits the unwavering support of his family, colleagues, and medical team for helping him push through. He reflects on the importance of listening to your body, being your own advocate, and finding strength in community.

Dominic would like to add that these are his own personal thoughts and experiences surrounding his cancer journey, and they are not necessarily positions or endorsed opinions of the FBI or U.S. Government.
